Well I am guessing poolfinity.com/BSY/ is on a wrong fork? My withdrawl has gone missing on the way to wallet. Pretty sure the block numbers aren't the same if someone fancies confirming?
Going to test their withdrawal, see if it disappears into the void on the way to my wallet. I've got some questions and a proposal based on what I've observed over the last few days... There is one drive-by hasher (MonkeyPaw) with a big rig, 20Mh/s or so, who rolls through the pool once in a while. Interesting... he just jumped on there now and is showing 700Kh/s or so, but his "expected" is showing 26,000 BSY a day. Now that, if we can trust the numbers, is about four times what we see at peak. If we can trust the numbers!This is where my poor borderline functional autistic math brain starts to go into melt-down, because I've found that I can't trust any of the numbers I'm seeing at all! For instance, when I see in the wallet, numbers like I posted last night, then I add my 600Kh/s to it, I don't see a change at all. I'll see the wallet report two radically different numbers for the difficulty at the same time, one while hovering over the green check mark (right now 0.00024654) and a different value from 'getmininginfo' (1.1816654). while numbers = fuckedup call headdesk(); Question... Who's hashing with what where? Proposal: Ditch pools for now, everyone hashes through wallets and we distribute things as much as possible until we straighten things out, gain some stability. Edit: Pool just went into "investigating issues in the backend." mode.

Gotta get some more miners online, this is getting ridiculous.
"blocks" : 323926, "genproclimit" : 7, "hashespersec" : 17647, "networkhashps" : 112561,
Edit: No, not ridiculous, positively surreal.

I've had all my computers 1-thread mining this coin since launch. I really like the anti-profit concept and would be interested to see it on an exchange.
and thank you for the continued support. 1 thread mining for everyone would be so perfect for the long term success of MonetaryUnit, though I understand most will likely mine at their peak rate for best returns, which is fair enough. And hoorah for that! I was mining Phoenixcoin for a wee bit there until I looked into this huge spike they had in their hash-rate. Seems someone jumped in and mined Five Million coins in a couple of days. Of what use is a fair algo if someone can come in and steam-roll you with 1000+ rented cores? The whole concept of cryptocurrency relies on it being distributed. This isn't "redistribution of wealth", it's leveling the playing field.

Could someone with the proper totally straight-up honest blockchain post some info, numbers? Not sure if I'm sliding off onto some netherworld here (serves me right for using a Klein bottle for a water reservoir). I've added nodes I saw listed earlier and have connection on 188.226.187.182:36274. Currently at around block 195,000 but it's showing estimated total blocks as 160,836. Would be nice to know for certain if things are synched proper once this is done. Thanks!
the numbers are weird sometimes but it will be fine. just wait and see. i am fully synced again. And thar she be! { "blocks" : 321849, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.01987761, "errors" : "", "generate" : true, "genproclimit" : 7, "hashespersec" : 59204, "networkhashps" : 2535824, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false } Now with cgminer feeding the wallet at around 500Kh/s right now it looks like I'm a major percentage of the network. Blocks coming in every couple of minutes and I've got a feeling of unbridled power that's... intoxicating! Mwahaha! Excellent! Proof of Evil - "The business in bismuth was brisk on the isthmus." I have just tied your tongues. Now kneel!

Ah.... yeah....
{ "blocks" : 321294, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.01386661, "errors" : "", "generate" : true, "genproclimit" : 7, "hashespersec" : 36843, "networkhashps" : 589864, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }
My 7050 gets about that sooo.... how do I get the wallet to re-do things past say, block 320,000 or so? Looked at command line options and didn't see enough specifics.
Create a shortcut to the Banksycoin wallet, and add "-rescan" to the target, without the quotes. Edit: I just tried this, and it doesn't appear to work with this wallet. Anyone know why? Me too. St13runtime error 22, Can't open database file blkindex.dat Thanks. VERY tired right now and unashamedly asking for stuff I could dig for. Ah well, download we must. Edit: Oh balls. Gets that error now without the -rescan. Reinstalling, trying again.

Yes addnode=66.85.133.206:36274 addnode=82.139.116.38:36274
have this one in the conf as well (and it is the only one that works for me): addnode=188.226.187.182:36274 Ditto. Just wanna double-check before I turn on the hash machine. { "blocks" : 321286, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.04027500, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : 7, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 1732685, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false } So like, we cool? A fork is usually caused by very low hash rate - whether or not it is more likely when solo mining, I would guess, is dependent on exactly how low that hash rate is. (sort of guessing here) I have got to learn more about blockchain construction, what's in it, how to interpret it. For instance, I just had a quick look through the block explorer in the wallet. Noticed that there's very erratic hashrates shown there from block to block. However, when I jump back to say block 200,000 or so I see the same thing. This scene and it's sparse tool-set has definitely brought out the old coder geek in me but let's just say that the last compiler I used was Borland C++ ... on my 386 (first one was Apple ][ Pascal!) Not really looking forwards to it but I'm also not looking forwards to being put out on the ice-floe this winter. S'true, they still do that up here. Guessing by your local time - you in Alaska, or that region, in general? My first "compiler" (lol!) was this "space age" doo-dad, er.. computer, that I got in 1978 for my 16th birthday. Wow - I feel olllllllldddd! Wow! You got birthday presents? Awesome! Ah, I never bother to set the time-zones on these forums. I'm from Mantoba where we've had to import our own (look up Red-River floodway). Great place to do some serous overclocking.

transactions from and to coin-swap and bittrex are not working properly! i sent a PM to banksycoin dev
We are chasing this up now.. Bugger! FYI the last block I received (or possibly generated) was 320667. Question, how does a fork develop? Is it more likely to happen when one is solo-mining? Still learning the mathematics of this, not my field.

It looks like there's life in the old dog yet. Maybe Doge will not die after all.
Which of these "coins" can you actually buy something with? There are only three coins out there that are actually being used somewhat as money, you know which they are. Further reality checks... Crypto-world looks pretty big on the inside, but from the outside you can't even see it. In this city of a million for instance, there are only about 20 places where Bitcoin is used. Mass adoption? I wish, you wish, we all wish. Truth is though that most coins have such low trading volumes that they can't even be said to exist, even as speculative vehicles.

just try google for some good online service to get your stuff printed, it could be something like this here who print your photos on canvas in good quality. maybe someone here knows a good company for that. then list your work on banksycoin.co.uk and add printing and shipping costs to the price of your work. I'd definitely need a few good trusted recommendations. I've had nightmare situations with "the best" print shop in Winnipeg. Used em twice, never again. The first print they did for me was, coincidentally, that second picture of the ice crystals. That first one, easy, nothing but blinding yellow, but it took me ages to balance the color in that second one and I couldn't believe how off they got it. Totally green-hued, made my skin crawl and my eye twitch, very expensive, too late to change before entering it in a competition (which I won with my second entry, hoorah!) Still, I gave them a second chance. This time they printed it SIX TIMES too large. Whawhawhat? Found that the best prints in town were from London Drugs of all places. I'll have to see if they ship internationally, don't see why not. There's nothing like an agent though. Someone who can get your stuff in a few windows on the right streets, or on the right walls in the right restaurants.

Ya want art? I'll give ya art! Here's something that's fairly signature of my style. I like to paint with light. I love it when the viewer says they know it's real but they don't know what or how. I like to push through extremes and see what comes out on the other side. You shouldn't do this with a camera, point a 500mm lens straight into blinding sunlight. Just so WRONG! And now for a quick <rant>. Bloody bloody bloody elitist crap! I had to put up with this shit in high-school when I was learning 6502 machine language. "Do you know how to..." "Don't bother me, figure it out yourself." That was over 30 years ago. My last programming job was an Autocad Lisp application back in 1997, Acad-12, first Windows 3.1 version. I'm tired, I hurt, and I do NOT feel the need to learn all the background and related whatever just to install a javascript plugin off of Github just to post post to a forum. Sorry Bitcointa.lk, suck it. *sigh* This scene is absolutely terrible with documentation. </rant> I need an agent. I'm stuck up in the northlands of Manitoba where my work/subjects are. I don't have access to a good print shop and know nothing about the market. Oh I've got the pictures, tons of them, award winners and one in the provincial archives, but that's where it ends. I just don't have the access or resources to make a real go of it. Artists are rarely the type of people needed to sell their work anyways, we only talk like this...
