2001  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Indicator: Number of sites accepting bitcoin on: June 22, 2012, 10:15:20 PM
If you call a coding offer "trolling for money" and not having any takers after a few days "unsuccessful" then sure...

When it is in response to a call for volunteers, absolutely.
I did not read this

Oh, and the best thing would of course be, if someone could actually write a prog that counts the entries automatically and keeps them up to date, making me redundant
As a call for volunteers. I apologize.
I dont think you know how to do it
I don't think you're really Bill Cosby Wink

2003  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] GLBSE hot wallet empty, withdrawals delayed on: June 22, 2012, 06:04:37 PM
I don't understand, why post this here? When you have issues like this you're supposed to keep them on the down low until enough people start complaining, and then blame them until you have time to resolve the situation. Geez, you brown nosers are going to give everyone else a bad name. Tongue

LOL sorry I found this funny Smiley.

Yes, +1  Thank you for being open and public about issues. That is very important to many of us.
This ++ Smiley

This is relevant to my interests Smiley
2005  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] MOORE: Mining Bond Beating the Moore's Law (With Coming Great News!) on: June 22, 2012, 05:53:56 PM
The key is to invest in mining companies, not bonds. Isn't it obvious that the value of 1MH/s will always go down? On average, the difficulty increases and the block reward decreases. MOORE is nice because it's a deterministic bond which will always increase its hashpower, but there's also things like Cognitive, which is about to double its hashpower.

I'll do it for a BTC commission Smiley

Huh  This guy is doing this of his own free will... he's looking for other volunteers... he's not looking to pay people to do something that he's doing voluntarily.

How the heck does that make sense?

I will write a professional-grade multi-platform script to automate it for a commission...

Heh, fair enough.  My comments still apply.  He can't pay for it, but if someone donates it, that'll help this effort.  If he doesn't have money to pay others to do his work, what makes you think he has money to pay to automate his work?
For one thing, it would be a one-time investment. For another, it doesn't have to be him who pays. Remember when the community pooled funds to pay some guy to retype the entire FBI report?

Also, unsuccessful trolls are unsuccessful.

2008  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitFloor.com Rocks! on: June 22, 2012, 01:58:30 AM
Hmm... I wonder if we can get Goat to bring his arb bot to BitFloor.
I'd make one myself, but I just don't have the volume to bootstrap it.
2009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] The world's first handheld Bitcoin device, the Ellet! on: June 22, 2012, 01:46:08 AM

Now ads are being be displayed in the separate sandbox, where parent's window forced redirect is not possible to perform.
So, you're not doing anything to help Firefox, Opera, or Internet Explorer users?
From a webdev standpoint, it's very tempting to only support Chrome, but it's most profitable to spend countless frustrated hours trying to get IE up to 2005 levels.
From an ideological standpoint, I'd only use HTML5 and CSS3, then wait for everyone to support the goddamn international standards.
From an end-user standpoint, I use Chrome (over FF) because I'd rather have more HTML5 support and forego random stuff like APNG.
I'd switch to maxathon if it was faster and I liked its UI better

2011  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [DEPOSITS] CIUCIU'S GUARANTEED WEEKLY TERM DEPOSITS at 2% on: June 21, 2012, 11:23:04 PM
What I meant by "unsustainable more slowly" is that Pirate will be required to have more coins than can ever exist after 3 weeks while holding 1M BTC, or 2 years while holding 10 000, but ciuciu won't hit the ceiling until much later. Since he's set a maximum on deposits, I feel more comfortable.

2013  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Daily Speculation Poll] :: Everyone has a price, or do they...? on: June 21, 2012, 10:29:00 PM
I don't plan on cashing out. I want my bitcoins to be useful, goddammit! I'm only putting money in. I buy things with them and I invest them. Why would I cash out to an inferior currency? Only because I wanted to buy something only available with that currency... and like proudhon I sure hope that when Bitcoin reaches its full potential, I will be able to buy almost anything with bitcoins.

2015  Economy / Lending / Re: [LENDING] 20 BTC available @ 10% per week on: June 21, 2012, 09:18:34 PM
I'll give you some BTC for half that rate! Grin
2016  Economy / Lending / Is this site legit? on: June 21, 2012, 09:02:56 PM
Has anyone heard of mybitcoinbank.de? It seems to offer good rates and it claims to allow inter-person lending. But the real question is, "is it a scam?"

Edit: topic locked because the site is gone. Make a new thread or request that I unlock it via PM.
2017  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [DEPOSITS] CIUCIU'S 100% GUARANTEED WEEKLY TERM DEPOSITS at 2% on: June 21, 2012, 08:13:34 PM
My depositors can answer you better than me. I can't tell you how I invest my funds, sorry!

How are they 100% guaranteed?
I can also say that my deposits are 100% guaranteed, but that wont be true, because if smth will happen to me\pirate they will be lost.
Pirate also says that they are 100% secure, what is the difference?

The difference is diversification. 7% is scary and unsustainable. 2% is unsustainable more slowly, and ciuciu has a limited capacity. Of course I also have funds with pirate; I'm greedy.

Does the word "or" belong in that sentence?
2019  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am developing this: http://www.pyramining.com/ on: June 21, 2012, 08:02:24 PM
I am interested in signing up to this to give it a go via one of the referrals, but would be interested to hear some real examples of the sort of returns people are seeing, is there a 'minimum' investment in BTC people are making that makes it worthwhile, e.g. 1BTC, 10BTC? Or can I deposit any amount and keep topping up as I mine my own coins (I think the 10% referral bonus only applies to your first deposit?)

I have the same doubts  Huh
It would be nice if people who have invested placed their status of investment here like "is really growing! +12%"
or at least a thumbs up
I am 2% through reward completion and everything seems fine. Also, my referral link will net you 10% bonus Wink
Here's one; leave your own below to let the pyramid grow.
