It looks like it is down again. Shocked
382  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Intersango Exchange on: December 28, 2012, 06:16:25 PM
You should change this bit:

Quote
Intersango offers a secure and reliable way to buy and sell bitcoins

Let people know you are closing shop from the start.
Exactly, and more than likely with people's money as well. The website is now down!
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to mine on: December 16, 2012, 06:54:30 PM
i am looking to pick up a 6970 specifically for mining.

Ever since the block reward subsidy halving a couple weeks ago, those who are still GPU mining of Bitcoin are either mining at a loss or are paying a really cheap rate (or free) for electricity.

But even for those with cheap electricity, that characteristic is just delaying the inevitable -- the day the GPUs get powered down.

This is because as soon as any one of the five ASIC manufacturers start shipping in quantity, not even cheap electricity will help you.

So unless you were hoping for a 6970 specificallly for gaming, and would like a good excuse to buy one ("for mining"), then don't waste your time or money.

Also the bitcoin price has been going up since the halving.

I agree with this incite not to mention I think it may make any new Alt coin even more valuable to mine to trade for BTC like last year.

ruuuuuuun foooooooreeeeeeeesst! ruuuuuuuun! Cheesy
Wish I could honestly and I wonder why they didn't simply disable trading via GBP.
There is a HUGE warning on the accounts index which is the first page you see after logging in.
Why does Intersango lists the "International fees" and UK bank transfer page as still being active while "desposits" seem inactive!!! I still stand by what I say until someone from Intersango rectifies MY situation.
385  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Intersango Exchange on: December 08, 2012, 06:59:39 PM
Fuccckkkk,If I had known about the issues concerning the exchange I wouldn't have sold for GBP.The last time I was here in the early part of the year it seemed pretty much a legitimate exchange. The excuse that one cannot withdraw or transfer GBP is complete BS and makes it look very scammish! Well,I guess I've gotten my coal for Christmas...thanks Intersango!
386  Economy / Marketplace / GBP and Intersango? on: December 06, 2012, 02:06:14 AM
I haven't been doing BTC for a while but does anyone know the process on how to withdraw GBP to Dwolla from Intersango or give an incite as to how with low fee if possible?
387  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens Monday? on: August 18, 2012, 05:08:47 AM
I'm thinking actually there will be price swings until the price fluctuates to something a bit more nominal to the markets which has been going on with the price going from 10-13.5 and settling until either the next big dump, investment or pirate, lol.
388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Didn't we do this already? on: August 18, 2012, 05:04:57 AM
^By that rationale, wouldn't that mean that the surge in bitcoin is not over in the short term considering he wasn't successful in the aim of gaining profit.
389  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are back to where I originally bought in! on: August 17, 2012, 07:15:02 PM
I'd actually wait to see first. The fundamentals at the other exchanges are pretty much the same with the price being over 15.Gox is just one exchange.
390  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crash!!!! on: August 17, 2012, 07:11:14 PM
Actually,I think people should buy now that the price is lower.
391  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your exit strategy? on: August 17, 2012, 02:23:45 PM
My strategy is to take profit in the form of Gold and Silver.
Ah,I see we think alike.
392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: August 17, 2012, 06:15:44 AM
Well as I said in an earlier post it was going to hit 14 today but I'm satisfied still.
393  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: August 17, 2012, 03:49:44 AM
Well,Just sold me a bunch @ 13.8 that's it for me have a good night folks and have a great day.Bought at 8 and made quite a profit.
394  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: August 17, 2012, 03:39:29 AM
I'm thinking 14 could actually be hit tonight or tomorrow.
395  Economy / Speculation / Re: New users flooding this forum on: August 17, 2012, 02:14:46 AM
I still feel kinda new,but it wasn't really until the gox got above 10 again did I have any interest again and had many variable coins all over.I think if the news started reporting on BTC there would obviously be another flood.
396  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: August 16, 2012, 01:08:57 AM
This is insane a dollar rise in a day.
397  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do we break $12.67 today? on: August 15, 2012, 07:12:48 PM
Saw it break ~12.80 today.I'm thinking whoever is responsible for the rally will also be responsible for the next crash.
398  Economy / Speculation / Re: A potential top @ $12.16: the bearish case on: August 15, 2012, 07:11:01 PM
I think the pricing will go higher simply because of the economic collapse in Europe followed by the difficulty increase.Unless some 'tard with a lot of BTC decides to just sell a huge amount to affect the current rally.
399  Economy / Speculation / Re: A potential top @ $12.16: the bearish case on: August 14, 2012, 01:11:57 PM
Don't know, but early this morning I saw Mtgox top out at $12:38.I think it will break $13 within the next week 1/2.
400  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB i7 cpu's on: October 15, 2011, 05:26:30 PM
The cheapest CPU's are probably going to be at Microcenter or Fry's.When the i5 came out got one for ~ $156 including tax, although they place limits at 1 per customer and is usually an in store good buy only.
