601  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seed phrase security question on: June 19, 2021, 03:42:16 PM
What I actually do is write the whole 21/22/23 words put it online (not recommended by others which is true) for easy access and put the missing word/s out in a safe place. Ofc, you can do what others said, but that just me, did that since 2017.
This is also a terrible idea. One word can be brute forced in seconds, and even three words can be brute forced in under a day with good hardware.

Just write it down on paper like you are supposed to.

I'm with o_e_l_e_o on this. This is a terrible idea, only exception being unless you created well made air-gapped encrypted storage with absolutely ZERO fuck-ups in the process. Hopefully you actually do know what you're doing.
Ye, I get that. That's why I said it's not recommended, but it work for me.

But the way I put it online is not just obvious labeled file "my recovery seed" or anything similar that is crypto related text. So, no one would know it's something like that. And no one will randomly brute force to guess on such file content that has more than 24 words written on it (well, I guess?)

But ofc, I have one written on a paper, but still the same process, just the 21/22/23 words and just put the remaining online for an easy access. If ever that piece of paper got burned, lost, wet or etc. Well, that's for a guy that has no permanent address/house.
602  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you use BTCPay Server, don't you? Why? on: June 19, 2021, 09:17:18 AM
Once someone asked for suggestions about selecting a payment getaway, I suggest they use BTCPAYSERVER always. I discourage using any other payment getaway which isn't under the control of Merchant means private keys aren't controlled by Merchant.
Blockonomics is the same, merchants only need x/ypub,  though you need to rely on the payment status from blockonomics server for callbacks to merchant's website to process the order/payment that's why they ask 1% payment per successful tx after their first free 10 tx.

But ofc, btcpay is on different level and its the first option for recommendation.

604  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do we do when a campaign is discovered to be a fraud on: June 18, 2021, 07:30:06 PM
This is the first time I'm seeing ranked members applying for a campaign managed by a newbie.
Who ever manage the campaign and its rank doesn't really matter, there are lots of instances that newbies managed campaigns due to the fact that it cost them (project) more from getting one yet they successfully get the trust of their members after a week or more, sample the bestchange.

What really matter is, how the funds will be secured so the participants will get paid. Then the campaign manager, if the accepted participants causes spam in the forum and it didn't stop after some warnings, some instances DT give red tags, that's why its recommended to hire CM if the project team cant handle it properly. This is the same on some instances that even the project is known as worst both service and CS, if the campaign manager is reputed and trusted, then its exempted for red tags, like yobit before.

But if the campaign is known as scam and fraud, automatically it should be stopped or else accept some cons, whoever is the CM and its participants.

It could be better if you just write it down and be quiet about that, memorizing such info could be bad just what others mentioned above.

606  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius Coin 1BTC on: June 17, 2021, 07:47:00 PM
I have a 1 BTC Casascius coin and want some advice.

What would the the average price be for this coin in BTC?

Is it worth putting it into a crypto exchange and earn interest on that, or should I keep it closed?
In the collectibles board/forum, people do an auction starting 1 btc (since its 1 btc cas), with an increment you decide. Since its limited, every collector there really want that piece, even the bitcoin price reached $100k, there are still collectors who will buy for 1 btc for that, trust me Cheesy

The time you transfer your funds to an exchange, that means that you fully trust the exchange, considering such amount and your personal info will be asked. You should consider also that you will no longer fully control of that funds. Regardless the exchange is trusted like binance, there are still users got an issue and locked their account together with their funds.
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much power does Elon still have over the crypto markets? on: June 17, 2021, 06:05:43 PM
Elon is so much a like mcafee pumping shitcoins, but so much power since he's just one of the richest guy on this planet. But unlike mcafee this guy has focused only in doge which really is for memes where everyone is into it.

The whole crypto space is so much hype after elon start tweeting and even started to invest bitcoin, IIRC from 20k to 60k (there are lots of aspects not just from him though), but now since he take back that decision, almost everyone starting to hate the guy.

613  Economy / Speculation / Re: Opinions according to the current market situation on: June 14, 2021, 03:16:00 PM
Bitcoin breaks 40k again looks interesting to me than the rest of the days.

Rest easy, there is always time for pump, you may not like the current market but there are lots of traders making profit out of it, but ofc there are some unfortunate trying their best to gain, its there money after all.
614  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Transfer from binance.us to binance.com on: June 13, 2021, 06:53:06 PM
I guess receiving funds to binance.com from binance.us platform is okay it just like a normal transfer, but not advisable on your situation coz they might locked your .com account once detected.

But you could at least send from binance.us to an external wallet you own like electrum or trust wallet then send it to binance.com for your trading purpose, though consider the transaction fee when you transfer from external wallet to binance.com.
615  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino on: June 13, 2021, 01:04:00 PM
<snip>
What if the site set their withdrawal fee high just to make the transaction faster? Well that could create trouble since many gamblers doesn't like to pay such huge fees for their withdrawal thats why I agree that we can choose to set our fees depends on the speed we want since this one could save us money for each transaction we made. But don't set in the lowest amount since you can experience a long time delays of confirmation so better go with normal to avoid further problems.
I believe most online casinos nowaday sets the transaction fee on the medium or sometimes for others to high transaction fee as fixed transaction fee for the user's withdrawal. They're doing it because they think users do not want a very long wait of confirmation for their withdrawal. Even so, I think it is much preferable if users can set their own transaction speed for their withdrawals.
But the thing is the deducted transaction fee is too high than the recommended fee that's why its not recommended to withdraw for smaller amount not unless its urgent.
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: British Man Duped out of $282,000 in Brutal Crypto Scam on: June 13, 2021, 06:59:21 AM
People who want to enter the crypto space need to know that they face a myriad of dangers and inconveniences.
Only if every person who enter in this space knows the basics and understand the essence of crypto/security, surely victims like this will be lessen. But no, they only care, greed, and imagine the gains they will get, that's why they end up like this.
617  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustadice – Next Generation Dice on: June 12, 2021, 07:56:10 PM
bustadice was the first site i actually won the most and the only place i actually played. but recently seems like the place is pretty empty, as i remembered it use to be pretty active in chat, but now you see rarely see 2-3 people chatting and only to beg or to stay active for any rains. rarely see daniel online.

What is the reason for this,
[...]but what went wrong due to which things instead of growing have reduced a lot and now left with limited users?
Lots of aspects why it happens, and may be some other gambling sites happen to experience it, and bitcoin price falls really have an affect for this.
618  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com Honey potting to get high rollers...giving a deal and removing the on: June 12, 2021, 04:29:01 PM
I was just playing rollbet for one day and spoke to their vip manager Name " razer " who is also co-founder of website
From the words you wrote, it seems that you are lying, Rollbit you wrote Rollbet, impressive.
I bet it's just a typo, yet razer recognized the convo and debunk all the misunderstanding of their previous communication, which align to op trying his tricks.
619  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: My Bitcoin Balance not showing - 2021 on: June 12, 2021, 04:09:46 PM
I don't think that's the case.
The article you shared says that if you enable IP restrictions, you can log in to your account only from a certain static IP address and you can't log in with other IP addresses at all.
According to the image posted by OP, he/she has logged in to the account.
Ye, that's what I observed but never heard such issue before and never get an answer in the internet or in the blockchain.com support page, only that article related to ip address. That's why I think it could be.

But OP feel free to message their support you may get enough info and get helped.
620  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: My Bitcoin Balance not showing - 2021 on: June 12, 2021, 03:54:02 PM
Seems you enabled ip restrictions, enabling that feature is only helpful if you have static ip address, in the case you get different ip address from your isp you will encounter this.

To request/reset it you may follow this steps https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000896083-I-enabled-IP-restrictions-but-my-IP-address-changed-and-now-I-m-locked-out
