561  Other / Archival / Re: [Merit] Help newbies and those who have a little left to the next rank on: May 09, 2023, 04:32:33 PM
I wanted to merit you just now. I went through your posts but didn't find anything constructive in them except bounty reports. I guess that's also why no one has merited your posts till now. You've to move away from bounty reports to receive merit. It's a decision you've to make. The ball is now in your court.
Not only that account there are many here who just have bounty reports in their post history but still keep applying for merits but on what purpose I don't know. But the thing is most of them are concerned to that work only without the knowledge or say awareness of other forum operations.

So as a advice just want @Ratimov to add more rule that if you have only bounty report submission in your post or have not made any posts recently you can't apply that way merits will go to those who are actually willing to contribute and take part that way.But rest he knows better then me.
562  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mining bitcoin can be ceased? on: May 09, 2023, 04:12:37 PM
what would occur if all the computers in the world that mine Bitcoin suddenly stopped doing so?

how would this affect the value and future of Bitcoin as a digital asset and decentralized currency?   in other words, what would happen to Bitcoin if mining completely stopped or ceased?
But why are you taking such scenarios which are nearly impossible? Why would all the computers that are involved in bitcoin mining shut down at the same time? If you are saying about any specific reason you need to mention the same to clear the doubts.

Second the miners are getting rewards for it so they will never stop doing so although the competition and hashrate will vary from time to time but nobody doing so will automatically push the difficulty to low and again profit making opportunity for miners so they won't stop doing it.

Third as you are saying about being ceased then it's case where government has put ban on mining operations and strict regulations are being followed.Even in this case they won't be able yo track down miners because they are using TOR network with their own nodes so it's completely private for them.

Forth even if such thing happens it won't affect the decentralised nature of bitcoin because no central chain of authority,no third party involvement still remains the same as you can't make changes to the source code in the manner it's designed. So don't think too much about it.
563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance sees a large uptick in the amount of BTC held on their exchange on: April 29, 2023, 02:47:09 PM
Increased activity on exchanges shows increased activity in the market. The signs of more activity are more volatility/price changes, higher daily and weekly trading volume, and of course more coins being sent to that exchange because obviously when there are people buying bitcoin, there are also people selling bitcoin so they have to move their coins to exchanges.
This is not a sign of anything more.
We witnessed $30k price range in few days so people start selling their coins pushing high liquidity on these exchanges and Binance being the major CEX exchange with high volumes will definitely witness these scenes but I aslo think what else people take note from these as Binance volume indicates increasing profit margin for them only not any positive signs for the market as a whole.
564  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 29, 2023, 02:34:35 PM

Roobet have this, though this is the problem with other site since they ask for KYC after depositing funds or before the withdrawals, this create panic and confusion as many didn’t care about the terms and conditions at all. This could be a strategy for a site to attract more gamblers but if you are a responsible gamblers, you’ll understand the policy of the site before you register, this should be a mandatory protocol for every new users.
Each casino have their own system but as a responsible gambler you must be aware about the system otherwise you can't shift the blame on casino. They have set terms which you accept so it's mandatory according to them but we are ignoring it on our part but yes we should make ourselves aware about it.
565  Other / Meta / Re: Is it better to have a place to discuss only about NFTs? on: April 29, 2023, 02:20:50 PM
If you care to search for the topic you have created then you would find lot of similar threads on forum where this discussion was carried on about different board for NFT discussion but the answer remains the same that it's altcoin related discussion and we have dedicated board for it.

It was time when it was in hype but at this time most of the NFT's are dead while the existing one's are there with little progress to what projects they have set in roadmap on most of the chains but the overall NFT market is not in much hype so demanding a separate place for these discussions is not important according to me especially when there are lot of important updates pending for the forum and @theymos will implement them first of all.
566  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Andreas Antonopoulos is a good source of crypto knowledge on: April 29, 2023, 02:07:00 PM
His book Mastering Bitcoin is great source of knowledge for those who are really interested in learning about actual working of bitcoin as he has covered and explained each topic in detail. There are many of us who have taken his guidance to get acquainted with bitcoin knowledge. Those who read the book will no longer be newbie but can guide and inform others also about what are transactions,UTXO,seed phrase, private keys and how it's all derived even though if you are not programmer you can understand it to some extent.

He also has YouTube channel where he post videos about bitcoin and other crypto related topics so you can check it out here : https://youtube.com/@aantonop

He is posting videos after some time so can't say he is not active but the thing is how many people are interested in listening to him? So he has done quite good for bitcoin growth and helped users to be aware when it was early like the lecture he was delivering when it was at $100 only but the hall was empty so you need to follow these persons.
567  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 28, 2023, 02:47:13 PM

Many got always get reminded for that as this topic is always discussed everywhere and its just there are still lazy people exist then ignore this actions because they can't afford to read long words written. Then just proceed without any hesitation, I don't know why they ignore the warnings since this is really important for a player to know what those casino prohibits and what they can do for the casino they are playing.
If there is prohibition about something and players still do the same thing it's consider violation of the rules for which they have to face consequences but they don't look at these terms first of all which we have already talked about so now taking it long is no fun because you have to follow the changes rules that's it.
568  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 28, 2023, 02:35:03 PM

for sure
those who don't like it can search for non-KYC options to gamble
the problem is that there aren't many but this could also be a solution if somebody want to create a new website like that

roobet will probably stay strong for many years to come.
This has been a topic of discussion in the past also when the KYC was implemented and those who are not liking it have other options also in crypto casinos but it you want to play on Roobet then you have to undergo the process as mentioned by them.Slowly each casino is implementing these rules but be sure to play on legit casinos only.
569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Help] Newbie here. Is this website safe to use? on: April 28, 2023, 02:20:23 PM
Most likely, scammers collect all the information about users on this site in order to use it later. Disclosure of your data is fraught with consequences. Are you expecting someone to pay you in Bitcoin? What wallet did you create? Your entire post screams that the scammers clearly want more from you. Why do they need your documents? Every time someone on the network demands personal information from you, it should serve as a red flag, and you should immediately stop contact, as gullible people can be very well manipulated by scammers. Just cut off communication.
People are willing to sacrifice their privacy by submitting the documents also just to earn some free money which is not possible at all.As you are saying that when these scammers demand any such documents from you communication should be ended but we have seen across forum also many cases where they still believe them until the scam happens regretting later on.The data breaches and using your documents by selling them on dark web is not new thing but for people it's still normal as they don't realise how big risks is involved in this.
570  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOW DO I GROW MY MERIT LEVEL SAME WAY MY ACTIVITY IS GROWING? on: April 28, 2023, 02:08:38 PM
Creating posts is normal but to have good content in it needs to have knowledge about that particular topic so it's not much difficult nor very easy.If you are saying that you can do it then you don't have to worry about merits because you will get them through your posts which will automatically reflect your quality and knowledge.

But if you are saying earning merits at faster pace like keeping pace with activity points then there are members who are doing it well like PowerGlove who have gain lot of merits but their activity is very low but if you have look at their post quality you will find how it's possible. You are expecting to get 14 merits each fortnight as activity distribution period so you have to earn them with good posts.

If you think you have good posts and not being recognised there are different threads to help you out where you can submit your posts for merit evaluation like these mentioned below :

[Merit] Share your best posts/threads with Fillippone to be merit assessed

[Merit] Help newbies and those who have a little left to the next rank

[self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source

You can deliver your best but having much expectations and solely focusing on earning merits won't help you so get to learning and enhancing your knowledge.
571  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #1 VIP Crypto Casino 💠 Come in and explore our new design ✨ on: April 27, 2023, 03:13:39 PM
Looks like my prediction is still in play in this contest. Great change overall!
Normal fluctuations are taking place and I think by the end of this month it will range between $28k-$30k with up and down unless something big happens pushing it any direction but hope positive things for it that the prices tends to go upward only and yes you prediction is still in the game so will see who becomes lucky this time and bitcoin favouring that member.
572  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Missing Bitcoin on: April 27, 2023, 03:00:07 PM
Without any information you can't get any help from members because you have not provided any information from where something can be retrieved like address where you have sent not the wallet and with over 600 confirmation there's no chance it got approved and balance is usually reflected on your wallet with that address within few minutes. So provide more details on it.
573  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 27, 2023, 02:47:10 PM
@Rollbit Razer, it seems it would be better if Rollbit had a representative who was always active on Trustpilot so that negative reviews by people could be clearly explained.
There are many sites where negative reviews about any casino can be submitted but it doesn't mean team will have to respond to all of them as they don't have any link up with them but see if there is any issue arising on forum and scam accusations is raised against team they respond with full proofs but they can't defend everywhere and I think there's no need for it.The real players who are gambling over platform already know they are legit in business.
574  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: April 27, 2023, 02:34:03 PM
This thread is more than helpful, giving merit based on post will go a long way to help strengthen the forum activities and at thesame time help newbie have a clue of what it is to engage in helpful post or reply. I got merited recently which was a surprise to me cause , I was not even thinking I could be merited. Thanks to God even if it 1 merit for now, I know hard work does not kill but makes one prosperous, I believe I will recieve more. I also commend those who have suggested that , merit should be based on post and not popularity.
When you start contributing at your levels making some useful posts and sharing knowledge or learning from others you will be rewarded with merits from other users. As mentioned above your first page with 20 posts are entirely different from the rest of posts which are bounty reports on which you haven't earned any merit for all these years. But now when you have made some posts you got what you were not expecting and see additional 2 merits also now.So if you keep working the same way soon you will see more incoming but also keep sending them to other posts you find helpful.
575  Other / Meta / Re: Why did moderator moved my topic to off-topic? on: April 27, 2023, 02:23:36 PM
Is that the reason it was not moved to a board that crypto users are visiting than to move it to off-topic where trash posts belong? Even if I am wrong, I do not think moderators did the right thing either.
Who said you off topic board is where trash posts belongs? The board is specific for discussion which don't have anything related to bitcoin but we can discuss other topics which are of our interest as already shared by @LoyceV above which you can clearly see.

The thing is trash posts don't have any place on forum and moderators simply delete them not move to any other board so your post was not having any discussion about bitcoin related but a general discussion so I don't think they have done anything wrong.
576  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #1 VIP Crypto Casino 💠 Come in and explore our new design ✨ on: April 26, 2023, 03:30:28 PM
This is why I feel that it will continue trading sideways for now and will rally again sometime in May itself.
See I said bitcoin has the habit of surprising users and now we are above $29k already with more then 7% rise in a single day as we were just talking about yesterday so your predictions are now in the same line it's expecting to grow so well now it's heading towards $30k range again. The bitcoin showing pumps again Wink
577  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 26, 2023, 03:08:00 PM
There are many fake reviews also by those scammers who are trying to cheat the casino but fail at their try so they make efforts to defame the casino reputation with these reviews. If they already have mentioned that you will have to undergo KYC before withdrawal then why should they pop each time when you deposit? It's like saying that when you order something you should be notified there are combo offers also as you can clearly see it on board before placing order so we should not blame Rollbit for the same.
578  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie are wearing avatar in their accounts on: April 26, 2023, 02:51:00 PM
From all the members you have linked up there the last one @ericools was active in 2020 and all others were active way before that time but there is similarity between all of them that they have created account in year 2011 when there were no such restrictions to the newbie account so they must have updated Avatar at that time. The restrictions were added later on to newbie account by @theymos to prevent lot of things as forum witnessed lot of changes.

But as they were already wearing the Avatars even after merit system implementation it was not removed but newly created accounts faced that restrictions. You would not find any account as newbie wearing avatar or posting images (leaving copper membership aside) after the system implementation by @theymos but they all are from past instances and you can't delete the existing one's.

580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the do's and dont's of signature on: April 26, 2023, 02:15:58 PM
Good day honorable members of this prestigious forum, please I need enlightenment on the use of signature, the do's and don't. This is to avoid going against the rule. And I also want you to share any experience and encounters you have witnessed while using signature. I will appreciate your calm response.  🙏
You are at junior rank at this time and most of the signature campaigns on the forum offer position starting from full member rank so your main focus at this time should be growing up as you still lack 97 merits to reach that level so work hard for it by contributing more to the forum and enhancing your knowledge.

The second part about rules you already have few links guiding you about how to apply signature under your profile but if you are asking about rules then the managers clarify that in the OP for all the participants which you must read before applying in any campaign. If you can follow them it's good because if you violate them you can be removed by manager anytime.
