For anyone interested, Tuesday is the Nuggets ring ceremony, and they will be playing the Lakers. It's actually a good night of basketball as you have that game and also a little later the Suns take on the Warriors. Should be 2 really good games worth the watch.
Yeah, yeah, yeah! We are getting near the NBA Regular Season Tipoff.
Two great games are listed and I bet they will show us some good performance since they know their fans are ecstatic for waiting too long. I really miss watching Jokic's tricks. Cheesy
Then there's Wemby. We will now see if Wemby is the legit player that should stick in the trend. He did great against the Warriors in their last game of the preseason and I wish he could play the same when the pressure is high.
After watching GSW, they look like a promising team too with the addition of Chris Paul and Saric. I honestly thought it was going to wreck their chemistry and player positioning but the truth is they now have a deeper bench despite losing Jordan Poole and some bench players.

So sorry for the Grizzlies fans though, Steven Adams will undergo season-ending knee surgery, this is a big loss for the Grizzlies roster.

Memphis Grizzlies center Steven Adams will not play this season as he needs to undergo surgery on the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, the team announced Sunday.

Bad news for the Grizzlies just as the season is about to kick off. Their center Steven Adams is having knee surgery and will be out for the entire year. This is especially bad in my opinion because the Grizzlies have issues and Steven Adam’s is a great person with a lot of influence over his teammates and I think a big part of the reason he’s on that team is to keep Ja Morant in check.

I saw this news earlier and I feel bad for the big guy because he could been a big help to them because they needed him as their center, thankfully this is just the start of the season and they could easily fill that position right now. Or their bench players will have a chance to shine because they will be given more minutes right now. He will still be there giving support for the team on the bench and advising them always.

When it comes to moral support for his teammates, I think he's really big on that. However, it's clear that he's not the same player he used to be on the court. I mean, it's evident in his performance over the last two seasons with Memphis – his numbers have significantly dropped compared to when he was still playing with OKC. It's sad news, but I don't think it'll have a huge impact on the team since they have younger bigs who could step up and fill the gap left by their "Aquaman" in the paint.

I'm hoping he can make a strong comeback, and that Ja Morant won't make any foolish moves that could derail their good run. It's a fresh start for Memphis, and I still believe they're a playoff-caliber team, even without Dillon Brooks.

Isn't it though that he was injured from last season ago? correct me if I'm wrong that's why he was absent in the playoffs and most likely he was a big factor why they've lost their series? So I think he could have re-injured again, or this could be a different one, (again I'm just basing all from my memory, and it could be groin injury before). So if this is the case, they yes it's very bad news for the Grizzlies as they are trying to enter the picture in the West for this season as the last two where like for them to get that needed experience.

But they still have Jaren Jackson to be their man in the middle. However, the presence of Steven Adams will be a big plus factor for the team. I mean we all know how he did the dirty works specially in setting picks for Ja Morant and then the offensive rebounds. Surely he will be missed again at the start of the season.

Yeah, they missed the playoffs, and I remember their season's playoffs against the Warriors when Memphis lost in 6 games. Steven Adam came back, but he barely saw any minutes because the Warriors were playing that fast-paced game and needed their young guns. It was tough luck for Memphis, especially since Morant was also dealing with an injury at that time. They could've given the Warriors a tough series and maybe even made it to the Finals if things had gone differently.

Jaren Jackson has seriously stepped up his game. He's a big-time contributor to the team now, and he's got those sweet outside shots in his arsenal. But you know what's even cooler? Having Steven Adams around. He's like the wise old head who can guide them through the tough times. Losing him again would be a real blow to the team.

I also think that in terms of numbers and minutes inside the court they've got players who can fill the gap, though his presence as veteran
and as one of those go-to guys who will always be at the back of his teammates, his presence gives an additional boost.

We might see adjustments for them and just to add up regarding to Ja's possible performance I'm hoping that DRose may influence
him in terms of being humble inside and outside the court.

You know, this dude's been a solid teammate to CP3 and Westbrook back in their OKC days, and even when he switched teams, nothing's really changed. His attitude is just something you gotta admire, it brings such a positive vibe to the team.

I mean, we've got these other older guys who are still getting contracts despite playing limited minutes. It's all because they bring that value and inspire the whole squad.

We might see adjustments for them and just to add up regarding to Ja's possible performance I'm hoping that DRose may influence

These guys have made adjustments in the past, so I'm feeling pretty optimistic they'll snag a playoff spot. Plus, with DRose been acquired, he's a veteran with some serious playoff know-how, and that's gonna rub off on the team. They've got this!

Iggy going to the Warriors was the moment when the dynasty was created. Without him, the Warriors would not have had the success they did against LeBron.

Iggy's retirement has been long overdue, as he has been more of a mentor than a player for the last couple of seasons. Overall, Iggy had a good career in the NBA, and there's no doubt that he certainly contributed to those Warriors victories. I wouldn't even be surprised if the Warriors management decided to retire his jersey.
However, I personally will always associate him with the 76ers because I still remember that time and how good he was during his prime.
Iggy is superstar owned by GSW and thanks to Iggy they were able to enter the NBA finals several times and managed to win it.
He was also player for the US team and was able to take part in bringing the US to the FIBA title.

Now he is 39 years old and is actually not too old for Iggy who has very good playing skills and thanks to his body posture he can more easily carry the ball because he is quite strong as player in the small forward position.

That's already old age for most bastketball players, if I'm not mistaken 19 years in the league, one of the longest tenure for a basketball player. And it's good that he retired as a Warriors because he moved to Miami a couple of years ago, and then comes back to the Warrior for another ring. So that is one of the best decision of his career although I think he is being eyed by the Warriors management to make a comeback to them. And I'm thinking that after retiring, he could still be part of the management team. He has built a good rapport with the current players and obviously in the front office. So the Warriors can still used him even if he is retired on court playing. But can be hired as a valuable scout or maybe they will create a new position for him in the front office.
But even though he was too old for basketball player he could still play well and there was very little decline in his playing performance for GSW.
I sure there is still time for Iggy to provide his final achievements for the Warriors before deciding to retire and it seems like team administrators and coaches still hope for Iggy services for their team.

Maybe he can still survive until the age of 41 or 42 to continue with GSW.
Early retirement is not wish that the GSW team can accept and I am sure his departure could burden GSW in the future.

He has limited minutes in his last year, he was seldom used by coach Kerr. He only played it really needed for point and defense. But there are game that he still shows brilliance of his prime years. But it's time for him to retire and no need to play until the age of 41 or 42. No need for him to go and chase those records. He had accomplished a lot that no players have done, like winning rings and finals MVP.
Because he is an important player for the Warriors coach Steve Kerr only uses Iggy at certain times and Kerr doesn't want anything bad to happen to this player who has previously brought the Warriors to several great titles and achievements.
But it not problem if he wants to play more for the Warriors.
And if we talk about the titles Iggy has there are many awards he has managed to have while he was an NBA player.

For some reason I do not see Chet to be on the same level as Wemby at all, maybe that is just me but the difference is huge. Wemby is much much better on defense if you ask me, he is just by far better, and maybe they look like both tall skinny dudes but Wemby is more agile, and also built better, he has more muscles if you ask me, can't guarantee that but it looks that way when you look at their images. That height difference matters too I think, Wemby is significantly taller too so the difference is definitely huge.

I believe that we are going to see a race without a doubt, but I think Wemby will win with a clear margin without a doubt, it should be something that would be a lot more easier for him to get. This also depends a bit on how the teams will do as well.
We will see. We did not see Chel Holmgren play last year because of his injury but this year we can analyze how good he can be despite his body structure.
And, it's not like scouts will be eyeing him, SGA is the rising star of the OKC Thunder so I think he and Josh Giddey will be the favorites to look out for.
Giddey especially, that dude is a monster who can do everything. Assists, rebounds, and points. Last year he averaged 16 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 6 assists. He plays a little bit like Jokic and when he is polished he could be the next player who will average to almost a triple-double per game.
OKC is in good hands, all they need is chemistry with Chet and I bet Giddey's stats will climb more when we consider his unselfish plays.

Spurs on the other hand had nothing and when Wemby came in the hype was so high that he suddenly became their superstar although we haven't seen him facing the real game, the playoffs. We are just using the preseason game as the basis and I think that's not enough to conclude this comparison.

Man, the hype around Wemby is off the charts! He's been straight-up killing it in the preseason, and I won't be shocked if he keeps that fire going in the regular season. My only concern is the potential for injuries, especially for a big guy like him who's hustling on both ends of the floor.

He better be careful because he's the main man for the Spurs now. Without him, all that promise they've shown might just go down the drain, and you know they'll start tanking for sure.

True, one of the biggest hype for a rookie maybe since Lebron James. And in the pre-season games, we've seen why. He is putting numbers like that, and giving up some highlight dunks too. And you can see the reaction of the crowd. Obviously, there are a lot of fans that are going to follow him. And most likely defensive coach are now putting some plans on how to stop this young man. But it's going to be a difficult task as he has a lot of moves. For his size and those feet? yes, no one can stop him one one one.

He better be careful because he's the main man for the Spurs now. Without him, all that promise they've shown might just go down the drain, and you know they'll start tanking for sure.

I think San Antonio knows it, and maybe they are going to put some programs for this kid and see how he will respond. Maybe going to the weight rooms with San Antonio strength trainer. He just need to put some muscles just to be able to go throughout the season.

They surely have programs that are already on its way for him to get developed based on the contract and stay that he's got. I'm sure that Spurs have already a long plan for this kid and this could be the new era for them which will be part of another championship for them.

It's still quite early to think of another championships but it's the goal everytime they have this kind of prodigy.

Also, the former legends of Spurs will surely give him some help to increase his muscle mass.

That's why many team are now looking for a legit center so that they can defend Wemby in paint. They provably watch how GSW got dominated by him in defensive end that's why they try to adjust base to what talent Spurs have. If Wemby will be more mature and got a lot of experience on NBA for sure became more scarier than we thought, since its hard to stop this guy with a 8 feet wingspan and can able to shoot outside and have a guard skill set.

For sure he will be the target of physicality on regular season so he need to prepare that so he can have good action if he face a badass opponent that want to get his head.

A few days of rest before the official start of the NBA regular season. So it seems like almost all of the teams are ready except for those rebuilding teams and the unstable Philadelphia 76ers who still have Harden but made a personal excuse to leave its training camp.

The start of the season always excites me as teams will try their best to start strong. It enables them to observe if they need some trades before the deadline and necessary adjustments.

As we've seen, Victor Wembanyama is NBA-ready and so is Chet Holmgren although the latter seems to have better teammates so the stats might favor the former. But it will be very interesting to see these 2 giant prospects.

Finally, Chet Holmgren gets a chance to shine since he's back to full health. His rookie season was a bummer due to injuries, but now he's ready to roll. With Wemby also have his debut, they're both bigs, so it'll be interesting to see if Chet can create his own name. They faced off in the preseason, and we got a taste of who's got the edge, but let's wait for the regular season. Chet might surprise us and outdo Wemby in the stats department.

I'm super excited about the new season. We missed the NBA after a boring NBA Finals, so here's hoping for a much better one this time – a series that goes all the way to Game 7, not a quick 4-1 or 4-0 sweep.

I believe they are 50/50 playing against each other. I think Chet is more mature and a little stronger but he is more prone to injury. And Wemby is still 19 compared to Chet who's already 21 so the kid's body is still changing.

Here is their latest duel during the preseason where they lead each other's team score. I really hope both of them stay healthy in their career. I won't be surprised if Chet leads the stats even if Shai is the OKC's main man. Wemby just has the advantage since all eyes in San Antonio are on him.

Hype really is getting out of hands.
Scrolling through facebook or instagram I all the time see pictures and reels about him. Like the block against Wiggins and also the jumper against him. Of course he looks good but they take it way to far. Still those were preseason games, not more and not less.

Of course he can surprise everybody and keeping this kind of strong performance up and let him have a strecht of a couple of bad games, the haters will jump off the band wagon real quick. Even Lebron was called overrated sometimes in the bigging, yet he showed them all.

Let's see how Wemby reacts when there will be critics on his neck. t some point that's coming.

I agree that the hype is getting out of hand and I also can't help but join the hype. Not that I am doing anything actual but Wemby is just better than most people expected. I mean expectations were too high last year already but he came and bam he could score 20 points in pre-season easily. His moves and his shots seem great. He seems like a hardworker and he seems like adjusting the Nba fast. Spurs fans couldn't ask for more right now. Of course it is highly debatable what he can do in the playoffs, noone can know. But even though expectations were high of him, he could be performing bad right now, in his first NBA games, but he seems quite great. This is the fact that fuelling the hype IMO.

He got a good father figure in coach Pop to motivate him to work on his game when dragged down and also to keep him in check when his head gets big from the praises or hype. He had an interview when Pop yelled at him but he liked it. Wemby looks like a good student guided by one of the best in industry.

Just one more sleep until NBA basketball kicks off. I think with the Damian Lillard trade the Bucks became the team to beat in the East and I think the pickup of Bradley Beal makes the Suns the team to beat in the West. I think the Warriors will have another good year along with the Celtics and Nuggets, but I think the Bucks take home the crown this year.

Bucks yeah good possibility, but if the Suns still can't beat the Nuggets, i have Jokic and Murray repeating this year, probably.
The only thing that really bothers me about the Nuggets making a repeat is Jokic. The guy looks like he's about to lose focus on his basketball career as he got so hooked up with horses lol.
I don't know, maybe it's just me or he is really lossing focus. Well, I hope he'll still play at an MVP level.

On the other hand, between the Bucks and the Suns, I'd take Bucks all day.

Have any of you seen the most recent beats commercial that features LeBron? Crazy how his wife Savannah has a message for him to not stop playing until he got their 2 sons play along with him in the NBA lol. LeBron will be like almost 45 if Bryce is lucky to get drafted early in his career.

I'm leaning that way too.  Until someone can figure out how to stop jokic I can't see them losing a 7 game series.  I do want to see them fave the Bucks because they actually match up well now on them. Also looking forward to seeing some of the younger teams take that next step like okc...and finally just want to see my knicks take another positive step forward.  Q Grimes has to have a breakout year for them to take another step I'm thinking
