41  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 13, 2018, 08:04:31 PM
I think you are misunderstanding how this asicboost thing works. It increases efficiency and lower power draw, it does not increase the hashing speed. 16th is still 16th, except the miners are all way out of spec. The only person i have seen post something saying its close to spec is dimaze, and he has shilled so hard and been so defensive about Halong he most likely has some kind of back channel connection that hasnt been made public. There is no other reason to argue with logic and facts.

Either way Halong has acted with bad intentions from the beginning. The fact that you cant even mine say BCH, or some other sha256 coin makes these miners even bigger piles of crap than first thought. This was never disclosed to anyone who purchased the machine either. All this was done while they shouted from the rooftops about how they were all about giving people choices and helping the bitcoin networks decentralization. The Halong guy can come in here and make claims about why they did what they did but it just doesnt add up.

Halong will not prove they can legally do business the way they are currently doing it.
Halong lied about the machines capabilities from day one.
Halong shipped miners that cannot meet advertised specs.

The fact that anyone is supporting them seems utterly ridiculous to me. A bad actor is a bad actor, despite them saying all the proper buzzwords to get the parrots in this community squawking along with them.

hmmm i thought ur hashrate at the pool was determined by how many shares u submitted to the pool in a set amount of time. that means if u use asic boost u get to cheat around and send some extra shares bumpin the hashrate the pool sees by up to 20% right?? i thought it was the same as regular s9 mining in the sense that sometimes shares take a little longer to send sometimes makin ur pool side hashrate drop and sometimes shares get sent faster by pure luck and it makes ur hashrate go up slightly higher then spec. Since asicboost is turned on that must mean its submitting up to 120% more shares than it would in the same amount of time 100% would be sent that was how i interpreted that workin out. If you set the diff really high on a pool it takes longer to submit as well which also makes the hashrate shown go down. this would imply that the t1 miners hashrate isnt 16th/s like they said (excluding the facts that they dont mine to spec even with asicboost active) its really 12.8 about if the hashrate was at a perfect 16th/s. the power draw should remain the same with and without asicboost because the boost would just mean more shares r submitted in the same time frame but the power will remain the same constant rate aside from fan speed changes and stuff like that. activating asicboost doesnt reduce the power by 20% per miner.

i agree they lied and customers got less than they were promised. its a shame they had to ruin their rep like this. i hope they provide a resolution sooner rather than later. its already been too long to provide one but better late than never right?? otherwise who will trust what they say if they do this again??

now i do have 1 question for all of u t1 buyers....y did u decide to buy these when they only work for 2 pools?? doesnt that limit your choices pool wise??

I didn't buy one of these... but wanted to chime in. The early buyers did not KNOW about the AsicBoost issue, so they bought not even knowing there would be use limitations going forward.

ooo ok if thats the case why arent folks more upset about this situation i wonder?? im not experienced with the ins and outs of this whole dragonmint story so i prob shoulda known this before.

it feels like they shouldnt claim 16th/s (even if it mines at that speed) because it technically isnt 16th/s because of asicboost. from what i have seen folks paid a pretty steep premium for these machines and got not only underperforming hardware but also less software compat than originally stated. thats seems wrong to me and i feel kinda bad for the folks that got duped by this. even with the known info that preorders from unknown companies arent smart it doesnt change the fact that the company lied about what they were selling and even after that havent done ne thing publicly to give back to the customers that they duped...

i dont think ck or slush r bad pools but i also dont think users should be forced to mine only at those 2 pools. even if they add more pools the fact that u cant mine other coins except btc is a kick in the nutz. im shocked others arent mentioning that 16th/s and 16th/s with asic boost arent the same at all. if they do figure out how to allow u to mine ppc with these machines u will only get 12.8th/s and thats ONLY IF the machine truely mines at 16th/s with asicboost which based on the info trusted folks have posted so far isnt the case. to be fair bitmains s9 is 13+ th/s without any sketchy hidden asicboost or ne of that mess. i feel halong shoulda posted the actual hashrate of the machine not the 20% bloated number they did post.

without asic boost the miner would do 12.8th/s if it did 16th/s with asic boost....does that also mean the power will be the same 1600w that people r seein or will that go down by 20% like the hashrate would go down?? if it stays the same that makes them way less efficient  than they promised. also if the s9 used asic boost and gained 20% speed wouldnt that make them even more efficient than they r now proving halongs claim to the fastest most efficient miner available wrong as well?

either way they seem to lose and lost trust but in the end i think folks r just happy that they got something even if it doesnt work properly and isnt what was promised. i hope they get refunds or somethin to make things right.
43  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 13, 2018, 04:20:32 PM
Until the firmware is improved,
I feel that it is kind of false advertising to say that the T1 is the most power efficient machine available.

At the moment there are three different machines that can achieve about the same power efficiency level (~0.10 J per GH/s)
--> Antminer S9, AvalonMiner 841 and DragonMint T1.

If you had 3 production cars from 3 manufactures that could do 0-100 kmh in 1.2 seconds aren't they all the fastest production car available?

"Slimey" word fuckery is marketing.  Look at the manufactures that claim there car is "the most fuel efficient" and then have a long list after the *

BTW Bitmain also makes the same claim on their site.

they did and it was proven to be true as well. the s9 is over a year old and others are just now touching the same sort of power consumption they hit goin on 2 years ago. I think that is somethin worth braggin about. this only covers miners that we know of and not ones running in private mines like bitfury...only ones released to the public.

now i do have 1 question for all of u t1 buyers....y did u decide to buy these when they only work for 2 pools?? doesnt that limit your choices pool wise?? also what if u want to mine ppc or something?? u guys paid more money for under performing specs that use more power and have less options mining wise all to tell bitmain "fuck u"?? im all for other options to keep prices of machines down. I totally get that and im 100% for that but in the end no one buys these with the expectation to not break even. no one gives money away (if ne of u do lmk and i will help free u from that burden) so im genuinely askin y do people want these machines and why are they happy with getting less than promised??

also doesnt asicboost provide 20% increases in earnings give or take?? does that mean the actual speed of the machine is 12th/s and not the advertised 16th/s (seems about 15.5th/s is a safe estimate)?? I guess it doesnt matter since they can only be used with bitcoin and on the 2 pools that allow asicboost. I personally would like to have the option of mining ppc bch or btc even if im going to mine just 1...having choices is nice.

lastly no having 3 cars hit 100 in 1.2 secs doesnt allow either of them to make that claim. using the word "fastest" doesnt imply its the same as others or leave it up to the reader to decide. the term "fastest" by itself is a direct statement saying it beats every other car out there no ifs ands or buts. now if they used "one of the fastest" that is acceptable since they arent misleading consumers but "fastest by itself would be a lie and leaves them open to hate from the car community and also legal issues in some areas.
44  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 12, 2018, 03:51:37 PM
They've been massively rewriting chunks of code for the driver meaning a lot of my work hasn't yet hit the firmware. I've just finished refactoring the first solid working version of the autotune for these which is working pretty well now so hopefully you'll get to use it in a new firmware soon. It takes about half hour to tune and will be running by default in future versions; it tunes every startup. If you're looking for more efficiency, this should help provide it Smiley  I haven't realised any dramatic hashrate improvements yet though.
-ck, I have to ask you: why don't you do the autotune correctly?

It is well known that autotuning at reboot is patently wrong: the device is probably cold and seriously out of the thermal equilibrium. It is well known that that type of tunning needs to be done repeatedly as the system reaches equilibrium. I don't have practical numbers for mining farms, but I presume most of them aren't working exactly in temperature-stabilized conditions, so thermal equilibrium will probably change at least twice per day. I doubt that 30 minutes is enough to reach the normal operating temperature from the cold start.

Is this a problem with storing the calibration coefficients in the flash memory that will wear out? Then why not store them in a circular log file with fixed-size records that are as long as the write-blocks of the underlying storage medium?  Those are fairly big 64kB or 256kB or some such, there's plenty of room to write some calibration results. And if writing at every calibration is too often then write the summary (average, minimum, maximum) once per day.

Or was the "autotune" simply a marketing requirement or a contractual agreement? I kinda don't want to see the repeat of what had happened to Spondoolies and their ill conceived POST (Power-On Self Test) and how people had to resort to preheating their miners with hair dryers.

im not sure how this isnt "correct". if its anything like the s9 autotune firmware 30 mins of ramping up the freq of each board was more than enough to generate normal opp temps. Anyone that had an s9 when auto tune first came out knows they ran hot during the tuning process which happened everytime the machine rebooted. That was the case with all of mine unless someone can explain how i ended up with the only miners that ran this way i can only assume everyone elses did as well.

also keep in mind that the autotune s9 firmware was changed soon after it was released to lower the tuning because people didnt like waiting an hour for the machine to finally start hashing. I remember hooking everything up and configuring them and swearing i did something wrong (even though its a super basic setup) because no one at bitmain bothered to tell us why the miner was saying "socket connection refused" for almost an hour or why the miner was heating up while it wasnt mining. so me and many others turned them off thinking something was wrong until bitmain told us we had to wait longer before it finally kicks in.

maybe im reading it wrong but ur reply seems pretty hostile...just because u dont agree with the way its done doesnt mean it isnt being done correctly. Or maybe u can test this feature on ur own miner and see if they do in fact heat up while tuning before throwin out ideas of it not being done right?? idk the dude but someone is makin software to better the miners these folks decided to pay....idk if u or ne one else has the right to get that sorta tone ya know??

as for twice a day isnt it fair to say the folks that have these special situations can go to each of the miners and reboot them twice a day so it can retune the miner for the change in weather?? either way do u think folks will be happy with losing hours to let the firmware tune every x hours?? not to mention the wasted power from doing it. im sure that all adds up and eats into ne profits the tuning would provide i would think.
45  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 03, 2018, 12:13:43 PM
in ne case i think u guys should question halong more. i know there will always be fanboys out there that will be diehard company supports and that applies to everything in life but in the end it comes down to phil being told he was going to get a miner to review and post about. he has yet to receive said miner. idk if theres ne one here that can argue how trusted phil is even i have seen him in various threads postin so if a very trusted member posts about his unsettling feeling about a company who is anyone else to dispute his claims at this point? its more than just getting a test miner for free....the company offered it and hasnt followed through with their promise. no one else except for a select few of non verifiable people have received their machines as far as i can tell. also a test machine is supposed to be sent before everyone elses.....thats the whole point of them. Theres 0 point to sending them AFTER everyone receives their miners. Look at all the other reviews posted...most if not all were sent before they started mass shipping because its supposed to build hype and promote the companies hardware as well as prove that it is real and does work. it doesnt prove that it will arrive to customers doors but it proves that enough effort was invested to produce a product. No company in the world (not just bitcoin) can survive without the word of mouth promo and reviews of customers/3rd parties. how do u think companies like bmw mercedes and so on get people to spend ass loads of money on cars and even more to service them?? fanboys swear by them giving them legitimacy....no one would spend $300 for a simple oil and filter change without that kinda promotion....EVER.

46  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Ebang Announces E9++, E10, and E10.1 on: March 31, 2018, 09:59:19 PM
what do you need to hear guys as feedback?
about e10.1
1. the software is as crappy as previous e9+. still no root from manufacturer (but it can be hacked)
2. hashrate is as described, power cunsumption is like 2.2-2.4kWt
3. psu is integrated, it works
4. main board is connected directly in the blades - so no more wires except fan wires

but overall - it works

So they lied about the power specs?? Are they refunding for the difference vs what was promised?? What makes these worth $5500 for 18th/s vs antminer s9 that is 14th/s at $1400 (less with coupons)?? Idk how they managed to make a 10nm miner (i think thats what i read if not sorry) but uses A LOT more power than a miner that is over a year old and counting. Not only that they set the price super high for some odd reason...seems like they got too greedy.
47  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking Bitmain Antminers (S7 & S9) because man a lot of these break...... on: February 12, 2018, 08:56:51 PM
Bitmain was requiring me to send the whole miner to China and other people claim it takes at least 8 weeks to get it back,  plus the chip is bad because of my own fault and really shouldn't be under warranty.
Like I said before, I would be more than happy to pay you $100 for a working chip if you want to scrap your board so I don't have to. Its not gouging when people are willing to pay it happily.

bitmain has an option to send the board to a repair place in ca for in warranty repairs. even if you have to send ur whole miner in its far less than $100 if ur inside the us. as for people being happily willing to pay it...im not so sure about that one lol. bitmain warranty will repair a board for $200 or so shipped. they will charge $200 even if the chip is provided. i can remove chips from the boards if needed but i rather not price gouge the hell outta people for $100 per chip. its not right and the markup is insane especially since theres no way to guarantee that the chips removed will function properly.
48  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking Bitmain Antminers (S7 & S9) because man a lot of these break...... on: February 12, 2018, 03:38:58 PM
I have a 2 month old S9 that lost a chip, lightfoot has it and posted a pic of it above, since I cannot get a replacement chip, I am considering paying him to remove the 62 working chips so I can sell them for $100ea. Would there be any interest in this? I know if someone was offering to sell me a working chip for $100, I would jump on it.

lol u think a working board broken down is worth $6200?? i guess technically $6100 since one chip is bad but either way have u lost ur damn mind man??

1 the miner is only 2 months old so repairs are covered under warranty

2 ur hopin to price gouge worse than bitmain does and u somehow think thats ok to do lol. r u payin the nice guy that did all the work $5k of that $6100?? i highly doubt it.

ne one that thinks 1 miner with 3 boards is worth $18k+ is long past the point of return. jesus!
49  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer V9 4TH on: February 07, 2018, 10:49:10 AM
I got the emails this morning and saw the specs page (which doesnt list algo ANYWHERE!!) and thought this cant be a bitcoin miner...it must be for another algo. Well that was until they posted on twitter sayin it was a btc and bch miner. It would be one thing to sell miners that r dated to clear a warehouse out...im perfectly fine with that idea and support it. Its a completely different thing to tell customers that it has a new model chip in it when in reality its an old outdated model chip. Thats just plain lyin.

Yes other companies rebrand the old hardware to sell them on but other companies actually improve the design or boost the specs a bit (in the case of video cards) or they slap 2 chips on 1 board....in other words they make the purchase worth while 9/10. This however is misleading and outright fraud in my opinion and im shocked that anyone would think this was a good business model to follow. I have free electronicity and even i wouldnt touch these. Space is a premium...power is not. I try not to hate on bitmain TOO much but this is terrible. I feel bad for the guys that r gonna get punched in the dick by this company.
50  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling parts, ANTMINERS LIMITED on: December 27, 2017, 07:58:45 AM
Just shut up already. Everybody knows you are here to scam people. No escrow = no deal.

Everybody know you are fagot. So kill yourself Smiley

Lmfao jesus christ this just got real....

So let me get this straight....u have miners that u want to sell and that u say were stolen from a warehouse by people and somehow u ended up with them and want to sell them super cheap. U then dont want to use escrow but claim ur legit even though u mentioned that these r already stolen to begin with. Ur excuse for not usin escrow is so ur identitiy doesnt get revealed but escrow doesnt do ne of those things since the btc goes from the buyer to the trusted escrow holder and once everything arrives as promised the escrow holder then sends the btc to u.

So somehow u think escrow is less legit than u saying these miners r already stolen by “some bad men”?? Can u really be seen as legit if ur tryin to sell products that r stolen from others?? That should shut down ne sales immediately but some people that r new to the interwebz seem to be dumb enough to believe this whole series of excuses just because they believe they r gonna get some awesome product for a dirt cheap price. Please dont kill the joy of other peoples holidays...take these non legal things elsewhere cause they certainly dont belong here thats for sure.

Here i m strugglin to buy 2 s9 boards for my miners while this guy is tryin to hock (if he actually has them) a bunch that were stolen from some poor innocent folks...im a jew and even i have to say way to shit of the christmas season my dude. Terrible!

P.S. nothin u do online is hidden. Just bein here reveals more info than u must think. Scammin the community is never smart. This forum has tracked so called untrackable peeps down in the past. Its quite scarry if u ask me.
51  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] 2x antminer s9 hashboards on: December 27, 2017, 07:44:14 AM
Like the title says im lookin to buy 2x antminer s9 hashboards. I had all 3 die on me but bitmain warranty repaired one so now my s9 is running at 1/3 the hashrate and i obviously dont wanna be wasteful and buy a whole new miner if i can get just the 2 boards elsewhere.

I dont have the miner infront of me (they parts not sent in including the case r in my office where these machines run) but its an auto tuned version not the manual freq version before it or the t9 version that came after if that matters.

Here is a basic list of what im lookin for:

1. The boards work (duh)
2. The boards r clean (i have industrial roof mounted ac units with air filtration for lab use...u dont have to have this lvl of clean since im a germaphobe but nothing close to the dust factor seen in the s9 thread from some s9/s7 owners lol)
3. The price isnt to the moon. Btc dropped 5k each just about the last time i checked so im not payin ebay prices. Im a legit dude that has bought from others on here and they didnt try ass jabbin me so i hope u dont try to either lol.
4. Paypal is prefered simply because i dont really do much with my btc except hold it so i rather pay with paypal. I can pay in btc but escrow will be required for obvious reasons. Paypal will require 0 escrow since paypal itself is the escrow service and escrow fees r covered by u if u dont want to accept paypal. I cover shipping and thw cost of the boards. Idk y im explainin all this since its nothin new to us paypal folks.
5. No overclocked boards please.
6. And finally please be sure to pack them well. That means similar to how they should be packed which is a couple layers of small bubble wrap on each board followed by a couple of larger bubble bubble wrap and no bouncing/movement in the box when its packed and ready to go.

I know it seems like im bein anal but ne one that has shipped these knows how finky they can be with this retarded design of gluein the heatsinks to the chips so they must be protected to prevent damage. I do all of this when i ship boards out so it nothing i dont do myself.

That should cover it...i tend to get distracted easily so shoot me a pm with the info and price and we can go from there. I get emails from pms like everyone does so it lets me know i need to get back on. Thanks in advance!
52  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [150+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: December 15, 2017, 09:52:29 AM
@numnutz2009

https://slushpool.com/news/enjoy-namecoin-merged-mining/

"The top right corner has a slide switch that enables showing rewards for all Namecoin blocks interleaved with Bitcoin blocks. Statistics which we provide for Namecoin blocks is pretty much the same as for Bitcoin except values in the "Block Value” column. Let us explain."

or

https://slushpool.com/stats/blocks/?c=btc&mc=nmc

"40169   2017-12-08 13:43   00:48:55   1269293003686   374190   25.01143391 NMC   Processing…   98"

from just now

They're not worth much, 0.00018300 BTC ATM, which is auto converted and paid in BTC and that one is worth ~0.0045 divided by the pool in the normal way etc.

Slush you get paid the fee's compaired with antpool. That's ~16ish per block not 12.5 and we had a 22+ block a little while back! It's pretty decent from what i've seen so far (~2 months)

Ya ik they arent worth a ton or ne thing like that. I did try finding the slide switch they mention but the only options i see are btc and zec and no nmc. I can view the rewards for nmc but that page doesnt look like its even updating so the reward info for nmc blocks is blank and provides 0 info so im assuming if the system isnt updating the block/reward info it is also not paying out for namecoins mined either.

Namecoins are something that i like holdin on to which is y i mined at antpool. If antpool had a system like slush that sold off the namecoins or gave the value of them at that moment to the miners i would have gotten a handful of pennies per coin. Each namecoin is now worth close to $4 based on the coin ticker app i use so thats a big difference in price. Also since they arent worth a ton its not like holding them cost me tens of thousands of dollars like bitcoin does which is why i held them. Low investment costs (next to nothing since they r dual mined) + multi fold increase in price = enough to make me ask antpool and slush where my namecoins r and why blocks arent being updated on the site. Antpool has given me the run around for months now and owes me some coins still. I have only been on slush for a week or so and dont want to get stuck in the same kinda situation. They dont have a support ticket system as far as i can see which bothers me. Maybe im just missing it?? If there truely isnt one how do people contact him for help with issues?? Hes makin bank im sure but what is somethin goes wrong??

Another thing im confused about is the payout times. I thought bitcoin blocks were confirmed after 6 confirmations. Slush uses 100 confirmations which is quite a bit more. Im not sayin its wrong but im not used to that long of a wait to get my payouts....
53  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [150+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: December 08, 2017, 10:52:15 AM
does slushpool have any support on website?
My payout from 1.12.2017  is still pending. one after that went ok.
transaction id is https://blockchain.info/tx/ddf3d4f14958569215c8e87b675536ac684bedb20aac1f29f73d9af76bfbc6bb
thanks

I would like to know as well. I started mining there yesterday and noticed that namecoin blocks arent being confirmed on the pools reward page all the way back to mid nov almost. I tried going to the help section to open a support ticket or something but im unable to find the option anywhere. I can submit suggestions or dev related stuff but nothin to contact for help. I switched to this pool because antpool died and antpool hasnt paid out namecoins i mined in months now and really dont want to end up with another situation of a pool not paying me for the coins i mined. I mean how do these pools not notice these things?? Or do they notice and think no one will care because they are only worth a couple bucks each?? I personally dont think transactions should be pending for longer than a few days...a week at the very most but we r workin on a month now and they r still pending. I only have 1 day in it so far but still...others should speak up a bit. Unless i missed ur previous posts about them pending.
54  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: December 07, 2017, 04:10:54 PM
I have an S9 being delivered today to US. Never have paid customs since began ordering with S1 from Bitmain in 2014. Always ordered UPS.

customs fees come after u cross $2500 in value. 1 miner wont cross that point. once you hit 2500 you will be charged a minimum of $32. the actual fee is only a couple bucks if i remember correctly but ups and fedex charge crazy minimums and brokerage fees which is why its a flat $32.

nvm slush is loadin again. antpools url is dead my miners say bur on the pools site is shows the hashrate going up at the same time my miners say the pool is dead. weird. they still havent paid my namecoins for the past 2 months about and each reply i get says they will happen tomorrow....but they never do.

They released 2 L3+ batches for sale. Amazing, it ships far out. Early & Late March.

ya that email sent however many days ago had me a bit confused. why would anyone want to order miners 4+ months before they will even arrive. idc how much ltc is worth right now....i cant see myself falling into that trap....ever!

They also havent been payin out namecoins. I have goin on a month and a half worth of payments that have yet to be paid out and 2 emails sent to support including 1 ticket bein opened on bitmains support page and 0 response with help or support. Everyday the amount just keeps growin lol. Im gonna have to switch pools again soon at this rate because im also gettin blasted with emails sayin my hashrate is droppin below 50% and this started 2 days ago. My monitor that tests the speed of my network every 15 mins says everything has been 100% stable and same goes for the web config pages of all of my miners that r currently on this pool. Im on here because theres an app to check the miners on my iphone but even that requires me to login everytime and can be slow. If ne one else knows of another pool that has multi mining and an iphone app yo view the worker status please pm me....

the equipment is worth max 50K Usd.
the price of electricity unknown
total hashrate at the moment of 4000 mhz is around 100GPUs
they promise to hit the market by 1.5x times ico price or more+ how is that even possible? if market cap doesnt increase.
innosilicon is shit

id say not invest

they promise to price them at that price not that they will sell at that price. its just like paycoin and their fake $20 floor that never happened. as for the hardware like i said....idk how they got 300k for it but its way off. it seems like they r betting on price increases on crypto and thats not really a good idea for these types of things. a company poppin up during the rise in prices when they r at all time highs....sure they can go higher but its more likely that the prices will drop but the difficulty will surely spike.

im also not sure how or why they think innosilicon was the best choice for hardware. they use more power and have slower hashrates than all other miners on the market. they also have price tags equaling multiple times what other miners cost. they wanted $10k for a dash coin miner that is months away while bitmain listed them for $1500 and released them before inno did. bitmain also provides a 6 month warranty that has worked perfectly for me so far so this whole concept and plan just confuses me when i look at it as a legit idea. im sure it was created with good intensions but it seems like a bad idea to invest in another mining company. especially is they give u 1.5x the investment if u invest $10k or more. seems sketchy to me.

its weird seeing some of these posts. I looked up this company after watching a youtube video add interupt the video i was watching where the guy claimed that the gpu setup he had was purchased for over $300,000. I will admit that there r alot of video cards in the images and videos but i find it hard to believe the cards cost over $300k including the psus and cheap mobos/proc/ram combos used to run the cards. Thats the first flag for me.

the second red flag is that the company took the name of a well known asic manufacturer that scammed many customers outta alotta money before filing for bankruptcy which no smart business wants to build on a name that 1 isnt theirs to use and 2 is associated with such a terrible string of events like the real terraminer company is. did they not spend the 5 seconds googling the name before ripping it off??

the third is they promise pretty big returns on your investment and that should always be a red flag. even if they say "once we launch the tokens will be worth xxxx dollars". did u guys forget josh garza and his hugeeeeeee paycoin scam where he promised a $20 floor on each and every coin which was never honored?

the 4th is if u had $300k to invest on video cards but need money from people to support ur expansion its safe to assume u didnt make back the full investment yet correct? if u had u would have $300k available right now to buy hardware from hardware makers and 300k in hardware will go a very very long way to fill up a new mining location. even 200k with the other 100k going towards the setup and building rental the machines will go into. this to me sounds like u signed up for big costs and before making it back u want others to pay for ur expansion before making back when u invested which is too much at one time. its a huge gamble at these peoples expense and the numbers r claiming wont happen once the november and oct batches of miners from the multiple manufacturers start shipping.

the final reason is the crazy amount of double trippe octo posting these people are doing. often times posting random questions and answering those questions like they are coming from actual customers every couple of hours. im not sayin these guys r scammers but how can a company sell hashing power on their service forever? no miner lasts forever and the costs of running that miner isnt forever. if u pay $100 for power costs and that covers 1 year of what they pay for power what do you think happens after that 1 year?? that $100 ran out.....someone has to pay the power costs and u paid for "forever" so do you think a company can survive by paying more than it brings in until the end of time??

Maybe im not understanding the concept of this investment or maybe im much more skeptical than others but i feel like the people posting claiming this sounds great are either shills or they are new to crypto and havent taken the time to read the literally hundreds and maybe even thousands of posts about companies offering "too good to be true" returns.

another thing to note is bitmain tends to have these miners available on the cinese version of the site and at 3-$500 more than the us version. when the us site sold out the chinese site had them available still but they only ship to china. i dont know why they wont limit the number per order again. things went south when they allowed as many to be ordered as you wanted to buy. in this case though its looking like me not being able to buy the last 3 times was a good thing. the price per machine went way up but now the price per ltc dropped quite a bit now that chinese exchanges r closing down. im sure there will be a massive sell off when the end of the month comes closer which will drive the price even lower.

Everyone, I mean everyone on the the Bitmain IT staff responsible for the website needs to be fired yesterday.
Completely unacceptable in these times.
A complete crap-fest !

this was my third try. i wasted almost an entire work day so far (7.5 hours) trying to buy their machines. i think another issue comes from not limiting the number per person. if they did that like they used to orders would be easier for folks. once they removed the limits per person things went to shit.
