1121  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Dear faucet owners. on: March 01, 2018, 12:47:37 PM
Recaptcha is indeed really tiring.  Tho I would still rather visit a faucet that has recaptcha without popunders. I would rather get tired than be irritated by popups. The common problems that so many faucets right now is that both has a popunders and recaptchas, now that what is really a cancer all about.
1122  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Quality of a leader on: February 28, 2018, 02:18:31 PM
All of the things that you've stated are actually right. Tho for me, a leader should be a person who understand what his or her people needs. Because it can help a person lead the other people to achieve their needs.

It is the reason why we can call someone who are born to be a leader. Because they understood things better than the others. And if those people achieves the things that they need. You can now label that person who leads them as a good leader
1123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency kills people on: February 28, 2018, 12:48:31 PM
It is not the object that can kill a person. Cryptocurrency can really be used but it does not literally kills a person. Either FIAT etc. Anything can be used to kill a person. So basically in the end it still boils down to People kill people.  Make sense?

What we should fair is the lost of humanity and not crypto currency.
1124  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Quantum computers will end Cyrpto on: February 26, 2018, 12:12:52 PM
I am pretty sure that the concerns about quantum computers disrupting cryptocurrencies is not about the hike in hashrate.

The way bigger risk is that quantum computers could decrypt the encryption that is used for adresses. If someone finds the private key to one large Bitcoin adress with his quantum computer, bitcoin will be worthless.

So the bitcoin protocoll must be prepared for such an attack before quantum computers are ready.

Quantum Computers are much faster that the current one. Defending such attack basically impossible. Unless the current bitcoin system and hardware are being upgraded. I believe that quantum computer will not caused a problem to bitcoin community if the bitcoin community will also start using quantum computers.

How is your post related to mine? How can we prevent quantum computers from decrypting bitcoin adresses by upgrading the hardware in the system?

If what you are saying is true that there is no way to implement a protocoll that is safe against quantum attacks, bitcoin is doomed. But I don't think that is the case.

If you want to read about encryption post quantum computers see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-quantum_cryptography

But that has nothing to do with hardware upgrades in the bitcoin community

Please be specific to whom are you talking to because basically we have the same idea that it is merely impossible to attack bitcoin using quantum  computers. Tho we have to admit that hardwares can really affect the bitcoin community since we need to adopt so bitcoin will continue to be a part of the system. I cannot see any reason why should we worry about it
1125  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: why bitcoin illegal in asia? on: February 26, 2018, 01:27:14 AM
The government want's to protect the innocent people who are recruited by those who are involve with ponzi scheme, pyramiding, networking and these scheme is rampant in Asian Country and now that bitcoin is very popular they use bitcoin as a front to recruit people.

Banning cryptocurrency to protect your people is not the solution either. Look at those countries who adopted bitcoin or any other crypto that are so successful right now like japan. Basically the government will look at it as a treat to their governance. Providing a better information to its people will solve the scam scheme not banning it.
1126  Other / Meta / Re: [Poll] What do you think of the forum's usage of reCaptcha? on: February 25, 2018, 03:38:27 PM
Nobody has mentioned in this thread that google captcha blocks the forum entirely for a billion people living in China.

Likely this is important information to consider when choosing whether to force users to use a google service while accessing the site.

At some point this kind of issue really needs to be addressed. Forum should be welcome to all users anywhere in the world. Tho, I haven't seen any chinese in this forum contributed since basically most of them are just talking to their local boards and creating similar forum for them would really not be a problem

What you are saying is, why have any local forums at all?

Actually, why have a forum at all?  Creating a similar forum for me would really not be a problem, yes?  And another one for you?

I was actually referring the chinese users who can't acess the forum because of the captcha that even if they can't access the site there is still no problem. Since most of them are just posting on their local section. Don't bother wasting your time in creating a forum tho, LOL
1127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beware my Filipino friends of Facebook bitcoin groups on: February 24, 2018, 12:17:04 PM
There are a lot of Filipino Facebook groups that scam newbies. I got wary of this issue because one of my friend got scammed because he joined a "pool" but after a lot of promises the one that "pooled" their coins just vanished in an instant.

Please my Filipino friends, beware of FB groups because most of the posts there will just make you lose money.

It is true that there are really a lot of Filipinos who gets involved with scamming.  Since there are no proper education, Filipinos usually believes on what they hear rather than searching for it or understanding first the platform. Therefore, some of them are taking advantage. I personally have left all the group that I've joined before because of this.

1130  Economy / Reputation / Re: aTriz and Lauda just got merit! on: February 24, 2018, 09:15:12 AM
I thought that initially Theymos had written something in the OP of the merit announcement thread about merit sources being prohibited from selling merit, but he seems to have reworded it and removed such language, but i am sure that he said it.
Therefore, I conclude that selling of merit is not illegal right? Since it is just a form of trading which theymos already have stated that it should not be an issue? Trading merit is pretty obvious tho. Unlike selling it in which it stays between the two persons involved. Good point there that if a certain user sells its merit then it isn't illegal? Correct me if im wrong then that certain user should not be tagged?

When I wrote that statement, I was attempting to respond to Lauda's assertion that selling/trading merit was not clear from the forum rules.  Further, in the past month, I had been a little bit concerned that some members were being tagged with Red trust in terms of accusations of selling/trading/soliciting merit even though the rules were not clear regarding that conduct.

So, yeah, I attempted to point out a couple of statements by Theymos regarding trading/ selling or soliciting merit.

I think that regarding merit sources, the rule is fairly clear that merit sources are prohibited to engage in any kind of behavior to sell or trade merit or to solicit such.

However, regarding regular members, it seems that technically it is not against the forum rules to sell/trade merit; however, it still would not prohibit other members from giving negative trust to regular members who are engaging in such selling/trading or even soliciting of merit (maybe if soliciting rises to the level of "excessive begging?").

So personally, I believe that for regular members it still probably would not be a good idea to sell or trade merit or to attempt to do so through soliciting, even though technically it does not appear to be against any specific merit rule - but it could still attract negative trust because it seems like a dubious kind of behavior....

I think that Theymos's is specific comment about NOT focusing on merit trading/selling of regular members being a "rounding error" is valid too, because the initially distributed merit is going to run out, and therefore the initial distribution of merit does not add up to a lot of merit that would end up being abused through selling/trading.

Therefore, it seems that it would be a kind of judgement call regarding how much selling/trading of merit behavior would justify giving negative trust.

Even if I do agree that selling or trading of merit is a complete dishonest. If the rules were not clear or would say that this certain act is not illegal then yeah probably giving a negative trust who is doing so is really a complete judgement call.

Tho this system was just released and it still has any loop holes that can be abused by anyone. I believe that there will be a lot of changes especially to this kind of issue which has always been issue for trust ratings.

It is really hard to do some backreading sorry. I just want to ask if how does the system goes. Is it doing good or not?, well obviously there are some abuse no doubt but is there any given statistics for it? Like the total number of merits given. Who is currently leading in giving or receiving merits. I am most likely can understand it xD
1136  Economy / Reputation / Re: aTriz and Lauda just got merit! on: February 16, 2018, 09:13:44 AM
Well, Sending someone a merit is someone's personal choice. You can't force someone to give it nor that someone can force you to give a merit. Infact i can give you one right now yet i choose not to.
That does change the situation? Obviously not. There is no point in hitting lauda or that atriz for a freedom that the system gives to its user. If you are really butt hurt then I suggest to instead improve. Fight back in a more professional  way

That's pretty good since bitcoin is currently gaining its momentum. That could really put up some lift. That is what i really like about the two best countries in asia IMO. Japan and singapore has always been open to technological development like cryptocurrency. When the time comes that bitcoin will now be highly adopted in singapore. I will definitely tries to visit

I agree.  But you are not going to get anyone to drop their coins right now because of it.

People do not care about the future.  They only care about right now.

Shortsightedness must be an evolutionary trait.

This is really how a person's mind worked.  Since we can't predict the future we only focus on the present. I also like the idea of what you will do today dictates the future. Tho we people also foresee the future that we are gonna be making from the present
1139  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is campaign rates dipping? on: February 15, 2018, 01:43:08 PM
Basically it is all about the understanding of how the investment works. You have to remember that they are investing from fiat to crypto and gets their profit back to fiat as well. Then basically you have to convert your investment rates as by means that if the btc price keeps pumping you have to lower your rates as well to prevent bankruptcy
1140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Kill The Income Tax on: February 15, 2018, 12:19:19 PM
Why would it be any different than current, under the table cash transactions (which make up a tiny portion of labor)? Why would there not be a system where employers paid direct deposit to your wallet, but not before withholding the proper amounts and sending it to the govt in BTC?

because that is how the politics works. It may really be a pain in the ass but of course we have to contribute. Tho I don't agree on how the government do it. It should be a voluntary contribution for the citizens. I am glad tho that currently in the Philippines this is already happening by the newly signed tax reform law.
