801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Spreadcoin on MS Azure: Community Free Vote on: March 09, 2016, 11:07:27 AM
Why exactly would MS want SPR?

I don't really understand? What does SPR offer right now? I can understand Eth, but SPR?

Maybe with the implementation of Servicenodes, yes maybe.
But right now? its just a shitcoin  Roll Eyes

Assuming SN's even come out.

So i'm a no.

The Crowncoin idea is a bridge between the best Europe has given to the world with the modern technology of the blockchain - which was called by the smartest cyber engineers in the world as the internetīs next thing. This complex set of ideas and values will additionally be timestamped in the Crowncoin blockchain, in other words - the idea will be  "tattooed" in the ecosystem of users.

Can you elaborate a little?
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CrownCoin (CRW) announcement on: March 09, 2016, 12:50:39 AM

C-CEX is going to delist CRW.  wtf  CRW is 100 times better than most coins listed on c-cex.

It does say that but yesterday we had nearly 0.20 BTC volume today over 0.3 BTC. For CRW to not be delisted we have to average at least 0.2 BTC per day...

We need all the help we can get... buy sell, do something!  Roll Eyes
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CrownCoin (CRW) announcement on: March 09, 2016, 12:47:52 AM
is CRW working some way  like FACTOM?

C-CEX is going to delist CRW.  wtf  CRW is 100 times better than most coins listed on c-cex.

I think factom is a decentralized file storage network that uses its blockchain... pretty useful stuff which is why it's market cap is 20+ mil right now.

The closest thing crowncoin has is a decentralized time stamping tool that allows you to prove you own a document both on the crowncoin and the Bitcoin blockchain.

Hey everyone,

Crowncoin Time Stamping Tutorial

Here is that tutorial you guys wanted me to make.
The next one on Name Registering will probably be coming out on Thursday.

Thanks for this opportunity. I hope you guys like it.
Hi,
Thanks for the cool tutorials man, I really appreaciate this! Please send me your crowncoin address and I will send you some sweet bounty.

Lets discuss what else we can work on together..

Thanks again!
Defunctec already sent me 10k CRW so it's ok. Unless you really want to.
I am not at my computer for another 7 hours so until then.

It's your birthday e1ghtspace  Tongue

Great tutorial e1ghtspace!
Thanks defunctec, I'm glad to be part of the team.
I'm looking forward to making the next video.

How much data do you think you could squeeze into a timestamp? like how big could a .txt file be?
How big? Infinite. A hash just reduces the size of a file to a "signature" of that file. The only way you can reproduce that signature is if you have the original file, so this is how you can prove that your file was created at a specific time. As it is recorded into the blockchain.

Here is a better explanation than what I can give:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7212580/
And here:
http://unixwiz.net/techtips/iguide-crypto-hashes.html

Ok so literally only the 'digest' of the hashed file is stored, not any actual raw text?

Its a way to prove certain information exists, at the same time keeps the information completely anonymous?

808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: March 08, 2016, 11:59:03 AM

So you didn't code the spreadcoin vanity address? Elbandi did that?

Just say you created it, no need to insult.

This is the open source world, it's not about "who created it"... nobody owns this, many people have contributed to make it happen.

Originally I think 100% of all vanity gen implementations out there are atleast partially based on samr7's work:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0

Elbandi forked it and simply adjusted for the usual spreadcoin network bytes.
But that isn't enough, since spreadcoin uses "compact transactions", as described in mr. spread's whitepaper.
(So https://github.com/spreadcoin/vanitygen doesn't work in its current state)

My vanitygen implementation goes a tiny little bit further in that I dissected samr7's code, accounted for "compact transactions" , embedded it in Qt and gave it a GUI.

Hope this makes it clearer.

Crystal, thank you!

Just to bump this, does it mean the standalone vanity gen is useless, or can it be configured to generate compressed addresses?

Yes, it's missing something.
This early standalone vanitygen won't work as it is.

Elbandi's adjustments were too few:

https://github.com/spreadcoin/vanitygen/commit/4a662ea48abef0fb146c945455832333a5d18535

As you see in the adjustments he made, he didn't account for anything compression-wise.

I'll have to look into it at another time.

Very nice looking website coming along this week.
More development by the crowncoin dev team  Cool

Edit:

Who ever is selling, thanks.
These coins will not be seen on the market in a very long time.

We really need some volume at ccex. 24 hour is 0.03 btc lol

Found this from 8 weeks ago, for all you "impatient" "fud trolls"

But for this I need to finish some necessary features first

ETA for first testnet downloads?

I hope end of next week.

Ok, I've done a deal with eightspace...

He can only do time stamping and address name tutorial, until we have a more easier guide to follow for merge mining.

If there's a simple guide to merge mine on p2pool can someone provide it?
816  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: *** GHash.IO mining pool official page *** on: March 06, 2016, 08:52:55 AM
Is there a possibility of adding more merge minable coins ?

CrownCoin now is able to be merged mined, along with other features.

Please consider CRW to be added to your list, thanks a lot!

I like it! Let's go for it. I will try to get the walktrough for ,erged mining from domob.

As per the bounty - 4k per video is ok?

Great - can you pls list which videos you would like to make and how much is the expected bounty? Also does eifhtspace can show us some of his work in terms of videos? Thank you for your help!

Seems like my good old friend eightspace is willing to make video tutorials for crowncoins features!

Could we discuss a handsome bounty for each video?

I say each video because eightspace needs a walkthrough in writing for merge mining and he isn't sure he can make the tutorial on merged mining without it... Could someone point me to where I can find one? I'll look myself and edit this post if I find one.

Here's an example vid.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tfGrQ6vgyq0

He's willing to do all 3, if he can get his hands on a walkthrough for merged mining.

The bounty is up to the dev team, I can add a few coins.
What do you think?

I will add a few coins to that myself.let me speak to him

Crowncoin is set to be delisted from ccex if volume doesn't pick up Sad
