Or sign up for an account at Walletbit (www.walletbit.com) and you have a wallet instantly. No downloads or special software needed - just a browser. WalletBit solves the problem of the bloated block chain for new users.

We started off with a bitcoin that anyone could use and now were forced to buy stuff we dont really want.

Mining bitcoins doesn't equal using bitcoins. Anyone can still start using bitcoins in a few minutes. Download a lightweight client create your wallet and you are done.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Point of Sale - WalletBit on: October 21, 2012, 11:17:11 PM
WalletBit includes all business tools, email transfers and SMS transactions free of charge via ResponsePay. Our Point of Sale system, currently in beta phase, will also be available free of charge and includes an inventory system for your online business.

Modules ready for use in many of the most popular commerce solutions are already available. Please see https://walletbit.com/shop for more details. We may be able to provide additional support on a case by case basis.

In defense of Paypal being high risk, if a transaction has anything to do with Bitcoin then Paypal has a tendency to reverse that payment and block the account.

Sell me on your product as a business that sells online. Meaning, what is the benefit of going through your service which charges a re-occurring percent fee of my overall BTC income compared to paying a programmer a one-time fee to incorporate an API to accept BTC into a pre-existing cart system.

Seriously. As a merchant, I'm open to the idea. But I don't see the benefit from a cost-savings perspective based on what I see on your website.

My needs are simple: During the checkout process of a pre-existing cart, I want a customer to be able to choose BTC as an option of payment where the only information I need is a U.S.-based confirmed shipping address.

EDIT: I also disagree with your view that Paypal is high fraud risk. Following their seller protection program, it actually is very low risk....
163  Economy / Service Discussion / WalletBit vs BitPay Fee Comparison on: October 21, 2012, 08:40:42 PM
What better way to celebrate my 1000th post on Bitcointalk than by explaining how WalletBit can save your company thousands of dollars. Let's consider the various ASIC manufacturers out there and see who is the most affordable payment processor, WalletBit or BitPay:

BFL Jalapeno
Cost:
$149
You Receive:
                       BTC            USD
WalletBit
 12.306 BTC  $145.76
BitPay      12.294 BTC  $144.99

Savings with an estimated 10000 unit volume
                124.167 BTC  $7700.00

bASIC
Cost:
$1069
You Receive:
                       BTC            USD
WalletBit
 88.290 BTC  $1049.46
BitPay      88.201 BTC  $1040.24

Savings with an estimated 600 unit volume
                 53.450 BTC  $5532.00

Avalon
Cost:
$1299
You Receive:
                      BTC             USD
WalletBit
107.287 BTC  $1275.39
BitPay    107.178 BTC  $1264.06

Savings with an estimated 300 unit volume
                  32.475 BTC  $3399.00

As you can see, the savings from our reduced fees can easily add up to thousands of dollars. We have recently changed our fee structure to make our service more competitive and believe this illustrates it well.

WalletBit is not only a payment processor but also an online wallet that includes many features such as automatic form completion and even sending Bitcoins through email. There is also a SMS-based implementation of WalletBit called ResponsePay that brings our features to tablets and mobile devices. WalletBit has been a pillar of the Bitcoin community since July 2011 - making it a company you can trust. With all the features offered by WalletBit, why would you pay more?

Thank you for your suggestion, it will be updated as soon as possible.

No comma between "simple" and "pricing." Should be: "WalletBit provides a simple pricing model..."
165  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [4000 Gh/s] 50BTC.com - PPS, INSTANT payout (LR, qiwi, WM,...), API, no stales on: October 16, 2012, 02:41:06 AM
I used to have an url, something like 50btc.com/stats/<1myaddress>, for checking my current mining info by payment address. I've lost it due to bookmark data loss and I cannot find any stats link on your FAQ.

Can you please remind me? Thx.

https://50btc.com/api/BTC_ADDRESS

.. but replace BTC_ADDRESS with your BTC address. I see my unpaid rewards are still there at least.

Dear users! Bitcoin payots are not processing due maintenance. We are sorry for inconvenience.

I received payments the last two days but not today. Any ETA on when this will be fixed?

I would like to see more automatic bitcoin payout options Smiley

I would like an option to be able to have it pay the entire balance at a set time.
I would also like it to pay a set balance when that balance has been reached.

Ideally, I would love to setup automatic payments in a worker specific way,
so when that worker has mined X btc it is automatically paid out.

example:

I have worker #1 mining away, I would like to have an automatic .5 BTC payment sent each time worker #1 has mined .5 BTC
I also have worker #2, I would like to setup an automatic .8 BTC payment each time this worker has mined .8 BTC
etc

If you set a BTC address specific to each worker without making separate accounts you can keep track of each individual worker. 50BTC allows payout every 24 hours as long as the balance is above .01BTC without registration. At least that is what I would do.

I can't really say exactly what it was, but I would not leave a project I have spent over 9 months on over nothing. As for the free gift, you should probably inquire about them since I can no longer guarantee their delivery. In fact, I cannot guarantee any of the promises made to customers because I am no longer part of the organization.

Is it because you realized something was fishy?

Can you say anything on the free gift that subscribers were supposed to have recieved by now?

Not that at all. I was one of the first to call for his removal.

what was the  irreconcilable differences?

Matthew's absence?

Please note for anyone that I made promises to, I am no longer able to make sure they are fulfilled.

I don't think I want anything to do with another magazine in my life after this.

Another magazine?
172  Economy / Service Announcements / Accounts Manager Resigns From Bitcoin Magazine on: October 03, 2012, 09:54:00 PM
Dear Bitcoin Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce I will no longer be working for Bitcoin Magazine. For the past 9 months I have worked tirelessly to ensure your happiness and did my best to make sure your magazines arrived on time. At times it was a bumpy road but we made it this far. While we may not have always delivered in the most timely manner, I worked within the limits that I had in order to get them out as fast as possible. It is because of irreconcilable differences between myself and the current board of directors that I am stepping down. I will still remain in the Bitcoin community and probably be starting another project of my own soon.

Sincerely,

Adam Harding

174  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Butterfly Labs CEO 25 Million USD Mail Fraud — A Concise Summary of Evidence on: September 21, 2012, 02:43:28 AM
Wouldn't it be funny if they were able to scam everyone out of their upgrade money, then on top of that get many of the people to send functional FPGAs back to them so they can run off with the $$$ and a couple TH/s of mining gear to keep the $$$ flowing in afterwards?   Grin  Grin  Grin
This is a good indicator. Once ASICs come out the FPGAs have much less value - so why would they want them back? Well, because if you get them back but ASICs never ship then you have a huge mining rig with excellent value as ASICs haven't yet pushed up the difficulty.

So not only will you be smarting from not getting your ASICs but you'll have to put up with knowing that the bitcoins you're using are being mined by your very own rigs in the fraudsters hands. Which explains why they didn't mind shipping FPGAs in the first place as they knew they actually having you pay for their own super rig.

Good point.
Is there any good idea what to do with this amount of fpga rigs?
Sell to some government for cracking passwords etc.?

FPGA=Field Programmable Gate Array

Bitcoins aren't the first or only thing they are used for. They have a great second life for a variety of uses including medical research. There is a much greater post Bitcoin resale value in FPGAs then ASICs which would essentially become useless.

PG, please, let this topic go.

somebody should seriously lock and delete this thread and im not kidding.

SilentMaria.

Why exactly? I think this is relevant information for anyone who has or is thinking of placing an ASIC preorder with BFL. Why are you so adamant about people not finding out about their CEOs past?
176  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITCOIN MAGAZINE ARRIVED! on: September 20, 2012, 12:01:19 PM
Just got mine, BC Canada.

Is it just me, or are issue 2 and 3 half the size of issue 1. It feels like you split the 2nd issue in two and sold the other half as issue #3...
Well, the font is a lot smaller, so there's more content on each page.

Its also printed on slightly thinner paper per inside page. The page count for Issues 1, 2 and 3 are the same.

Yeah, not Satoshi.  Satoshi has red hair and a big handlebar moustache.

So he's Ronald McDonald? You heard it from Gavin folks. LOL

[edit] It's makeup paint but it looks a lot like a handlebar mustache. Get on it Bruno!
