1641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen if Tech Giants get into Bitcoin or Altcoin Mining? on: December 13, 2016, 02:26:32 PM
We will get good quality of miner from them! That would be great!

Sure, but i wouldn't get my hopes up, i think chances that google or amazon would actually get into bitcoin or altcoin mining are very, very, very slim.

Me either, but when it happens probably google will be taking us bitcoin users to what we always dreamed of. We all know that google always provide an open source software unlike microsoft(that loves to always make money) But the danger ahead on this is that we also do know that google always have an issue when it comes to compromising its users security(when it comes to identity eg: locating you)

1644  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: December 12, 2016, 06:18:17 AM
alcohol is a drug of choice still and its legal to most countries including Philippines. in the home town of DUTERTE, drinking alcohol after 12midnight is already prohibited and a bunch of military officers will approach people in the bars telling its their last bottles.
I don't alcohol banned will be at 10pm coz when i was in 7/11 there not selling alcohol even your going to take it out Philippines is now different than the past few years Smiley and i love what philippines now i hope that our police men will not take advantage this kind of president to abuse their powers.

Yes alcohol are banned during 10 pm and to be resumed morning. We are also not allowed to go outside topless(this is a habit of a filipino guys) Anyways there are  resistance by now but it only means that there is really change happening right now
1645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Kill The Income Tax on: December 12, 2016, 05:55:54 AM
My point to this certain issue is that taxation in the first place is a very good way contribution to your beloved country. If us people don't pay taxes then we are not given a rights to used that roads, bridges, or to that certain hospital for free, etc.

The only problem here is that it was being abused by the government(not all but most of them) IMO taxes should be voluntarily given by the citizens. So I am not in favor of allowing bitcoin to kill taxes but instead to give the freedom to its people.
1646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's be honest, how many of you here actaully read the whitepaper? on: December 12, 2016, 05:32:45 AM
When i read that papers. I really am having a hard time to understand most of the calculations or i mean most of the context of that documents. Anyways it is good thing if we read those when we are curious but i guess some of those were obsolete because as bitcoin innovates (prior documents will be changing as well)
1647  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: December 07, 2016, 06:26:31 PM
It is basically on the owner's experience and way of thinking. If they are an experimental type of business man then explaining to them what bitcoin can really provide is such an easy task but when it comes to those who are too careful about their business the only thing that could convinced them is that let them experience first what can bitcoin provide.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: December 07, 2016, 06:17:02 PM
Clippers v Warriors it seems Warriors have more high chance to beat Clippers into this battle. I will take Warriors for me both teams have good offense but Warriors looking more better. So that I will pick Warriors.

Cavs has also a higher winning percentage against clippers but they were able to defeat them. So this is really not the type of game that we could assume right away let's just see. I currently am doubting about the potential of warriors in this season tho
1649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why in some countries Bitcoin is banned on: December 07, 2016, 06:10:15 PM
Countries with a growing economy consider bitcoin a means for the national currency's devaluation as well an source which decreases the use of local currency. But in reality it serves for growth and in advancement in the fast moving world. Over the years to come the country which adopts bitcoin officially and starting to regulate will experience a great growth in economy.

You got a great point there. This certain country that banned bitcoin as a way of transaction or simply currency can't just allow bitcoin which is a peer2peer type of technology that can degrade the current adoption of their local currency. Why would they allow bitcoin in a certain position to interact with their local currency?
1650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM on: December 07, 2016, 06:04:43 PM

I agree, Usually Bitcoin ATMs are only available in some big and well-known countries just like Singapore, US, and some countries from Europe and maybe there's a one Bitcoin ATM in your country just like what I have found out in my country but for sure it will be located at Luxurious Place just like in Makati, Philippines .

We actually don't have to worry much more about bitcoin atm because of the certain service (exchanger site i would just mentioned) because we can easily load our bitcoin wallet through department store 711,we do all know that 711 is much cooler than atm's and can easily cash them out on a cardless atm
1651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin endgame (v1.0 ?) on: December 07, 2016, 05:55:17 PM
Bitcoin is a technology and in the IT industry technology change faster than usual. "the only permanent in this world is change" So don't be afraid or bothered if bitcoin changes just embrace it that is what it is. If we are going to pinned out bitcoin into certain place in order for us to feel comfortable then bitcoin would surely vanish. Just sayin tho
1652  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What kind of service/business would you create if you had funding and.... on: December 07, 2016, 05:46:38 PM
I would definitely open some stores of car washes in certain parts of europe. and then later a hotel in some other place. There is a lot of money to be made with car washes in Europe Smiley

I used to managed a carwash business of my parents before it was just a small one but unfortunately I am not from Europe and the profit that i am getting is just enough for my personal needs, how i wish i was in europe.
1653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin impacts? on: December 07, 2016, 04:57:32 PM
People in a third world country usually doesn't have their own bank accounts and this blockchain technology (bitcoin to be specific is making things happened) We users don't have to worry much more about setting up the wallets easy and free a lil bet of computer skills is needed.
1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2016, 04:30:53 PM
I remember tho that some people earned a lot of money by selling pokemon go accounts back when it is extremely popular .

Account selling was just a opportunity for those cheaters to find some pokemon fans.

Yeah, the game doesn't have much substance after you play it for awhile. Unless they add new features, I think it gets too repetitive and boring.

I can't seem them ever implementing bitcoin into the game, they are in it for themselves and the in-app purchase not to allow users to make money with the app Tongue

Actually, they would not allow any such intentions XD. They don't care about us earning in their game it's about them who earned from us players

At least it brings something fresh to the gaming world by making people go out of their caves and explore the world. There should be more games like that.
Sure, there are some problems to consider like people walking like zombies in front of the cars or jumping fences and trespassing to reach their destination. Everything has its pros and cons.

That is the main reason why pokemon go sky rocketed within just one night because of that idea you were saying but we kind deny the fact that it has a lot of drawbacks and as they have said the longer you play the more time you get bored as well.
1655  Economy / Services / Re: BitDouble.io needs mods on: December 07, 2016, 04:21:43 PM
That could be between 9pm to 9 am server time ? Or are we required too be online during the whole time (12hrs) a day? Tell me more about it im interested Wink I am from asia so basically i could handle the time that was stated
1656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any risk in using Bitcoin over Public WiFi ? on: December 07, 2016, 03:53:38 PM
We all know that it is not advisable to use e-banking, credit/debit cards, etc over public WiFi as the information can be misused by the hackers.
Is there any chance that the same can happen if we make bitcoin transactions over public WiFi ?
I assume due to high security measures in bitcoin, it is not possible. Am I correct ?

Online wallets can already be manipulated by hackers even if there were no wifi connection involved (server side to be specific). How much more of it is on public use?

In your assumption yes transactions can not be a tool for hackers but instead they could get your amount by breaching the wallet where you have processed the transaction
1657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can you stand alone? on: December 07, 2016, 03:49:39 PM
A long time ago a guy traded bitcoins for pizza when bitcoins were relatively worthless in dollar value.  Would you say Bitcoin depends on pizza, of course not

It depends on what people are exchanging it for and willing to accept it as payment

So the logic behind the claim that Bitcoin cannot exist without fiat seems to be based on that assumption. In this and only in this way, it can be said that Bitcoin depends on fiat. On the other hand, we can always claim that in such an exchange it is fiat that depends on Bitcoin, and not the other way round. But in any case, if we completely remove fiat, Bitcoin already has the required features to substitute it as a means of exchange

Well yeah i guess that it is right. Bitcoin needs fiat to be exchanged for( i guess that is how currency works and obviously bitcoin is a currency) but that doesnt mean that bitcoin could stand alone of course the only tjing here is that it is not being owned by a certain place. It is controlled by a community(us users)
1658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2016, 03:13:35 PM
Pokemon go users drastically went down. This only means that people are too busy and always on the go. They joined pokemon go because of the hype yet only those who were an avid fan remains. So if we are going to apply this one for sure users will fade in a small period of time.
1659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin governance sucks! on: December 07, 2016, 08:46:36 AM
For all you that love 'decentralization', it has made a right fucking mess of things.

Basically the open wild, wild west of 'consensus' is causing tremendous problems in the Bitcoin network.  People are not working constructively together to achieve a remarkable new system, but rather fighting like little school girls on Reddit.  This is a damn mess.  We need a CEO and management to direct efforts and align them to reach a goal.

Is it the case there can be no noble CEO?  I don't buy that theory.

And having a CEO makes things better? Obviously not, So what if they were fighting on reddit? None of them can even handle bitcoin because again obviously no one can control bitcoin(every users control's their own amount of bitcoins) Let them fight anyways it won't make things better or worse(their opinion would always be their opinion)
1660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2016, 07:59:00 AM
I do not think that China is controlling bitcoin,  the concept of decentralized peer to peer should explain it.  Even with majority of the hashrate is located in that place, it is not own by a single personality.  So the interest and idealism about what to do with he hashpower is not controlled by only one person.

exactly, peer to peer concept
+
strong community
+
opensource code
+
love about users
=
no one can control bitcoin

Exactly, no could really control it because it is alive as long as there were people who supported it. Yet the fact that most of the miners really huge percentage of miners to be exact was in china. They might not be able to control bitcoin itself(but the flow can be manipulated in the long term process). If they succeed the peer to peer concept would be centralized only to that certain country + the strong community(they would surely be the strongest group in bitcoin community) and that is not good
