The highest balance is around 400,000 BTC, but that balance may be several owner's wealth grouped together in something like mybitcoin.com

Similarly, one owner may own several of the high-balance addresses.

The advantage of OpenID is that you may not even need to sign up: it's entirely possible you already have an OpenID account (possibly without realising it). If you have, say, MySpace account, WordPress blog, Steam account, TypePad blog or Launchpad account then you'll already have an OpenID account. Check the list: there are lots more OpenID providers I've not listed, and the Wikipedia list is likely incomplete.

Ah okay, thanks.

I don't.

What are the betting limits?
Any bet from 0.01 is accepted.

I don't understand how you can run this without having a maximum bet size.

Let's say there are 6 million BTC in circulation, I own 5 million of them and decide to throw them all into Double Trouble... You can't pay me 10 million BTC if I win.

Crazy example I know, but you still should set a maximum.

e.g. If I bet 10,000 and win, can you afford to pay me the 20,000?

It's instant, anonymous and irreversible

You probably shouldn't tell people that Bitcoin is anonymous. It could lead to careless transactions.

Why OpenID?
It makes things easier for me.

It turned me off.

I'm not saying OpenID is bad. I'm saying I don't know anything about it, and couldn't be bothered learning, so I didn't sign up to your site.

Just letting you know because others might feel the same way.

Aggression is the initiation of force. To say "the initiation of aggression" is to say something redundant.

I'm a spelling/grammar nazi and a keen student of linguistics in general... Where do I send you a tip for this enlightenment?

Sent.  I figured we needed a non-scam to counterbalance all the April Fool's jokes.

Good idea... I've matched it with another 1btc... Your lucky day Atk.
1369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ron Paul and bitcoins on: April 02, 2011, 07:22:37 AM
"I have no idea" because I've never heard of Ron Paul.

Isn't he a drag queen from the 90's?

1. I didn't see this thread until it was too late.
2. I'm not (yet) a member of the witcoin forum.

Maybe try giving a bit more warning next time.
1371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Micropayment Needs Can Bitcoin Fill? on: April 02, 2011, 04:44:47 AM
There have been cases where someone has closed an account with a utility provider and had say $0.02 still owing on the bill. Despite the low amount, this gets stuck in the system and generates multiple bills being sent out, then $20 late fees and overdue notices in the mail, eventually getting blown way out of proportion, because noone takes their initial 2c bill seriously.

I use Windows XP (just went from sp2 to sp3 a couple of weeks ago, living life in the fast lane)... I can see that Win 7 would be good but have never found the right time to upgrade.

Also, if they still can't be removed yet, can they be renamed?

If I supported using violence to achieve my goals, I'd be pro-government.  Roll Eyes

What if the 'goal' is to keep strangers from entering your house?

Also, I can vouch for bbulker's batch file.  There is nothing malicious in his program.

I want it to go far, but am sometimes a little afraid that it won't. However I also think that this fear is mostly irrational.

I have a few I use just for email and the front page either has a button on it or automatically redirects to the webmail login screen to save me time.

#6) Consider the competition:

Nooch:
Nutritional yeast, the pungent yellow vitamin B-12-filled flakes loved by vegans everywhere.
