This doesn't seem like anything to do with HYP itself, but the Qt stuff's display part, and doesn't seem fatal, just a warning that it's using some fallback.

Yeah but i mean it launches fullscreen and i can't move my cursor, can't even close it. Would upgrading to qt 5.4.x (current version) and re building to the wallet possibly  fix it?

what OS? it sounds to me like your os is screwed up or misconfigured

a trick I learned early on in life when messing with REALLY hot stuff is to use a toothpick for dosing. ie, two toothpick dips to heat a batch chili etc etc

Anyone seeing the synccheckpoint is too old error?  We don't use a checkpoint server so I am going to delete this shitty line of code for the next wallet release.

Also I am going to be out of town from Saturday the 30th to Saturday the 6th, with little to no internet. Am giving the janitors keys to trusted members of the community while I am gone.

Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!

shiiiiiit yes! I made theymos an offer he couldn't refuse (OR I came up with a convincing enough method to confirm my ID that he was really lax on me. Did confirm that my account was hacked though which sucks. First time thats happened to me)

It looks like the spent weight per block is anywhere from 30k -250k with 150k looking to be the average (back of the envelope calculations).

I'm new in the HyperStake world and I saw that the wiki isn't update, so I change the value 4000 HYP with 150k HYP in this page : http://hyperstake.wikia.com/wiki/What_is_PoS%3F?action=edit&section=2
(Before, with the wiki I was thinking I was rich with my 10k HYP, but in fact not ^_^'' )

presstab was talking about the weight of 150k, not the block size. A block of 150k HYP will give 1,5m weight in 10 days.

Oh, ok, thank you, then what are the best block size now? Because a block with 10k HYP is on "medium-high" priority and a 3.5k is less (I don't remember what is written on the priority column).

Édit : I re-update the wiki for changing 150k with 4000, like it was before, but it's far from "the" good value now Wink

Try to experiment with a 10k-15k block size. It will translate into a 100k-150k weight on the 10th day of the block age. Sizes below 10k still apply but you'll need to wait more for your first stake.

Yes, I have all my blocks at 25k now and at day 10 the weight is ~250k. Almost all of mine stake within 15-17 days depending on difficulty.

499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DUM DUM GUM GUM - Take over - on: May 20, 2015, 01:06:13 AM
WARNING!

That's a known scamming technique by P&D groups.
Those guys buys lots of dying coins at 1-2 satoshis. You may see millions of them bought a 1-2 sats: https://yobit.net/en/trade/GUM/BTC

And then they make "takeover" to "resurrect" coin. And then guess what?

They dump the coin on you guyz! (Of course with at least for 50-100x gain).

Do you want to know how this scam works? There's a thread about it, check here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=882268.0

Final reminder; Never trust those scammer takeover guyz!

Do you have any proof we are scammers? Or do you just post in every thread and hope you are right in a few to say, "see look I was right"
Dox yourself as the dev.
If you don't dox yourself; then you're scammer as I wrote the above.

I guess if this is the support we are going to get then we will not take it over. We wanted to help out but I guess people like you would rather hate on everything.

awww, dont be like that. here, i will play along as the part of the sheeple

500  Economy / Goods / Re: More HOT SAUCE!!!! ALSO NEW TYPES! on: May 19, 2015, 08:39:19 PM
agreed.

Pex's heat scale is pretty accurate I'd say (coming from a hardcore hot sauce person)

The taco fuego I could drink from the bottle whereas the to the moon would send me to the hospital.

[edit] to add to that if you are considering a purchase, EVERYTHING I have bought from pex was super tasty and well worth the $$
