261  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wapinter related with Scam? Why he repeat to promote ICO with fake team ? on: June 21, 2018, 12:17:27 PM
Nobody is promoting scams, as you can very well see, he closed the campaign.
Indeed, nobody is promoting any scam because the bounty threads for all scams mentioned in OP are closed.
Like the thread for xeonframe, which is lock...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3963215.msg40587785;topicseen#msg40587785
wait, it's not locked? That would mean, people are currently promoting a...I don't wanna say it.

Top job designing those signatures, btw.
262  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wapinter related with Scam? Why he repeat to promote ICO with fake team ? on: June 21, 2018, 09:35:13 AM

One question though, are you in any way part of the "Wapinter Bounty Portal" team (you know, the guys with the banned account)?

Since you ask about a shared bounty management account here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3606878.0
And the very same day, this thread is posted by a member of the WBP team: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3603094.0

The wording is so similar, it's almost...the same.

Some of our team members have individual accounts here on froum which we do not share with anyone. But we want to create an official account for bounty management whose login details will be shared with some of our core team members. Is this allowed according to forum rules? Some of our members are based in different geographical locations. is it okay if they login and use one account from different ips and location? Need guidance from forum staff

Is this allowed according to forum rules? Some of our members are based in different geographical locations, is it okay if they login and use one account from different ips and location?
I need guidance from forum staff if it is not too much asked.

Is that why you defend Wapinter that much, because you are directly involved here, because you are a member of their team?
Or is there another reason why you have posted the (almost exactly) same thread?
You do not have to answer if it's making you feel uncomfortable.

Temp banned all of his unbanned accounts and extended the ban on the banned one.
If you don't mind telling, how long are Wapinter and Wapinter Bounty Portal banned for?
I have strong expectation they'll be back with one of their alt accounts (or another new account) before those bans are lifted.
264  Other / Meta / Re: Who hosts Bitcoin Talk? on: June 21, 2018, 08:03:10 AM
It is owned by Cobra.
I've adjusted my post, I was searching for updated information on the domain situation, but couldn't find any, thus I went with Sirius.
Regardless, the answer to the question asked by OP stays the same, theymos controls the server and hosting.

Slightly off-topic, but you should stop advertising Arbitao: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4486941.0
265  Other / Meta / Re: I see we still have the nazi moderator here on: June 21, 2018, 07:48:14 AM
Although I don't know achow101 on a personal level, I am fairly confident he is is a nazi.
Freudian typo there, QS?
I suppose that should have been "is not" or "isn't".
266  Other / Meta / Re: How does one start their activity on Bitcointalk? on: June 21, 2018, 06:14:57 AM
If you would have read the Newbie - read before posting thread, you'd know.

Quote
How is forum activity calculated?
Activity is calculated with the following formula:

Code:
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is increased by staying logged in or by posting and is updated every 30 minutes. There is a maximum of 14 activity points every 2 weeks.
267  Other / Meta / Re: Who hosts Bitcoin Talk? on: June 21, 2018, 05:34:04 AM
Cyrus is the responsible for the domain name and is also an admin.
Sirius != Cyrus

The other administrators are grue, hilariousandco, mprep, rickbig41, Saltspitoon
(global) moderators, not administrators.
268  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Auction 24 hours 1oz Gold Bar Pamp Suise sealed on: June 21, 2018, 04:40:02 AM
I didn't download the veriscan app, but using a QR code reader on my phone I don't see any serial number info for the bar.  Took me a few seconds...  Be careful.
Can confirm, no serial number to be found in the QR code.

269  Other / Meta / Re: Who hosts Bitcoin Talk? on: June 21, 2018, 03:47:45 AM
As head admin, theymos is in charge of hosting.
As owner, usually sirius is cited, as he controls the domain bitcointalk.org

Edit: Seems my information is outdated:

It is owned by Cobra.

Bitcointalk.org:
 - Cobra has ultimate control over the domain name. [theymos has] access to the domain name settings.
 - [theymos runs] the server. Cobra has no access to the database or server.
270  Other / Meta / Re: Common shared account for bounty management allowed? on: June 21, 2018, 03:37:03 AM
I would assume that by sharing an account you are accepting the responsibility of everyone that logs into that account and any alternate accounts that you have or anyone that has accessed that account would then be considered ban evading. Otherwise it would just be too difficult to prove who the person was posting at the time of the ban.
mprep answered my question in another thread:

How are ban evasions handled with shared accounts. In a regular ban scenario, a user is banned (as a person) and thus all their accounts are banned.
If an account with shared access from users X gets banned, are all users affected by this ban, or is just the user that caused the ban (thus violated forum rules) banned together with their shared account.
If so, how is it determined which user is affected by/included in the ban.
AFAIK it's on a case by case basis. In this case, the primary owner of the account is apparent so he's the one responsible.
271  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: doubt when trying to send on: June 21, 2018, 03:25:27 AM
If you still have the seed from which your wallet originally was created, you can restore the wallet from this seed, at which point you will be able to spend the funds without requiring the services of TrustedCoins.
You can then send your coins to a wallet that has not been created with the 2FA feature and start spending them without paying any additional fees.

Reference: http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/2fa.html

Quote
Even if TrustedCoin is compromised or taken offline, your coins are secure as long as you still have the seed of your wallet. Your seed contains two master private keys in a 2-of-3 security scheme. In addition, the third master public key can be derived from your seed, ensuring that your wallet addresses can be restored. In order to restore your wallet from seed, select “wallet with two factor authentication”, as this tells Electrum to use this special variety of seed for restoring your wallet.

Note: The “restore” option should be used only if you no longer want to use TrustedCoin, or if there is a problem with the service. Once you have restored your wallet in this way, two of three factors are on your machine, negating the special protection of this type of wallet.
272  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: doubt when trying to send on: June 21, 2018, 03:18:53 AM
That's correct, the additional fee is taken by TrustedCoin, which manages your 2FA wallet.

You should have seen a warning like this when creating your wallet:

273  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Penny™ SILVER on: June 21, 2018, 01:52:12 AM
Yes, doodles by Chris are signed with a plain C.
You should add yours to the overview/collection thread, people over there are already waiting for the new batch of doodles going out with the silver pennies.
274  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature Campaign ★☆★ (Member-Hero Accepted) on: June 21, 2018, 01:28:46 AM
Payments have been sent (e1ea39a5821503bc054ddff60096d3be93dc24aa6d4b5b95565a107d4f6aab98).

This was my original address and I would like to use it back to get away with the transaction fees.
I can also pay to a bech32 address instead of a p2sh one, which further reduces transaction fees for you.

Hello Lutpin. What about new enrollment? How we will get know if we were accepted?
As the BitVest campaign is filled for your rank, switch to 777 and I can enroll you.
275  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ Bitvest.io - Plinko Sig. Campaign ★☆★ (Member-Hero Accepted) on: June 20, 2018, 11:47:02 PM
Well, that was one hell of a wait, I'd like to apologize to everyone who had to endure this delay. I know it sucks.
Plese bear with me while I count the posts and prepare the payment, there's over two months worth of content to go and read through.
276  Other / Meta / Re: [Ban Evasion] Wapinter (u=527272), WBP (u=2094446) [& btvGainer (u=550869)] on: June 20, 2018, 11:40:28 PM
Why are you avoiding my questions? You only answered one, and even that you didn't fully answer, you evaded the core of the question.
I've asked you WHO has control over WBP, not how many. I've further asked what the account is banned for and who is responsible for the ban.

Questions above unanswered are:
Why did you start new bounties while being banned, when you only evaded your ban to ensure ongoing bounties and their participants are not being abandoned.
Why did you post ANN threads (assumingly get paid for posting them) while being banned, was this necessary and essential?
277  Other / Meta / Re: Ask about ICO scam on: June 20, 2018, 11:37:02 PM
Note that, most of the bounty managers are paid weekly for the work they do or as a whole at the beginning of the campaign. Hence they continue their work, unless they are not getting paid.
How do you know that, what are you basing your assumptions on?
278  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinect.com (ICO) - The Master of Illusions and Misleading Advertising on: June 20, 2018, 11:27:50 PM
I think the focus of every scam exposing thread is on me.
You're in the focus of those you were advertising/managing a campaign for. I think that's reasoned, since you have been connected to those.
I didn't see you being brought up in a scam accusation you were not involved with the project being accused.

Instead of finding ways to prevent scam ICOs just neg rate their manager. But will it stop scam ICOs?
Holding managers responsible forces them to research what they are advertising for.
Should they during that research find out the project that contacted them is a scam, they can start a scam accusation themselves, thus stop the scam ICO very early.
(ideally before a bounty is started/funds are being collected)
I do think that would help, yes.

Should not we be concentrating more on finding ways to prevent scam ICOs instead of putting all blames on managers?
I'm not putting the full blame on the manager, I'm saying they do hold some responsibility other than just counting posts and submitting payment information.
(I am a manager myself and I am ready to take a certain amount of responsibility for my actions and decisions, something you seem to try to evade whenever possible, well, evasion is your speciality, isn't it?)

Cross-posting from the other thread, since it explains my position:

Managers should do a minimum of research before they accept a position.
Participants should do their research before they start advertising a project.
Investors should do extended research before sending their money anywhere.

Just because the managers do research, doesn't mean participants should not do their own research anymore (I have discussed that recently with mdayonliner).
Likewise, a manager cannot take themselves out of responsibility by claiming all research has to be done by participants, they should do their own due diligence as well,
as they put their reputation on the line with the positions they take on.

If all three groups (mangers, participants, investors) of people do sufficient and independent research, scams can be found and stopped way earlier than right now,
because the more people check a project, the more likely bad apples like these get found both quickly and reliably.

Currently, third parties that have nothing to do with either group have to point out problems to the managers which then only react, at a point it might already be too late for participants/investors.
279  Other / Meta / Re: Common shared account for bounty management allowed? on: June 20, 2018, 11:21:54 PM
How are bans (and subsequent ban evasions) handled in case of such shared accounts?

Bumping this old thread because the account created by OP/their friend is currently affected by such a ban,
and I'm unsure about the ban evasion happening as a result.
280  Other / Meta / Re: [Ban Evasion] Wapinter (u=527272), WBP (u=2094446) [& btvGainer (u=550869)] on: June 20, 2018, 11:18:59 PM
I never bump any thread but I feel it is my responsibility to keep bounty participants updated thats why I post on those threads.
And it's also your responsibility to start new bounty threads while being banned?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4492377.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4477491.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4462726.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4453171.0

There might be more, those are only the ones since June 10th (I assume WBP has been banned in the first week of June, correct?)

Why post ANN threads on behalf of others while your WBP account is banned? Someone else (who is currently not banned) could have posted that.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4457817.0

If you were only evading the ban for the sake of keeping already started bounties updated and doing the right thing for your current participants,
then why accept new offers and start new threads while you are banned? You could simply refuse the position, saying that you are currently unable to start new campaigns/accept management positions.

Please also note I created Wapinter bounty portal account after one of my friend posted this on my behalf https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3603094
Who are the people that have shared access to WBP? What reason did it get banned for, and who was the one in control of the account that caused the ban?

Question for the moderator that eventually reads this thread:
How are ban evasions handled with shared accounts. In a regular ban scenario, a user is banned (as a person) and thus all their accounts are banned.
If an account with shared access from users X gets banned, are all users affected by this ban, or is just the user that caused the ban (thus violated forum rules) banned together with their shared account.
If so, how is it determined which user is affected by/included in the ban.

tl;dr: Does Wapinter get a free pass to evade their ban here due to the fact they gave access to their bounty account to other users or are they held responsible for the actions made in their name?
