1381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you check Bitcoin price everyday? on: October 09, 2017, 03:43:40 AM
Hi guys,
Just curious.
I bought a little bit a few months ago, for the first time, for the sole reason that I want to invest in Bitcoins, and get a profit after 5 years, maybe 10 years.
So I would not need to check the price everyday, as it is of no use for me. But I do, can't help it!

I am not the only one I guess.

Checking the price is an instinct of investors as their are no investors that will tolerate it's investment especially if their investment is going in negative side.
As long as we want, we don't want to lose that big amount of investment.
But as of now btc is positively growing so you are in the right track.
Investors hardly checking the price everyday, why do you think they invest for? they are expecting a long term investment and just leave it be, don't even care about the daily price movement or else.
the only people who always checking the price everyday and consider this activities as their instinct is a traders, not an investor, so watch your statement carefully and know more about the difference.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which field do you expect the most influential with blockchain tech.? on: October 09, 2017, 03:31:48 AM
It's obviusly finance field, as you can see that people who invest into ICO more interested to finance product but still the other field is also funded by some investors if the project is really interesting.
so many company from ICO has been released and gaining its success such as ICONOMI, OmiseGo, and many more. expecting the finance field will be the most influential with the blockchain tech ofcourse.
1383  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just going to $100,000 now? on: October 09, 2017, 03:25:28 AM
Everything is possible to happen and maybe we see the price of bitcoin in 100k dollars after fee years but we dont know when and we dont know if its truly happen. Because the price of 100k dollars is very big amount and we need more time to reach that and the probability to hit 100k dollars is very low. But it depends on the demand on the market if the price increase or decrease.
Couldn't agree more that everything is possible but if you do use your logic, $100k is just too much for the price of bitcoin unless the scalability issue have been all resolved then it's fine.
I'm myself holding a big amount of bitcoin expecting such event to occur but if the scalability issue hasn't been resolved yet and the price increase that high, bitcoin is actually doomed.
1384  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just going to $100,000 now? on: October 08, 2017, 01:27:33 PM
Ok last night I suddenly felt that BTC's road to $100k is imminent

Sounds crazy? Yes maybe, but it really is not

BTC at $100k is the right value

And we r going to see it go there now.   Shocked

You'll see my friends
Indeed, it is possible but I doubt that it will happen within 5 years from now. What I mean is that, there'll be more years to cone for Bitcoin to be priced and be able to reach that huge amount of value. And maybe it will only happen if most countries will make Bitcoin legal for it to be used in regular transactions that will make its market demand high and ofcourse, its market value or price.
That amount is actually too dreamy, when bitcoin just reached that price, everything will go bats crazy such as fee, and many more. no one will going to use bitcoin as their one method to transfer money instead, sending a money with bitcoin will be too much of fee, be realistic guys, such price for bitcoin doesn't make sense at all.
1385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 7000 HOT OCTOBER on: October 08, 2017, 01:23:13 PM
My Best Forecast so Far!

Target 6800-8400 per 1 btc

Current price 4844

Stop
Short term at 4723

Which gives us enormous profit factor of 23

HOT SEPTEMBER, feel the magic. #11

simplefx prices
There is a fork expected next month and till now the price is around $4400 so how can we expect it will reach $7000 at the end of the month?.
May be we will be able to get these results (i.e $7000 per BTC) after November (after fork) because there is a huge rise in price is expected after the fork.
Everything could happen in this world and seeing that he makes this prediction when the 1st of september, it does make sense that he looks like a person with no clue at all at this time im writing.
even though, if the HF is really that spectacular, the price could just increase to $7000
1386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does China hate Bitcoin? on: October 08, 2017, 01:14:22 PM
In my opinion the main reason behind banning bitcoin from china is people's will addict to bitcoin rather then their fiat, and for that china will be in loss of huge taxes.cz bitcoin fees will not go to chinas govt fund.
Afraid Fiat afraid.new era has begin.
Yep Chinese don’t hates bitcoin but they need a big control in system there country. I think the chaise government don’t invest in online unknown currency they want to make their own currency is control in all world .the people of china like bitcoin and everyone like bitcoin
They actually intend to regulate the bitcoin just to keep their economy stabilized, they seem to have no interest to take the control over bitcoin but instead, don't want to miss the opportunity of taxing bitcoin users by tighten the rules. so many people here got why china regulate bitcoin wrong and the result are so many nonsense opinions. people need to wake up and learn to know what government want to know more about their movement.
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: October 08, 2017, 01:10:26 PM
Ofcourse yes, because ethereum has something to do with thr future of the cryptocurrency. So many see that ethereum has an potential to be the next bitcoin in the market, and ethereum's price is hiking thats why it has really a potential. And it is also known just like bitcoin, ethereum can help for the future of crypto and for the future of ours. Thats the reason why i still support ethereum.
For now the price of ethereum only following the trend of bitcoin lol, the rate of eth to btc still stuck there, it seem eth price is increasing because the equivalent to dollar to their rate to bitcoin is also increasing due to pump that happen to bitcoin, if you think that the price currently hiking, please see it one more.
1388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO's in October on: October 06, 2017, 11:15:12 PM
There are many ICO nowadays with potential and have future. ICO is a good investment specially for long term. My suggestion ICOs for you is.
Top 1 - Electroneum
Top 2 - COMSA
Top 3- CarTaxi
Top 4- Enjin

Nope, seems all of them just another fail. but the best ico should be comsa and eedio or change payment. Cartaxi and electroneum was below in their performance. A lot of people are not interested to buy it right now.
1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SALT Speculation. Is it worth it? on: October 06, 2017, 11:13:53 PM
I don't trust low trading volume prices. We should wait for stabile price.
Can you tell me about what you mean about the low volume prices? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/salt/ The 24 hours trade volume is awesome that means a lot of people are buying it right now. So just waiting for your answer about that  Roll Eyes
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EBTC on: October 06, 2017, 11:12:24 PM
Never heard of this coin before this topic lol, should read more crypto news I think  Smiley
Nonetheless just studied their concept which sounds interesting, but the rise we see now has no clear reason. Couldn't it just be another pump and dump?
Maybe I will buy some and hold them for a while to see what happens
It could and that already happened. This time the price has plunged more than a half from the top price. You can still buy from the market but i just think about the price will be decreasing a lot in the future. I could see the same chart with deeponion.
1391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy Centra(CTR) on: October 06, 2017, 11:10:56 PM
i think not good time
because bounty campaign participant reward still not yet distribution, if ready distribution, centra coin price can down
The team has made a decision to divided the bounty distribution into some batch to avoid the dump by the bounty hunters, and that makes sense to buy the centra token as fast as possible because the developers are knowing about that.
1392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: October 05, 2017, 01:43:57 PM
This has been proven throughout the world and Bitcoin will definitely grow better than gold. I think Bitcoin is more practical and there are more investors looking to buy Bitcoin than gold, if you buy gold you are definitely going against the trend of the world.
but for people who prefer real value of real things, they will definitely choose gold, I think that people who hold bitcoin is just temporary, they at the end always exchange their bitcoin to fiat and probably buy gold afterwards, and the current trend of the world is still buying gold, you can see the market cap of gold and bitcoin is really different, gold significantly bigger.
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe that digital currencies will replace Fiat? on: October 05, 2017, 01:39:36 PM
Yes, I believe that digital currencies will replace paper money and is going to happen soon, as statistics says majority of America uses cards for purchasing daily life goods rather than using paper money, so there will be a time when people will use cryptocurrencies instead of cards and paper money as using them is even simpler than using cards.
Credit card is actually digitalized form of fiat but well, your statement is still right though. so many people switching over to the simplest method for paying stuff, and credit card or debit card give all of them.
by the way, if we are talking about bitcoin as digital currency, I doubt it can compete with credit card or debit card.
1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 05, 2017, 12:22:00 PM
Please tell me which investment that's not risky even a little, all of them are risky, and investing in bitcoin is risky too, that's why you should not worry about the risk but aim for the profit instead.
But, one important reminder, the price of bitcoin could fluctuate very hard, even a news could affect the whole market. but, more fluctuative, more profit.
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC, Howey Test and Token as Securities on: October 04, 2017, 10:29:40 PM
Hello Crypto Supporter,

are there any discussions going on at bitcointalk about the SEC declaring tokens as security and therefore hinder trading those.

The SEC uses the so caled Howey Test to determine if a token is classified as a security.

More about the test: http://consumer.findlaw.com/securities-law/what-is-the-howey-test.html

Interesting paper from coinbase with a test at the end: https://www.coinbase.com/legal/securities-law-framework.pdf

So I wonder if there are any lists out there of tokens who potentially could end up as securites?

As far as I understood a token who pays some kind of dividend in order to reward token holders is more likely to be classified as a security?

TenX would be a prime example for this.

Can anyone elaborate on this?

Thx in Advance!

I believe over 80% the token that already generated by the ico project will have included into the security, because the token just like a security to the investors. I consider that iconomi token just like another security token.
1396  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: October 04, 2017, 10:28:11 PM
I found bitcoin investment project unreliable and risky as hell. There is no way to determine if well advertised and interesting project won't get sour.
That is a reason I am holding my bitcoin for now. After all we all agree that holding your bitcoins is an investment too.

I haven't experienced bitcoin invest yet. Because I'm afraid to be scammed. I am not sure where and what is the trusted one thats why I am careful by that. Maybe the best thing that I can is store it and trade with the high price. My strategy is its price.
Nope, The good investment will involved the more risk as far as i know that about the truth if you are wanna investing into something and you must afford to lose but i know your feel about that. It seems to be a difficult thing for you
1397  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happen to banks? on: October 04, 2017, 10:27:08 PM
Banks would still exist even during the existence of bitcoin in the economy. ANTIcipate that they would no longer keep paper money but instead they would already accept crypto currency and thid would be bitcoin. They will accept bitcoin as deposit and they will offrt different features of security.
They will never leave the paper money, and about to accept the crypto currency it seems to be the antagonis thing that you should consider again about that, Pboc already become the best example about what already happened about the bakn with the crypto currency itself.
1398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could realistically be worth $500,000 on: October 03, 2017, 12:53:55 PM
realistically in theory, yes, everything is possible but in practice.... not very much. Realistically we can also line on mars but that's not happening any time soon, yes? but this just as a vague statement is true, tho I don't think we'll live to see it.
In theory itself just seem not possible seeing the condition of bitcoin right now that struggling to face the scalability issue, the fees itself required by bitcoin in every transaction right now is 0.00027, looks small for now but imagine when the price hitting $500,000, 0.000027 will equal to 13.5$ which is, pretty expensive for sending a transaction, and by that, bitcoin will no more become currency but savings.
1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So low market cap is better for investment? on: October 03, 2017, 12:46:38 PM
No, not really!

low market cap also shows that particular altcoin has nothing to offer and nobody cares about it. in other words there is no demand hence low price and as a result low market cap.

the picture you posted is also 100% irrelevant.
Thanks for this information. I also didn't quite understand what low market cap means.
Just explain the things here, low market cap means that the volume of transaction in the exchange of that coin is alternatively low, no one throw their btc or eth to buy this coin, therefore, the price can be manipulated by someone with big money called whale.
majority of this low market cap coin have such a low value per coin and if you multiply with the total supply, they'll have really low value in USD
1400  Economy / Speculation / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin as early as this October? on: October 03, 2017, 12:41:08 PM
Can not imagine. How will they do a refund? Btc price fluctuates every second. They can not pay you the same amount of btc back 20 days later. If you pay 1 btc and get 0,89 back then you'll become pissed, even if it is the same value you paid.
I am sure they'll draft a refund policy and will warn buyers at the time of buying itself on fluctuating values or even refunds back in the form of Amazon Pay.
Pretty sure they'll do that, the price you're going to pay with bitcoin is already fixed and at that time when you choose to pay with bitcoin, the payment gateway already set a fixed equivalent to btc so that there's no thing called fluctuative value anymore, then amazon can simply refund the money just as the same as the price of the stuff.
