281  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] last SP20e (Spondoolies) with free shipping to US, new price on: March 11, 2015, 03:33:25 PM
wtf is a gucci edition psu?? i cant see any info about this so please explain y ur listing a corsair psu for almost 1200 bucks?? im blown away by the prices in this thread and then i hit that item listed and i nearly fell outta my seat lol.
282  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Pieces of laptop. on: March 09, 2015, 07:25:01 AM
More important then prices is the model of the laptop ur parting out and condition of the parts ur listing. Saying compaq parts for sale doesnt tell you anything since parts dont interchange even wireless cards dont work in other model laptops due to bios whitelists to prevent user upgrades so this thread so far is pretty pointless.
283  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: Spondoolies SP20E x8 - $410 shipped on: February 28, 2015, 06:06:13 PM
If it makes anyone feel better, the guy's name actually is Chris Powell, from Texas. I've done business with him a couple times over the last year.
ooo ok lol. i didnt mean to imply he was a scammer or anything i just meant that he used a pic that he said he took for ebay but never used it but i saw this very same pic on a bunch of scammer listings on ebay since i look often for miner and i also list them for sale too so in case im not the only one that saw them it might be best to add a fresh photo so no one thinks hes gonna run with their money....but i tend to type the way i talk and im pretty synical lol so my bad.

he seems to be really busy i guess since he hasnt replied to anyone yet....maybe he changed his mind??

if he does come back pm me if interested in working somethin out.

285  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: Spondoolies SP20E x8 - $410 shipped on: February 26, 2015, 01:32:20 AM
i saw these listed on ebay months ago....that picture was used with a bunch of chinese sellers with no feedback sellin them for super cheap at the time with free shipping but you said the picture was from when you were going to list them which implies you never did list them on ebay so not sure how that pic got used by other ebay sellers so can u post a pic with ur username and not someone elses in it??

would u take $350 each for multiple??
286  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Spondoolies SP30-hosted in WA on: February 19, 2015, 06:04:40 PM
just for the record, there NEVER been any offer from OP.

arent u the op?? lol and i never mentioned a number no but i said i would be interested if the price was lower and u lectured me on how its a good deal and yadda yadda yadda so if you arent willing to go lower how would i have an opening to make an offer?? u think ur price is a "bargain" so anything less would be seen as me jewin u out right??
287  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Spondoolies SP30-hosted in WA on: February 19, 2015, 04:34:42 PM
Unless you intend on buying it, there's no reason to argue about the price. Just let the man sell his own property for what he wants to get out of it.

yes and no....if he makes threads to sell items over a legit price that not only wastes his time but the time of the folks that have to read through shitty threads about overpriced miners. sure im wasting time replying but i CHOOSE to waste time replying i didnt choose to see a thread about someone selling their stuff for wayyyyy more then it will ever make so thats what this is all about really. if he really wanted to sell his miner he wouldnt ask so damn much for something used and possibly abused which means he isnt that interested in selling it at all which again goes back to him wasting the time of readers and also people pming him asking about buying it.

at the same time i totally agree with the part "he can sell it for whatever he wants to sell it for" but i do not believe this is the type of place for his kind of sale. If i made a hundred threads with each one listing a $1 bill for sale at $100 would that not piss people off?? i know if i saw a hundred threads with that posted in it i would be annoyed that i wasted the time trying to find legit threads for items with legit prices. Ebay is the type of place to list things for high prices like miners. at the very least he shouldnt try convincing others his item is a "good deal" when clearly its not. 8-9 days of mining for free isnt a "good deal". its a perk for sure but nothing that really makes or breaks the sale of his miners. and quoting incorrect numbers to make my comparisons seems false isnt right either. other sellers accepted offers for less then this because they know the numbers right now.....u shouldnt bet on numbers that have been however high at one point.....thats how people go broke.

this thread is just like his s5 thread where he wants $460 for an s5 and makes claims that antminers die within the first few weeks or they run forever which is not true. fans dont make his miner ne better and if they do just go buy the fuckin fans urself morons! he even stated the prices for the fans as being $38 so why pay way over the cost of a brand new miner?? because he says it has run great for however long and wont ever die because of that?? let me see a chart showing the statistics here.....how many miners arrive doa vs. how many arrive working and how many die within the first 2 weeks vs. how many die after months.....theres no contest there ot here but one thing is certain this dude is jackin up prices and trying to goat people into buyin his stuff by throwin small perks out there as if they r huge ones. thats unfair and shady.

forgot to add.....i was into buyin both items listed....i wanted the sp30 and the s5's but not at his ridiculous prices. if i wanted to go that way i would buy them from ebay and get the ebay bucks and rewards bonus points for purchasing from my credit card so dont assume i wasnt willing to buy anything when i was.
288  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Spondoolies SP30-hosted in WA on: February 19, 2015, 04:12:48 PM
the sp31 is $2075 for 4.9th/s but for 3 sp20's its $1195 with free shipping and at full speed is 5th/s and at efficient speeds is almost 4th/s at 2100w so what exactly are you proving here?? that u think ur offer is "a good deal"?? cause really its high priced. if it was a good deal u wouldn't be selling it for this much. so if the same company sells 3 miners that combined run faster then ur one miner and use less power does that mean u will lower ur price below $1195 since u want to offer "good deals" to people??

some people like to run a single machine, plus you are comparing apples and oranges since SP20 at full speed requires purchasing of three EVGA1300, which are at least $160 each.
$1195+3X$160=$1675, so it is basically the same
thanks for your attention, but you don't have to like what I offer, please move along.

lol ur assuming people will buy oem psu's. if they did buy them they dont need the g2 and if they did get the g2 people r selling them here for 120 so the price right off the bat is 160 bucks less then urs. ontop of that they hash faster even in an underclocked state and use far less power then the sp30 lol. and it allows a wider range of power to be used because ir can go on 110v without any issues. ontop of that if they are like me an use server psu's then they can pickup a dps-1200fb for about $25 that puts out 900w of power and runs an sp20 without any issues so when u truly break it down then there price difference is much larger then ur realizing.

Roadstress sell them for 1600$

You may want to recheck your price.

Cheer

Valkir

first of all, $1650, but I include 9 days of free mining and he does not.
you can buy from him or make an offer, i don't understand your point.

Thats only about a hundred bucks which is great dont get me wrong but 100 bucks doesnt offset the 2 years to break even which after the next few days will add another few weeks to that roi time and the next adjustment will add a few more weeks and so on. Its hard to get so much for these miners because they are so large and require so much power...sure they get some of the best numbers out there but most cant run these at home so they need a hosting facility or a location with 220v (im in the us so 220v is the standard washer/dryer plug) which means they wont ever roi before the machine dies. Idk about u but i wont ever risk over a grand when the most likely outcome right now is 2+ years to break even and electronics r a pain in the ass so u should never bet that something that can have so much go wrong will work forever because it wont. U have pcs from the 90's that r alive and kickin....through a flood and all that and somehow they still work and at the same time u can go buy a brand new macbook pro right now and the board can burn out on u the day u start using it so electronics fail and for a used miner that has been running full tilt or close to it has been run hard no matter how u look at it so hes right ur prices r a little high even with "free mining"....it really isnt free if hes a hundred bucks starting price lower then ur price and he can be worked down further im sure but idk the dude so im just assuming but im sure i can go on forever about prices here....in the end if u want ebay prices sell ur shizz on ebay not here....u might get lucky but u will have better luck sellin on ebay....thats what i do.
291  Economy / Computer hardware / Buying dead cointerra pumps on: February 19, 2015, 02:08:29 PM
Like the title says im buying cointerra liquid cooling kits that arent functioning anymore. I know people have tons of them so if u have them layon around let me know and we can work something out.
292  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Spondoolies SP30-hosted in WA on: February 19, 2015, 03:47:52 AM
At .13 per kw/h it would take almost 2 years to break even at todays diff which is gonna go up so thats a bit high.
293  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] SPONDOOLIES SP20E + EVGA 1300 SUPERNOVA (CA) on: February 18, 2015, 05:11:04 PM
turn the fan around so it blows air instead of pulling air through....its not a sealed airtight tube so you get much better cooling results when you flip the fan 180 degrees.
294  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: February 17, 2015, 12:49:31 AM
sry, maybe a lil out of context but has anyone at all ever got the wifi to work?
I believe John K was attempting it, but I never heard if he succeeded.  I would also like to know, out of professional curiosity, if this has ever worked in the wild.

I try with few Tplink Usb`s, no one get recognized.

Probably miners controller support some of wifi chipsets, but not all. so we just have to find correct one.

I ordered 3 different wireless cards that were listed by spondoolies and neither one gets detected by any of the sp20's. I had to get tplink mini routers from microcenter and they work just fine wirelessly now but its a jumbled mess of cables now so a usb adapter would be much cleaner. Also i only see spondoolies say wifi has been turned on for testing with sp10's in the test firmware....i know the wifi button is shown in the admin page but its hard to believe it does anything when 3 exact cards gets no results. I just used them in other machines ne way so no biggie i guess.

I asked spondoolies to give us the ability to add files to the miners and or give a package manager for the miners so we can add our own wifi drivers and the rep replied back with "thanks for your suggestion" so im guessing that means no. If they gave us root access to the miners idk y its frowned upon to give us a dang package manager. They promote the recovery image guide they posted so i dont see the harm here at all as long as they state this is at our own risk and we r responsible for recovering the image if we mess something up software wise.

On a side note can someone pm me a link to where spondoolies explains their changelog between all of their firmware revissions?? I tried looking but only find changes for the main updates and not the test updates so idk what changes were made from the last test version to the new one.
295  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: [WTS]2X antminer S5 with family-friendly fans on: February 16, 2015, 07:11:06 PM
Lol r u serious on ur prices?? At $460 it would take people that pay .13 per kw/h like i do 369 days to break even. With free power it would take 149 days. Not many have free power but if they had free power they prob wouldnt care about the noise lvl because they would use other miners as space heaters or they would stick them outside. I got 3 sp20's a few weeks ago for $350 each so if u want prices like ur asking for then u might be better off on ebay but even then i think ur prices r super high for used never able to reach roi miners.

higher price is because of fan mods plus about two weeks head start as Bitmain is closed for shipping until Feb 25, but thanks for your suggestions.

Fans arent expensive at all so the mod would be what 20-30 bucks give or take

these particular fans are worth ~$38 as I clearly stated. You don't have to buy it.
In addition, there were no coupons issued for S5 sold in late january, at least i did not get any.

they usually add them but maybe they didnt because of the Chinese holiday stuff....after all they stopped selling s5's all together i guess to reduce the risk of selling them for less btc then they want for each one if the btc price goes up a bit so maybe you will see them AFTER the holiday is over. everything else still stands though. idk y a year before it breaks even if the diff stays exactly the same which obviously it wont looks reasonable to folks lol. obviously i dont have to buy anything but i dont agree with price gouging either....it throws the whole market off all because of some new miners paying wayyyyyyyy more then something is worth simply because they dont know ne better which makes the next guy think they r worth x amount of dollars all because he saw others price gouging lol.

also please dont be a smartass....u know they r high priced so dont act like 38 dollar fans justify tackin on over a hundred bucks to the used miner price tag. i just comment because no one else seems to want to and i dont want new folks googling stuff to come across ur miners and think because hes making it seem like its a good deal that it must be a good deal. thats all.

Right now each s5 i own makes me 2-3 bucks a day. When u buy a miner from bitmaintech u get a coupon towards ur next order which lowers the cost of the next set u order and u get a brand new miner with a warranty starting the day they get dropped off. Fans arent expensive at all so the mod would be what 20-30 bucks give or take....to make the hundred bucks ur tackin onto the bitmain price would take 33-50 days IF the difficulty stays the same which we all know it wont stay the same. Im not sure how used miners can be priced this dang high even with quieter fans. The miners will break before the year is up so it wont ever make u money let alone break even. The s5's i have now were brand new from bitmain and have issues where sometimes one blade cuts off after running for a few days straight in my cold ass basement so do i expect them to last a year?? I hope they do but in a few months there will be other miners that make more and eat up less power so running these wont be worth it even with free power. This is just price gougin ontop of bitmains already high pricetag which morally isnt cool. I sold my used c1's on enay for $50 less then bitmains price because they were used....no sense in rippin folks off even if they r willin to toss money at u without thinkin.

Temp Front / Back T,B
27 °C / 78,74 °C

Any mods?

Ya im wonderin that myself cause he/she quoted me but if he did what i did to 3 miners so far he would have better numbers then that.

EDIT: oops didnt notice his voltage settings so his clock is higher then mine but the same questions still stand though.
299  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Spondoolies SP20 review - A Green miner with a Loud fan on: February 09, 2015, 11:07:34 AM
Ok so i read the posts in this thread and maybe i missed it but i didnt see ne one posting about doind something as simple as flipping the fan 180 degrees. The temps reported on the main status page showed:

Before = 66/58

After flipping the fan to blow air instead of pull air = 42/41

Asic temps all show 85 when before the first half were 85 and the second half were anywhere from 105-115. After the swap the very last asic in the chain hovers between 85 and 95 but thats acceptable. The other asics do not go up or down so im not sure what their temps are. Im thinkin 85 is the lowest it will go because when the miner first starts ik its not 85 degrees but the stats page say 85 on all the chips so idk what the temps are but they r either exactly at 85 degrees or lower. Thats seems like a pretty damn good decrease in temps that involves removing 4 screws and putting them back in....keep it simple peoples lol.

Also my settings are- .62/.62./.62/.62
                                .67
                                 180/180/180/180
1322gh/s after running for about an hour.

For pulling air through the miners u need a sealed tube because any non sealed areas make the airflow into the miner less powerful. After removing the lid to flip the fan u will see a big gap between the fan and the top plate that the controller card mounts to which makes a bunch of air run over the top of the controller card instead of where its needed which is the asics itself. Some might worry that makes the controller vulnerable to overheatting but after flipping the fan theres so much more preasure in the miner that air hits all over the damn place which cools everything a hell of alot better. I was gonna turn my fans up to help cool the chips better but the flip made such a huge diff i dont need to raise them above 40 not at my current voltages. Hope this helps.

Which ipad mini is it?? Mini 2 3 or the first gen mini?? Cause the first gen minis specs r horrible lol its like running an ipad 2 even though they came out with the ipad 4 so they didnt add the ram needed to run apps smoothly. If its a 2 and above we can work somethin out.
