As you have been already told that you can also contribute to bitcoin source code but the final decision will be lying in the hand of developers who are actively working on it but it's also based on community as if you propose something which could be beneficial for the network and solve some problem then it would be added to the source code but for it you should be having all the technical knowledge of bitcoin network but if you say can change the code then it's not possible solely which is why it's secured network.


Exactly moreover they are well funded in these ways and more of centralised based coins where decisions are in their hands only but with bitcoin it's not the case and you can contribute to the code voluntarily if you have that much technical knowledge and are familiar with C++ but we should not make altcoin based comparison because they are unmatched in transparency.

Exactly there are many such instances where users who have registered early say before merit system implementation have limited themselves to some bounty hunting programme and have hundred of pages of bounty submission only and could not rank up because lack of merits.

There are still some high rank members who have zero merit and could not reach that rank if the merit system was implemented before 2018 so this example justify the condition for it.

As you have said about @fillippone and others like @n0nce who registered as newbie with zero merit today are in top merit holders on forum with their contributions only and sharing their knowledge with others on forum so early members have nothing to do with high rank solely.

I think you have missed the whole scene in the thread mentioned by @Rikafip above where you can see the accusations against him and sure you wouldn't say that it was small and unintentional mistake of the user from your local board as there are many things he has violated on the forum.So check the thread first man before saying this.

Not with this one as if you search for Rollbit on twitter you would found the original account only with verified mark although there might be different accounts in the name of Rollbit from which you should be aware of and not click on the links provided by them for your safety.Don't get fooled under anyone's name.

This hack has been occurred long ago and now nothing can't be done as there are many hacks in recent times also which can't be undone as said above transactions are irreversible if it has been confirmed so nothing can be done in this case.

Second I am not actually believing is you have all the details of hacker then why you want name only and also giving away 800BTC to whosoever helps you? You can directly try to contact some legal help department offering them this reward and they can take some action against hacker but why are you telling this after so many years? Yeah he has created a thread for helping members where they can submit their good post and he reviews them for merit distribution and has given lot of merits in that particular thread on different posts.

This is why whenever we see some kind of top contributors list on the forum your name is always there in the list which is really appreciable because you need to have commitment towards that work which you manage effectively.If it's merit tree,forum awards ,pizza contest or pumpkin craving contest we see our Italian bitcoin geek there so it's really good to have participation at this level.

I don't think so they will be having an ANN thread here on the forum as they are directly trying to contact people and in most cases these are scam projects trying to promote themselves here on the forum but personally I haven't received any such PM and don't know about how they work but it can be estimated that what are their actual intentions.The legit projects would go through campaign manager only and find really good participants for promotion unlike these attempts.

At that time there were hundred of projects trying to raise funds and in the lore they see you as legendary rank member and if you accepted the offer it would have helped them to promote their shitcoin and make people fool but you did what was right and this is what they deserve in reality.
