We're currently running the numbers, and while final standings will have to be double checked for errors before we can publish the sheet, let me give a quick summary: (the unfinished version of the rewards table can be found here if you want to check your placement and reward). In total, we reached a grand score of nearly 500M credits (479,907,367), having over 100 users participate (106 to be exact), who contributed computation power from 453 CPUs/GPUs and completed 17,663 WUs. For the squads, first rank was a close race between Green and Red, with Green keeping the upper hand in the end. Red came in second and Blue ranks third. As unranked squad, Rainbow got to 0.043 BTC in rewards that will be donated, I'll keep you posted once the donations are made. For single user spotlight, Joter has to be mentioned, who leads the ranking with nearly 65M credits (that's over 10% of the total). Closely followed by xandry, who's second with almost 56M credits (as well over 10% of the total). Well done both of you. Also, keep in mind that, while we do wind down our rewarding event at this point, you can still contribute to Folding@Home, either in our team, or in any other team. When is the official end of the competition?
We're currently looking at extending it for a few more days, possibly until the 14th of May. Just a quick update, we've set the 14th as fixed ending date for the event now. With the small delay in stats provided via Folding@Home and giving some time to run all numbers, rewards should be sent out on the 15th or 16th. I'll keep everyone posted about the progress. Don#t forget you can keep increasing your credits until that day (including the full day on the 14th). |

I'd like to talk about folding@home for a bit. It has been in the news a lot recently and seen huge increases in contributions, so if you already know what it is or are even folding yourself already, that's great. If not, let me quickly describe what it is about: folding@home uses your hardware while it is idle to perform scientific computations. Hardware in this regard includes CPUs and GPUs (eg an altcoin mining rig or your gaming PC, but also regular office PCs and workstations). Among the top priorities for those projects right now is also one addressing covid-19. A more detailed explanation can be found here. But to put it in dangerously brief terms: If you run folding@home right now, you help fight covid-19. So where does CryptoGames come in? We've created a folding@home team and a lot of us started contributing themselves. You'll find some familiar names on the team page. We've also started a contest with that team and you can join the contest on either our discord server or via the thread in Games&Rounds. As a little incentive, we have allocated 0.5 BTC that will be used as rewards for all those that choose to join the team and donate their computing power. Just a quick update on our Folding@Home event. We've been running strong for the last month and a lot of your already have reached the reward cap. But those of you that have not, or those that haven't even joined yet, don't worry, there still is time (and there also still is important research being done that you are supporting by folding). We initially set up the event with a one month target, but since we still have some allocated rewards left, we'd like to continue rewarding those of you that fold and promoting Folding@Home as we think it is now as important a cause as it has been when we started. I have a quick question about the rewards distribution. I know that the maximum is currently 0.01BTC/person; but does that also include the group rewards, or just the folding? And those group rewards are included in the 0.5BTC, or is it 0.5BTC for individual rewards+group rewards?
The current allocation is 0.35 BTC for direct rewards, 0.1 BTC for squad rewards and 0.05 BTC for lottery ticket to all participating users. The 0.01 BTC per users only applies to the first category, the direct rewards. Just a suggestion; try using the "transparent" color in the first row so that the white doesn't burn trough people's eyes.

While we have been running a bit below that, we are still overwhelmed with the amount of engagement. Giving it a few more days allows those that are close to the max reward to catch up, and those that have less hardware available to them to collect some more rewards. Also, we believe it is now as important as it was back when we started to promote Folding@Home, and we would like to continue doing that, especially since we still have some rewards left. I hope nobody feels blindsided by that decision. |

I've done my best to sync my list with the one Nu maintains on discord, so that shouldn't be the case. Some users joined without signing up via either place, some joined and signed up in a way we couldn't assign them (eg HungryCrypto, as that Crypto.Games account does not exist). The vast majority of users are assigned a team however and the few that are unassigned should not make a difference in the team placements. Talking about inconsistencies...Some users don't even know their FAH donors name or at least they don't spell it properly (and yes sorry but the character case matters !)..well it's a mess , I did my best to corrected what I could but I am afraid I won't be able to do much more without proper infos.
Fixed some of those you pointed out. You also should be able to convert every username to lower case from both the list I maintain and the folding stats, and then match them, as neither folding donor names nor Crypto.Games usernames are case sensitive. |

@shantee, users Daltonik, Durel and bobpaw should be in "Green" team, not rainbow; oldminer in "Red". The count on the commands is incorrect, as there are many inconsistencies.
Some of those errors might be due to me. I've updated the table in the first reply with a few fixes (and added a link to shantee's tracker, thanks for the effort, regardless of the inconsistencies). A quick explanation of the formatting of the table: Users that want to be rewarded with a different coin than BTC have that coin in parenthesis behind (effectively under) their name. Users that use different names on CG and FAH have their CG name in the table and their folding name in parenthesis behind/under that. I've also added those names that are reasonably similar (dal52/Daltonik & Durell253/Durel) to the table to make it easier for people other than me to track the teams. Sorry for not doing that earlier. |

You missed the fourth squad, Rainbow, which amounts to over 25M credits as of right now. Plus some users joined the team, possibly at random, without signing up via this thread or discord and thus are not assigned to any squad and wont be either. |

The last two digits of your Server seed + client seed combined and encrypted in SHA512 are 77 (called the jackpot number and can be found on your BetID)
As a jackpot hunter, I was excited at first that the requirements were loosened,ad that now we have more chances of hitting it. But then I realized that it's not that simple. Can you please explain, compared to previous requirements, do we have more chances, or less, or is the probability of hitting the Jackpot remains the same? The probability of a dice jackpot does not change, what does change is that all aspects of the jackpot are provably fair now. In the previous implementation with BetIDs you had no way to account for the way your betID was allocated. While the site gives them out based on the order bets are submitted to the server, that's not easily verified. In this implementation, all requirements of the jackpot can be determined based on the server and client seed. This way you can 100% verify that your chances of hitting the jackpot are as advertised. So, in short: It makes the jackpot more transparent, it doesn't change how likely it is. |

A few frequently asked questions I want to answer: - My credit total is low, what do I do? First off, set a passkey for your folding user, that way you qualify for bonus credits. Secondly, you will need to complete 10 WUs before getting those. Long story short, your credits will be low at the beginning, and pick up significantly after a while. - I'm not getting any WUs, what can I do? You can set your client type to advanced, if you have the hardware to support the advanced Work Units. Further, you can pause and restart the folding, this will decrease the time your client waits before requesting a new Work Unit, giving you better chances at getting assigned one. If neither helps, dont be disappointed, it means that all available units are being worked on already, which in the current crisis, is a positive thing.
