941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 Concerns About Bitcoin ? on: November 30, 2018, 11:19:19 PM
Just like to ask everyone out there. What are your top 5 Concerns regarding more less Cryptocurrency? not just Bitcoin in General. But more in the whole area of Cryptocurrency?

This could from regulation? Adoption? uses?

What would be your main concerns and thoughts about cryptocurrency?
That's an interesting question and thread have got some really good responses. My top concerns are as follows

1) What if governments want to kill bitcoin from the root? Like arresting the core developers and deleting all the open source repos?
2) What if people stop contributing to bitcoin?
3) Will lightening network ever have any commercial applications?
4) What is the next big thing in the crypto revolution after the ICO crap?
942  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do not trust anyone using my name on Telegram on: November 30, 2018, 11:15:26 PM
Many of the telegram scams are done by the scammers in a similar way. They pretend to be the admins of the groups by copying the profile picture and the TG name and when a new member enters the group, they message him pretending to be admins.

To avoid the situation, you should always keep your bitcoin address as your status and request people to ask for a signed message from that address before sending any money.
943  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lutpin and his kinds are not gods so stop it. on: November 30, 2018, 11:12:18 PM
This thread is really funny. Been in his campaign for over 1.5 years and there was never a single delay in the payments. Has anybody ever considered that the owners of the campaign could equally be at the fault by not sending payments to him on time? Just going around tagging a respected member without solid proofs is not needed to be honest. Like you can consider Crypto-games.net campaign managed by him and there wasn't any delay till date?
944  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet - SCAM - 30BTC being stolen on: November 24, 2018, 03:03:29 PM
Sorry I m new to this forum. How can we attach files here?
Newbies can't attach files directly. What do you mean by files though? You can only link img, gif, png, etc. You would upload your image to file hosting sites like imgur and send the link here. Hopefully, someone with a higher rank will quote your post and then your images will be displayed.

945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Finally - Khabib the Eagle vs Floyd MayWeather on: November 24, 2018, 03:01:02 PM
So this match up is supposed to happen on May 2019...  Anybody wanna make a bet on this event not happening?

For 50 bucks total (can be split vs different trusted people in BCT), I say it won't happen.  No way will there be a boxing match between Mayweather and Khabib.  50/50 odds and payment on June 1, 2019 to the winner.
ahah I could take on that. The match is certainly happening but just not sure about the ring. There could actually be two bets though. One for match and another for the type of ring selected. Match and Ring selected it's too one side of a bet.

Ok let's agree on the terms.  I'm betting that there's no bout between Mayweather and Khabib in boxing.  If a there's a boxing match between them before June 1, 2019, you win.  If there's none before June 1, 2019, I win...  But if there's a bout, but in MMA or some other form of fighting, it's a draw.

50/50 odds, payment on June 1, 2019.  50 bucks.  Go?
Sorry for responding late here. I almost forgot about this one. Yup I agree with the terms. Again, if there is a boxing match between them before June 1,2019 I win. If no boxing match then you win. If there's an MMA or a different form of fighting it's a draw. You may quote my post.
946  Other / Off-topic / Re: Suicidal ideation on: November 24, 2018, 02:57:27 PM
We are humans and for that matter, we are bound to all forms of psychological trauma when something is not going well. I have been wondering what some people who bought bitcoin since last year and early part of this year might be going through. For instance, somebody who bought 1BTC as at last year and he or she is in possession of it up till date, what do you think such a person might want to do to him or herself now that bitcoin has drain so heavily. I think such a person might be psychologically lacerated and thinking committing suicide. What do you also think and what advise will you offer to such a person?
I'll tell them to remember the golden rule of investing -  "Don't invest something you can't afford to lose" - This helps. The suicidal ratio will be comparatively low anyway because they can see the stats bitcoin has a history of going down and then coming back again.

Hi all,
Can someone help me hiding my name of a domain i bought?
Saw lot of different ways, but may be someone here knows the best way.

As long you are hosted on a third party service, it's not completely safe if being anonymous is your biggest concerns. As someone suggested above having a domain transfer can add a certain level of security but if you get into any serious offences it's easily trackable. I suggest you buy another domain and this time user registration details which aren't directly related to your identity. You can then, have a proxy server which sends traffic from your old domain to the new one. This way, your old domain won't be used much but it will be functional.
948  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LeeEverett80 is a scammer on: November 24, 2018, 02:48:25 PM
Yep, you're right he's just another self-moderated thread scammer. What made you think it was okay to trust an account with no reputation without an escrow? He has edited the thread and will be back again with a new thread to scam newbies like you. Even if gets tagged by the DT he has nothing to lose. You said he had no bad trust, well we had no good trust either.
949  Economy / Reputation / Re: Spambie - spamquoting - please bann on: November 24, 2018, 02:44:25 PM
When the spambie is still newbie he can be nuked so all his posts will got deleted,I hope he will be nuked by mods because he doesn't add anything to his posts, just quoting and leaving without writing anything.
Exactly! Newbie accounts with zero merits who spam the boards just like the mentioned user should be banned permanently. It's obvious that these people rank out to be the spammers of the future and then banning them becomes even more difficult. There should be zero-tolerance policies towards the newbie accounts.
950  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: November 24, 2018, 02:39:46 PM
@OP: Please respond to the accusation opened here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5074681.msg48174325#msg48174325 This is a clear example of your site directly stealing money from an innocent customer in the name of KYC policies. Why you didn't ask them for documents when they deposited 25 BTC? Please answer in that thread for transparency.

951  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet - SCAM - 30BTC being stolen on: November 24, 2018, 02:36:28 PM
-   I opened an account with Cloudbet a month ago, deposited 25BTC

-   Reasons why I deposited big: I am new to crypto casino, didn’t know much scams before, trusted their license (Montenegro license which I found out it’s actually an empty license after I was scammed, which means they operate WITHOUT license!); also they claimed to have highest limits and I saw each premier league game they could take up to 10-15BTC per bet max.
Man, what drugs do you smoke to deposit 25 BTC when you are a newbie in the crypto casino? You're suppose to view the licenses before depositting the money and not after getting scammed.

--snipe--
You make a valid case. Let's wait for their reply in this thread. Another reason why you should avoid such scammy sites with ridiculous KYC policies.  The funny thing is, these scumbags didn't ask for KYC when you deposited 25 BTC.
952  Economy / Reputation / Re: Marketing a Ponzi Campaign is fair ? on: November 24, 2018, 02:32:40 PM
My question is , Is marketing/approaching for marketing a ponzi campaign fair ?
I don't think it's endorsed on the forum. While it doesn't directly break any of the forum's rules, it might be taken as a serious case by the DT members. Marketing a ponzi is as good as scamming people by making them victims for it. He should tagged by the DT.
953  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Upcoming MMO Seeks Coin for Game Economy on: November 24, 2018, 02:25:10 PM
Bitcointalk,

I’m seeking a currency for integration within an upcoming sci-fi mmorpg in the classic roguelike genre.  The currency in question should have some sort of desktop API that works with C and is generally liquid.  Let ke know if you have any suggestions!

Thanks!
What do you mean "is generally" liquid? Why can't you just use Bitcoin instead? You can certainly use Bitcoin's API for in-game transactions and stuff. If I was you, I'd probably also consider creating my own currency over one of the existing solid coins like Ehereum. After all, the type of coin used doesn't really define how far your game can go.

funny how the bitcoin miner lobby is pissed of when others also create their own "coins"

its his project let him do what he wants.
Its funny how you related me to the bitcoin miner lobby when I'm not even remotely associated with bitcoin mining. I know it's his project but there is a reason why he created a thread and have asked for the suggestions. Why are you so butthurt btw? Did I insult one of your BCH propaganda?

955  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Browser for Blockchain domains. Team and Investors search. on: November 23, 2018, 09:19:21 PM
Let's ask you some important questions

1. Is the browsing anonymous?
2. Will the browser support cookie and user tracking?
3. Will it have third-party plugin integration?
4. Who will be the digital certificate provider?
5. Is this just another ICO or any actual project that will launch?
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What causes a person to become intensely addicted to gambling? on: November 23, 2018, 09:14:30 PM
Lots of things. If you really want a logical or psychological answer google is the place. Moreover, the following topic is discussed multiple times on the forum if you care to look for it. Lock the thread, it isn't adding anything constructive to the section.
957  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SEPA - Single euro Payments Area on: November 23, 2018, 09:06:22 PM
SEPA has been a good thing for Europe, but I know some EU countries still don't use SEPA. It allows us to make bank transfers free of cost and quite fast. Sometimes less than 12 hours, so fast too. I personally don't see any disadvantage other than the bank is still able to identify the sender/receiver and can too decide to lock a transfer.
I know some third world countries which have bank transfer methods like IMPS where money is sent to a destination within minutes. They also have high transfer limits. I like SEPA but taking more than 24 hours to reflect payments is a turn-off. Like why can't they create a system where money transfer is instant? The security issues aside but if someone is really in a need for cash in another European country, there should be a way out using SEPA.

You do know right the profits quoted there are without the taxes and money they put in for the promotions? They're like a multinational organization with proper infrastructure and a business model. You aren't considering the fact that in the same year every day 100's of players won insane bets too.
959  Economy / Services / Re: [BLACK FRIDAY DEAL] 💸 FREE FACEBOOK ADS 💸[BLACK FRIDAY DEAL] on: November 23, 2018, 08:50:56 PM
I didn't expect this to get zero traction whatsoever Tongue Maybe everyone here just hates Facebook..

Oh well, guess I'll just have those ads expire. Quite a shame
(You shouldn't really be bumping the topic in less than 24 hours in the first place but anyway)

I'm sure people don't understand your post. Since I'm familiar with the Facebook ads I know what you're talking about. Maybe you could throw in some keywords like "Free Sponsored Adds" or "Free Page Promotion".

Alright, well I have at least that amount of knowledge but don't quiz me on anything here.  I just woke up and [insert excuse here].
lol Noo I wasn't hinting at you at all! Grin I'm pretty sure one doesn't simply get accepted into the ChipMixer signature campaign without knowing what a private key is. Segwit addy requirement.

Each to their own. There are posts which are both technical and interesting. There are posts which are non-technical and interesting. There are also users like this guy who makes technical/math based posts, but I find completely uninteresting because he is a self-righteous troll.
Damn! I've just discovered a goldmine right there! He seems like an intellectual entertaining troll.
