Agreed. Am not expecting BTC to get anywhere close to the $25K mark unless something big which favors cryptocurrencies happens soon.
The problem is there needs to be huge investment in bitcoin market to make some changes in the prices as the total market cap is near trillion dollars so you can just imagine how hard it is for prices to pump but a major news outbreak can shift the momentum and we can easily see 8-9% price pumps but having an eye on market that doesn't seems possible now so for me $25k is hard within 5 days.
1262  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 08/08/2022 on: September 23, 2022, 12:05:42 PM
So many new records have been saved and that too of some high rank members whom we all know so congratulations to all of them and they have unlocked new merit levels for them and now going forward on the next one :

@dkbit ----- 5000 club is awaiting

@Hhampuz --- 4500 merits is next target

@1miau ---- 4600 and then 5000 merits are on the way

So congratulations to all of you and looking forward to save some more new records now.
1263  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: September 23, 2022, 11:48:55 AM
~~~
Amazing job man and appreciate the efforts you put into compiling all these charts and make them in presentable format from different sources so that users can benefited from the same and each local board analysis can be done on some aspects.So well done and keep up these efforts.This time you are little early in posting these compared to some past ones which have gone across the monthly time period also so great job.
I'm no longer surprised by the drop in Indonesian board local activity data. In addition to the number of users who appear to be decreasing from month to month, the number of merit distributions and the number of posts is also decreasing. Some of the most active users have lost interest in posting on local board as the campaign no longer counts local posts, this has lowered the overall post count in August. Maybe for September, the data will decrease further for the above reasons as well.
Yeah there is downfall in the users and post on the Indonesian board with a difference of 236 post this time and active users have also gone down with 5 which can be due to the reason you have mentioned above as many are writing for the campaign requirements only and if they didn't feel incentivise for it they lack the motivation to contribute but they should Focus more on having healthy participation with their local members.
Mate, great work as usual! I already did the usual scavenging adding your graphs to my thread in the Italian section:
You are also maintaining the same level of dedication towards to publish these reports to the Italian gang and they can be benefited from it as well and you have your own style of presenting these statistical charts for local board.So keep the same posting as well.
1264  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: September 22, 2022, 11:44:06 AM
Which means clan leader and moderator are the ones who do need to set on player which could make use of the clan balance.
There are different roles setup for clans you are in ny the Rollbit team and all the members cannot bet upon the games but only the leader of clan can do so and other can just stake their funds in the clan pool out of which they will bet and you will get rewards as per it which they have stated in the blog also.So those who are interested in it must give it a through read to understand the terms beforehand.
1265  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #LiveTheDream on: September 22, 2022, 11:31:38 AM
The price is hanging around 20K but it can fall significantly below 20K too, however gamblers will continue to gamble with bitcoin no matter how high or low the price is.
And wish granted as prices have already gone below that level once again with little recovery to $19k today and we are struggling to rise above these levels from a long time but gamblers still playing with btc as deposit method but they will be profitable more in high pumps.
What's really great about the possibility of making 2 predictions is that you have 2 chances instead of just one. And who knows, maybe my first prediction for BTC, 25,555.55 EUR, will be the winner on September 28. Fingers crossed. Smiley
And you can predict according to that thereby increasing your chances as well of winning with 2 predictions on the way.Seeing the current market conditions it's hard speaking frankly for bitcoin to cross $25k mark as it's at $19k around and we are left with only a week approximately behind but still hope for the best and btc can do miracles.
1266  Other / Meta / Re: Posting an image on bitcointalk on: September 22, 2022, 11:16:25 AM
95% of the people that responded to this question have given you the answer you need to upload image.
But if you still don't get it right, kindly Copy someone post with image and then edit it to upload your image.
Example; Go on bitcointalk, check someone post and click Quote to copy the HTML Code of the person. From there you will see the link to the users image, Delete the original link of the person by inserting your. When done copy the edited version to paste on your dashboard to upload.
That's how I learnt how to started posting image too
I think that's more confusing task because if you are going to edit someone's else image tags and inserting your link there then chances of mistake are more and you will see invalid image proxy code so the best solution is to follow the instructions above to upload the image on any image hosting site and simply copy the BBCode in your post.
If you want to make image clickable then embed it like this :
Code:
 [url][img link here [/img][/url]
That's it and your image will be visible to others as well you on forum if you are not newbie on the forum.
1267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin miner event on: September 22, 2022, 11:00:57 AM
There are some sites like this one where you can find the upcoming bitcoin and crypto related events and there is Bitcoin Expo in Dubai in October but if you are specifically interested in mining events then you need to find them as I am personally not aware of them as there are lot of some local confrences also being conducted and you can check from them if you can.
1268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Merit] Share your best posts/threads with Fillippone to be merit assessed on: September 21, 2022, 12:00:50 PM
Really a great initiative from you man and appreciate that you are helping out members to reach their next rank although there are some similar threads but still merit distribution needs to be managed in an effective manner and giving low rank members opportunity to submit their few posts which they find good and merit worthy.So you are doing great job with it like going through each post is time consuming and then having an eye over it.Will see if I get time to compile a chart for the users benefiting from it with their merit count and rank if you allow
This clearly state that you are going to top the list of generous merit sources this time as your merit record already state 4227 merits being allocated in the past 120 days and 1244 earned as well but with S/R received ratio of around 3.4 which is insane so keep it up man.
Greetings, I don't know if am allowed to also apply as i am Jnr member.
Don't have any personally created topic but i have made some few comments too.
Below are links to my comments
You can surely apply for the rank up for merit assessment by @fillippone but you need to submit the application as per the rules he has mentioned in the @OP and it clearly states that :
Rules of the thread:
Rules for applying to get a post merited:
  • Any rank that has less than 1000 merits.
  • Excluded Boards: Meta, Reputation, Altcoin boards, Archival, Games and Rounds, Investor Based Games, Micro Earnings, Politics and Society, Gambling and Off-topic will not count. Posts in Ivory Tower and Serious discussion don't count as well
So your post from Altcoin section would not be considered for merit allocation and as any rank can apply for it below 1000 merits so you are good to go but must abide by the rules in @OP
[/list]
1269  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 21, 2022, 11:45:35 AM
A reminder to anyone that they should never sell their own data's because those scammers could use their identities for what every they like and if they use the same like this then the authority will find the accused person then the person who sell their identities for KYC purposes will be sued. Maybe in future we can see that level 2 to happen if there will be many cases like this will exist on Roobet.
This is what I was saying in the above post as if you are engaged in document forging or selling them then you may face the consequences for it once it's known to the authorities as whosoever is buying documents his intentions are for some illicit work only.But I think we should focus more on the Roobet discussion in this thread not going off topic more.
1270  Other / Meta / Re: There's something I don't really understand on: September 21, 2022, 11:37:04 AM
In 2015 too Tongue
By now, I'm totally okay with sticking to this old SMF forum forever.
There are many things we are waiting for update and this new forum software is among one of them which has been coming from years and was happy with the latest addition of OP in the SMF patch from @theymos fast this time.
Very very unlikely. The younger demographic would almost always go for something like Facebook/Twitter/Reddit instead. Regardless, it doesn't change the fact that it's a much needed upgrade for the current users.
The youth is intended towards social media these days more rather then focusing on more carrier oriented approach but say some out of them are inclined towards these hot topics as well bitcoin related but if we assume new forum software will attract more users especially the young ones then there's no guarantee in it but for the current members it will help a lot.
1271  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: September 21, 2022, 11:22:15 AM
That type of sharing could be amazing for some people or could be horrible for some others. If you have a clan that plays the same way, like group of people who love martingale on dice let's say, they can build a clan called "martingaledice clan" or whatever, and they can pool their resources together and gamble that way, even automatically, and even if they lose their money, they would end up with a bigger return considering the bigger wager.
So, it's good if you could get all the people who think the same way together, it would be a smart decision. However, if you end up getting people who are not working together very well, then it's going to be a problem.
There are different clans which you can join or if you don't like any of them you can create one of your own to gather some like minded gamblers but it's not like everyone is gambling in the clan and only one person will gamble on your behalf and you could have discussion as well in the clan chat to make some strategies on how to gamble if you wish to do so otherwise play solo as regular gambling.There is free choice to leave anytime and get your funds back so no need to worry as you are not into signing some contract that will lock your fund in clan pool.
1272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations on proof of work might be coming on: September 21, 2022, 11:09:56 AM
You mean the organization that was paid $5 million by Ripple to spread FUD about bitcoin.
Yeah and the same organisation protesting against bitcoin over the environmental concern despite looking at the facts that how much energy consumption is their in the other sectors but total waste of time.
It depends on whether in the weeks during 2023 or 2024 that ETH is pumping or has any pumping potential or not. Otherwise Elon doesn't give a shit.
Yeah he just wants to fill out his bags which he has done with doge and why isn't he tweeting about it taking to the moon? He has taken out his share and now he can do same with ETH also with the centralised shit staking big amounts and getting more control over the network.So yes he can do it now with the merge.
LOL
It gives exact response to those who believe these merge can make bitcoin loose it's decentralisation nature and it doesn't care about it at all.
The merge has achieved nothing in terms of electricity consumption, it just lets Ethereum play even more in to the hands of centralized regulators. I suppose that goes well with their new centralized PoS protocol.
It has changed nothing but given the privileged more control over the network and has shifted towards more centralised chain of authority that has more risk associated with its exploitation but they just want to consume less electricity at any cost even if change the whole concept of decentralisation.
1273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what will happen after 21 million bitcoins are mined? (in layman's terms) on: September 21, 2022, 10:57:02 AM
There will be wallet software which does all this for you in the background. Just as the average Joe doesn't need to know how to actually create or sign a transaction, or how to use change addresses, or how their private keys are derived, they also don't need to know how to actually open and close a Lightning channel. Their wallet will handle all this for them, and they will just spend freely and receive freely to the same channel without being aware of what is going on in the background.
There are many in current case also whom we can say average Joe who doesn't know how the transactions take place in the backend but only know they can transfer money from one address to another as understanding technical part related to keys and UTXO is not an easy task.
And yes in the future wallet integrated softwares will be there as technical part is being advanced where code is also transformed into human readable format also so they will handle operating LN channel also for the ease of users and this is just testing phase where layer 2 protocols are being implemented and we may see another BIP that focus more on these matters in the coming years.
1274  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 20, 2022, 01:38:57 PM
I think I disagree with you on this thing.  Abusers will always try to abuse the system whether the casino is on hand stopping them to abuse the bonus and promotions.  The casino had put lots of restrictions even banning or freezing the same IP accounts.  They even clearly stated their rules on both TOS and promotional rules.  It is that these abusers are getting smarter in creating a workaround to exploit the system and bypass rules.  These abusers even extend their creativity to hiring people just to bypass KYC and other stuff.  So basically the casino is trying their best not to get exploited but the method in combatting fraudsters and cheaters are limited.
Hackers and scammers are very innovative as well, they follow the trend and yes with that KYC, they tend to pay people in return of their personal identity which is also happening in my place. There’s a lot of victim with this already, and that’s why we cannot blame the site to strengthen their security with KYC level 2, if Roobet implement this, I’m pretty sure many will get mad again but sooner or later they will realize that it’s for their own benefit especially if its about security.
I would say you should never sell your documents because if someone is getting it from you his intentions are not good and most of the illicit crimes are done through this manner only.This is why I also fear KYC because your documents could be sold on dark web if you are sending them to non trusted third party users so beware of them and hackers use it to withdraw funds and bypass the restrictions easily.
1275  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: September 20, 2022, 01:28:28 PM
You guys should know that our main object in gambling is to play and try our lucks, this is what I would have loved to be seeing only, anything other than it is secondary. There is room for any other updates and innovations provided they are optional and beneficial, and in this case, all that you are discussing are not mandatory, so we can bypass it to go for what we want in their service. There are some strict players with their core value for gaming alone even without distractions of upgrades, they should go for that as nothing is always totally mandatory.
What are you talking about ? This is Rollbit discussion thread and we are discussing a new development from the team side which is clan features where players can take part and gamble in clan sharing the profit/loss so have idea about the situation before hand.
So you are saying gamblers should focus on regular gambling and trying their luck only without talking about new features and advancements on the casino ? See this is your perspective but we here on the forum likes to explore and discuss about new things rather then going for boring gambling that you place bet and see the results so if you are not interested in it don't play it.
1276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what will happen after 21 million bitcoins are mined? (in layman's terms) on: September 20, 2022, 01:16:38 PM
This is based on the assumption that total fees per block will remain static, which as I mentioned above, I don't think they necessarily will.
Most probably the fees will rise as they will not remain static as we are 601 days left from the next halving at block 840,000 when the rewards will be halfed to 3.125BTC per block and coins in circulation will also reduce but the transaction would increase I would say even if we take into consideration the layer 2 like LN channels and you would pay more to confirm your transactions even if we say in the short span also so the miners profitability is still there.
We already know that block space is too limited as it stands to scale bitcoin to global usage, which is why second layer solutions are being developed.
Yeah in the meantime we may see some more development to tackle the fees issues in much more efficient manner but we are seeing the LN capacity being increased each time and they are being used by many to make regular transactions saving them from fees and LN nodes support being rise with bitcoin block space limitations.
In this scenario then fees per block could total 1-2 BTC, rather than 0.1-0.2 BTC (example numbers), meaning a price of $80k rather than $800k in your example.
If that's the case then it's pretty much efficient for miners to have that much amount in fees only as an extra reward along with bitcoin earned so we can say that they will have around $250k as block reward plus $100k-$160k in fees as well so securing the network would still be profitable fort them and we will see more support from the users as well.
1277  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 08/08/2022 on: September 20, 2022, 01:00:26 PM
I doubt theymos is interested in earning merits on his account. He doesn't need them.  Wink
He does not need them still he is around 10k mark and that's his strength  Wink
So here is another cool record which I personally don't want to miss and he is our bitcoin geek @o_e_l_e_o who is going towards unlocking new marks on the forum and now he is above 12k merits which seems too far or say impossible for us but he is making it easy shot :
The 12222 is really big and worth saving merit record here so congratulations to him for the same.
1278  Other / Meta / Re: Attaining legendary rank - is that the end? on: September 20, 2022, 12:45:18 PM
I believe legendary rank members are receiving more merits on the forum due to their quality posts they made on the forum and which is why they have attained to the highest rank on the forum.Those who have registered before the merit system implementation were airdrop certain merits according to their rank at that time and still there are legendary who are stuck at 1000 airdrop merits because they didn't contribute anything useful to the forum so they don't get anything in return.
But if you see the above charts then you would find lot of merits distribution on the forum and legendary rank is always the first one to get more merits as they have more knowledge and it's required for merit distribution.
There have been some discussion to add some more rank or distinguish between legendary who have attained more merits but still there is only legendary rank to the top on the forum at this time.The system has helped to reduce spam to some extent as they cannot rank up to high rank if they don't post quality stuff.
1279  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #LiveTheDream on: September 19, 2022, 11:58:16 AM
For the price of bitcoin, the movement is still very wild and it is difficult to predict what will happen to bitcoin. But right now, the bitcoin price is still at 200xx and there are still many possibilities for the bitcoin price to move, so prepare your best predictions and hope to be one of the winners.
BTC has basically become a stablecoin these days which is freaking annoying since I liked its volatility factor quite a bit. It keeps trading sideways most of the time and occasionally goes to $22K and comes back down again.
It's like USDT, BUSD etc which stick close to a dollar while it sticks close to $20K. Wonder when it will move far away from this price.
The recent dip has shifted the prices to $18k and again we have red bar graphs showing up on exchanges which is sad but if we know about how much potential bitcoin have then we don't need to worry a lot about it because soon we may see some price pumps coming up the way.
Speaking of stablecoins then we have seen they are also not so stable as we believe in them if they have algorithm fault and the whole market can collapse due to it but bitcoin is far much superior from them and we will soon get profits out of it if we hold for some time.
1280  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 08/08/2022 on: September 19, 2022, 11:49:34 AM
I basically knew that, but the merit system worked for him as it should even though he never really cared how much merit he would get. I never even found him comparing his merit count with other users. I don't think he really wanted to compete with other users on merit count, so apart from you and me, then it was other users who often made comparisons between theymos and other users about merit.
So that's just my hope for theymos, even though it's actually really easy for him to earn merit per post.
He is the admin of the forum and have to manage the forum in much effective manner rather then running behind merits and it's not an important matter to him.He rarely posts and you can see his last post was on SMF topic about OP matter and he implemented the suggestion to the forum which we all might be aware of.Still he gets merits whenever he post because it's an announcement or suggestions that matters a lot so he is not actually in this merit race and works in different manner.
