I wonder how much of a problem it would actually be to have a few scrooges who keep hoarding shortcoins, more and more and more shortcoins, and "never" selling them?
It wouldn't be a problem if the longcoin and shortcoin were themselves baskets, as I said above:
(((1 BTC) + (15 LTC)) + (1 BTC - 15 LTC))

The problem I see with that basket is, what the heck is a negative fifteen litecoin? Some kind of debt instrument?
The parenthesis are very meaningful. There is no negative fifteen litecoin. Here are the baskets:
Code:
Longcoin
    1 BTC
    15 LTC
Shortcoin
    1 BTC - 15 LTC
The longcoin can be split; the shortcoin can't.
1004  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Usagi: Simple contract violation on: October 14, 2012, 04:35:09 PM
What the hell?

I will now reiterate that Nimda's accusation in the OP is total bullshit and this thread should be closed by a moderator.

See, this is why you are an idiot. This thread is now an ongoing discussion monitoring your progress.

No, it's not. Nimda made a bullshit accusation based on a post which had been retracted. It had strikehrough (i.e. [ and s) around it. He edited it and posted it here. It was total bullshit. This is not "NOW" some other accusation. The accusation he made was crap in and of itself as well. Nimda doesn't even understand what he was quoting. Nimda's scam accusation is a classic case of trolling. Think; it's been open for quite a while and a mod hasn't even asked a question about it? Second point, GLBSE is gone and so are all my companies. So this thread is completely and utterly meaningless.

Lets see if you can pay your debts.

I have a better idea. Let's see if you can stfu and mind your own business.

The quotes I quoted have not been edited in any way, excepting the fact that they have been truncated and I've added some emphasis.

Any moderator with access to logs can see that usagi's addition of [s] tags happened AFTER this thread's creation date.
I will not be posting again in this thread until a moderator denies this fact or requests more information from me. I have gathered the facts pertinent to this thread to the best of my ability, and it is up to the moderators to decide what they believe is the best course of action.

Thank you all, have a nice day, and enjoy watching the Stratos freefall.
1005  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: NCKRAZZE's Deposits - Low Risk Deposits with Guaranteed Payback Weekly @ 2.5% /w on: October 09, 2012, 01:42:35 AM
Do you still not have those 400 BTC? I can retrieve them from the private key for a small fee of 15 BTC, which will be deducted from the ~400 sitting there. This seems to make much more financial sense to you; you'll have many more than 2.23 BTC once you send me the private key.
1006  Economy / Securities / Re: Is your last Withdraw address on GLBSE the correct one? on: October 09, 2012, 01:31:37 AM
My last withdrawal from GLBSE was for 5BTC to btc-e.com

You, at least, should be OK -- I've re-used deposit addresses for btc-e
1007  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE is offline We will update our users on Saturday. on: October 09, 2012, 01:25:41 AM
Boy, this should be a hard lesson. If we as a society are to shift to an anarchist society or even a decentralized economic system, we need to take advice from that sticky in the Newbies section and Trust No One.
1008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Thai Baht (฿) has always been the most frequently used Bitcoin symbol right? on: October 07, 2012, 11:19:12 PM
What about mobile browsers? They represent a growing portion of the market, and some of these symbols don't even show up on the Galaxy S3.
1009  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Let's have a little fun then, shall we. on: October 06, 2012, 10:16:55 PM
Done.  Use the address in my signature.

I dont see it?

I do...

I'm not sure which you mean, but both the ad phase and an address are in my signature.
On most browsers, the signature cuts off at 42px (3 lines).
1010  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: NCKRAZZE's Deposits - Low Risk Deposits with Guaranteed Payback Weekly @ 2.5% /w on: October 06, 2012, 10:14:12 PM
I was just pointed here. Haven't read any previous posts but I know the what has happened.

Has NCKRAZZE payed down debt at all? Have payments stopped?

I have made a payment of 200 BTC so far. I am working to make payments every month until I have paid back everyone's principals.

As for the blockchain issue, I just redownloaded the blockchain and I still have 2.2722 BTC
In that case, please send me the private key. Once I make a payment from your address, I'll send you 5 BTC.

TangibleCryptography has purchased the signature for Oct 11 - Nov 11 at the same price of 0.7 BTC.

Inquiries should be made via PM.
1013  Other / Politics & Society / Re: So how about that debate? on: October 06, 2012, 05:22:20 PM
Obama got his a$$ handed to him!! Tongue
To the masses, that's what it looked like. To anyone who actually listened to it though, it was more like:
Mitt: I'mma cut taxes
Obama: OK...
Mitt: I'mma increase military spending
Obama: Hmm...
Mitt: That's gonna balance the budget
Obama: Wait what?
Mitt: 768 Billion and 32 Cents, bitch!
Moderator: We're over the time limit
Mitt: Shut your whore mouth when Mitt Romney is talking!
Mitt: My numbers from government2u.info say that Obama is bad!
Mitt: I'm gonna balance the budget by bettering the economy

Meanwhile, unemployment has dropped to under 8%.
1014  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: NCKRAZZE's Deposits - Low Risk Deposits with Guaranteed Payback Weekly @ 2.5% /w on: October 06, 2012, 05:18:21 PM

Try exporting the private key and importing it into MultiBit, Electrum, or the Blockchain.info My Wallet. If you really believe that you only have 2.27 BTC on that address, I'll buy the private key for 5 BTC.

Make sure he sends you the private key before you send the 5 BTC.
That's the plan
1015  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Usagi: Simple contract violation on: October 06, 2012, 02:14:46 PM
because he felt that insurance should cover the cost of the premium -- a totally ridiculous concept. He supported it wit some kind of theory .. staked capital, that was based on a twisted form of opportunity cost.. and he wouldn't shut up.
Again, my model (not theory) correctly evaluated the risk of different bonds. It was mathematically sound, and I invite you to attempt to prove otherwise.
Quote
He got very personal over it. I had to ban him from posting in my threads because he was that much of a problem. I am seriously not suprised to see him come up with some bullshit scam accusation against me, just in an attempt to kick me when I am down.
You're the one getting personal. Correct math is never personal.

Can a mod lock these threads please?
Absolutely not.

What was the model?
This is rather off-topic (thanks usagi), but the model is posted here: A risk/reward analysis of insured pirate: YARR, PPT.X, GIPPT, Hashking, Goat
A more accessible explanation of the model is posted later in the thread: A Pirate-Pass-Through paying MORE than 7% Weekly!. It is mathematically equivalent to the calculations done in the first post; simply replace "exposed capital" with "lender B."

It does not factor in counterparty risk; that is for each investor to decide individually.
1016  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: NCKRAZZE's Deposits - Low Risk Deposits with Guaranteed Payback Weekly @ 2.5% /w on: October 06, 2012, 02:09:39 PM
So let me get this straight:

There are clearly a considerable amount of bitcoins in the wallet that your investors paid into:
432.2722932 BTC
http://blockchain.info/address/111mamKazi1ofZ854rKTcAxhTVuGDPhhL

And yet you are claiming that you're "empty".

Please explain who now has ownership of these funds and address.
Please explain why those funds are not being distributed to your investors.

Incorrect, my current balance is 2.2722932. I do not know why the balance is inaccurate there.
Again, re-download the blockchain. It's much more likely that your client is faulty than both blockchain.info and blockexplorer.com are.

Try exporting the private key and importing it into MultiBit, Electrum, or the Blockchain.info My Wallet. If you really believe that you only have 2.27 BTC on that address, I'll buy the private key for 5 BTC.
1017  Economy / Services / Re: Curse/Blessing on: October 06, 2012, 03:52:15 AM
Spoiler alert: I don't think very many people will be seeing money from GLBSE.

As I've said, the effects of the curse are over the forum as a whole, and I did not enact it upon any specific member. As a result, some of you may get off light. And some of you may only THINK you've gotten off light.

The best part about this troll thread is that you haven't gotten a single donation yet! You can't curse a market... well you can, but it'll never stick.

I was going to donate for the entertainment value, but then I realized that no donations is much more impressive than "a few."

GLBSE has been closed

I'm sorry to inform all our users that GLBSE is no longer able to continue operating, and has now closed.

Q: What does this mean if I'm an issuer?

We will do everything in our power to make the process of moving off GLBSE as smooth as possible, we are currently working on a simple, safe, and easy to use method that will allow you to continue your relationship with your asset holders

Q:I'm a GLBSE user, what about my assets and my bitcoin?

You will be able to get back your bitcoin, and if you want to reveal your username, email, and a bitcoin address to accept payments with, you can continue your relationship with the issuer of any assets you hold.

We will begin retuning bitcoin once we have recieved all coins from the GLBSE treasurer that manages the GLBSE cash reserves. BitcoinGlobal (GLBSE's partent company) shareholders and board voted for them to be returned immediately, we are awaiting compliance with this order.
1019  Economy / Services / Re: Curse/Blessing on: October 06, 2012, 03:30:49 AM
Ahem. GLBSE. I almost feel like apologizing.

How many more 1,000s of Bitcoins will be lost before you see the error of your ways and pay my ransom. 20 BTC until Monday. A bargain compared the ruination in your future if you continue ignore me.

GLBSE hasn't lost anyone's money, its just going to be a major pain in the ass. I've still be doing VERY well since your curse came out. I got a date with someone way out of my league, I've made a very large sum of $ through playing the markets, I've found some very good deals lately. Everything just seems to be looking up. Does this mean that, I'm the anti BTC or something?
I for one pulled out of GLBSE days before it imploded. Seems I've been blessed.

As part of its ongoing efforts to blablabla and all that, MPEx is happy to offer interested users the following arrangement: any forum participant with a post count of at least 100 who changes their signature to

Quote
BTC doesn't care about the SEC. MPEx rules!

will receive his post count * 0.001 BTC at the end of one month, provided he doesn't switch his signature in the meanwhile.

Please post here with your new signature so we can have dates. Include payment addy in that post.

And last but definitely not least: Bitcoin is here to end government. Not any particular one, just absolutely each and every last one of them. To work!
Hmm... 1200 * 0.001 = 1.2 BTC. My sig sold for 0.7 BTC last month. Just 1 week until I can change it.

Too bad about all those facts...
