81  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase patents platform to fight illegal bitcoin activity on: November 30, 2019, 09:15:39 AM
I can’t even explain how infuriating it is to read this. Coinbase has be one of the worst thing that has ever happened to bitcoin. More awareness needs to be spread to avoid exchanges like Coinbase which actually track and control your transactions. I think only the traders, noobs and general crowd used coinbase. Sophisticated long time bitcoin holders still believe in P2P and dark web paves the way to avoid the KYC crap.
82  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: November 30, 2019, 09:10:15 AM
So did anyone win that Lamborghini Huracan as advertised in this threads title? I’m not keeping up with the latest news from FreeBit but apparently the free car thing was a scam and no one actually won anything. The thread title will be misleading if that offer is already expired and needs to be changed as it looks like a click bait at this point.
83  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Ecommerce Store, I need A PayPal Account on: November 30, 2019, 08:53:02 AM
Either your site has to be doing something shady or you are scamming customers from your so called e-commerce site. How hard is it to create a PayPal business  account of your own? Why would you need to rent an account?

Careful giving out your verified accounts to the OP.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: November 30, 2019, 08:49:01 AM
Well, Conor McGregor is here again with 21-4-0 records.
Conor McGregor is kinda hot now with different issues especially on his previous lost on boxing against Floyd Mayweather.
But I am still rooting for Conor McGregor a win this now.
Conor has the advantage in reach with 74inches while Donald Cerrone has only 73inches, but that 1 inches advantage is not so big deal for Cerrone for sure.
His previous loss wasn’t Floyd Mayweather but Khabib. I’m not sure what you’re talking about with that 73 inches thing but Conor has clearly knocked out boxers way taller than him very easily. Take Nate Diaz for instance. Most of the replies in the thread favour Conner anyway.
85  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Campaign Management Website for Bitcointalk Signature Campaigns (idea) on: November 30, 2019, 08:11:44 AM
Does that “ Campaign Management Website” reminds you of bitcointalk?  I mean bitcointalk offers everything else but doing automated payments and signature checks. It was the biggest global pool of scammers given their trust ratings. Good and bad managers list. Threads are maintained upto date with the latest running campaigns. Don’t know why would you need a different bitcointalk.
86  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ SCAM ALERT ] Legal Action Against Dean Nolan & betking.io on: November 30, 2019, 08:02:40 AM
There has been much interesting reading on this thread. I am a betking coin posts about Dean's criminal activities that need distilling (some of which has been done on this thread), and I'm sure others have other prepared to take legal action. I want to connect with those who can help me provide information to the police and/or a lawyer.
Finally someone as the investor have spoken up! Dean always keep bragging how the “investors are always happy and he doesn’t owe an explaination to anyone else but them”.

Quote
You'll find that nearly all investors have been reluctant to come forward, partly from a false hope of being repaid someday but also the systematic way that Dean intimidates and silences anyone who has spoken up.
Could you elaborate a little more on that? I wonder what sort of power he uses to silence the people? Definitely sounds like a criminal to me.

88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has entered a shop (non-BTC accepting) and asked if they will accept Crypto? on: November 29, 2019, 11:44:55 PM
I ask at every single store I visit - most people haven't a clue what I'm on about when I ask. Hopefully that encourages them to research later.
The experience is sort of opposite to me. Most of the shops that I have asked have heard the term Bitcoins and they want to know more but soon as I start explaining to them, they seem to not get it and sort of start to think it's too technical for them. Before accepting the cryptos, it will be a good idea to conduct free workshops and teach masses about the cryptos in the way they understand. Once they understand how easy it is, they might start adapting.

I think that is one major hurdle in shop or merchants adoption. Those small merchants heard already about crypto or bitcoin and even if they wanted to get on board, they don't know where to start. Somebody or someone should have life long commitment in making sure that somebody is learning how crypto/bitcoin works. For those who are interested and no one can assist them, they can always use the internet to search for every detail they want in terms of crypto market.
I don't know why the big names in the game aren't making an effort to start a venture to educate people about bitcoins. There are similar ventures for computer education, programming and some diseases. It would be so effective if someone starts like an NGO which gets funded by the donations or sponsors and their job is to go to malls and educate shop owners about bitcoins. I'd honestly do this on the weekend if I had a team of people.
89  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitpay Big Exploit? - 323 btcs sent to unknown address on: November 29, 2019, 11:41:33 PM
-snip-
Seems like Copay is trying to hide something from the vague replies they have sent to you. Makes sense that your keys could have compromised or CoPay could have been hacked. The only hope you have is keeping track of how the coins are moved. Watching this thread and tracking the coins.
90  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cold wallet trustlessly transmissible to my heir. on: November 29, 2019, 11:34:59 PM
Is this a hardware wallet or some software you are working on that can run on a normal computer? (offline?)

The cold wallet works as follows.

1) Download our Android app on a device of your choice.

2) Keep the device on airplane mode while the Android app is installed.
Ignore me if I sound stupid but how would you download the app when your phone is on the airplane mode? It needs the internet to download the App right?  Huh

3) Use the Android app to create your wallet following your own entropy.

4) Use the Android device to sign offline the transactions you generated online via our webapp (all communications offline/online are via QR codes).

5) Use our trustless mechanism based on Shamir Secret Sharing to transmit your wallet to your heir.

Here's some additional description of the cold wallet: www.selftrust.me

We give you USD 5 worth of btc to test our wallet and give us your impressions.
Is the feature available only for Android at the moment? I would give it a shot on an iPhone any day. Also, kinda skeptical about going online to your web-app when things are supposed to be "offline."

92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever done to experiment to determine percentage of winning? on: November 29, 2019, 10:57:12 PM
-snip-
Basically, what you're referring to is called a martingale. There are several ways to organize the bets and make some sense out of it by forming a pattern and like in the past, it has never worked out on a provable fair gambling site as every roll is random. This experiment failed a long time ago my dude.
93  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there a service that lets you lock your Bitcoin for 24-48 hours etc.? on: November 29, 2019, 10:48:36 PM
Let's say I have some Bitcoin and I want to lock the Bitcoin away for many reasons - is there a service that can let you deposit your Bitcoin and get it back after 24 hours or something similar?
Not that know of any such services but even if they exist, I would avoid them. You need to be in control of your bitcoins, if you think you are addicted to gambling or something you should rather talk to your friends then giving access to your funds to any such third party services. Probably use a cold wallet and keep the key safe with your closed one.

Perhaps you can even earn a small interest % on the Bitcoin whilst it's there?
Lending services are something similar I can think so but again don't think they'd pay you just for holding your coins for 24 hours.
94  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [xShop] shopereum.io – Optimizing Digital Transactions and Digital Marketing on: November 29, 2019, 10:32:26 PM
We built and launched an exchange – https://shopereum.io/
That doesn't look anything like an exchange. Edit your title to  * We have launched yet another ICO project. Also, the website states it's going to be a place to buy stuff with cryptos like e-commerce not sure where you getting the exchange part from. Were you in rush to launch the site that you forgot to add the Company, Developers etc pages in the footer? Please share some information about your team as well.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: November 29, 2019, 10:23:44 PM
McGregor is more a clown than a giant. Especially after the Nurmagomedov rhetoric before the game.

I will skip all of his future events, at least until he proves himself being a normal man, not a clown.
That isn' true. He is overconfident but it doesn't make him a less of a sportsman. Regardless of the fame and money, he has earned, remember he was a beast in the cage and have made legendary fights MMA has ever witnessed. I'm sure his comeback will legendary!

Conor will probably win this but the excitement & aura that surrounded him died when Khabib destroyed him, for me at least. I used to really like him, he is too interested in money & fame. 3 years ago he would have beaten Khabib, now he’s just another fighter.
He's not just another fighter. He makes more money from advertising and products than from MMA, to be honest. Having said that, you cannot say he won't come back stronger.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: November 28, 2019, 11:43:53 PM
The giant is back in the ring and just like every time, this is going to be a very hyped match when it comes to bets and gambling. The match is taking place in Las Vegas on January 18 next year. My favorite obviously is the Irishman Conor. Who do you think you'd be placing your bets on?

97  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto-Games.net ⭐ 5 Years Old! ⭐ Faucet ⭐ Wagering contest ⭐ Investments ⭐ on: November 28, 2019, 11:38:48 PM
I am new in this board.I want to play crypto games. Is it safe?
This thread speaks for itself. Smiley You'd be playing on one of the oldest and most reputed sites in the bitcoin gambling scene.

Anybody else ever get tempted to put a huge stack on a 50/50 odds, just for the hell of it? I know I do  Grin
Love playing on the 50/50 odds but only with the small stack. Infact, if I'm playing low bets, I prefer playing 50/50. It's a hit or miss but then again you'd lot to win and very small amount to lose.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: FREE SMART CONTRACT DEVELOPMENT on: November 28, 2019, 11:34:06 PM
Why would you do it for free when you can get paid by the potential projects? If you want to build your portfolio, you can simply make your own personal projects instead of working for these ICO scumbags for free. You'd get plenty of messages from the scammers to work for their project and they'd promise you to pay the tokens in return. In reality, they will use your code to show they're legit and run a scam ICO. Also, you'd have a good demand around if you can actually write a good smart contract on ETH, there are very few good developers around who know to code.
99  Other / Archival / Re: Support red flag against Merit seller - woodpeckersnake !!! on: November 28, 2019, 11:27:01 PM
You'd be wasting time tagging or flagging such throwaway accounts. They will simply create a new one and keep doing what they do. I suppose reporting such posts and getting the user banned is more efficient. I'm not sure how the forum's rules revolve around merit sellers but definitely something the mods should take seriously. On a side note, CryptoTalk forum has become a new source for buying/selling bitcintalk accounts/merits. Sample: https://cryptotalk.org/topic/13759-wtb-cheap-bitcointalk-account/ If you visit the marketplace section, you will find so many similar threads.
100  Economy / Reputation / Re: Please tag! on: November 28, 2019, 11:21:02 PM
Asides from the misleading information, I suspect the link he is sharing is a link to a malware (probably something like the clipboard hijacker malware).
Suspect? It's obviously a malware that steals bitcoins from your LBC accounts. Moreover, an LBC user will know that this will never work out. The script will navigate to the User's profile, create a transaction to send Bitcoins to his own address. If the user has enabled 2FA, they will be asked to enter the code and should be a red flag to not process that transaction.
