1221  Economy / Gambling / Re: Predict888.com - 180% Deposit Bonus🔥Upto $10,000⭐Earn 7 BTC+🔥 on: December 27, 2022, 10:13:37 PM
let's talk about the bonus... The rules say:

Quote
*stake amount x 1% x 20% = Unlock amount

*For example you stakeed $500 on any of our games it will unlock 500x1%x20% = 1 MUSD for you.
*500% stakeing requirements may seem high but there are many advantages.

Should it be attractive for us to wager $500 to unlock only $1? I mean, if we want to unlock the full bonus we need to wager 500*500=$250,000, and wagering that amount with a $500 depo is just impossible.

So, thanks for the promo, but I don't feel it is worth it.

1223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Ubuntu storage with Bitcoin Core on: December 27, 2022, 05:09:36 PM
I have downloaded Core Version 23.
The Blockchain size is 500G as expected,
Still - the total amount of storage on the disk is more than 800G (which includes only this software).

I should note that I use VM on a specific 1TB SSD to run the Node.
I used Ubuntu since I have found a very good Tutorial on Youtube (although I do not have any experience with Linux...).

Looking forward to your insights,
Nir

Since the title is Ubuntu storage I will focus on that for the answer.

It's ok to run the bitcoin core under a virtual machine, since you are running ubuntu you will be able to run the core from the Bitcoin folder you downloaded before, let's say it is in the folder ~/Downloads/Bitcoin... and from there you can run the bitcoin-qt. But all the data will not get stored in that folder, the blockchain will be stored in the folder ~/.bitcoin (which is a hidden folder). In that folder you will find the .dat file where the blockchain is stored and the bitcoin.conf file to configure the RPC calls.

Please next time be more clear with the questions and we will be happy to help you.

1225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream has become a reality on: December 26, 2022, 10:56:17 PM
It would be nice if you can sell your designs for bitcoin and ship them around the world. For sure you can get a lot of clients that way because bitcoin is a tool to close deals with people from other counties, that's my favorite feature.

Maybe the next step is to make a book of your designs to be able to promote bulk sales. And maybe that way you will hit the right customer to become his provider  Wink
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Licenses and Casino reputation on: December 26, 2022, 10:50:19 PM
It's simple, the casinos with licenses need to prove they have the bankroll and the right infrastructure to run the casino, they are businesses with the right registration and documentation, and since they are professional businesses they can get the license.

The casinos without a license must be trusted by their probably fair engine and the trust of the operators because they can run at any moment with the mone or just say they got hacked and all our money will be gone.
1227  Economy / Gambling / Re: making 500-1000usd daily in poker must read i need a partner! on: December 26, 2022, 09:11:51 PM
A good question would be how much does OP need to make those 500-1000usd daily. That's complex to get starting from low amounts like $10. Just think about the all-ins $20, $40, $80, $160, $320, $640... to win 6 all-ins in one run isn't easy.

It would be better if you offer a service like double op the investment with poker, but still a risky move to the users because you can lose all or walk away with the money in your pockets.
1228  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: decentralized supercomputer on: December 26, 2022, 05:26:52 PM
Is it possible to build a decentralized supercomputer from networked bitcoin miners?

If it's decentralized then who will get the mining reward?

And why do you want to make it decentralized? i feel it's better to get a group of people to make that supercomputer and share the reward among all the people who spend money on that supercomputer.

Maybe I'm not getting the decentralized concept here, but I feel it's impossible to make a project like that. Because it has a cost, and people who spend money on it would expect a reward. But what you can do is create a decentralized mining pool to let any supercomputer join it.

1230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: December 26, 2022, 05:15:13 PM
That world cup will be crazy because traveling between 3 countries to watch the games isn't a good option for all. I have no idea why FIFA decide to make it this way, but I don't like at all the format.

Even for the players will be complex to play in Mexico in high altitudes and hot temperatures, and then move to Canada for another match at low temperatures. I can't imagine the teams who get to the final, traveling each 2 days on plain, that would be hard for them.

-Crypto deposit (BTC, ETH, LTC) you can add more

Hello ArabianFella.

I have developed casinos in the past, and I could say your price is really low for a project like this. And I have some questions about the deposits and withdrawals. Does your engine handle them or it's a 3rd party service?

And what aspects does our server need to run your engine? do you provide the server too and you only provide the script?

To be honest, the low price makes me feel like there is something tricky behind this project, feels like a trap.
1232  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: create bech32 address in python bit library and questions on: December 26, 2022, 03:27:23 AM
i want to create bech32 address in bit.

Quote
>>> from bit import Key
>>> key = Key()
>>> print(key)
<PrivateKey: 1Q42mvgDhLYYD4hEcLbpwXNheKKUFDupxa>

the output is the address not privkey.Comparison here:
Quote
>>> print(key.address)
1Q42mvgDhLYYD4hEcLbpwXNheKKUFDupxa

Why does bit not output the privkey as expected?I have to use this command to get the privkey displayed as expected
Quote
>>> print(key.to_hex())
57d706092c69dbdd7275caaf594163368d0d05af2e56aed55e48df5eeab5e6df

there is a command to output tje segwit address that begins with '3'
Quote
>>> print(key.segwit_address)
3744W6xs6musQKTGhLYTrr3VffphdG5E8f

but how do I output the bech32 address that begins with 'bc1' ?

the only way I know to do that with python is by getting the hash160 from the address, and then get the bench32 address from the hash160

Code:
>>> import binascii, hashlib, base58
>>> hash160 = binascii.hexlify(base58.b58decode_check(b'1Q42mvgDhLYYD4hEcLbpwXNheKKUFDupxa')).decode()[2:]
>>> hash160
'fcdd9f4c0f347a5ded0419466ed585395b669646'

So, now we have the hash160 we get the bench32 address:

Code:
>>> import bech32
>>> witprog = bytes.fromhex('fcdd9f4c0f347a5ded0419466ed585395b669646')
>>> witver = 0x00
>>> hrp = 'bc'
>>> address = bech32.encode(hrp, witver, witprog)
>>> print(address)
bc1qlnwe7nq0x3a9mmgyr9rxa4v989dkd9jxa0uwqf

And to prove the data is right, you can verify it in the next link:

https://privatekeys.pw/address/bitcoin/1Q42mvgDhLYYD4hEcLbpwXNheKKUFDupxa

I hope these commands help you because as AlexanderCurl mentioned, it isn't possible to do it directly from bit library.

1234  Economy / Gambling / Re: LIVE Christmas Gambling Stream with DiceBot and Script for Free! on: December 24, 2022, 08:38:59 PM
Nice stream, I'm watching it and looks like the bot is really printing, let me share a screen shot.

But since 1 XRP is $0.35 it's not really exiting to see the profit. I mean, if you want to do some low rolls better un clam in Just-Dice and martingale starting from 0.00000001 clams. At least that way the stream can be there for 24h with less than $1

I'm not sure how much you want to win or what's the goal to stop, but if you can get an x1000 of your original balance, that would be nice.
1235  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: big project development, looking for investor/advertisers on: December 24, 2022, 07:51:53 PM
Hello guys, i appreciate all comments. The details can be sent in Private
What's the matter? We are all strangers here. What would be the difference if you sent some little details in private or revealed them in public? I don't ask you to reveal us who you are (nor should you in private, because again we're strangers), but a little about the project would seem rational.

I'm in the same boat as BlackHatCoiner, how do you want to get investors if you don't really tell us what's the project about, how it works, and what % of the share you offer? To talk about business you need to be clear because in other ways it's not attractive.

From my personal point of view feels like a waste of time to write you by PM just to know more about the project, and I'm sure a lot of users feel the same. But good luck with your project.
1236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Based on Proof Instead of Trust on: December 24, 2022, 03:30:41 PM
I think is based in both... I know the protocol name is PoW but not everyone understands how it really works, and there is where the trust comes. People don't need to understand the technical side of bitcoin to make transactions, they only need to trust it and have a wallet. That's how it works nowadays.

I also want to know more about Bitcoin and also crypto.

A good starting point is a book Mastering Bitcoin. If you google it you will find it. If after reading the book you have more questions, then feel free to ask them on the forum.
1237  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to play poker with crypto ? on: December 23, 2022, 11:33:47 PM
Blackjack.fun? When I participated in the signature campaign, I registered on the site and played blackjack, but I don't remember any poker options at all.
It was long ago when they first launched their website they only had backjack but later they added more games like a regular casinos do. I did not check but somehow it was a picture in my mind that they had poker same as SWC. Now checked their site again and it seems all they have are regular games from different providers. Even the pokers are too.
...

This kind of live poker feels weird to me, since is the players betting vs the house then users can't select the betting amount in the middle of the game as it could happen in a real poker table. I mean, if you bet $1, then the raise when they show the 4th card need to be the same amount you use when joining the game, and you can't go all in. That's why I don't recommend poker from live betting.

1240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stolen BTCs from paper wallet on: December 23, 2022, 01:10:21 PM
1) Many corporate printers will generate a copy of everything you print for management /

2) Same with company owned machines, they know & see everything you do. In this case it's not even 'I went to a bad site and got malware installed' but the company PC came with it to report on you.

I was thinking the same, for security reasons the printers at work used to save a copy of all the printed files, so, it was a terrible mistake to use the office printer for a paper wallet because even if the network is secure the saved files in the printer are not.

And the second big mistake was to generate the address online, that's a terrible mistake that no one should do because you don't know if the page saves in a database each generated address.
