The reality is that (3) doesn't raise any wages at all but rather makes sure that certain jobs don't exist. Instead of "minimum wage laws" they should really be called "forced unemployment laws" but nobody would vote for that.
Applaud. I'm reminded of so called 'slumlords' - landlords that pile 27 students into 1 small house, for $100 / week rent per student... If this is really so 'unfair', then why are the students there voluntarily paying it?

Well, by games I meant real games. Like BFBC2 or CoD:Blops.
If those are real then personally I prefer 'fake' games, but I'm sure I'm in the minority. Never even heard of the above acronyms by the way.

Also, I've had noticeably worse luck on Double Trouble than Bitcoin Toss.
Lulz, thanks but take time out from your shillin' for a while it's starting to get obvious

Game ID: 89dfd24c1745608f36fab43f106e7fda
I get a 10 A for 21 .. stand
Dealer has a 7 and draws a 7 for 14 after I stand and the game stopped there and said I won.
The dealer did not complete the draw to => 17 or bust.
Maybe because a BJ will beat any other 21, so he didn't bother? Hmm, guess he wouldn't need the second card either in that case. Well, a BJ beats anything in my book. Erm, okay back to the cards, people.

I can see them on Bitcoin Charts as unconfirmed but new transactions are confirming no problem. How can I find out what's wrong/more info? I can't find any info on Block Explorer with any of this info.
Nothing wrong apparently, it's just been a really slow day for free transactions. The worst I've seen in my 2 months bitcoin experience.

Um, I was thinking of more like a .cz.cc adress becasue they are free for life. I have also seen the link you posted and it made me think of this.
Well if you have followed the thread related to that other game, you'll note the comments that say 0.5 is too expensive. If you do a tournament, please make it a bit cheaper like 0.05 or 0.1. Ultimately though my decision to enter/abstain will probably just depend on how fun the game is.

Um, firstly check this out: http://pigames.dyndns.orgp.s. I've entered but am currently in 3rd place now... I might even get pushed out of the leaderboard before the finale. p.p.s If you'd like to buy the domain bitcointournament.com, it can be yours for the low-low price of 10,000 BTC.

Anyone else think if we break down from here (btc) we could touch parity?
Stop teasing. Parity would be heaven at this point.

Also, a javascript (or flash) countdown timer would be handy for aliens unfamiliar with EST.
Actually I looked up 'EST' on timeanddate.com and they must have detected my Aussie IP address because they just showed me Sydney EST.

And if you do take the route of having a balance on the site, you should make it optional to have an account. One beautiful thing about it is just having to enter a Bitcoin address and be able to play.
I have a few other domains, so it's more likely that I will just leave this one as is, then implement an additional login-style one which is almost the same, but with a deposit/withdrawal-type set up.

One other thing I might suggest, doood, would be reducing the number of confirmations required before payment is sent out. I haven't seen any double spending, and it's becoming less and less viable by the day (it really isn't viable at all anymore,) by the amount of miners. It's just annoying when I win a bunch of bitcoins, want to bet with them, and can't because I'm waiting for my payment.
Thanks, lulz
It only requires 1 confirmation of entry, then the next run of the updater script will send out the payment. The updater script runs every 10 minutes, so after your entry fee has 1 confirmation, you might have to wait up to an extra 9:59 after that. Perhaps to get around your issue I could just give you a balance on site, which you could then continue playing with, and then when you're done allow you to withdraw them.

I've had nothing but GOOD luck with this, wayyy better than Double Trouble.
My one issue however is that recently payments have been taking exceedingly long times to get accepted in a block (like 24 hours.) Anything you can do about this?
~lulz
I just posted about some of my own personal transactions taking 5 hours to get confirmed, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear it's happening between that server and other people too. I found this list, which shows all the transactions that are waiting to be included in a block: http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/I could set it to pay a 0.01 transaction fee, which would be inevitable at some point in the future anyway.

I think you should also write 'You're lying!' next to the '0-10' option.
I have one of the following amounts:
152.73 1527.31 15273.19

Well, I don't know what's going on then... they've been 0/unconfirmed for almost 5 hours now.
I've tried restarting with -rescan.
I sent another large transaction 100-ish about 50 minutes ago to test, and it now has 10 confirmations, but the 5-hour old ones are still on 0.
Might be time to start paying transaction fees.

...has anyone else noticed or it just my client and/or my blockexplorer cache?
Seems to have been more than 2 hours since anyone in the whole universe solved a block, although the difficulty hasn't changed since yesterday.

I looked at the list of other ideas and I think talking about the seizure of poker money is a good idea too... although I'm glad I voted for bitcoin.
Hopefully if it gets air time I'll be able to download the video somewhere off the net.

I've updated the main page with the current top 3 players and their scores/payout in place of the mochi widget until the display issue gets updated. Did you hardcode the 'payout' column of this table? The flash says the pot is 7.5 btc, so first place in the table should show 3.75, not 3.5.

i'm sure there's a point to this.
i don't know if this counts, i can't log into mybitcoin are those coins considered lost as far as this thread cares?
I don't think those coins should count... administrators of that site (present and future) would still be able to spend those coins. (i.e. They're still part of the total money supply).
