Prize determination:The price will go to the person purchasing the ticket # corresponding to the last # of the total number of shares it took to solve a block on OzCoin.net:http://ozcoin.net/content/block-history-bitcoinAfter all tickets are sold, the next day the first block solved will be the block to decide via the number of shares it took to solve. Tickets are numbered 0-9 I suggest you specify a exactly period of time, e.g. "after 31/08/2012 23:59". Once you do it, publish here and I will hash your terms to settle the winner.

Trust me the cycle of investor emotions always applies;)
Maybe this picture is more intuitive:
Also quite entertaining:
Indeed, it applies, but not for the entire Bitcoin network, including the exchange markets. Artificial intelligence is not influenced by emotional cycles. E.g. What is Trader Bots? Trader Bots makes it easy for you to use technical analysis in your current trading decisions. Our team trains various neural networks that analyze the stock market and over 700 individual stocks. These neural networks compete and evolve in order to maximize profits and reduce risk. http://www.traderbots.com/

still down
Hit Reload. It's up. Incidentally, ... LR comes back and BTC/USD jumps 7% in a matter of hours? Coincidence? we opened the faucet! I guess a lot of people were waiting to unload LR and load BTC. This is very interesting. Your exchange service must be part of what caused a high volume of transactions in the last hours: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=82626.msg1144449#msg1144449Aug 30, 2012 00:03:45 (UTC) Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Two red doji after a shooting star is a strong sign for a bearish reversal. At least, that shows persistent resistance for the bulls. Just as I write this message, another correction at Mt.Gox throw the price to $10.6. The bears are pushing the bulls down, bit by bit.

btw last time when the transaction volume exploded, we were exactely at the bottom at 2 USD...
so why should this now be an indicator for negative market reaction?
You are comparing oranges and apples. No, I think you are jumping to wild conclusions. It is not exactly conclusions, but speculation.

Anyone would mind making this keep running? Yes! 161gEQewAVp6CFnoY5198vHchrbWLQytG7 Edit: Received.

NO!
The user controlling that address is not pirate40!
|
|
|
I think it is very likely that pirate will just keep his bitcoins for the time being, at least over the course of this year.
Do you think that is a bullish or bearish influence?
Things I can come up with: Pirates BTC essentially are withheld from the market, thus shortening supply (bullish) People who lost their bitcoins might be frustrated and leave, not buying perhaps selling the rest if they weren't going all in (bearish)
None. Pirate40 is not the Bitcoin network.

time to hit 7 again ?
I speculate on your item B! All exchange markets today are very unstable.

i don't think you're understanding what i'm saying. I'm not claiming the player who did this 15k selloff is the owner of that wallet.
Sorry, you are right, I misread your post. In this case your hypothesis is quite valid.
|
|
|
My theory is the player already had at least 15k btc in mt. gox. And the transfer of 100k btc from that address made him think it was a good time to spark a panic.
Funds sent to market exchange accounts are split in smaller amounts. The amount transferred is still intact. http://blockchain.info/address/1Hcs1e7iaMp1gvm5mypZsqVa6ncpcfiCcm

My theory is this player was someone attempting to cause a panic with 15k coins (12642 + 2358). The attempt failed and now hes screwed.
If in your theory the player is the owner of the 1DkyBEKt5S2GDtv7aQw6rQepAvnsRyHoYM address, then you are wrong. His funds did not reach the market, yet...

AMAZING! WOW! You think Pirate40 is causing every move in the market! I am sorry, but this is funny and stupid! There are countless users trading in the market, mainly outside Mt.Gox BTC/USD scope.

|
|
lol this thread just caused a big player to panic. gj
Wrong. The user behind the address panic the market, not himself.
