I used to think that you could buy bitcoins online from anywhere in the world, regardless of your country. Withdrawing to bank could be done by the exchangers, guess I'm always learning new things.
You can't buy it with PayPal because hardly anyone accept it to sell bitcoin.Bitcoin exchange is the best way to buy bitcoins if you want safe and smooth deal

Many people in the community are saying that Ethereum will eventually overcome bitcoin.
I don't actually believe that it could be happening, but would like to hear your opinions.
Please explain your answer!
Bitcoin is far ahead than ethereum.Btc has larger user base and many related online business run completely on bitcoin.Ethereum or any other crypto can't even come close to btc

I have a problem in explaining bitcoin to people in Hindi.I dont know the Hindi equivalent of many words like cryptocurruncy, peer to peer etc I was wondering is there a easy way to explain Bitcoin to someone layman who doesn't understand English?
well i can make a guide in hindi because i have too seen many peoples dont know english well.so that guide will help then to come up with bitcoin and even with others altcoin too That would be great but the problem is how will you translate some techincal words from English to Hindi? For example how would you explain blockchain in pure Hindi?

A flat million dollars for it... Would you like to have it @theymos? But yeah, I'll have to first sell off my property for that. BTW, as far as I can guess, he won't even accept the offer of 2 million dollars right now. He'd take even more than that. I wish I could buy this forum but I dont think theymos would sell it.Anyway hypothetically speaking if I had to make an offer to theymos,I would offer him amount equal to 10 years of forum revenue

It is a common knowledge that Satoshi created bitcoin,if in future he claimed his ownership on it and move the court to seek legal interference in getting back all coins in circulation or stored, what would possibly court rule?

I am not aware if this option already exist but I would like to suggest adding an option to view'Thread started by me/member' under profile info. There's an option to see own posts but not own thread
This would be ok but not really needed. If someone post in your thread then it will show up on the "new replies to your posts" menu. Our started threads are less than number of post we made so sometimes we miss updates in our own threads in "new replies to your posts" menu

People used to talk about "losing sleep thinking about BTC all the time", and it wasn't just about money. We wanted to set people free.
In 2010/2011 Bitcoin was really exciting! Are you excited now about the Bitcoin project/economy? Why or why not?
When you find something new that interest you,it always makes you exciting. The excitement worn out with time.It is natural I think people who have just find out bitcoin will be experiencing the same excitement now

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Percentage of addresses used
|
on: March 25, 2016, 10:31:39 AM
|
As other have said, the possible amount of Bitcoin addresses is a lot - around more than the number of sand we have on Earth. I believe, It is possible to know the percentage of used Bitcoin addresses but it will take sometime. A lot of new addresses are created everyday by mixers and payment processors etc. However I do not think we have or will reach 50% anytime soon.
Yes, thats more than the more than the number of sand we have on Earth. Bitcoins addresses are being generated everyday and there is no likely hood of any storage of them. So this is something need not to be worried. I assume op wants to know when will we run out of bitcoin addresses or he might considering to generate as many as he can in a hope that he would star selling them once there's a scarcity of bitcoin addresses. After reading the above figures,he must have abondoned his idea

Although $50 is not a big amount but you can buy some bitcoin and keep an eye on its price. When the price goes 10% above from at what rate you bought. You can make 10% profit.Repeat it time and again

What to do when I was scammed by somebody from this forum?
Usually the scammers use throw away accounts or newbie account to scam and negative trust or even ban is not going to make any difference. But this should'nt prevent victims to bring their name to community knowledge.Anyway post a thread in scam accusation section as suggested here and be careful next time

Signature campaign is the best way to earn bitcoins, especially if you are a high rank, almost all signatures here pay more than 0.03 BTC per week (Senior and above). You should try it, you can contribute to the community here without spamming and earn bitcoins by doing so.
Absolutely true.Bitcointalk signature campaign is one of the best way to earn bitcoins, you cant earn bitcoin from faucets even in one year what you can earn with signature campaigns in one month. It should be placed on top of your blog as method to earn bitcoins

i would definitely not quit my job in order to go full on bitcoin because nowadays i can not make that much money with bitcoins only
to be honest if i had more ways to make bitcoin and make a living out of them only then i would go with bitcoin full time
Yeah but it is hard to get something that will make you full time in bitcoin. You will need a lot of bitcoins for trading or you will have some connection for some job that would pay bitcoin. Like writing for bitcoin or a Microsoft office related work. Unless you are a miner or someone with 10 of thousands bitcoin,it would be foolish on anyone's part to quit one's job for bitcoin. No doubt bitcoin is promising and is here to stay but still it is too early as Governments of many countries have not made their stand clear on bitcoin. If one leave one's job for bitcoin and bitcoin is declared illegal in his residing country,he would have no choice but to either leave bitcoin or his country.I dont think later would be easy

|
on: March 24, 2016, 11:23:08 AM

Yes, most of the BTC holders/investors waiting to cross BTC price above $1000 mark. But there are lot of hurdles for BTC to reach that price again.
I think it will dip up and down, but competition from other currencies, (and ones that do certain jobs better than Bitcoin) will hold back its steady rise.
The greatest hurdle for btc to reach $1000 are btc traders for they start dumping their coins at a slightest increase in price. But I think if more and more people adopt to bitcoin, its demand will increase and so its price. I dont think average joe care more about technical aspects of bitcoin

Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to 5000$ soon
|
on: March 23, 2016, 11:10:21 PM
|
Bitcoin will probably never get to 5000 imo. We're not even close to 1% at all, and if that were to happen, people would dump the price down to oblivion. There will always be a guy who dumps his bitcoin and kills the price. Of course I could be completely wrong and end up with a few thousand dollars in a few years. Only time can tell.
I partially agree with you.Yes it is true that when price start growing high, many people start selling their coins to make profit but it is also a fact that high price brings many new users to Bitcoin.I think the highest number of people adopted bitcoin was when btc was $1000.So price rise can sometimes further escalate the demand

Sounds ponzi to me. If it asked for money for an investment yet you need to work for it to earn it back is a ponzi to me. I remember there are already ponzis doing these crap back then but we'll see. Has anyone here in bitcointalk had invested and had already earned?
I agree. If any site ask you to pay for registration or any thing else a promise you to earn money,it is definitely scam or ponzi.Giving money to earn money is a foolishness to me
