There are plenty females in the Bitcoin world. There was an article "top 20 Bitcoin industry insiders you should follow on Twitter" and 13 of them were female. I don't think there are many girls who are very active on bitcointalk though. Wasting hours shooting the sh*t on some Internet forum is kind of a guy thing, knowhatimsayin?

the best way to earn with gambling would be to open your own casino. and even that is highly risky and not guaranteed.
you should gamble for fun, its the only way to not get hurt. still, you probably wont profit, but at least, at the end of the day you wont want to commit suicide.

I've looked at the title of this thread for months but never opened it until now. It just seems like a provocation... a hot-button topic. an argument for the sake of arguing.
today i opened it up... FORTY ONE PAGES! almost every post is hundreds of words long! damn people sure get riled about this stuff!
well here's my take; I dont think everybody hates environmentalists and feminists. I dont even think many people hate either group. certainly no one sane and good hearted does. I love women and EXPECT every one to be a feminist. I dont respect women who aren't intelligent and strong. who would?
and the environment is in dire straits, we should all be environmental, if you aren't you are akin to committing crimes against humanity. isn't it obvious how polluted the world is? isn't it obvious we need to take better care of the planet?
there are people who resent both groups, but they are a very loud minority. the best defense against these fools is to ignore them. they're just mad because they never get laid (unless they pay for it)

i enjoy pot because i like to get high, i dont really believe the health benefits part... there is some evidence it can reduce the risk of cancer, but not when smoked. smoking negates the benefits... you gotta eat it... plus you'll get super high if you eat it, so i'm ok with that, but mainly i advocate pot for recreation. i think that's a good enough reason, i dont agree with trying to force some unproven magic medicinal theory... it just makes the advocate look less credible. just be honest... it makes you feel good!
I think Rastafarians are sexist idiots. total misogynists and hated in Ethiopia. Ethiopians are pretty square, and they love Hailee Selassie. they dont appreciate a bunch of shady dopers promoting their guy.
and what the hell is a fissible?

the best place for this discussion is in project development https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0of course there are legal and regulatory questions too... be careful and educate yourself... but i have seen tell of localbitcoin alternatives... never really checked any out though... localbitcoins aint broke so why try and fix it?

I don't really understand the motivations for some of this stuff, but it is important that it happens. It won't get anywhere unless it's given a beating and comes out the other side the stronger for it.
im guessing its real hard core hacker culture. theyre doing it for bragging rights and to prove they can. and yes, it helps in the long run. of course the mainstream media will have a hey day with all the FUD they can proliferate about it... well be hearing about it for years. just like gox, silkroad, all the dark web scare propaganda. it does hinder adoption somewhat (hopefully temporarily)

You do not earn Bitcoin fast (unless you're incredibly lucky ) For sig campaigns you can check hereYou can ask for loans here, but you won't go far, for now.If you're skilled and determined, that's something on your favor... of course you can offer loans and collect interest. of course you need a little btc to start, but with your coding skills you should be able. coding is your best bet. signature campaigns require quite a lot of time... first to raise your rank so you can make decent amounts of btc, second... the campaigns ask for quite a lot of posts per pay period. it seems like a good deal from the outside but some require up to 100 posts a week which is a fair bit of time commitment. your time is better spent and more valuable coding. besides... sig camping can make you seem like a guy who has nothing to say and you will lose respect. its freakin hard to find constructive things to say, or even an interesting thread sometimes. i know i suffer over trying to post enough and not come off like an airhead... i need the income, so i try and do my best, but really, half of the threads here were STARTED by sig campers and are frivolous to begin with or so pointless one finds there is nothing to say. and it eats your time. code man code. good luck

sounds like the old 51% attack theory. too expensive.
as qwk says above, the fact that there is hard code protecting against this tells me that any sort of attack like this could be defused by some coding. like certain malware attacks and vulnerabilities found in security systems. devs go in and fix the code on their side to kill it.
sorry, I'm no tech guy, but that's the "for dummies" version as i understand it. am i completely wrong here?

People are complacent. And they won't organize. If I want to sell millions of records all I need to do is invest enough to get it out there, have it played and advertised. Nothing sells like the illusion of success. If people think something is already a hit they go buy into it. No questions asked. They lack the skill of critical analysis.
I'm talking about media here but this theory applies to everything. I was talking to a guy who works at my grocery store. He makes minimum wage and can just barely pay his rent. I asked why he doesn't quit, if every employee quit and refused to work for low wages the store would be forced to pay more. His answer; store will just hire someone else who is willing to accept shit money.
People are omacent and they can't organize. Until they do something about it they deserve to suffer. Sorry, but no ones going to hand it to you, you have to fight

Pretty confident he is not Satoshi but he's obviously a smart guy, and as a result of the whole Newsweek debacle it seems he's become a convert to btc. Hilarious. I think I like him as a spokesman... It's a great story... Someone in the btc sphere should hire this guy! He's great. Just a regular guy who got targeted by the system and found btc as a result!

In a sense it would be negative marketing for them. Imagine having the two most expensive pizza's being bought by someone and how much controversy that may bring. Ot they could turn it on it's head with a new slogan " Papa John's pizza's are so good, people are willing to pay 5000 BTC for it " or they could launch a mega pizza and call it the " Bitcoin Pizza " .... It all depends how you are looking at it. Waste of a slogan, not enough people know what bitcoins are or the history or care to, they want a pizza for 8$ and maybe some cheesy bread. I think you guys are forgetting that Bitcoin is money and most people are very stupid with their money, a lot spend it as soon as possible. Papa Johns would only lose money with most of these suggestions. The best idea is focus on improving Bitcoin, don't worry about merchant as all merchants do is instantly dump coins so it's the equivalent of selling btc to buy pizza when using. yes, and papa john's need to focus on improving their pizza. its terrible. honestly. like a doughy greasy fake meat sugar-laden sauced cow flop. utterly disgusting. anyone who enjoys it must be so retarded that they will never understand btc, and anyone with any brains will only associate stomach ache with btc after seeing papa john touting it. papa's is a corporate entity and by nature it is anti-human, anti-freedom. they most likely hate the idea of btc, are in bed with the banks and cc companies.. wont go anywhere near btc until it is guaranteed to maximize their profit margin. thats all they care about. why not try and sell btc to a company that has a soul and puts out decent product?

Interesting but I hate to say it... I don't think most people are ready for this. All we are going to hear about are hacks glitches and losses. People are even more careless with their mobile's security than their home computers' which is negligible at best. Plus, as mentioned above, confirmation time is a very real issue.
One day I'm sure, I just don't see it just quite yet

Good news I like this. We totally need some fresh air.
Do they allow signature campaigns?

The longer you play the more you will lose. It is fact. Gamblers want to believe otherwise but they are in denial. You will never recoup your losses, only add to them.
I was reading about the psychology of gambling addiction and oddly enough, the endorphin payoff and rush the gambler responds to by returning to the tables happens when they lose and not when they win. Losing is what drives them. Seems counter intuitive but when you think about it and watch the behaviour of gambling addicts it makes perfect sense

I think it's funny when they say "provably fair slots" because actual real world slot machines are the most fixed corrupted provably bogus gambling device out there. Always have been. In fact, their ease at being rigged is probably the only reason they ever existed at all.
I'm getting the impression that what is most rigged now is provable fairness

Bitcoin transactions are forming a higher transaction rate on trading platforms and spikes indicate the price at $500 within 7 days.
This estimated value also considers the flow of positive Bitcoin talk, speculation and rapid new entries into the market.
Information fluctuations have spiked to a point of sharp crash or boom upword with the chance of no rapid activity being 2.1% based on past memberships to Bitcoin related material.
Sudden increased interest and attention always equal either a rapid negative or positive effect, depending on what may be considered negative/positive (in this case Bitcoin price going up or down).
False perceived success could push Bitcoin to $2000+ -- a price that could boom even further with a huge bust based on past Bitcoin chart patterns.
Gifting with Bitcoin has become something of a norm and interest in Bitcoin naturally grows around the winter times. (why the hell did you give me Bitcoin and what is Bitcoin and how do I use it what the fuck it has no government?)
Less activity in the outside world currently has a positive effect on Bitcoin since the Internet holds most of the valuable markets. (virtual markets and technology)
As the Internet grows in value, Bitcoin will, but as governments control more Internet, error on line 2. Buy. Buy. Buy.
I see you're new here. Everything you mention above, in the first two paragraphs, describes accurately the environment right now. The part you get wrong is; these factors never have had any bearing on the price. Up down or sideways. As much as we'd all love a giant spike I'm afraid those days are over. Possibly the halving next year will cause rapid incline, but realistically what needs to happen is wider adoption and regular real world usage. I'm expecting slow but steady growth. Btc will be strongest if it develops into a sustainable self contained ecosystem. It's a long way from that any time soon.
