461  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone is selling green rating (DT) on: May 24, 2019, 04:13:16 PM
I am wondering that how many user fell for it. I do not think those who got scammed  in name of merit selling and trust selling will be reporting about the scam.
No, they wouldn't expose themselves about this shady behaviour. Everyone know if they attempt to buy green trust and if its exposed then they will receive negative trust. So we can say this is a silent scam, nothing else.
No, that's retarded. If someone got scammed by a member, they can always create a new fake account to report the scam? They don't have to reveal the account that was buying the service but can always report the seller. Getting a fake account tagged wouldn't make any difference to them.
if they were to present pms (or any other means of private communication) to prove a scam occurred, their identity would be revealed to the seller, who in turn could reveal the name of the buyer's account.
True, but they don't have to present the PM's or the obvious screen-shots right? They can just say they got scammed by the particular service and other members must be careful before using it. I know the DT's and such will ask for the proofs but given the account's risk, I think a simple reference to the service thread should be enough.
462  Economy / Reputation / Re: Found a user using 2 accounts on: May 24, 2019, 04:08:35 PM
--snip
Why bother creating a new thread for this? There's already a thread in this section that keeps track of alt accounts you might want to report it there. Also, are you the campaign manager who actually found the connections for that bounty or just a participant that is reporting the findings? I don't know on what basis the accounts are connected but if there is solid evidence of them participating in the same bounty with multiple accounts then I could tag them.

464  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for android developer! A basic app needed. on: May 20, 2019, 02:16:12 PM
do at freelancer and upwork site if more safe. i dont understand why you ask in here if you do there. must be because no one will do there cause you will pay after work. so people here have to not waste their time for you.

It is not paid after work, the work is way more complex vs what we ask now. Now just to see you have an idea how to work at least for android. We also need ios and after combined all the apps in the same system, payment by card and many more.

We have tried freelancer/upwork, but most of the users that have applied, take the job and don't start working. We need the app by 10th of June at least something to start to use it, but until now we have 4 attempts of apps that don't work anymore, can share the .apk for anyone interested
You're a time waster here. How much is your budget for the app? I hire several developers from this forum for various jobs and I do et perfect developers who do the work in the given time frame if they think you're not another broke ass who pays peanuts. Where did you get this estimation of 2 days? You're a software architect or what? Setting up an Android development environment takes half a day lol
465  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMERS & THIEVES: Crypto Vip signal™ / @jamess141 / @Tony4Crypto on: May 18, 2019, 02:45:52 PM
They offered marketing, we agreed on 7 posts in one week (aka one post every day for one week), they never did that.... They are +50.000 member telegram group that posts "buy signals" for cryptos.
Marketing where? On the telegram group or some other blog? You could probably share the link to that telegram channel?

We made the agreement over a month ago, so nope, im not writing this without trying to negotiate with them first... Its impossible to negotiate when they wont even answer and when they answer its one word like "ok" and nothing else...
Makes sense. You should probably find their accounts/service threads on bitcointalk and link them here so DT can take appropriate actions. It's a terrible experience to get such replies after paying $3500.
466  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase could buy Xapo on: May 18, 2019, 02:41:58 PM
So basically one shiity service is buying another to create the most fucked up crypto wallet of the future? Nice!

I don't know what retard does it take it create a wallet on Xapo in 2019. I don't even know how a wallet service earns so much money that get sold for millions. This is a different ballgame altogether.
467  Economy / Lending / Re: No collateral, interest free 0.02 BTC loan to any Legendary member - experiment on: May 18, 2019, 02:37:12 PM
Or is this ^experiment^ limited to just 1 single entity?
Or you didn't check the thread like last time? Wink
Well, he did take a day to respond to me. I waited for a reply on the thread for a long time but had to send them a private message to get the attention. Maybe you should try doing that as well?

P.S: The service doesn't guarantee instant loans lol
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Gambling Site for Cricket World Cup on: May 18, 2019, 02:32:22 PM
So the selective scamming means that they will stop the withdrawal of large amounts and keep on clearing the small withdrawals ?
Somewhat, yes. Basically, if you're a trusted member of the community they will not fuck you over but if you're a noob who can be silenced, they will scam the shit out of you. Large withdrawals from newbie members or newly created accounts will always be on hold for security/KYC reasons as according to their logic.

Secondly, does it also means that currently there is no site which is 100% secure for sports betting ?
Yes, every site has their flaws and most of them have had scam accusations against them in the past. The sites suggested in this thread are definitely not 100% to be trusted with your money.
469  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMERS & THIEVES: Crypto Vip signal™ / @jamess141 / @Tony4Crypto on: May 18, 2019, 02:27:54 PM
I didn't even know the crypto prices can be manipulated by "posts" created by a bunch of people. What is Crypto VIP signal anyway? A telegram group? A website? You had no problems when they were posting good and the price of your coin was "pumping"? You gotta elaborate more.
470  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: duckdice.io scam me on: May 18, 2019, 02:22:34 PM
Seven hour isn't big duration IMO, and you should get your withdrawal as well. Let us know tomorrow if still your withdrawal is on pending.
What the fuck is that even supposed to mean? 7 hours is a LONG duration for a site that claims to do Instant Deposits and Withdrawals. I assume you know about the price volatility of cryptos.

my conclusion must be confirmed by the administrator; he does not respond more than 8 hours
Use a proper scam accusation format as someone suggested above otherwise, no one is interested in clicking random links.
471  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Worst Online Crypto Wallet Ever! [Poll] on: May 18, 2019, 02:12:36 PM
I voted for Xapo, I haven't used most on the poll but I have used both blockchain.com and Xapo. I haven't used xapo for years and the last time I used them was when they have turned the fees higher and I'm pretty sure that many stopped using them because of that update.
Can you share your experience with blockchain.com? and how bad it was? because for me, luckily so far I haven't experienced anything bad with them.
Yeah definitely! First off, the user interface in blockchain.com's wallet is pathetic. Since their last update, it has gotten worse. They barely give attention to user experience. Secondly, the fee structure for sending money is out of the picture. I think they don't know the basic math behind calculating the transaction fees. Integrating BCH/ETH into the same damn website makes everything looks so messey. They can't even do a proper BTC wallet and integrating other coins is such a disappointment. Overall, they're the trashiest thing happened to the bitcoin world.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Gambling Site for Cricket World Cup on: May 17, 2019, 07:03:22 PM
I am looking for the best gambling site for the upcoming cricket world cup in England this year.
Is there any site which is dedicated to this event ?
In simple terms: It doesn't exist!

To elaborate it further: The odds you get from these new gambling sites for cricket are shite and you have better chances of getting good odds from your local bookie instead. Directbet was the only reliable website but since it's shut down, I don't see a nicer alternative. The shit-heads posting here Cloudbet/Sportsbet don't know how unreliable are these websites and have a scam accusation against them every week or so.

Since these sites have some scam accusation against them does not mean that they are not trusted at all. As far as i know most of these accusations are based upon personal loss experience and not the right ones. Many people play and are satisfied with both the cloudbet and sportsbet services.
Have you heard about this thing called *Selective Scamming*? That's what they do. Also, if the accusations were just based on personal experiences then their profiles wouldn't have been tagged by the DT on bitcointalk. Makes sense? CloudBet is scamming huge amounts recently. Head over to the scam accusations section and see the open cases against them. Yes, I agree people have good experiences as well but do you guarantee that to the OP?
473  Other / Archival / Re: [ NO COLLATERAL ] * lending service * on: May 17, 2019, 06:49:02 PM
4. When accepting your application I will give you neutral trust.
5. In case of violation of above rules I will give you negative trust.
That is not what the trust system is intended to do. Why would you give them a neutral trust for just accepting their request? That indeed looks like trust farming and your negative wouldn't be justified since you can't go around tagging members for not following your rules. That's an untrustworthy behavior for me and I shall not trust your ratings.

Also, what defines reputaed members on bitcointalk for you?
474  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Yobit login problem, I have the 2fa code and everything on: May 17, 2019, 06:45:02 PM
If you need a coin that isn't listed on one of the better ones, I'd say go for it but you're still trying your luck with Yobit.  If you ever run into an issue, you can forget about them giving you any help.
If that coin is listed only on YoBit and not on any other major exchanges, it probably means the coin is a pump and dump scheme with no future. I'd avoid buying such coins at any cost. YoBit conducts its shady ICO's every month or two for such useless coins.

Google Authenticator [GA] always problem about time sync, we have double check before use it. Even GA haven't back up too when Handphone get a problem. I was migrating to Authy for 2fa, it have back up whe you loss your phone
It does have a back-up. The key that you get while installing the app for the first time. You gotta save it somewhere else than your phone.
475  Economy / Web Wallets / Worst Online Crypto Wallet Ever! [Poll] on: May 17, 2019, 06:41:17 PM
Just wanted to know what the fellow members think about the worst bitcoin/crypto related online wallets. Personally, all of them suck since one shouldn't be using an online wallet at all but my recent experience with Blockchain.com's online wallet has been devastating. I wish I could show the results of this thread to one of the developers of the respective wallet. Vote for your preferences and if you want me to add another option then I'd do that as well.

477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fee has gone up by 10x during the last two weeks on: May 17, 2019, 06:30:20 PM
The network congestion cannot be controlled right? Unfortunately, bitcoin wasn't developed to solve this problem particularly.

Hmm, No.

Sure it could, increasing blocksize to a mere 8mb or changing blockspeed to 2.5 minutes would dramatically increase the onchain transaction capacity.

Before the LN hype for offchain banking, something sensible like the above would have been done.

Bitcoin does not need to match visa, it only needs to be able to handle it current requirements, of which fees increase because of devs refusing to upgrade the onchain system.
I get the LN and increasing the blocksize discussion but it isn't going anywhere right? What I intended to say was bitcoin when initially developed didn't implement a use-case where the increasing network fees are targetted. (And that is why people moved on to create something like Ethereum).
478  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Looking 4 Help] Bringing the next big thing to life on: May 17, 2019, 06:25:47 PM
You sure your video platform will be able to take over YouTube/Twitch/DailyMotion? If I understand it correctly, you're planning to integrate a smart contract in the video sharing platform. What is the use of transactions here? Like I don't need any money to use YouTube? I understand all the technical parts but simply in the commercial terms I don't see a big market for it when YouTube has been doing this for ages and one wouldn't switch to a new platform especially if they have tp go through all the crypto theories.
479  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [New] A collection of high quality cryptocurrency logos on: May 17, 2019, 06:21:30 PM
Nice. Are all the logos free to use/modify or one has to purchase some exclusive rights to use them for commercial purposes? I'm confused because  I could see a shopping cart in the top bar and there isn't any option to add an item to the cart. In my opinion, this should be a free/open source project.
480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fee has gone up by 10x during the last two weeks on: May 17, 2019, 06:17:16 PM
I have noticed that the transaction fee has gone up tremendously during the last two weeks. I am using Blockchain.com wallet, and until two weeks back I was paying somewhere between 1-3 Satoshi per byte for my transactions. But now the default fee in Blockchain.com has increased by more than 10 times, to around 40 Satoshis per byte. And I checked bitcoinfees.earn.com as well, and according to it, the fee needed for instant confirmation is around 220 Satoshi/byte.
That blockchain.com's wallet is the problem which always estimates wrong fees. I don't know why their silly devs can't fix this. Use Electrum, even though the network is congested, I pay nominal fees. Or you should cross check with the fees estimator to see how much is the current fee per sats to get faster confirmations. I'd still be cheaper than blockchain.com's estimations.

I am not saying that at current levels this fee is unaffordable. But what if there is another 10x increase in the transaction fee? Are you willing to pay 2,000 Sat/byte for instant confirmations?
The network congestion cannot be controlled right? Unfortunately, bitcoin wasn't developed to solve this problem particularly.
