121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 20, 2017, 07:03:22 PM
Don't worry, be happy!

Im confident Bitmain will ship my may order on time! 😄

lol u keep being positive. what i can tell you for sure is my order was supposed to be shipped on the 15th of april and i have 0 to show for my $7300 plus shipping. that and my miners are being used against the network and no official announcement has been sent to me telling me of any delays caused by firmware. i shouldnt have to ask them for an update....its their responsibility to tell me what is going on and they havent. i hope your miners come on time i really do but just remember the april 15th orders will go out before yours because they were made before yours so your probably going to see delays with your order as well.

either way bitmain got back to me and we r sorting through a resolution now. i finally got a real response not a cut and paste response so thats a step in the right direction.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 20, 2017, 02:03:47 PM
So based off the current situation of this . . and the already large LTC diff increase. Would you still recommend ordering L3+ for the July ship date? I would like to order one however I'm worried it will not be very effective by the time I receive it (or maybe receive it at the april ship rates!)

dont order anything until this pissing contest ends. we are posting telling you our miners are being stolen from us and used without our permission to do something we didnt want them to do to begin with....so ya...dont buy anything unless your willing to lose it immediately after paying.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 20, 2017, 12:52:48 PM
Support replied to my tickets. The first reply was sayin they were checking stock thats why nothing was shipped the second reply gave me the bs firmware issue lie. I told them i paid $450 extra to have my stuff shipped on the 15th and since they failed to do that i want my $450 x 4 miners refunded back to me. They told me they cant refund me more than what i paid for the miners....the only problem is i paid $7300 not $1800. I also asked them if i have free power why would i pay them electricity for them mining for me when i should be mining with them myself using my own FREE power. Lets see what they say.

Oh and bitmainwarranty decided to login to their account now too lol.

I have 4 L3+'s outstanding with them as well, but the May 5th batch. I assume the same song and dance will come my way, in what you are going through.

So let me get this straight.

DO (or did) you have the option of a refund on the firmware lie or did they just offer to mine and you pay electric?

Nice to know the 4 L3+'s I was gonna get to vote FOR seg witness are now merrilly mining along to block seg witness. (Perhaps more if they just took my $$$
and got a couple more at their cost with my free loan...so lets see...maybe 6 mining on my dime to block seg witness with this scam) Sad

Needless to say. NO one would have ordered anything under these guys knowing the stunt they pulled.

Frigging amazing!

I suppose you will come back saying NO refund was offered. Likely, they will simply ship miner late with no compensation on the May 5th batch. I suspect more lies in that is a much bigger
batch then the april batch....thus they probably have no need of the hash...thus the deal you have ...won't exist....now I know where all the former BFL and KNC executives went!

I mean really, if I'm gonna get screwed...at least send flowers/candy..take me out for a little dancing and dinner first. Sheesh.

"Dear Customer

Sorry about that but currently we don't have the miners available to ship out now due to the firmware issues after double check with our engineer all these days.
We may only refund to you if you can't accept the compensation .
We'll update to your the exact compensation method after we confirm it today .
And the payment we received is 6.133btc for your order *******BLOCKED BECAUSE ITS NONE OF ANYONES BUSINESS******,we can request to refund it if you want can't accept the compensation with PPS payout after 1.5% commission fee and the electricity fees.

We can't refund you more than the order amount you have paid .
Sorry for the trouble and thanks for your understanding .

Best Regards
Sherry"

here is one of the replies i received. i didnt ask for more than i paid lol. im not that damn greedy. i asked for 10% originally so $730 and change but then i thought....wait they are mining with my machines and the delivery date is probably going to be after the date of the second batch so why the hell did i pay $450 more for the april 15th ship date batch? and thats when my request changed from 10% to i want my $1800 ($450 x 4) refunded and im not paying for power costs to run my miners. i mean i have FREE POWER! i dont get how they think offering .05 per kwh prices to someone that pays 0 for power is legit. if that wasnt bad enough....coinotrons PPLNS fees are 1% ant bitmain wants to charge me 1.5% for PPS....but what if i use PPLNS....so im being forced to pay extra fees and power costs to run miners to block the activation of a feature i want activated and i paid more money to not get my miners on time and im supposed to be alright with this?? over the years i have supported bitmain and promoted them and bashed people that had unrealistic expectations about bitmain and they turn around and hold my shit hostage while their boss goes on a twitter bender calling people morons and telling them to go "fuck your mom if you want to fuck". It seems every ltc miner this company produced had some drama with it. the l1 got refunded yes with a slight bonus but nothing near what would have been mined with them then they come out with the l3+ making me think the l1 wasnt scraped like they claimed it was and they just wanted a loan with little interest attached to it and now this drama bomb! we need new competition to step up to the plate. if this BS keeps going bitmain will be run into the ground and will implode. usually we see this from failing bitcoin startups not from seasoned companies/asic producers. You dont have a child the keys to your 200mph sports car....and this is why you shouldnt hand a multi million dollar company to someone as young at this guy....he clearly has poor self control and feels like his asian baby cock is huge from all the power he thinks he has lol.

Bump it up!

So no one needs an xbox one controller repaired??

It is possible scenario,
Unfortunately we cant do nothing, just speculate.
Everything was suspicious from beginning, why should Chinese monopolist afford us 1370 usd price per unit, if he could sell same units for 3000 easy? They desperately needed lot of BTC for manipulation, so they announced batch1 and batch2, batch 1 was sold 8 min after release,we all know what is going on whith those devices. "Firmware problem" is easiest way to hold our devices as much as their making good profit.

Thats not true...i like many paid for an april 15th shipping date so we did pay $1370 for the miner...we paid $450 more than the may 5th ones. So paying me just the amount they earn during this time is a rippoff because we should get the $450 back right away and my electricity is free so they want me to pay them for power usage during the mining time which if they had been shipped on time i wouldnt have to pay any money for power. They r pissin alot of people off...this will come back to bite them in the ass later on.

Has ne one else noticed bitmains customer support has stopped responding completely?? Whats even more weird is the user bitmainwarranty on bitcoin talk last logged in on april 15th and bitmains email ticketing system stopped replying to me at around the same time. That is sketchy as hell. Maybe im lookin too much into it but 2 separate groups have stopped showing any activity at the same time about and all while this huge clusterfuck that the bitmain owner dropped on customers happens.

Also idk about u guys but i have yet to receive the notice that was posted on reddit. I couldnt even find the original post that the panda guy quoted and screen shotted.

Jihan is using your $$ to destroy the one you gona mine!

Please see the real face of Jihan Wu!

and support stopped replying days ago its seems. how strange is that lol.

Xbox can be redone?

Are you asking if i can repair the xbox itself??
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 18, 2017, 10:52:26 AM
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/661ycw/more_jihan_games_litecoin_miners_which_were_due/

Just Jihan casually using the miners for his own gain. Probably to stop SW on Litecoin. This guy gets more interesting every single day, wonder how far he'll go if it doesn't work.

Wait so he posted a notice saying everyone that ordered for an april 15th shipping date wont get their miners shipped and this was posted on reddit instead of contacting the buyers directly??? So the huge amounts of hashin power being added to the network is power from miners with faulty firmware?? That sounds like bullshit to me. I cant read chinese so idk what the info posted says but i do know i want the $100 a day im losing because of the delays and i wanna know why i havent been informed of any delays what so ever...i had to find out because you were good enough to post it for us otherwise many wouldnt have even seen this notice!

Edit....

Im seeing on twitter that whatever was posted on reddit wasnt translated properly. Here is what they r sayin the proper translation is:

"1) Refund of full amount
2) Pay whatever amount they would have made mining"

I would obviously take the later but i would like the earning sent via ltc not btc. I still think if this is true the miners should have been sent to customers and an email be sent out once the firmware is done. If these are unusable the huge amounts of power wouldnt be added to the network like we are seeing which leads me and others to think this firmware issue is a lie Sad. Things went downhill fast it seems.
131  Economy / Services / Xbox One Elite/Non elite controller repair on: April 18, 2017, 10:31:07 AM
Hey everyone

So i have been posting on the xbox uservoice site for going on a year offering xbox one elite and non elite controller repair and have received literally hundreds of customers from there so i figured i would post here as well. Things i repair are:

Drifting analog stick - $25
Back rubber grips coming off - $20/$30 depending on what part of the 4 piece grip is coming off
Back paddle button replacement (elite) - $20
Trigger replacement (elite) -20
Hard to press button/membrane replacement - $20
Stick tightening (elite only defect...doesnt happen on non elites) - $10

My gamertag is d2b2009. I use oem microsoft replacement parts not cheap knockoffs like fake analog sticks from china. For example i contacted the company that produces the analog sticks for microsoft and got the part number for the same analog sticks. Places online show legit sticks and what they send you is a knockoff that is tighter and less responsive than the original stick and often times has a slight drift to it. Since i only use oem sticks and parts this isnt an issue.

Buyer pays shipping both ways which depends on where you live in the us. I live in maryland so you can use usps to calculate the cost using the zip code 20886 to get a generalized idea of the cost.

If interested post here or shoot me a pm and we can go from there. Escrow is fine but you will be covering ognastys fees not me. I accept both paypal and bitcoin but dont offer escrow on paypal since paypal itself is the escrow service.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 18, 2017, 10:04:13 AM
Don't worry they will be shipped soon, after diff jump 30-40% for few days Cheesy.
I ordered for 5th Maj, diff will explode 2x or 3x until then....

yep same boat ..same May 5th timeline..this could get "interesting' in the way of an experiment on if getting 4 L3+'s May 5th..
in the same way the Titanic was an interesting experiment to test the stopping power of Icebergs on large ass ships!

crypto always drama

If the april 15th orders arent being shipped on time you guys should be worried that the may 5th orders wont ship on time either. At $100 a day lost the total cost of the delay is $300 and the fact that we paid $450 more per miner its really adding up.

Well I (we) took the risk...will just have to 'suck it up now' ...not my first crypto crisis...but I should know better....it seems always in crypto (btc or ltc) when the COMMUNITY seems to
be getting its act together on some endeavor ...some group of whale as*h**l*s .... jump into the mix..muck it up and then profit and move on .....

I should be watching my back the 3rd or 4th time I cut through that alley ..with my profits...whistling a merry little toon....and ignoring the 'ominous music' background movie ...that
tells me I'm about to be 'mugged' again

oh well......(i prefer you hit me on the head during your 'current mugging'  either here, here,or here.....this last spot is still tender from the last time, don't ya know)

Nahh i think thats way too dramatic buddy lol. Im in no way calling bitmain a scammer or anything even close to it but to be fair it looks like they handled local buyers before handling us even though we had a set delivery date that has now gone out the window. I have free power so my earnings wont be hit as hard as some but just because i have a special setup doesnt mean im willing to take more losses...thats not how business works. If i promise customers something i follow through with it unless i for whatever reason cannot and if i cant i inform customers of delays that were out of my control. Im not a big business like bitmain but i do alright and customers always appreciate 100% honesty ahead of time instead of having to email the business asking what the status is or to argue for compensation for an order that has clearly been delayed. U gotta remember they set the date...not me. The responsibility is 100% on them the moment i pay for an item with the description shown. Proactive support is always much more attractive than reactive support.

U can tell when u ask something their support cant answer because they go from a few hour delays to a few days worth of delays. Whenever i email support or a rep directly using their internal contact info they reply within hours usually. After asking what is going on with my order and the delays and how compensation for the delays in shipping will work they have gone silent for over a day. Granted they can be busy with alot of people asking the same question i m but this isnt the first time i have seen this pattern...im not a one and done kinda customer. But when the same pattern pops up 2, 3, or even 5 times its hard to ignore that.

Either way i have faith in bitmain and wouldnt consider them shady at all. All my s9's and previous miners arrived on time or were shipped early. This is literally the very first delay i have ever seen with shipping and i believe it is because they had "walk ins" so to speak from local (china) mines and since they already had our money they thought a few more days of delays is fine since we cant request a refund so they basically double sold our miners even if it was only for a few days. I handle every one of my customers in a first come first server manner...no one gets to cut the line and absolutely no customer gets bumped further back. I wosh every company followed this mindset though
Sad.

hi all,

I planing on invest on 1 L3+ for mining.

Any advise ??

My electricity cost is about 0.15 USD/kW. And could I put one in the house ?? (60 db is bearable Huh)

Its doable. My power costs are the same as yours (maryland) in my house but i run miners at home only when its cold since imma run space heaters anyway so this way i make money from staying warm. I cant say how loud they are because the batch we finally got access to is late on shipping which is annoying. In the summer i would say run this miner in the basement away from moisture only! Dont run it in a garage or shed out back...the heat will kill your miners. These say they only use 800w of power and i have my s7's underclocked to about 775w of power and i run 1 of them in my bedroom with a much lower fan speed and its about as loud as a space heater would be so i figure 800w should be just as loud about but again its getting warmer so i wont be running these at home soon. Once the windows r closed and the ac is turned on they will be moved to my server rooms.

So did ne one get shipping emails for april 15th orders?? I got the email saying it will be updated with tracking info soon (idk y bitmain started sending that pointless email out to buyers) but have yet to receive the email saying my order has shipped. This will literally be the first time in all of my orders over the years that my order wasnt shipped on or before the expected shipping date. I believe they r ahead of us by 12 hours sosunday night should be monday morning for them which means orders should have gone out that day first thing but...nothin. I dont have my psu's so its not like i can do ne thing with these miners yet but i rather have them sitting on my shelf than floating around  in transit or in one of their factories.

Hello guys,

Yesterday I sent payment (BTC) to Bitmain for 2 x Antminer L3+ devices, in meantime transactions stuck. Now I see that status of my devices are: Paid/Unshipped/Expired. If order expired does Bitmain cancel such orders? It is not fair if they doing such things, because I pay on time, and we all know how BTC transactions can be slow. Anyone has similar problem, what is solution?

Hey guys, my payment is stuck also as i didn't realise the payment fee was low when i sent it to bitmain Sad  any suggestions on speeding up my transaction?

Much appreciated

all you can do is wait. when my payment gets stuck i notice it goes through the the wee hours of the morning and im eastern time. i have seen my payment gets stuck for an upwards of a day so its not uncommon im sure. mine got stuck when i stopped filling out the info for the transaction to re read the listing on bitmains site and in a matter of a few mins the minimum tx recomended went up but it didnt change on my wallet so i ended up underpaying when sending my payment which caused it to take forever to process lol. in any case even if it expires on bitmains website you can email their support with the order info anf tx details and they will manually approve the payment for you if their system doesnt pick up on it already.

I have a hard time thinking they can manufacture anything less than a 100K units cost effectively.
Most FAB runs are in the millions of units.

idk....we are talking chinese manufacturing and assembly work prices and they are selling them at premiums and markups so im pretty sure lower numbers on miner productions are more than withing their margins. as for chips....of course they are having tons of them produced at once to get lower numbers but 100k+ fully assembled miners isnt something they are knocking out in a few minths. I feel like the heatsink placement on the front and back on each chip is one of the largest delays when producting assembled miners for them. they cant flip the boards over until the adhesive cures and they have to place one on every cip on both sides. either way i think a couple k miners in a single batch is more realistic.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 13, 2017, 03:47:13 PM
I hate to be the bearer of good or bad news, but Bitmain just relisted the L3+ on the site with ship dates now out in July!
What, I thought it was May 5th? Im still trying to put BTC together, and now it's July? What kind of garbage is that, especially since they still want the same price.
Forget that crap.
All the people who ordered when it was May 5th should be screaming for a refund... I would not accept a 2 month delay.

Well I think they sold out of the first 2 batches and that was where the April and the May dates came from.  If you ordered and have been confirmed paid you will get your miner shipped on the dates they posted.  However it appears they are "pre-sale" on the next batch which is July now.  So it looks like if you don't jump in and buy it now then you may not get a shot at buying them.  At least that is my read on the situation.    This is absolute BS, but it is what it is...
Im pissed, because I was 0.1 BTC away from having enough money, now I have to wait another 2 months...
My A4's would have generated the 0.1 BTC in 24 hours, that 24-hour delay cost me 2 months. How can I not be upset.
I think they should just continue shipping miners between May 5th and July and not hold onto them. If they simply shipped them in the order they were bought then there would be no issue, but a 2 month delay and no break in price?
Glad for everyone who get's there miners shipped on the 5th, but for the rest of us, it really sucks. I still don't see why they can't ship any between May 5th and July, just really sucks.
Personaly, I think I will forget this miner and go to Baikal instead...

to be fair its not their fault that people didnt have the coins to buy the miners before they sold out. the reason for the 2 month delay might not be related to wanting to hold onto them....they may have sold out and maybe had a large private order that has them backed up until the date they posted. or they may need to have miners produced and dont expect the components to be ready for assembly until around that date. either way im sorry you couldnt get one but third party sellers will have them im sure if your willing to spend a few more bucks....otherwise you will have to wait for the next batch.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 12, 2017, 12:25:15 PM
Miracles will never cease... Bitmain FINALLY received my bad hash board at their facility.  Now to see how long before they can turn it back around and it finally gets back to me.

Right now I am still wagering we will be at a month of down time before the board is back.  Now that doesn't help me too much because the controller/io board also went back to Bitmain through Eastshore and I am still waiting on that to be received, processed and returned by Bitmain.  So even if they get the hash board back to me I will still be down until they get the other board also repaired and returned.

At least there is some progress to finally report.  Wink
Guess you have to buy 2 rigs to have some spare parts laying around...
Anyone tried to "Frankenrig" any of these yet, for example, pulling middle board and using separate fan, adding a fan like the L3+, or running hooking up more than 4 boards to a controller, etc...
Would be interested in any experiences with Frankenrig tests.

im not sure the newer controllers have the connections needed to run more than 4 boards. i remember on the s5+ they had all of the ribon cable connections soldered to the controller even though not every one was used but with newer controllers they decided to save a few pennies and didnt add those ribon connectors so you would first have to make sure your controller has the slot for a ribon connector to be soldered in and then you have to actually get one of those connectors then you can try combining multiple miners onto 1 controller. i will say running 2 miners on a single controller will save some power especially now that there are 2 delta style fans on each miner that use almost 3a at 12v each.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 12, 2017, 11:42:34 AM
Also ne one worried anout noise can use legs to stand all bitmain miners using the current design and above to hole the miner vertically. I do this with every s9 i run and in one location it really helps because i can attach ducts to the one end and vent the hot air into the drop ceiling through the tile that i cut 2 duct holes into to mount the ducts with a collar on the other end so it doesnt fall through. I have lowered my temps by 10 degrees per miner and the ac unit handles keeping that room nice and cool. Just an idea...and it lowers the temps or in many cases with the autotune fw it lowers the fan speed not the temps since the lower the temps get the slower the fan speed gets but on pre autotuned miners the temps go down lol. The same should apple to these l3+'s and when mine come in i will add the legs to them and go to town. I print the legs myself so if anyone needs a leg and screw kit u can pm me if you wanna work something out.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 11, 2017, 06:19:20 PM
This seems like a very reasonable deal? Is there some hidden catch? Also, can anyone explain to me the $500 difference between buying first batch and second? It it simply because they think the difficulty will rise substantially following second batch? Just wondering. Thanks. Anyone have suggestions on hosting options? Cheesy

Yes of course there is a hidden catch...I was caught of guard as well by the price (lower than the original L3 at twice the hash power?). Its obvious bitmain is prepping to dump these on the market. Scrypt hash power will tripple in the next 2-3 months.

Don't forget that they are also taking advantage of the recent price hikes to make it look like this is a super deal. Dont think that this LTC price will last forever (though I hope I'm wrong).

The shipping date for April has already been sold out! don't understand why they cant just ship all of them out at the same time  Cry does anyone know what any other PSU I can use on the ant miner L3+ besides the APW3+-12-1600W?  ..

if the entire unit can run at 800w that means u can use 1 dps-1200 server psu and 1 breakout board to run the entire miner. there are 4 hashing boards so if the total power draw is 800 that means each pci cable will handle less than 200w if you consider that the controller is using some of that 800w to power itself and the 2 fans. If those numbers are correct you can run the entire miner with only 5 pci-e cables but only if they are 16awg cables. most pc power supplies use 18awg which in that case you would need a total of 9 to power this miner. all of my psu's u are server psu's or have cabled that i swapped with the stock psu cables so i dont run anything less than 16awg cables. if you want to be careful (probably the best thing to do) you can use 2 16awg cables per hashing board and 1 for the controller. either way at 800w the entire miner can run from one server psu based on the model i listed above. you dont need to use bitmains psu which is more expensive and is less reliable. that and it requires 220v to run their current miners at full speed.

i got 4 of the l3+'s. i cant believe that ebay listing wanted $4800 for one of these miners...more than double the cost from the manufacturer directly. for once bitmain didnt screw us on price. they were completely reasonable and im thankful for that. the $450 difference is based on them being shipped by the 15th of april vs them being shipped by may 5th. i went with the april batch because i dont like my money sitting in limbo any longer than it has to.

to the guy asking about temps and noise...im feeling like that isnt the case honestly. it has the same design as the s9 and has 2 fans just like the s9 but u have to remember the s9 uses the better part of double the power the l3+ uses anddddd the l3+ has 4 boards instead of just 3 like the s9 so less power goes through the boards....less heat....more surface area for the heat to spread out to which in turn means more surface area for the air to come in contact with....all that seems to equal less air is needed which in turn means a quieter miner. this is just me guessing though and i dont have my order yet but based on the info im seeing it seems like that is the case. if not thats fine too since these wont be runnig in my house anyway.
