Could easily hardfork and ban the 51'ed coins. It's a shitty thing to do, but so is 51% attacks.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [HYP] HyperStake | Generous Reward Staking | Advanced Staking Controls & Wallet on: June 07, 2018, 02:20:23 PM
the reason you see it more with hyp is cause its stupid hard to stake hyp because of the competition on the network. your box's time is one of the easiest things you can tweak to be more competitive and receive less orphans

depending on what os you are using, you can do this via ntpd or timed. I quick search yielded this nice article on the two

https://eclecticlight.co/2017/10/27/has-anyone-got-the-time-how-high-sierra-has-changed-time-synchronisation/

whatever you do you want your timeserver to be as close to your physical location as possible.
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coss.io 4 months and no coins on: May 31, 2018, 04:16:37 PM
Yes 12th not 15th (dummie sorry)

and yes, the first thing I did was email their support (as it was the only official option at the time)

5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Coss.io 4 months and no coins on: May 24, 2018, 06:01:49 PM
Jan 15th 2018 instigated withdrawal from coss.io for BPL

https://imgur.com/a/wpPK1

and has been stuck ever since.

I've tried telegram

I've tried their so-called freshdesk support

https://imgur.com/a/6YwMoTH

All to no avail.

Not holding my breath on recovering said coins, but an FYI to the rest of you to use extreme caution when doing business with coss.

gonna guess you are using windoze?

might be worth a shot to setup ntp

https://www.meinbergglobal.com/english/sw/ntp.htm#ntp_stable

though I can't say i've ever heard of someone needing it on that platform
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [HYP] HyperStake | Generous Reward Staking | Advanced Staking Controls & Wallet on: April 11, 2018, 09:18:10 PM
It started early this year, suddenly lots of orphanes at times 9 out of 10 rewards.
After try and error I was forced to block all incoming connections.

-system clock gets synced every 30 min.
-only POS coin that has this problem.

Anyone else got this problem ?

I've only seen it when my clock is out of wack.  And it was generally 3-4 times more stakes then normal.  But all orphans.
It's very weird that it suddenly started to happen after running for years without any problems.
Also using a different PC gave the same problems.
Only sollution seems to be to block incoming connections but then it seems I pick up a lot less rewards as I normally would.  Undecided

has anything changed in your network?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ⚫️ BLOCKPOOL - Real World B2B Blockchain Solutions ⚫️ on: March 23, 2018, 02:26:01 PM
there is a faucet somewhere to test the wallet ?
was asking because i wanted to test the wallet :
cryptopia wallet here:
http://bplexp.blockpool.io/address/BBkdB21btF8bW3ReVc6b67KQkssKnnBeMd
working and well funded , tried to send to coss wallet 1BPL and worked , tried to send 0,1 and seen after that the fee
for a transaction is 0,1 BPL so no transaction on chain. still i can't understand how all the movements exchange make
can be repaid with the fee they request cryptopia say 0,01 and are all 0,1 on chain.
Coss  receive well the coin will see for the desktop wallet if all is ok.

There is no faucet that I know of and the testnet is currently down for a reset. Sorry.

coss is a train wreck and I would recommend avoiding doing business with them. I have had bpl stuck there for over 90 days and only very recently  heard from their so called support only to go quiet again.

cryptopia is not a lot better, but folks always get their coins in the end with varying wait times. they seem to be at least trying to sort their backend problems out.
10  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia turning into a scam? on: January 10, 2018, 05:30:48 PM
Problems still presist as withdraws appear to be selective... ie I've had BTC go out lightning quick but now have two stuck BPL withdraws.

Course it goes without saying that they cannot disable markets and coins to maintain a stable platform... that would cut into profits. Instead the end user suffers. Just another day in crypto.

anybody knows BPL price during ICO (in usd as well as btc) ?

.075 USD... I'm sorry I do not know what that was in BTC at the time
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In your opinion, whats wrong with the current Crypto-Community? on: October 02, 2017, 04:38:45 PM
biggest problem with this community; people have lost the real point to, and potential of having a true p2p currency.

whats the point in creating an alternative to the worlds greedy bankers' fiat if we ourselves become the greedy bankers.

And its enough to break one's fucking heart.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ⚫️ BLOCKPOOL - Real World B2B Blockchain Solutions ⚫️ on: October 02, 2017, 03:57:04 PM
Hello I'd like to confirm that I finally received my token
http://bplexp.cryptooz.com/address/BRWDPBTfWwn4e64eS3SGy2bH7yHkDYKnj6

thanks to the dev team will continue to support this project and hopefully, in a year time we'll be in the top 10 in coinmarketcap

I can also see in the blockchain explorer that my address received the bpl tokens but in my desktop client theres zero transaction. I dont understand, this is my address on the explorer http://bplexp.cryptooz.com/address/BJA7kGjxsK4EnUNkC42EGFUJZNSYa5VAuD but when I open that same address in my desktop client there is no transaction.

BLOCKPOOL is a project that I'll not take seriously and did not participate in ICO, the tokens were sold at many cheap prices, what regrets! It's rare to find a project with people totally involved and willing to deliver the best! When will we have the mainnet?

Yeah, Loko and the crew are working like crazy.

I've had luck solving some goofy behavior from the desktop wallet by backing up and removing the data directory on windoze

Code:
/Users/Your_User/AppData/Roaming/Blockpool Desktop/

and then restarting the wallet.

Permission to post and forgive me for being annoying I thought they are distributing bounty, I pm both the campaign manager and developer but surprised that I didn't get a response, what is really the update in bounty distribution

if you noticed, most bounties are distributed weeks after the distribution of the tokens to the ico investors. it has been that way for years already. the team may distribute it all when bpl will be listed just as how they did with ARK. if you plan to hold, you wouldn't hurry things.

Yes I understand that but they have not asked for a wallet and you will have to download and send them to the campaign manager or dev I have downloaded the wallet and send them both to manager and dev and very annoyed that I am not getting a response
