1081  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - Road to Riches raffle taking you to Las Vegas! ✈️ on: November 18, 2022, 12:11:47 PM

Looks like a great game, user interface looks very appealing. I haven’t played yet, I’ve been really busy & as you say the crypto charts are dominating my mood at the moment Grin

I will play on the weekend when I have some free time away from working.

I’m also keen to see user experience. Guys please share your thoughts on this new game.

Also sharing the same moment at this time because taking a little break from gambling and managing my funds in the recent crash but the game itself looks appealing and will gave it a try to see how it works and how is the overall experience with the game. Not on this weekend but after it surely as have other plans for this weekend. But you can surely give your shot and tell us your experience @LFC_Bitcoin.
1082  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: November 18, 2022, 11:57:22 AM

This should be no surprise, really. This is exactly what happened with Celsius, in that they had to publish a full list of the users' names, holdings, associated transactions, and so on. As I warned over a month ago, now that this precedent has been set, then any data held on you by any centralized exchange or platform is at the same risk of similar disclosure. I fully expect a similar full list of all FTX users to be published in the coming weeks.

Just as if you don't want your coins at risk then you need to withdraw them from centralized exchanges, if you don't want your data at risk then you need to be shutting your accounts and requesting they delete all data they hold on you.
But the problem with people is they don't listen and think these exchanges are best place to store your funds so well we have perfect example of how the FTX crash has lead to the whole market crash but those who have funds over there or say networth in FTT tokens it's all gone and have no chance of recovering from that loss.

As you have warned them in your previous post that they should withdraw funds from exchange and take custody of your funds they were having thoughts like it would never happen with FTX or Binance and people were inviting SBF to some talk show with showing youngest billionaire but now what? He is under supervision of the authority and said he fucked up but who lost funds? Those who believe in them and we have announcement from @theymos as well explaining the risk of storing funds over there but if we still prefer to keep funds over CEX then nobody can help in that case.

So unregulated fractional reserve banking? What can go wrong Cheesy
A kind of because you have deposited your funds with them and now they can utilise it like the traditional banking system to invest it anywhere keeping the reserve funds in treasury like FTX have them in FTT tokens with 1:1 but they couldn't manage to make balance between it and got liquidated. The wrong was on their part but actual victims were the people who lost funds in this scenario.
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to hide public key of Bitcoin Address? on: November 18, 2022, 11:45:49 AM

Why do you want to hide the public key?
You're looking in the wrong direction for a solution, the real solution is to not reuse the same address.
Right the public keys will be revealed in each transaction as said above and there is no fear in it at all so I don't see anything to hide in it.They are derived from one way hash function under which you can generate public key from private keys but the reverse is not at all possible.

So @OP you don't need to worry about public key hiding and the only thing you should focus on is keeping your seed phrases secret if you are using non custodial wallets so be safe in that case.

As said by @LoyceV also you should burner address that once you have utilised it for the task or submitted it somewhere use different address from it which will help you more.
1084  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Curious to know about the UseCase on: November 18, 2022, 11:31:16 AM
Cryptos generally don't have a real use case, they have a theoretical use case. Their developers promise clueless investors that their coin will be actively used by people for something, but such promises never materialize. Unexperienced investors think that it's okay to invest in a product that no one uses, because users will come with time, they just don't think that users can never come at all.
Exactly and they are completely ignoring the real motive behind setting up all these zero utility coins which is to scam you of funds and their target audience is exactly of what you are talking about. They set pump dump scheme and paid advertisements for these shitcoins and people loose funds in lore of earning which will never happen.

A way to avoid abuse by the government like in Canada where the government was trying to curb protests by stealing the money from people's accounts and making them unable to buy food and fuel.
Actually the correct word is restricting the bank transfers as they are under government control and you can't withdraw funds if they have blocked it but they were also freezing crypto donations in the truckers convoy strike at the borders. But in actual they are taking away your funds from you.

A way to avoid currency exchange fees and bank fees - great if you travel a lot and meet a lot of people. You can easily book a flight or a hotel with it.
You still have to pay the transaction fees depending on the network congestion and looking at the memepool but still you have to pay fees in each bitcoin transaction. You can book flights and hotels with it and can also pay with it but with only those merchants and service provider who accept it as payment.

Allows you to circumvent government bans and restrictions. Some countries will not allow you to gamble and block bank transfers but having cryptocurrency can help.
If you are gambling over regular casino then there might not be bitcoin accepted and you have to look for crypto casinos online where you can gamble but they also have area restrictions as per the government policy they have to obtain licence. But you can bypass it though VPN and play with bitcoin.

Gives you 24/7 access unlike banks and stock exchanges that don't work on weekends.
Yes it's available all the time at ease of your hand but e-banking tx are also available 24/7 and speaking of stock exchange market then it's completely different thing if we are discussing the use case for bitcoin as it's for investment purposes.
1085  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 17, 2022, 02:47:13 PM

Not late for the fact that its still a world cup which many people around the world watch the league even though its quite late but this is still good addition if we talk about increasing awareness about their casino existence. If they really plan to do this then maybe they should execute this plan because for sure they can succeed with that especially if their logo will be attached on some teams jersey or even promoted by famous individual for sure their fans will look at it or even speculators who watch the game.
They might have some plans to have sponsorship deals with some company in the next one or join hands with some league to have promotion on big level as we have seen from some other casinos also but it depends on the team in which direction they want to have promotion going on so leave it to them.
1086  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: November 17, 2022, 02:30:33 PM

Such allegations are false. They make a mistake among themselves and take a false identity here to correct that mistake. I have seen Rollbit never had this problem and never will in the future. Their company is working with integrity. Some extraordinary people are spreading such campaigns to the detriment of their companies. Never believe such words of yours.
These people have nothing do with legitimacy of the casino because they are only in making these false accusations against the casino as they have lost their funds by their own mistakes. If the team has said that the account has violated the rule then they are at the mistake and nothing can be done to them.
1087  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: November 17, 2022, 02:11:46 PM

All correct.
Technically speaking, Microstrategy is safe until BTCUSD@3,000 roughly, as they can keep adding bitcoins from their stash until that level without operating on the market.

I said “technically speaking” as even if we know how much MSTR is a personal possession of Micheal Saylor, he can withstand pressure on his “Bitcoin Plan” in the case our mutual orange friend get to that level.
Technically speaking then they can withstand the bitcoin downfall to considerable low level but to the contrary he will be adding more to the reserve and accumulating more at these levels taking his average price of investment even more down.At this time they might be in loss but our orange bright eyes friend is optimistic about bitcoin future and will keep on investing even more at these times.

But as per the current market trends we can go little bit down to say to $10k also but like 2017-18 period we can't go to $3k level to what he can withstand the pressure so we are not going to that level most probably.
1088  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If this is all a project has to offer run and don't look back on: November 17, 2022, 01:54:59 PM

Basically 99.99% of the new projects are trash, just to follow the trend, create a meme coin or "too good to be true" kind of scammers.
All of them are driven by greed, so they all end up in oblivion.
It's easy to create token out of thin air as ERC-20 token based on ETH standards without even looking for security bugs also merely for the purpose of making the founders rich out of your pockets. They don't have any utility to offer to the public and only attract you with some lucrative offers and people in the hoard of seeing some fake potential returns in future invest in them but later on it turned out to be scam coin.

At this time there are around 18k cryptos listed on Coinbase and out of them 99% are shitcoins just setup for the purpose of scamming you people and they need to realise in what they are investing their funds.
1089  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: November 16, 2022, 03:29:07 PM

It's because many gamblers can't accept that they lost significant amount in gambling and then they will accuse the casino (in general) that they got scam. This is the problem if you risk the money that you can't afford to lose, it's really hard to accept the bad result specially if you're expecting the opposite.

Anyhow, if the accusation has basis and legit, there should be concrete evidence to back up the claim in order to address the issue.
I say there are some issues and if you have significant proofs your issue will be resolved by the team but if you are putting mere allegations without any base just because you can't handle your loss is not gonna help you in these cases. They think they can harm the image of casino but in reality are wasting their time so don't give them importance.
1090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ftx Will trigger something more people now dont trust nothing on: November 16, 2022, 03:13:29 PM
Unfortunately not much is going to change in the long run. You may not have been around for long but when we look back at the history we can see that such hacks/scams have happened many times in the past in different sizes and forms. People talk about it, repeat the mantra of "not your keys, not your coins" and some move their coins out of the exchanges. But it all lasts a very short time. Maybe a month or two.
Then we are back to where we began. Centralized exchanges with high volumes and large number of users who keep their coins in their custody!
Exactly and I was also refering to the same thing in this post that people get panicked and this is short lived and we ought to see the same old shit we have been explaining from years that CEX are not at all safe to keep your funds and lot of threads to validate the statement with strong evidence but people get fooled the same way.

- The exchange like coinbase has stated in case of bankruptcy user funds will be taken as asset to pay off the liabilities while SEC filing and still they believe funds are safe

-The recent meltdown of FTX has alarmed them which you as said will be short paced and they will now have Binance as the option not non custodial wallets or hardware wallets so you see not a good option.
1091  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 16, 2022, 02:56:14 PM
I am sure many people could afford $30, that is not a lot of money even in the poorest nations to be fair, not small change neither, depending on where you live that could be as high as a weekly grocery store, or an electricity bill paid, but it is still not "a lot" in the sense that it is not rent money in almost any nation, maybe 1-3% of the world would have that as rent.

However, it is still not a smart decision to put that into world cup if you don't have it. I will certainly try it, England and France and Brazil, these three look like they could actually do something and it really feels like we could end up with a good return if we wager on these three nations.
I would say $30 is not a lot, but if you do that per team then it is going to get ugly very quickly. You and I could end up gambling 10-20-30 even maybe 100 bucks on every single game, and it would still be a lot but I assume we wouldn't lose them all, so it would be like maybe 1-2k loss at very worst case, and could maybe afford it.

However, $30 for the whole tournament is not going to cut it for anyone, people who are poor enough that they wouldn't feel bad for losing 30 but can't lose more, will not earn a lot from that neither. Normally people do like 100+ odds so that they could put in 5-10 bucks and earn a lot, but world cup won't have that possibility.
As said there can be a restriction on number of bet placed but $30 is also not a small amount if you are considerably in that small gambler bracket but if you spread your bet over say 4 teams then you already have to bet $120 which is certainly big for regular gamblers as well but you will also have to see if you can manage to get back free bets so you would eventually reduce your wagers to limited number.
1092  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I hope it's finally over for CEXs on: November 16, 2022, 02:46:32 PM
If you are saying that people will now take off their funds from CEX then you are probably wrong because that's not going to happen anytime soon as you will see Binance is leading exchange with billion of dollars volume and people are not withdrawing funds from there and they would not have done it from FTX also it was just they got bankrupt due to their own mistakes.

What actually I am trying to say is people get aware or panicked for some time but has CEX dead from a long time? We still see lot of users there and it will keep happening unless they realise how risky it is and now we also have announcement from @theymos also but how many take care to read it with understanding and not leave their funds on these exchange? So you see we will still see CEX around the market with these people.
1093  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: cygan's 'Legendary Rank Jumble Game and Get Merits 2.0' on: November 16, 2022, 02:26:26 PM
I guess this has already been solved by nakamura12

You should try with another one!

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I am having fun on the forum!
My bad that I didn't noticed it and was slow on this one but thanks for directing me towards that it has been already solved. It was at the first instance that I guessed that one but was little slow in that regards Cheesy. Speaking of the fun part then definitely you have it across such threads on forum.

fillippone is right ... unfortunately you (aysg76) were too slow Grin
thanks to you for having a lot of guessing fun with my game Smiley
so you also get to know new inactive nicks Grin

Yeah didn't have a look on the previous post and it was not updated in the @OP so mistaken it that it's not solved.I am slow in regards to the participating members in this thread who are pretty fast in guessing these words as well knowing all the members. Will see minutely in next round if I can solve and get to know some more nicks.
1094  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: November 15, 2022, 02:50:44 PM
It's not the first time we have seen these type of people who can't handle their loss and start blaming casino for their own mistakes but you see in the end they gain nothing out of it as @Hhampuz already cleared it above as this is one of those fake accusations.
1095  Other / Meta / Re: Not Your Keys Not your Coins Banner Needed Everywhere? on: November 15, 2022, 02:34:59 PM
Here we go with theymos' important reminder
And that's the best part that now we have new announcement for the members which they can see and go through brief post on how they can avoid losing funds by keeping them on exchange.

As you see @theymos was keeping an eye on the discussion and also said in his recent post that recent meltdown of FTX also make him realise the importance of guiding members towards it.
1096  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 15, 2022, 02:24:50 PM

That's why if you're going to participate in this promotion you have to think deeply on what country could dominate the world cup to have a chances to get more $5 for each winning. Yes it's a bit hard but if you happen to bet on the right country, that's satisfying. Anyway, probably some of us can't afford to risk $30 (specially the average gamblers) but if you're open for a challenge and a fan of FIFA then it's worth to try, who knows right? Just have less expectation.
I think we all know which team is going to dominate this competition. But many don't won't to say it so that something else happen, no one would blame them. We all know that all the odds are in favor of Brazil.
After all, this is just a promotion. It doesn't matter how much you will get. It's a promotion and not a lottery, the reward doesn't really matter.
Yeah that's what I intended on that it's kind of promotion where you can have assurance of getting free bets worth $5 also if your choosen team win the match and that's also good after all.The odds might be in favour of Brazil but the outcomes can be different also so will go with the flow if I bet upon this way.
1097  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Never depend on cryptocurrency as your only source of income. on: November 15, 2022, 02:08:25 PM
The crypto market is too volatile and it could turn you down into racks within few days only as we have witnessed in the recent cause of action but if you are taking it as primary source of income then it could be problematic for you in case you are not a whale or have fund restrictions with you.

This is side business or say making additional profits out of your investment but if you are into professional trading then you would need a setup and complete understanding of the market studying charts as well but to support your loss you must have an separate buisness line up also with funds flowing in your account without any risk maintaining your financial stability. Those who lost funds in bear market or liquidity meltdown have to survive in real life otherwise we have seen worse case scenario where they can't handle it all and results are devastating.

1099  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 14, 2022, 02:50:32 PM

Pretty sure that it is limited to only one, otherwise people would be abusing this by betting all those potentially top 4 teams but still though getting a team to win 6 games to get $30 back in free bet is hard so just treat it as an extra promotions though. You might potentially win your outright bet alongside with all those free bets from the promotions
Don't know if it's limited to one only but yes we need to treat it as promotional bet event where you have more chance of winning back the amount while in normal games you don't have idea at all you can win or not but with these sports bet you can place them according to the best team in your mind if you have the knowledge about teams and their playing.
1100  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: November 14, 2022, 02:35:08 PM

There are no issues with withdrawing funds. Some players are trying to abuse the system as well as Rollbit and then they come here to rally support for a cause which is false and riddled with lies..
The same thing we see on different casino in which the player looses funds due to some violation of the rules or say due to some of his mistake and can't handle the loss later on which in turn goes to creating of these false scam accusations thread against them but it will not help them this way.We always have these kind of abusers but will not get community support on it.
