Hey, I'm not old but I'm closer to old than young. I was fortunate to get into the stock market early and even a couple ipo's which led me into real estate etc. so now I'm in crypto, follow it, read it still trying to figure it out. Anyway, although everyone is now talking Bitcoin I think this story has sent a message about saving and investing to younger people. I don't think speculation is a good lesson but the ability to do more with ur money than spend it or gain no interest in a bank account is a good thing and I only learned it by listening to others as I was making my way.
I don't think btc is the answer to everything and it could even crash, that would also be a lesson, but the US population in general does not save a lot of money, perhaps this new development could help change that.
Being involved in bitcoin at a younger age is a great opportunity for them to start investing for their future.In todays generation most risktakers are those younger ones and very open to internet or social medias that can be used in this kind of business.Lucky enough to know business at a young age so that as early as today they will know the importance of having their own money,they will know its worth because being here nothing comes easy.In some way at a young age they will realize that its not easy to gain profit or money one must need hardwork and patience to achieve ones goal to build a brighter future. Bitcoin is great experience for all the people in any age of life. Bitcoin is definitely not an answer for everything as op saying, but it can solve some economic problem's and for me that is enough. Centralized systems should be the thing of the past, just with decentralization we can have fair system and more fair distribution of the money. We all agree in one thing, investing in bitcoins now and in altcoins can be great for our future, we learn and know about it now, when crypto currencies conquer the world we will have big advantage cause we are involved from beginning of everything. |

this is my new project this 2018 i got 0.004 btc and i just injected it to a trading site so here's my strategy please help me decide  1. invest it in 1 altcoin (short term/long term) 2. putting your eggs in different baskets which means i will divide my 0.004 and buy at least 3 alt coin (short term/long term) what do you think? I think that would be great, just make sure to do your research before investing in to any altcoins. Experience and skills will take you ahead especially in trading. If your strategy works, you can have more bitcoin in the future. Just make sure to keep an eye on altcoins with good potentials. He already missed many trains to make 0.1 from just 0.004. I suggest long term where he need x25. Ripple cost just 25 cents and now its more then 3 $, soon it will be 4 if it continue to go up, and I think it will ripple is not yet on top. There are food coins, my next big pick is stellar, with 0.004 btc which is a little more then 50$ you can buy a bit more then 50 steallars, I already bought it on 20 cents month ago, couple days ago I bought more on 80 cents, I think it will rise, so that is how you make 0.004 with holding. |

i hope it come backs to 18k, I bought it high  It will, don't worry about it bitcoin price always recover, maybe this time it will take a bit longer then usual. Many good things happened last year, price is very high at the moment and it will be much higher, we need to wait for that to happen. It always sucks to be on the losing end of a bet but then again you're supposed to take it on the chin and walk away as if it never happened. Even though it's pretty hard to do so, just think that it wasn't your day and take the L. It's common for gamblers to rage bet in these scenarios, in an attempt to make back the lost fortune but most of the times ends up to be a bigger loss.
We can't do nothing more after losing streak and God's knows that I has so manybof them, except accepting the fact that its not my day and waiting new day and new opportunity. Making raging bets means that your brain is tilted and you can make reasonable decisions anymore, you are going with everything and you can lose all or win a lot, in most cases we lose all. Airdrops are for free but you still have to invest your time, which has a value, so you should anyway chose the right projects.
I participated in couple airdrops, few doesn`t worth anything, few I didn`t even receive, couple turns out to be a scam projects. Time is most valuable things you are right about that, and many of this airdrops are just waste of time and energy. Now I check more closely airdrop coin, if I don`t see something good I don`t participate. Its a waste of time to be a airdrop hunter I think, maybe someone have a success but I would like to hear how much in percents if its possible, from how many airdrops someone earned specific amount of money. |

The thing that makes me trust a new altcoin is the whitepaper of it. In every new altcoins that got my attention, i put some time and effort to read their whitepaper and to have some knowledge about the coin so i will understand what they are and to find out if they have some potential for the next few years as an investment.
Its all about recognising idea behind, and if we think that idea have a chance to become something more in the future we need to have faith in that and invest our time and money into that project. Idea is just a first thing that I look too, but good idea needs good team behind and active people, many followers to make all that work fine. First follow idea then think how to earn and make profit from that, you will find it better, cause believing in idea is better then to believe in profit. |

Its is good wallet for eth and erc20 tokens, for some other altcoins you need to use different wallets. Jaxx is good for some coins, some coins have their own wallet, and that ones are my favorite ones. Now with so many chains and coins you need to know which altcoin or toke n you wish to keep and according to that to choose safe wallet. I have many wallets, its a must in crypto. |

As I am a new user of bit coin so I don't know how to keep it safe.... Expecting suggestion from seniors Yeah, just use hardware wallets, that is the best thing that you can do, maybe they are a little bit expensive, but it is worth it. Or just print a paper wallet and keep the private key safe, it is free and safe too. It's not just using hardware wallet, it depends from how secure you wish to be. I think that level of security pretty much depends from how much bitcoins you have, if you have millions in bitcoin you need to buy ledger or trezor first, and then before you send your bitcoins to that wallet you need to run your bitcoins trough bitcoin mixer, like that you protect yourself from any government measure, cause they will not be able to find you and tax you or take bitcoins from you, good luck friends I think I helped you. |

In relation to what happened with BITTREX regarding their withdrawal issue, I am now curious on what trading sites are trustable. Any recommendation? I am just a newbie in trading.
There are many trusted trading site out there but i used poloniex, binance and hitbtc those site could not give me head ache i used them by holding my altcoins and i can say they are more trusted like bittrex. Much better to have multiple trading site to have an option for withdrawing fund and to lessen the risk of my investments. I also use poloniex for my trades, but be aware, you need to learn that you can't fully trust any exchange site, no matter how big they are, no matter what they promise. When something bad happen you will not have time to react and there are always chances for that. There are so many things that can go wrong with one exchange site, history should be a big teacher read more about what happened with some exchangers in the past and learn from that. No matter which exchange site you use don't store there all your funds. |

Stable in terms of what? If we're talking about its price stability, well then, dude, there's no such thing as a stable coin. Most coins either go into a high or dive down below. The flow of coins in the market changes every time so it will be difficult for a certain that there's a coin with stable price. But if we're talking about is a stable development, then I'd say, XMR or ETH. NEO is good, too.
Yes you are right, there is no stable altcoin prices are going up. Maybe slowly and maybe there needs months too pass, but eventually most of the good altcoins now worth a lot more then in the end of this year. I already made profit with many coins, now I think ripple is the next coins that will rise, it already did on 1$ but I believe it will rise more next year. I always point out when you invest in altcoin you need to be ready to wait before you can take good profit. I learned that everything is in waiting long enough. |

I believe in bitcoin even there are many problem's around. Future depends from solving main problem's that concerns using bitcoins, 2 years ago that was cheaper, easier and faster, what has changed? Too many people joined, that is good thing but now bitcoin core needs to find a way to make all this problem's disappear. How will they do that I can't say, I don't have knowledge about that, I'm interested only in market. We expect segwit to be activated and lighting too, when that come we will see bitcoin rising like crazy again. I'm sure that will come, and sooner it come that will be better for bitcoin and all of us, race on the markets is going on, and I thinl any altcoins wish to be first.

Many altcoins have potential, what op needs is patience. This month bitcoin made all times high several times, litecoin too, ethereum, ripple, iota, pivx, and many many more coins, so when I see topic like this one I can't understand how someone lost profit! Only logical explanation would be patience, he didn't have enough of it and he sold it to early. In my opinion, I am not sure if bitcoin survive after 100 years, but bitcoin so far will getting strong, and I hope it will be survive because bitcoin is become most stronger.
Yes, guessing 100 years is too difficult, technological developments and world trends are also very fast changing, people used to think that Nokia can survive to be number one but now drown and have to start from scratch again. It depend on bitcoin performance that how it deliver its services to its users if bitcoin maintain its performance as it is going now so there is no doubt that bitcoin will be survive after 100 years in a very short time bitcoin make a space for it self and everyone they are going to respect bitcoin and as a result every one they are not only accepting bitcoin but some countries have made bitcoin legal because they love and support bitcoin. Everything is in performance and delivering, and look what is happening now? Performance is low, fees are high, bitcoin have stronger price, but probably due so big interest network can`t handle it. Can bitcoin survive next 10 years? I love bitcoin but I`m trying to be open minded, competition is higher each day, and some other altcoins wish a peace of cake and they are working hard on that. Today I received a mail from mBIT casino, they started to accept litecoins, bitcash and of course DOGE! What to say about this little altcoin, everyone accepts it, you can do many things with it, you can mine it, trade with it. No matter how this coin was created and what was dev plan with this coin, but it still here and being accepted in various places.
Today price is 66 satoshis, its up a lot, I can`t say this is a good entry point, price of doge can go down again or climb to 100 and that to drop, think about twice about entering with big money now, but little now, see situation and what is happening and maybe invest more, good luck my friend.

Here you should not think in this way , Because if today you will select those $1 coin then at next day may be they can go down much , since many are available at $1 but still I would like to suggest you to go with the unit of Satoshi and technology of coin and predictions with better future market for the coin . My suggestion for you to make trade with xvg , dgb , posw , btg , bcc , rdd , neo etc these are really perfect coins to make profit . These are those coins which has better technology ( not much better technology ) and are growing day by day and also flcutuations of their price mostly flcutuate in a particular numbers of Satoshis . Neo is close to 1$, ripple is already there, xvg is far along with dgb, stellar too. I think this coins will have good next year, some of them raised this year a lot and next year will be the one when will they push the their roof. I think we need to be aware of this coins, and who ever have some money should buy this coins from time to time, I do it and I already made a good profit with some of this coins but I will wait more. |
