1041  Other / Meta / Re: bullrun2020bro - Merit Source Application on: November 30, 2022, 12:01:09 PM
It's really good that you are applying for the merit source application and for me personally you are not a new or unfamiliar member of the forum.Have seen your constructive post and especially this thread where we save really cool records so you are fine with me.

Speaking of German board then it's one of the most active local board and merit sender/reciever is also high as per this thread by @Rikafip so the board needs more attention. If the members like @1miau from the German board are supporting your application then you have their hand also.

So I also support your application but the end decision lies with @theymos only as if he finds it suitable he will be appointing you as merit source and we will have additional sources on forum.
1042  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin for beginners: Five tips you should know as a beginner on: November 30, 2022, 11:42:12 AM

I really hope that newbies in a reliable source, as you write, do not choose you.
I can say that your advice in choosing a hot wallet has completely discouraged the desire to continue reading further, and also discredited you as an adviser.
And, as always, the number of thousands of links does not mean that you are a master of Internet search. The information from 2018, which you illiterately paraphrased, proves that you are also a loser in the search. Roll Eyes
The newbie account giving advice to beginners in the first space gives indication that what the advice could be.The same happened with me also that once he said hot wallets are best choice for them I have the whole idea of the post and rest the post of other members have directed him that his advice is not worth it.

And as you have already pointed out that he is paraphrasing the so called advice to the members and they think these types of post will help them to gain merits and show they have knowledge about these matters but in reality it's entirely different scenario.
1043  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My gut is telling me that I am missing a part here on: November 30, 2022, 11:08:58 AM
As others have already told you that Binance is a centralised exchange so do you think they will allow decentralisation in any manner? They have custody of your funds so in reality the funds are not yours but theirs and all other exchange like coinbase are completely centralised.

When they act as third party you still have to go through their verification process but in reality the P2P trade means you are having direct trade without any documents or say KYC and that we call decentralised way of trading but does Binance allow it? They keep track record of your transactions and can always put restrictions on your funds as you are using their platform in P2P trade as well and your account will be credited/debited based on that but who has keys to that input? So think it the other way and you will see not a single decentralised loopholes you will find in them.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Careful where you connect your wallet on: November 29, 2022, 09:47:16 AM
The most common hacks occur where you connect your wallet with untrusted sources and also don't revoke permission to those sites which results in draining of the wallets and whole funds in them.People see some lucrative offers on the site and click on them but the main problem occurs when you give them access to your wallets in hope of earning few dollars or without you even knowing about it.

There are many things you need to do as precautionary measures for safety of your funds and the best is not to connect your wallet on these sites and use burner address having limited funds over them because your safety lies in your hand.

Hello all,

November predictor results are in Roll Eyes It seems this one has felt the impact of the recent trends. Still, very close predictions, congratulations to the winners.

Let me know,
Karl
This time the predictions were close as bitcoin prices were not too volatile and whole market crash was around FTX mess but still congratulations to winners and all those who have tried but not on winning list give it shot next time. Now the next one is on the way right @Karl?

Christmas times are approaching, we will surely have some special promotions around it and I'll keep you posted Smiley
Waiting forward to see what exciting you guys come up with this time also and participate in that one to make my new year happy if I am lucky this time.

Wow congratulations  @kryptqnick @michellee and @bullrun2020bro special for @bullrun2020bro you are very lucky because you managed to predict correctly in the last 2 periods, will you set a new record in the next period and beat the record held by @LFC  Roll Eyes
Yeah he is lucky this time also as bitcoin stayed close to his prediction this time also but you know @LFC_Bitcoin is also one of those lucky members and have been bitcoin investor from a long time but still it's dependent on the market forces of demand and supply and what the situation is at that time.We may see his name next time again on list.
1047  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 08/08/2022 on: November 29, 2022, 09:01:41 AM
i hope i can reach my 4k milestone this year and then tackle the 5k in 2023 Cool
Yeah sure the chances are very high that by this year end you will enter the 4k club as you have left with only 46 merits to that and seeing you past merit charts then you have gained 619 merits in past 120 days which is on average 5 merits daily so you are entering 4k club soon.So best wishes and I am also hoping to enter 2k merit club this year.

Hehe, we were both right, each of us about what he was talking about Smiley But it seems I did not understand at first sight what you meant. Indeed, there are 34 users within the range of 3000-3999 merits. True. Well, it's a select club isn't it? Smiley But the one cygan is close to enter now (4000-4999) is even more select, as it has now only 20 members -- 21 with him.
There are sometimes these confusions but the main point was that you have entered the 3k club along with other 34 existing members in that range. Yeah as we go above the ladder the club become more selective and the range goes down so hope at some point we also have our names portrayed in high ladder marks.
1048  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 29, 2022, 08:48:26 AM
There's almost 3 Billion bets created on Roobet so far and Roobet launch a promotion to celebrate it, for anyone who make $1 bet started from now until it hit 3,000,000,000th bet, the 11 lucky gamblers will get a share of $26,000. The most interesting thing if you're the one who hit the 3,000,000,000th bet, you will meet Charles Oliveira! anyone who watch UFC will know who's him and his inspirational journey when he's still nobody.

You can read it here https://promotions.roobet.com/promotions/the-road-to-3-billion-bets
It was just a matter of time when Roobet hit 2 billion wagers and now see we already are at 3 billion bets and I remember there was predicting contest also with 24 hours time period where you get $50 to closet one or if it's exact or very close then you have boosted win of $350 but we did not have it afterwards. But now we have another one promotion from team and always liked how big the prize pool they have and share of $26000 among 11 players is good. Thanks for sharing it.
1049  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to get bitcoins for free? on: November 29, 2022, 08:34:22 AM
How can we expect to get free bitcoins at these times I don't understand and people need to realise nothing is free and there is hidden cost attached to these offers you see over the net.I have also advised members previously also that at this time the prices are $16k and even if you want to get some sats then it's really hard.So who will be ready to give it out to you free of cost?

The faucets at these time are not wasting your time on as you will hardly earn few bucks with hours of work and then they have set withdrawal limits (speaking of that faucets that will pay off you others are scam) so do you think it's worth it? If you are comfortable with it then you can surely spend your time over there but if you spend the same time learning about bitcoin and gaining knowledge it will help you to look for different ways to earn through it and that also some decent amount so the choice is yours.

Airdrops are related to altcoins. Most will give nothing or will give worthless coins you cannot exchange anywhere.
And most of them are scams as we have seen in the past also which tends to steal your personal information and people in the hoard of earning some free tokens which have no utility and will be worth nothing fill out the forms which can be risky for them but they realise it later.

Playing games.. I don't know.
There are some P2E games in the NFT space at this time which will give you their native tokens for playing game but you have to make investment also to buy their NFT so not free. But there are some games which I have come across giving out altcoins as you mentioned for spending time playing games not bitcoin as I know of but that also not worth it spending your time over there.
1050  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything you wanted to know about ES Volcano Bond and were afraid to ask! on: November 29, 2022, 08:10:22 AM
I usually prefer to listen to podcasts rather than watch YouTube.. but I will watch Youtube, once in a while if I know which one is being referenced.. and even better yet if the reference tells me which part of the video to watch or tells me the reasons why I should watch / listen to the whole thing.
I also prefer to listen to podcasts and have listened to the mining council about how they are using energy efficient resources and shifting to green mining which tells me the latest updates to backup my statements in any post and keep updated my knowledge. But also watch YouTube videos if I found some good one's although most of them are busy shilling fake and shit coins so go through other sources.

But yes if the video is long then it's helpful to listen to the specific part which emphasize on the whole matter for what's the video is upto and refrence to that part is really helpful.

Sorry, but the podcast I was referring is in Italian only. So, I thought it was pointless to provide an exact reference to it (I still can do that if you think it is worth, or, without spoiling your OpSec, you tell me that you can find Italian intelligible).
It's fine as we will not be able to understand what they are saying as we don't have graphical representation also to link up the audio and understand it but good for pointing it out to us and let us know about them as they will now be in English also so we can have look on them to see their viewpoint on the matter.

Regarding the "We are back" part, yes, they are back TO El Salvador.
Last year they provided a very nice reportage of 45 days spent in El Salvador documenting how the Bitcoin Ley was implemented, or actually NOT implemented in reality.

They provided a very good coverage, that was for the main part in Italian, and later translated in English.
You can find it here:

https://bitcoinitaliapodcast.it/missione-el-salvador
I like the way they themselves have the team on the ground foe coverage on the matter providing a realistic approach to see the whole thing to the public and good part in English also.As you see El Salvador bitcoin bonds is the new hot topic of discussion at this point and we need to know how Bukele goverment will proceed further with it as they aim to raise $1billion for bitcoin city.
1051  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 08/08/2022 on: November 26, 2022, 02:32:02 PM
Actually, this is not totally correct... there are more than 34 members with 3000 merits. According to bpip, there are 56 users with 3000 earned merits (I am on 56th position right now) and 75 with 3000 merits -- so 3000 merits including airdrops (I am on 75th position). Still they are not very many, just a bit more than the 34 you mentioned Smiley
You are right on the part and these stats but what I was actually refering to was those members who are currently in 3k merit club and they number stands at 34 with @gentlemand at last with 3007 merits as you have gained additional 10 merits now and with top @cygan at 3944 merits. So these stats are also as per BPIP and was saying to these numbers so you are also right on your part.
1052  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 26, 2022, 02:03:57 PM
Its been a while since my last play in roobet, I think I'll come back because of this raffle, collecting few tickets to get the chance to be one of the lucky 50 winners.
Making your way to the list of those lucky winners is not easy as there are many players ready to take part in the raffle gathering more tickets with wagering and having high chance of winning in them but yes you can still try your luck to see how many tickets you are able to collect.
1053  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: November 26, 2022, 01:50:35 PM
Honestly, its quite a rare thing to end up getting some tiny amount from the faucet and then end up with a big enough profit that you could withdraw. It is not impossible but it is as unlikely as anything could get. I would advice people to learn how to gamble, try out the demo one, and then just deposit real cash and gamble, that's the path that a newbie should take. There are too many very easy games here, not easy to make a profit but easy to understand how it works and that means you would be starting to gamble without getting into anything too complicated and could have some fun for yourself easily.
At this time if you are looking for some faucets thar pay you well in bitcoin then it's day dreaming considering the prices of bitcoin at this time which is above $16k so do you think you will get some reasonable amount with it at this time? So why we are wasting time on them to get few bucks to later gamble upon on the site as it it's better to deposit your funds and play freely and earn free bonuses or spins through promotional rounds of casino.
1054  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why getting merits seems to be difficult for beginners. on: November 26, 2022, 12:25:31 PM
Maybe because almost all the time they open spamfested topics with dozens of pages and post a repetitive reply that is already said by someone else and doesn't really add anything to the whole discussion [1][2][3]. I'm sure if they put some more effort into making constructive posts on this forum, they would start receiving more merits too.
This is exactly the reason because they think they are contributing on their part but when you see their post history then you will find one liner or zero effective contributions post or submitting bounty reports with many pages and yet they believe they are not getting merits at all. There are many newbies who will focus more on gaining knowledge through different threads on the forum rather then asking why they are not getting merits as once you give quality input you will automatically receive merit output.

There are lot of threads in which users can submit their post for merit evaluation if they think they are not getting attention and are being unnoticed for their post so they can check these threads and if they have that quality then they will surely gain merits for it.But on the contrary if we create such threads then it won't help us.
1055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To those who do not care about their privacy. Why? on: November 25, 2022, 04:53:00 PM
As much as I preach about all things privacy and against ever completing KYC, I also admit I have a bank account. To have a bank account, I've completed KYC with the bank. It is entirely logical, as you point out, to want to keep my banking activities separate from my bitcoin activities, and just because I've completed KYC with a bank does not mean there is zero additional risk to completing KYC with a crypto exchange. On the contrary - go and do a quick web search to see how many major banks have leaked scans of their customers' passports or similar. Not that many. But when it comes to centralized exchange, there is a new leak or hack pretty much every week, if not more.
But the thing is we need to have bank account to operate in the day to day activities for processing payments for different purposes and use of digital payment as well as cards for which we need to submit to documents with the banks. But if we speak about CEX then we have different options to store our coins with our custody so why choose these exchanges who are more prone to hack and data leak.

The banking institutions can sell your data but comparatively they will not be intentionally doing so like in the case of these exchanges who are into selling your data to third parties and even on dark web and still can restrict you of funds usage from your account.

I have checked about the bank and financial sector breaches then mostly the cyber attacks are from users side and insiders who sell data or customer fill out their details on some fake website from which the hackers usually take the dump data for your personal information. But if we say that we can submit KYC over exchange then we are not having any separate indentity and all your footsteps are traceable so avoid doing this because you can have your privacy and should focus on there.

The one thing that do really interest me is on their lottery https://rollbit.com/rlb/lottery/current
Currently having that ackpot
$1,049,532.37 jackpot.
The jackpot is really big this time and have not seen the past winners in few months but back when it was new implemented in Rollbit with $RLB tokens there were some really big wins and now see jackpot is big but you need to be extremely lucky to get your name out in this one but you always know there is one lucky player but not me as well. Yeah, they literally launch it one after another and so on. To stay updated with such promotions better join their telegram account. You will usually get instant notifications about all the small to big promotions that are in play. More or less few small hunts will also be there to earn extra bucks on the way. I am not sure but the 15 cents promo is ended long ago or at least I have not seen it lately. Otherwise on daily basis they used to give away these promo codes for few hundreds. You might think its small amount, but it was worth try and you could turn it into couple of ten's just like that by playing crash or dice. It was one of my favorite but I am more into their sports betting now.
I am more concerned about these art contest and whenever there is one I am updated as keep check with @Hhampuz post regularly to see the new updates and ongoing such promotion from different casinos he's managing at the time.Have not joined telegram but can check for other promotions from Twitter which is fine for me but yes who are interested in more updates can join telegram.

Congratulations @GazetaBitcoin for conquering another milestone of merits on the forum for yourself and entering the 3k merit club along with other 34 members in the list and you are the only one with 3000 merit mark at this time.

Speaking about 4k then it's also achievable preety soon depending on the effective contributions you have made and will continue to do so in the future. So best wishes to you for the same man.
1059  Other / Meta / Re: Watch out for user SCORUM.COMMUNITY on: November 25, 2022, 11:58:16 AM
I'm not sure what the goal here is and if they are in fact proposing an honest partnership, but clicking on the link and visiting the website is not something I am planning to do. I'm going to use my forum logic and conclude that it's a scam until proven otherwise.
They are clearly spam messages trying to find some victims through these offers as they think NFT is the new trend and we can attract members towards our project which may or may not exist in reality with these keywords but you are right on the part that we should not click on the links we received from these newbie and strangers as we are aware about the phising scams in this space.

Although I didn't receive this PM but in past have received some kind of trading partnership messages trying to scam you of funds and this is also the same but surprised to see how many of you have received his PM.

I see him now banned (not by me).
Do not hesitate to report this kind of PM. One or 2 PM, it can be tolerated (if you are really patient), in this case it is clearly spam.
Well the job is done and thanks for notifying all that another scammer was banned and we should always report them at the first instance only so they are kicked out before having any victim.
