21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my Bitcoin when I die? on: December 14, 2021, 06:19:06 PM
Well this issue needs to be discussed by every bitcoin user bit no-one thinks about it.  As giving your seed phrase might be risky but what if you put it on a safe place and mention it in your will which much be disclosed after your death.
Yeah, every man who has enough wealth to be given to its beneficiary can just make its will, including the wallet name, passwords, seeds, etc. with the power of attorney.
But if you don't trust such way, you can just make your family members knows about your cryptocurrency thing, let them know where you pull all your holdings and how to access it.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUDS started against Bitcoin as asusual on: December 14, 2021, 05:59:33 PM
I have seen few post in the forum again which is portraying Bitcoin price in negative lights again and some are predicting Bitcoin will go below $40k
There are lots of them, soon as bitcoin drops, speculations are scramming left and right. They're not FUD but just speculations. That's pretty normal though, newbies tend to believe it as well some don't. Those who have enough knowledge and solid decision will remain and those who are in doubt will back off and sold off, the normal buy and sell in the market.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitsler's NWOBitcoin is a power hungry maniac. on: December 14, 2021, 10:37:21 AM
Maybe you can include the previous conversations on what he calls "trouble" about you on the chat to be fair. It's hard to make an opinion or side to another with lacking of info.

Regarding the issue, if the mod had mute you for several reasons then so be it, if you think the action is unfair maybe you can report it on the admin directly. I don't know if anyone here is related or knew this person you're talking but the community can't do about it besides its the mod decision.

I see you made a tweet about it and tagging bitsler, no response made by them so far.
24  Other / Meta / Re: My Affiliate Business Sales Page Was Deleted. Why? on: December 14, 2021, 02:00:12 AM
IIRC there are instances of exceptions of having referral/affiliate link on the OP, I guess that's related of freebitco.in, it was a quality thread and full of info regarding the topic and it wasn't deleted, it was held and even got questioned on meta for discussion. I'm still finding this thread.

Meanwhile, here's a thread of full of referral links made on 2012 and still up, 2019 is the latest reply, not sure for the links though
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=120757.0

On the side note, you can create a thread, and mention that they/people can check your signature space for the affiliate/referral link as it's allowed.

26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why should I use Kucoin over Binance? on: December 13, 2021, 06:23:58 PM
We can't remove that fact. If KuCoin also being mandated by the government, they don't have any option but to implement these rules, Binance at first tries to provide services with their clients without providing KYC but has limited daily usages. That kind of luxury still being enjoyed by people who are using KuCoin.

No update yet in regard to any KYC requirement, traders and investors still have that option to continue using KuCoin with limited
amount of daily transactions.
The only risk of having an unverified account in kucoin is they don't offer the same support in case of hacked, theft and fraud compared to verified ones. It was mentioned here

There are a couple of risks here. First, if the U.S. cracks down on people accessing unlicensed exchanges, your assets might get frozen. Second, KuCoin doesn't offer the same support to unverified accounts in the case of hacking, fraud, or theft. So proceed with caution if you're a U.S.-based user.
And I think it's not only pertaining to US users but for those who have unverified accounts.

Though I didn't checked Kucoin's terms related to this but if this is true (probably) then that's really a huge risk. I remember a hacked happened there but good thing kucoin refunded the affected accounts not sure if all of them though.
27  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Identity needed in the markeplace: the point from deceber2021 on: December 13, 2021, 05:40:40 PM
I wanted to ask if you know if it will be possible to trade on binance without having verified the identity.
Nope, all existing accounts that it not yet kc verified cannot make any trading-related activity only have the option to withdraw their holdings. As for the new accounts to be created, KYC is mandatory.
Your option is, either use binance and get KYC'ed, use other platform that can be use in trading while not having KYC but with a 1 btc limit (which is a good amount already if you're not that hardcore trader) withdrawal every 24 hours like Kucoin, but of course that amount can be changed in the future. Or use DEX but with low in liquidity.
28  Economy / Services / Re: Banning of Social MEDIA accounts on: December 13, 2021, 05:27:41 PM
Is there any other reason to do something like this other than to get rid of someones competition?
It's not really only about the business competitor (if that's what you mean of competition), but all kind socmed accounts if I read it right. Op maybe using the power of mass reporting here, though I don't think it will work if the accusation and proofs are not enough. But in the gray area of business related issue, this might be one of the ways to get rid of their business competitors on socmed.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 11 years without Satoshi on: December 13, 2021, 05:15:20 PM
Just say whatever you would like to say to Satoshi.
I still hold the idea that you avoid getting screwed after the wikileak accepting of bitcoin as payment and you left for good (great choice).

Anyway, please don't ever comeback and start suing your co-developers, advocates, and sue everyone on twitter who don't want to believe that you is you.

Have a good health and long live.

31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amount to transact on lightning network on: December 13, 2021, 09:17:13 AM
I understand Lightning network is meant to be for smaller day to day payment, fast and low fee etc.
But what exactly is the amount deemed small?
I guess google might help you out. I found this article from binance it says

There’s a minimum amount of Bitcoin you can send in a transaction – approximately 0.00000546 BTC.
I don't know if its really the fixed amount to transfer in the lightning network but that's 20~ish cents USD as of writing and it's too small to be considered. I guess there's no need to worry about how small the transaction is but how large and frequent is.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even want all your BTC to be anonymous. on: December 13, 2021, 06:18:47 AM
If it's one of the choice when exchanging btc to fiat, of course, why not.

One of the reasons why people avoid getting taxed is because of the percentage that authority take which is sometimes is injustice compare to other service people used.

When you exchange btc to fiat there's a fee, transferring it to bank account has fees as well, and then some authorities wants to declare people's holding, transactions involve in crypto is getting taxed as well. So you will get -negative balance after that.

People will say that its better than to ban crypto in the country but to those who experienced it a lot, it's a big difference.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bought $271 worth of Bitcoin in late 2009 on: December 13, 2021, 05:37:13 AM
People, I bought Bitcoin in late 2009. Please help me access them. I’ll give 500 Bitcoin to anyone who helps me get them! I feel like I used a PayPal service to buy them and I’m not 100% sure, but I know I had a debit card if this was possible. I bought them to buy something illegal at that time but never went through with the purchase. What illegal sites were available at that time and what wallets, what sites to buy with a debit card or PayPal? I know the last 4 digits of the card number that I used but I called the bank today and they said they only keep records for 7 years…
Unfortunately, bitcoin transactions is irreversible, if you already sent it to someone or anyone had access to it, then there's no way you can take it back.

As for the date, I agreed what mentioned above, bitcoin is worthless at that time at least in USD value.
34  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 13, 2021, 05:31:39 AM
I'd still like answers from Bl4nkcode as to why he agreed to break up the escrow agreement and allow the split of the money. Also, would like toi know the remaining balances bl4nkcode and crwth are holding.
This is the main reason actually https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5124375.msg56017192#msg56017192, to prevent the loss of the btc value.
I don't think it had break up the escrow agreement, the split of the funds is agreed to make more activities and causes, not only from one person (cabalism) and one place (near on him), that's why after the pull out of the funds, monthly activities had made.

As for the remaining balance it was mentioned by cabal, the 6000php on him will be used this coming december activity(ies).

The transactions moves as per the request of cabalism or the beneficiary.
- From escrow address directly to cabal or beneficiary (wallet address) that is agreed to received the funds (e.g. Croatian's Red Cross referred by marlbozaa)
- From escrow to my binance address -> binance p2p transaction (exchange to PHP fiat) -> my wallet (gcash) -> then send the amount eventually to beneficiary/cabalism account. OR from escrow -> my coins.ph account (exchange to PHP fiat) -> then send the amount eventually to beneficiary/cabalism account.

The second option is only applied IF the receiving account's available monthly/daily limit is lesser than the amount to be received.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin full integration in payment systems on: December 11, 2021, 07:19:15 PM
It's only a matter of time, but the main thing is instant transactions.  Several companies actually made it possible on conventional POS terminals, they instantly approve transactions without waiting for confirmation from the network, but there are certain conditions for a minimum commission.
That is where the need for the use of bitcoin lightning network to process the speedy and instant transaction, but so many companies may not be cool with that which is because of the inexperience to using Bitcoin lightning networks.
There are still many who doesn't know how bitcoin lightning network works, it's purpose and not all bitcoin wallets support lightning as well. So it will take time before people and companies use this very helpful tool/feature to enhance the speed of bitcoin transaction.
As for the speed matter people don't think we will experience an instant-like transaction on bitcoin network as it's not designed for that, but thanks lightning though it has maximum limit to send but that's still a huge help.

38  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: kucoin on: December 10, 2021, 05:56:08 PM
While Kucoin does not require their users to go kyc when depositing and withdrawing crypto, limited per 24 hours. Once you want to deposit USD/fiat using credit/debit cards or any methods that use fiat deposits, kyc verification is required.

I never used kucoin's fiat deposit before, but this article may help https://www.kucoin.com/blog/kucoin-launches-fiat-account-for-crypto-purchase-with-usd-deposit
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukrainian oligarch is mining Bitcoin on: December 10, 2021, 05:26:38 PM
[...] The farm, which is located in Kolomoyskiy's steel factory, is estimated to be making 80 BTC per month. And since Ukraine still doesn't have working crypto regulation, the oligarch could be easily not paying any taxes on his profits, on top of getting unfairly cheap electricity.
[...]
I personally don't think that this has any implications for Bitcoin, in Ukraine or globally, it's just curious to see how these boomer oligarchs are surprisingly savvy enough to recognize an opportunity for profit and quickly set up a large scale mining farm. It's probably no coincidence that it happened this year, after China banned Bitcoin, so Kolomoyskyi probably got a good deal on those ASICs. Maybe this isn't the adoption that we want or need, but it's still adoption.
Well, oligarchs will be of course always be involved on this type of business especially if there's no tax or lesser tax to pay from their side.

I have also thoughts that there are lots of them running such business everywhere in the world where crypto is not yet regulated and not yet banned since it will benefit them a lot, just not yet revealed.
