I remember there were several players who deliberately did not play at their best because they didn't like the coach. They played so badly that the coach was sacked for poor performance, it worked and I really wonder if that scenario was thought of by a handful of Manchester United players?
Getting the coach fired by management by implementing a scenario like that is considered successful because this strategy has happened at several clubs. As a Manchester United fan, I hope that doesn't happen and even if it is done for the better of the club, I don't mind.

If that exists, then I'm sure that in the end Ten Hag will be fired even though he managed to lead Manchester United to qualify for the current Champions League.
Manchester United is busy with internal problems. Maybe you already know about the issue of buying shares. It's possible that this will be exploited by a handful of Manchester United players who don't like Erik ten Hag. When the situation is like that, the successes that Ten Hag has achieved, such as bringing Man United through to the UCL, are no longer cared about.
Manchester United have been very inconsistent with their results since the start of the season and that has made many fans of the club to call for sack of their manager Erik Ten Hag as they think it's because of his lack of good tactical approach that has caused them the defeats they've suffered this season.
However, I think there's still room for improvement from the Dutchman. It's still very early days of the new season as we still have about 30 league matches to play. Unless Manchester United continues with their current performance, I don't think it's right to sack Erik Ten Hag now

Real Madrid seem more credible to me to play bigger this season. I'm saying this even though they had Benzema last season.

Because there is a much bigger progress in their performance compared to that season. Bellingham has changed this team a lot too but I like the team effort more at the same time.
Since Jude Bellingham has improved the formation of Real Madrid to be a better one, let Ancelotti not build the Real Madrid winning to be on Jude Bellingham the same way he did when Benzema was playing for Real Madrid. By January, Real Madrid needs at the very least sign additional strikers in case Jude Bellingham sustains injuries before or during a Real Madrid match.

Real Madrid would probably prefer to bring home either the LaLiga or Champions League title this season. That will fall on the entire team, not just one individual. The entire team should be prepared for the important games that are coming because it won't be simple for only Jude Bellingham to carry them through.

Real madrid is always well prepared to face any match. It doesn't even matter how strong its opponent is but madrid will always try to beat it, real madrid was the strongest team in the world after manchester city. It's also king of UCL.
No doubt if real madrid will always able to beat its opponent away or home. Real madrid is now having very good materials to win UCL again.

Just because this club has lost benzema and it doesn't mean if real madrid will not able to reach its golden time again. The entire team is ready to face another strong club in UCL. The only main focus to get a backup for bellingham.
I know this is the hardest task but it must be done by real madrid.

We don't know if bellingham can also suffer injury anytime.
Though Karim Benzema isn't still playing for Real Madrid, the Spanish giants have been stronger than they were last season. They're currently at the top of the Spanish La Liga standings as well as the top of their group in the UEFA Champions League.
Jude Bellingham has been in the form of his life and doesn't look like a player who's gonna drop from form anytime soon. Against Braga, Real Madrid are very likely to win the game as they're better in terms of quality players as well as in performance.

It seems this is just moral support being given to Paul Pogba and Rabiot has done the right thing for his teammate. However, Pogba's actions in this doping case clearly violate the rules and he will still be punished with a very long playing ban. Cases like this have often happened in the past but for some reason Pogba actually did this and maybe he has lost his passion for playing football due to frequent injuries. But that's also not something that should be justified and I think he should accept the consequences. For Juventus, they should be ready to let Pogba go later.

Juventus this season no longer relies on Pogba, who has only played twice. and I'm sure Juve is also preparing to recruit several names.
however there will be many responses shown to Pogba. and for those who have worked with Pogba, of course it is important for them to also provide moral support.

whether he can return to his professional football career or not. he is not in great fitness, often injured and now has a drug case. if he decides to retire, I think he closed his career on a bad note. let's hope he has time to improve his name before retiring.
But which club would be willing to accommodate Paul Pogba if he was unable to play football due to a 4 year ban? it's very difficult and even though he can maintain his body with regular training of course any club would have doubts because during that long time they didn't see Paul Pogba's progress in official competitions. So, for Paul Pogba's career at any club it seems like it has been closed for a long time. I think his career is over, it will be a bad memory for him and we should forget one of the talented midfielders who ended his career in an unsporting way.

Paul Pogba is even near to end of his football career and I think there is a chance for this place to get rested at this age because after the four-year ban and all that happened to this player, the are not many teams that can hire a player like him. Also, he can choose to play in the Saudi teams but hoping for top-level teams in Europe is pointless for players in this situation like Paul Pogba.

If finally it is confirmed that Paul Pogba has will serve a four years ban from all football related activities, then I think that'll be the end of his footballing career. I understand how the Frenchman will feel that his illustrious career will end such in abysmal way after all he did.
He's currently 30 years of age which means he'll be 34 when he's done serving his ban and as a player who has not played a professional football game in four years, it'll be very difficult to see a club that'll hire him after the ban.

Messi wanted more what his family needed and in the end he chose to enjoy life in MLS.
The reason for Messi choosing inter Miami and going to the MLS from the French league is more than just for family reasons. Yes Messi appreciates the interest of his family and Miami is a heaven for Spanish speaking people regardless there is more to this decision.

Leonel Messi would have earned far more in the Saudi Arabia, if he had chosen there but it will all end after his contract which at his age is very short. Rather Messi who already has a secured financial future still made a deal that would keep him earning for a longer time even after he leaves football, I think in the long run Messi made a better decision.
Messi would have earned more in Saudi Pro League even after his contract expires since Saudi Arabia will use him as representative for their goal of hosting World Cup in the future.
I know Messi preferred USA for family reasons and I respect that. Leaving in USA and being near South America is an advantage that he considered too for sure. I think these reasons > others
The Saudi Arabian clubs offer more financial rewards that their American Major League Soccer counterparts do so it's absolutely out of the box to think that Lionel Messi chose Inter Miami ahead of Saudi clubs because of what he stands to gain financially.
The Argentine superstar wanted a new challenge away from Europe after leaving Paris Saint Germaine last summer and deemed the MLS as his best destination. Messi chose happiness ahead of money and that I think should be respected by all.
2385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: October 16, 2023, 05:33:54 PM

Messi would be 39 by the next world cup and he is yet to make an official statement as regards if he will be playing in the world cup or not but then people are still speculating his appearance in the next world cup and hoping that will be his point not retirement, but then I think Messi would really want to participate because he may be too old at that time to participate in the world cup games but then if we see him participate then that's fine but if not it's not a problem too.

I think Messi will still participate in the 2026 World Cup but he will not be Argentina's key player at that time. I think Messi will have a very big influence on Argentina's young players. I think the existence of Messi, who is considered equal to another Argentinian football god, namely Maradona, will really increase the confidence of Argentine players and will increase their winning mentality. Messi's performance may decline physically, but mentally Messi is the best for Argentina in the 2026 World Cup.

Messi is still in a good form and I think that 2026 FIFA World Cup will be his last of his career but who knows what can happen in such an unpredictable tournament like the World Cup,remember the final of 2022,France had not shot on goal until the 73th minute and Argentina was comfortably leading yet in the final stages of the game they even risked to lose the cup.The teams will surely be better prepared as the weather is different in USA,Canada and Mexico compared to what it is in Qatar, the heat surely must have made some players not give their 100% so I think Argentina can still rely on Messi for another last World Cup and hope for the best.

I know that by the next World Cup, Lionel Messi is going to be 39 and Cristiano Ronaldo is probably going to be 41/42 if I am not wrong. But I still want to see these two play for their own country in the World Cup final, to be honest. Maybe it is just me. Maybe it is just my emotions talking. For the longest time, I wanted to see the World Cup being lifted by Lionel Messi. now I have seen that happen.

Now I do want to see Cristiano Ronaldo lifting the World Cup trophy as well. I don't know, maybe it will not happen. But it would definitely be really something to see. And Lionel Messi playing the next World Cup, I think he will play, but we know that he has already won the World Cup. So he will probably be more interested in being a good substitute player instead of a player who will play the whole 90 minutes.

I think it's time for us to pass and don't think about players like Ronaldo and Messi playing the next World Cup in 2026 because there are many other younger after they can even have the chance to perform better than these players.
Also, these players chose teams like Al Nassr and Inter Miami which meant they accepted the fact that they were not in good form anymore. Letting these players play in the next world can't be a good idea at all.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi has played in five different editions of the FIFA World Cup which I think is very okay for the two players to take a bow from the competition. Ronaldo will be 41 while Lionel Messi would be 39 when the next edition of the world cup will take place in three North America countries.
Though not totally impossible to see the two players in the tournament once again but I think it's very unlikely to happen

It seems Liverpool started searching for alternative options for Salah because they know there is a high chance for him to leave Liverpool for the Saudi team and even during this summer Salah was very close to signing a contract with the Saudi teams, Liverpool knows the Saudis can hire Salah in the end and that's why they want to hire Leroy Sané to fill the pale of Salah for them.
If this happens for Leroy Sané and Liverpool, Manchester City will also take benefits from this deal because if they sell Leroy Sané Manchester City can take 10 percent of the deal.

https://www-thisisanfield-com.webpkgcache.com/doc/-/s/www.thisisanfield.com/2023/10/report-claims-leroy-sane-is-no-1-option-to-replace-mo-salah-its-nonsense/

Mo Salah has always wanted to leave Liverpool even before the start of the Premier League. Right now, he must have communicated it to Jurgen Klopp about his desire to leave The Reds.
The offer from Saudi for MO Salah was so tempting, I knew he was gonna leave. He didn't force it amd I loved how professional he has been with the management of Liverpool. He has brought happiness to Liverpool fans since he was signed for the club.

Leroy Sane? Wow!
He seems happy with Bayern Munich. This can only imagine completed if Liverpool qualifies for the Champions League.

Leroy Sane is a good palyer but after choosing this palyer, Liverpool accepted the fact that they were about to lose Salah and this is not good for any team to lose their legendary palyer. Because even if Salah stays in Liverpool after being offered a huge amount of money he obviously lost his focus for the next games and the best thing to do for this palyer is to leave.

After a Saudi Arabian club approached Mohammed Salah in the summer, he accepted he'll join the Saudi League of only Liverpool will give their consent and asked the Saudi club to ask his current club for their permission which Liverpool refected and that was a clear message that Mohammed Salah is very open to join the Saudi League anytime soon.
So if Liverpool wants to replace him with Leroy Sane, it'll be a good move as the winger is very much active and in good form.

It looks like the group leader in Group C has already been decided.  Grin  Because getting a win in Naples was going to determine the leader in the group technically for Real Madrid. Because I expect Real Madrid to win all the remaining Braga and Union Berlin games ahead above all else. After that I guess that Real Madrid wouldn't surprise me by losing the lead to Napoli in Santiago Bernabeu.  Smiley

Real Madrid seem more credible to me to play bigger this season. I'm saying this even though they had Benzema last season.

Because there is a much bigger progress in their performance compared to that season. Bellingham has changed this team a lot too but I like the team effort more at the same time.
Real Madrid is having a great season, right? It's like they switched on and became a powerhouse. After the win in Naples, they seem to control Group C. Yes, I'm betting on Madrid beating Braga and Union Berlin, but football can deliver curveballs

Their season performance amazes me. They seem to have changed post-Benzema. I agree with your Bellingham assessment. He's so important to the squad, and Ancelotti controls him well. But it's a team game, and the spirit is strong. If this streak continues, who knows how high they'll go?
Real Madrid have already beaten Union Berlin and Napoli and the next opponent they are waiting for is Braga. Actually, Braga's quality is still quite good when compared to Union Berlin, but still, if Braga uses the same strategy as Union Berlin against Real Madrid, of course they will still lose. Against Real Madrid is not an easy matter, whether the team defends completely, Real Madrid will continue to look for gaps to score goals and that is why they are still very consistent until now.

Braga must have the courage to attack and if they can take the lead first it can put pressure on Real Madrid. But I doubt whether Braga can take the lead first, they can maintain it or not because we know that comebacks are a habit carried out by Real Madrid, even these goals can be scored in minutes of injury time. Talking about how high Real Madrid will go, of course it will be until the final round and I think everyone knows that.
Braga who's won one and lost one of the two UEFA Champions League games they've played so far this season will be playing at home to Real Madrid next week Tuesday. Though not impossible, but it'll be very difficult for them to stop Real Madrid from taking all three points from that game.
Real Madrid's attacking players who were initially injured are back and boosts the option of players to chose from when playing against Braga and considering Real Madrid's quality and their current form since the start of the season, I think they're gonna win at Braga
2388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 16, 2023, 02:43:06 PM
I think Osimhen deserves a better club than Napoli no matter what, he can play in other big leagues whether it's the EPL, Bundesliga or Laliga where of course there are many star players who have experience there and create new experiences for Osimhen to play, it's a shame too if he doesn't improve at Napoli, Napoli look less good now than last season.

Osimhen must be able to make decisions for his future, if he wants to be more popular he can move to a club in another European league, talking about Rudi Garcia, actually he is still relatively new to coaching at Napoli, he needs time for the players to adapt to the coach, so in my opinion it is a bit lacking. It's fitting that Osimhen moved just because of Rudi Garcia, because I think Osimhen deserves to get a new club to look for new experiences to boost his popularity which might fade at Napoli.
Osimhen will consider the decisions he makes in the January transfer window. He doesn't have to rush to move to another team because if his new team experiences big problems in developing their performance, of course it will have a big impact on his performance. I'm sure if Osimhen wants to look for a stronger challenge maybe he will join a Premier League team. Last season, Newcastle United expressed their interest in Osimhen and it is possible that they will court him again in the winter transfer window.

However, the situation could change because if Napoli succeeds in persuading Conte, He might choose to stay with Napoli in the future. because a change of coach might make him more comfortable with what is happening to him at the moment.
A club like Napoli doesn't deserve Victor Osimhen if you ask me because they've not actually protected the Nigeria international's interest in many occasions despite the fact that he's always playing out his heart for the club whenever he's in action.
Firstly, Osimhen is supposed to win the best player in the Italian Serie A last season after his very impressive performance for the club as his goals helped to the club to win the scudetto for the first time in over 30 years. Recently, the club posted a mockery video of the striker in the club's social media account and the club couldn't tender a public apology. If he leaves in the winter transfer window, I'll be happy to see that happen.
2389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 16, 2023, 02:37:17 PM

Mbappe is one of the most skilled players at the club so the club will never want to clash with him. What happened when the transfer window opened I think the management forgot about these things, they are only planning for the games ahead and planning to use Mbappe properly as long as he is at the club. Mbappe has contributed to every match PSG has won in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, so there is no doubt that he is the team's most important player. Despite the extension of Mbappe's contract with the club, there are rumors that Mbappe may leave PSG next season.

In my opinion, Mbappe is a player who needs money and is chasing lots of trophies. And he really deserves both. Mbappe is the most frightening striker currently for opposing defenders and goalkeepers, on par with Haaland. Maybe PSG will always have the chance to win the League but what about the Champions League and other prestigious trophies? I think Mbappe will choose to leave PSG in the next transfer market.
Mbappe didn't even need money but he needs to achieve more achievements as many as possible. He never got what he wanted in PSG. This is also the main reason why he was also thinking to leave from PSG instead of stay even longer in the club. Mbappe had no choice other than leave from PSG to develop himself as a great player in this decade. In fact, many people are always supporting him no matter where he will be playing with. Mbapp needs to focus in increasing his experience and quality as a great footballers.
Mbappe has won world cup but he never won UCL trophy. Leaving from PSG will give him the right place to get trophy. I hope he will understand it and try to think about leaving from PSG to join in another club like real madrid.
As far as football is concerned, Kylian Mbappe is one of the most talented footballers in the world at the moment and his electrifying pace and speed whenever he's with the ball coupled with his ability to control the ball even when he's running in full speed is what makes him stand out from other modern day attackers. He has all it takes to succeed and become one of the greatest footballers to have ever graced the beautiful game.
However, I think Mbappe's current problem is the club which he's currently playing for and that's why he wanted to leave Paris Saint Germaine and join Real Madrid. It's been reported that the France national team captain has already reached an agreement to sign for the Spanish giants next summer which I think is what he needs to win whatever trophy he's never win in football including the UEFA Champions League title
2390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 16, 2023, 02:31:15 PM
Dortmund management focuses on certain players each season. And try hard to make these players experienced. Dortmund have a number of talented players in their squad. However, their overall squad performance is not very good. And when a Dortmund midfielder or striker joins a big club like City, Munich or Madrid, their performance becomes even stronger. The main reason for this is the strong performance of teams like Madrid and City. Their midfield and attack are also strong. This is why they get a lot of support from other team players. So naturally their performance becomes more dynamic. We see Haaland and Bellingham scoring a lot of goals.
Mainly it's because Dortmund management is more business minded than getting or winning trophies,Haland was in Dortmund and was given the attention and much needed training so as to keep his value up enough for them to make good profit from his sales which was what they achieved, so these players tend to thrive better at othe teams because at Dortmund they were training.
Mentioned it in ones of my post few days back that Dortmund has now looked like a breeding ground for good brilliant and young talent, a we have seen this play out in most of the season. Where they train players and sell them off , if some of this players were to be in Dortmund till date I think they would be stronger than Leverkusen or Munich
Currently they may be focused on some players who will be potential means to increase their pockets by the end of the season that's why how well this players shine in Dortmund isn't much of a problem to them but they make sure the players get so good enough to be marketable regardless they will still perform well by mid season and be sure to finish amongst the top five teams.
No matter how business minded the Borussia Dortmund management wants to be, they should know that Borussia Dortmund should've been one of the strongest clubs in not just in Germany but in Europe at large.
I think the club should stop the policy of always selling their best players to another club but rather they should build a strong team that'll be major contenders for German and European competition in coming years from now. We must break the deadlock

Dortmund management is keen to make money by selling players. They are not interested in building a strong squad. We see almost every season that they have quite a few talented players in their squad. And the Dortmund management made a lot of money selling them within 2/1 year. This team has the potential to dominate the Bundesliga. But because of such business attitude they are not able to dominate the Bundesliga. If Bellingham and Haaland were in Dortmund's squad now, they would be able to break the defense of any strong team. However, this is not to be. The Dortmund management will not budge from their policy. They will continue their business. They are not interested in building a strong squad or winning titles.

Dortmund has a good team and they are not weak at all. Even after selling many young and talented players in the last years, still, Dortmund was always racing in the top side of the La Liga with Bayern Munich while they don't spend too much money like Bayern Munich.
Also, Dortmund is getting what they need, they are racing in one of the best leagues with one of the best teams while they are also making a good amount of money which is what they want,

The truth is that despite the fact that they're always selling their best players at the end of every season, Borussia Dortmund has a way of still performing well in the German Bundesliga. How they've managed to always finish the season in the top four position despite the selling of their best players remains a surprise to me and so many other football faithfuls.
However, I think they should've been more competitive in not just the German Bundesliga but also in Europe have they kept some of the big players that's left the club. The club's management is for a fact making good profits with their transfer policies but football is more measured by the number of trophies a club wins than the amount they make in profits.
2391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 16, 2023, 02:25:08 PM

It is certain that Luka Modric will not be in the Real Madrid squad for long, the development of younger midfielders makes Luka Modric position even more threatened. Bellingham increasing performance has made him one of the irreplaceable midfielders in Real Madrid main squad.
Federico Valverde, Tchouameni and Camavinga also always perform well when given their trust, Ancelotti only rotates them in several matches by including Toni Kroos or Luka Modric. Modric presence is increasingly marginalized in the Real Madrid squad, now he mostly sits on the bench rather than being trusted to play from the first minute.

Imo, the development and regeneration that Madrid is doing is to make Modric comfortable when he leaves and not have anything to think about after he is not in Madrid uniform.
Age, which is the main enemy for athletes, cannot be avoided and Mordic is aware of that.

The longest he will be in the squad is next season and it is most likely until the end of this season but after his departure Madrid will continue with the regeneration of players that they have done in recent seasons so that he will not have a burden and will leave comfortably.
I think so too, Real Madrid's development of a new generation of young players doesn't threaten him, in fact he'll be happy to see a bright future for the team he's been playing for all these years. I'm sure he won't feel outclassed and I'm sure he'll give a lot of advice to the young players who will replace him, be it in terms of play, mentality or perhaps other things outside the game such as attitude and so on.
As a professional player, that should be the case, because it also has a good impact on this sport that is of interest to many people.

I doubt that Guardiola will let Haaland go to Real Madrid, and I’m not sure whether Haaland himself needs it. Mbappe dreams of playing in Real Madrid, that’s true, but his contract ends only this summer, until then it’s too early to say anything.

And I really doubt that Real needs a striker now, look at the form in which Bellingham is now, Vinicius and Joselu also regularly score goals, so everything is fine with Real’s attack. They would have to think about maybe strengthening Modric's position, but I also think Real Madrid's midfield is fine right now.

Bellingham is Modric's replacement. Vinny and Bellingham are not strikers, so Real needs a top striker. I think Haaladn can go to Real Madrid because it’s stupid to play in a team where you set records but the dick head coach says that you are not a better player than his favorite Messi. The compensation for Haaland is not so great - 173 million, so maybe Real will buy him.
The question is whether Manchester City will let this player leave, while this player has contributed a lot, even in his first season joining Manchester City. I think that could happen is unlikely, especially now that Real Madrid are closer to getting the signature of a Mbappe.
I also haven't heard any rumors about Real Madrid's interest in Haaland, but I also don't know because it could be that they move without being detected by the media so that the movement is silent.
Haaland is also only 1 season at Manchester City, I also believe he still wants to play there and give more titles.
Signing a prolific striker like Erling Haaland would surely solve Real Madrid's striking problems as well as help the club to replace their former captain Karim Benzema who departed the club in the summer a he joined a Saudi Arabian club.
But the main issue is will Manchester City be willing to let go of their most lethal weapon? And I think the answer will definitely be no. The Norwegian signed a long term contract with Manchester City last year summer and have just played one full season with them while scoring plenty of goals. They will definitely not allow him join Madrid in the summer no matter how hard Madrid tries.
2392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 16, 2023, 02:19:20 PM
Manchester City has taken an interest in signing Toni Kroos:
Manchester City appear to be looking for a veteran presence to replace Ilkay Gundogan in midfield. Spanish outlet Defensa Central reports that Real Madrid is targeting Toni Kroos as a free agent in 2024.
His contract at Madrid expires next June, and his age means he could negotiate with clubs outside Spain when the January window opens; if City join, they can offer a pre-contract deal to see him move to Manchester once his current contract expires.Kroos fended off interest from clubs in the United States and Saudi Arabia in the summer before signing a new one-year deal with Real Madrid, but that decision is likely to be tested by Manchester City afterwards. The same report in Spain suggests City is willing to offer Real Madrid a two-year contract for twice the current salary of £6.8 million.
What do you think, guys? Is that really happening, or is it just a rumor? Give us your thoughts.
Source

If Manchester City really hire this German palyer they can have the best option they can have for Gundogan. Because after Gundogan left the team, Manchester City couldn't find alternative players and now Toni Kross is experienced just like Gundogan to fill his palace if the middle of the field also hiring Kross can't be hard because he is not very happy in real MArid because of not having enough chances during this season, maybe even Rel AMdrid will release him easily for Manchester City in the next transfer window.

Toni Kroos at 33 years of age is still very much active and looks like a player who's still got a lot to give football and that's why I think the former Germany international would be a big threat to other English Premier League clubs if Manchester City succeeds to bring him to the Etihad next summer.
Manchester City already has a squad that is star-studded but has somehow suffered this season because of injury crises and the acquisition of Toni Kroos will provide Manager Pep Guardiola with more lethal midfield options to chose from when they're facing any opposition.

Stupid messi was not even choosing this quality league compared with garbage MLS. Does he scary to face ronaldo or what? It will be so good to have him join in al nassr's competitor. I think that messi was choosing the wrong choice by joining in MLS instead of saudi pro league.
Saudi pro league offers similar atmosphere like european competition at this moment. Im still hoping messi to change his mind someday. It will be so good to see messi vs ronaldo again like when those guys were playing for barcelona and messi.

Both players competed against each other for years in the Spanish La Liga. That's why I don't think Messi is running away from Ronaldo, but it would be best if they competed again in the same league. However, I agree with your view that MLS is a worse league than the SPL in terms of quality of competition. The teams in the SPL have made some great signings this season. If Messi had joined this league, he would have played in a better league and the quality of the SPL would have improved. Anyway, Messi and Ronaldo's rivalry is almost over. Now we should focus on the rivalries between younger players.
I'm a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo but I don't find it sensible to think that Lionel Messi rejected the offers from Saudi Arabian clubs and joined Major League Soccer side Inter Miami because he was avoiding to play in the same league with Cristiano Ronaldo nor was he running away from competitive football.
Lionel Messi has won everything in football and has the right to chose wherever he wants to play football and that shouldn't be attached to his rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo. These two players has graced our screens for the past two decades and deserves to be respected in any decision they decides to take and not to be dragged.

Belgium and Sweden will play today. The Belgians have guaranteed themselves entry to the Euro-24 finals. So I'm not sure they will win. Belgium is currently leading their group, while Sweden is in third position with 6 points. They won't be able to catch up with the Belgians, but they still have a chance to finish second in the group. The Swedes are seven points behind Austria, so they need only victories in the remaining rounds.

I think Belgium will not be able to win, they have no strong motivation, and the players will not want to get injured. And Sweden will actively attack all 90 minutes. I am sure that the Swedes will win.
Belgium who has already qualified for the European championship next summer plays against Sweden who are yet to book their place as they're currently in the third position with just 6 points after losing three and winning just two of the five matches they've played in the qualifyers. Sweden's really need to win the game today if they still want to stand any chance of reaching the European championship next summer. But that I think would be very difficult for them as they'll be playing the game in Belgium.
2395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: October 16, 2023, 01:47:07 PM
Children can gamble at an early age, but they need to be accompanied by their parents to avoid crossing their limits. But remember that they are still children and should not be introduced to gambling because they just want to play, and gambling is not a game for them. In the future, there may be a psychological impact on these children's growth and development because their road to adulthood is still long, and they still need guidance from their parents. That is why it is better for their parents not to introduce gambling to them and to introduce them to other things that are more useful for them at their age.
Gambling regulations have regulated the age limit permitted for gambling since children are at least 18 years old, so anyone who gambles under that age has violated the law set by the government without exception even though the child will be accompanied by their parents to gamble. You have explained the negative impact on children who are addicted to gambling, the negative data shows that the risk of underage children who are addicted to gambling is higher because they do not have self-control and they have to have their own income if they use money for betting.
Right. Anyone who gamble at a minor age will sure to be restricted from any legal gambling site, regardless if they have their parents to guide them. Otherwise, if the site go against with the law, it might be put into investigation until they will be restricted not to operate again.

However, gambling at the right age is still not enough to consider that he will be gambling responsibly. He should be oriented first on the risks of gambling, and how it can be beneficial when use as an entertainment and how it can ruin lives when used as a source of income.
Yes, that's right and the reason why official gambling prohibits minors from gambling is because the casino doesn't want to take the risk that one day it will be accused of illegal gambling because it accepts underage customers and I think this has also been explained by several users here and parents really have to be responsible. regarding their child's behavior to provide guidance to their child to stay away from any gambling and provide an explanation about the dangers of gambling and if that happens parents should not blame the gambling party because it is the fault of the parents who failed to provide insight to their own children.
For gamblers who are of a suitable age to gamble, there will be no guarantee that if they will gamble responsibly, age will not affect the adult mindset but it is all about principles If someone under age has strong principles, they will definitely have a big responsibility and not only in gambling alone even in all kinds of problems.
Most of the gambling sites and casino will always notify their customers that gambling is rated 18+ which is to notify all minors to desist from gambling. However, there are still underage people who merely looking at them, one can't be able to guess their right age because they've grown past their normal age. These set of people easily gamble in offline gambling platforms because they're not recognized as underage because of their very big side. Age is very important when gambling as minors are believed to be too fragile to make decisions when it comes to gambling and can't control their gambling habits.
2396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: October 16, 2023, 01:17:13 PM
I once read an article that explained someone managed to get rich from gambling, but not many people can do that. Those people gamble in land-based casinos. However, if we play on online gambling sites, I have never known anyone who can get rich from online gambling.

In gambling we may occasionally win but often we lose. And if we calculate the total then I'm sure we lost in gambling

Maybe someone can get rich from online casinos, just that the winnings they get can only be seen by the players themselves, so there is no information obtained by the media to be used as news. Meanwhile, in offline casinos, we can get information from what we see and the players' expressions when they get a jackpot or big win, so it is easy for the media and other gambler to make the win into a news.

think about this, if you experience a $200,000 win from an online casino and at that time you are alone in your house. would you tell people family, friends or anon people in social media if you won $200,000 and invite the media to create article about your win, or would you just keep quiet?
The truth is that a lot of people have successfully become rich through gambling be it in online casino and offline gambling platforms but what I think should be considered by anyone who wants to get rich through gambling is to firstly analyse the percentage of people who were able to get rich through gambling.
Gambling isn't something that one should get engaged in with the motive of becoming successful through it as it would make the person to always want to gamble more even when he's not winning which leads to becoming a gambling addict.
2397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: October 16, 2023, 01:01:36 PM
Returning to the Super League with a derby match will be really exciting. Maybe Fenerbahçe can benefit from this match week as well. But I doubt Beşiktaş a lot in this derby match. Because they are going to be the away side and their current condition isn't very good. They are having tough days recently.

After Şenol Güneş has got sacked I wonder what they will do with Burak Yılmaz in this temporary time period. I see Aboubakar performing really great these days so Galatasaray would need to focus on defending him strongly.

I think that Galatasaray are highly favourite side to win this derby match for now.
Besiktas who has already lost two Turkish Super Lig matches so far this season travels to their neighbors home ground for league match this Saturday and just like bookmakers had predicted, I don't think they can get a good result from the game. Galatasaray has been in fine for since the start of the season and were even able to beat a big team like Manchester United away from home in the UEFA Champions League competition.
The best result that Besiktas can get is a draw in that game because Galatasaray would definitely want to win the game by all means.
2398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Latest Game in my Country: Bottle Flip on: October 16, 2023, 12:49:33 PM
This is just a children play and not a real gambling. Bottle Flipping is just a game of fun which children and any interest led adult can us e it to pass time and not for any gambling. Though in the process of having the fun, money can be use to challenge each to know who is perfect in the flipping. And whenever bottle flipping game is played people use to stay behind and watch who is the best flipper. And nothing more.

Therefore we should not take all fun games as gambling.
Bottle flipping is widely accepted as a children's game but that's currently not the case at the moment as a lot of adults now play the game not just for the fun of the game but for the gambling purposes. I've seen group of adults who converges to stake money and whoever flips the bottle and sees it stand straight wins the round. It's been adopted by many adults here as it isn't a new gambling method again.
2399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: October 16, 2023, 12:27:51 PM
It depends on the type of record to keep when it comes to gambling discussions like this, what is the benefit of keeping a record that will always bring tears to one's eye if all you had was a perpectual records on losses, there's nothing to encourage one in this than add up to depression because the records aren't enticing to keep, share or see oftentimes, but when we have some outstanding moments with gambling experience, we couldn't wanted to afford loosing these moments with putting them into archive for remembrance, such are good for this purpose and not all we have are disheartening records of losses.
In my own opinion, keeping record of gambling activities in both winnings and losses is very essential for every gambler in other to regulate his their gambling activities.
There are some set of people who has never been lucky enough to win in gambling despite spending huge to win and keeping records will help them know that gambling isn't favourable to them which might make them to quit gambling instead of betting more and still losing more money.
2400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Drake's Curse. on: October 16, 2023, 11:47:37 AM
Now, the big question is this.... Is Drake being funded by Stake.com to make these huge bets, because he is an affiliate and a brand ambassador for Stake.com.  Huh

The same thing apply to his occasional gambling streams, where he gives away tons of money. It is one thing using your own money, but paid streamers are playing with casino money.

Will we ever know what happens behind closed doors.... right.  Tongue

I’m sure Drake is compensated by Stake. I don’t think that is really a question. Drake probably just bets the money they pay him. Even if he loses he gets a decent rake and I’m guessing he gets a % of users that sign up clicking his name or during certain periods when he’s got Stake in the news. I feel like when it comes to Drake the real money for him would be in the referrals.
Drake is a global influencer who happens to be influencing for Stake and I think he receives some certain compensation from the loses he does include in those big stakes that most times worths millions of dollars.
Again, the fact that we only get to see receipts of his losses doesn't mean that he's always losing all his stakes. Probably they don't make public the ones he does win and that's the work of most influencers.
