701  Economy / Economics / Re: All times are good to enter crypto - Tim Draper on: December 17, 2018, 09:05:36 AM
But definitely not all the people are going to make profits,so the people need to understand what is an investment before they are entering into any type of investment.I don't say crypto is an all time investment it maybe profitable for longer period but not forever.

Tim only have said that anytime is good when you enter crypto but he didnt said that all can gain their profits. People just dont need to understand investment they should have to understans crypto first and how it works because definitely it is really far from the other investment mediums
702  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: December 16, 2018, 12:00:08 PM
It's true, the more science discovers, the more ridiculous religions look. We got rid of witches and possessions a long time ago, science proved those things were not real, just like the earth wasn't flat and other ridiculous things that are said in the bible.

If you are going to read my above post. I am now not talking about the god of any type of religion. I am now talking about the god that Einstein believed in, which is more sensible IMO.

I agree, witchcraft are proven by science and basically most of the scientists favors the facts. Ridiculously speaking is that even the greatest scientists believes in a god(not the god by religion) and have already concluded that it is impossible for us humans to prove whether there is or there isn't a being.

Therefore, I consider atheism as no difference with any other type of religion since this type of belief only covers the absence of physical evidences by the god that other religions believed in

Everyone?

What is your great purpose?

The purpose i have choosed is to help homeless people in my place in my own little ways (its either giving food to them or making them smile)

Quote
Seriously, our purpose is to provide genetic diversity to our species.
ahmm, how about those who doesn't have capabilities to contribute?

Quote
Some of us make significant contributions to arts, science or engineering while others are here to do exactly what you suggested, pass their genes to the next generation.
I agree on this one

Quote
BTW, the idea (feeling) of 'God' changes over time.  The more you know about how the world works the less 'God' ideas you need to fill the gaps in your knowledge.
Still can't agree with this one Roll Eyes , the more humans discovers something just leads to another looping questions or shall I say a new discoveries would leads us to new mysteries

Eventually, you reach a point where the idea of God becomes ridiculous
Go back to me when  we die and you have proved it.
704  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: December 16, 2018, 03:01:36 AM

I don't care what Einstein believed in. To a certain degree we all believe in all of sorts of ideas even though we can't prove them. They are just ideas, though, can't be proven, at least not now, you have to live in the real world, you can't live your life based on ideas.

Well, that is your idea. Sometimes you have to get the idea in order for you to understand or atleast know the possible mysteries that this world have.

Knowing the ideas doesn't mean you have to live with it. You just need to open those doors. You might have no interest on that aspect but(looking for answers for any mystery is just an amazing thing and a part of the real world). Everyone is here for a great purpose not just because you were injected by your father to your mother
705  Economy / Economics / Re: A Public Market is Turning 'Cashless' in the Philippines on: December 16, 2018, 01:36:08 AM

I know what is happening in the Philippines and I don't see that much change despite people know and use Bitcoin. People are still using fiat, they are still uaing their debit and credit card to pay online and offline through malls and shops. If there will be a country that is a good example in terms of adapting and changes, that would be Japan as they are the first one to accept as a whole this crypto currency.

It is because Japan has always been a wealthy country. And simply Philippines isn't. It is much easy for them to use crypto since they have services that can easily trade from crypto to fiat.

Yet, the fact that Philippines is trying to use innovations is a good start
706  Economy / Economics / Re: A Public Market is Turning 'Cashless' in the Philippines on: December 15, 2018, 03:39:38 AM
China has achieved a higher adoption rate on mobile payment than any other major economic entities in the world.

do you have any datas or graphs that supports your claim?  But if i will be analyzing it this is really possible if we are going to consider the current population of china plus their addiction with the technology.

But still it is just great to see that Philippines are making a move towards this innovation
707  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: December 15, 2018, 01:15:56 AM

'' Now if we can relate it to the issue of god's existence and the issue of life's essence is it just a common sense to think that there is a being who created everything makes sense?'' Not necessarily common sense but it's definitely not crazy to think some being could have created us. I personally never rejected that possibility, however, why does it have to be your particular god and not the others? Why any god at all? Why not super intelligent aliens, etc etc.

Well, even I am a Christian, I don't agree to everything that our priests says.

I am now talking about the god that Einstein believes in

pantheistic God of Baruch Spinoza. Which actually makes since.

Sources : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinozism
                 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_and_philosophical_views_of_Albert_Einstein

Tho, since I am a Christian i consider this god as the god i believes in
708  Other / Meta / Re: Account banned for plagiarism on: December 14, 2018, 01:34:04 AM
One biggest mistake you have made was you were being too good.

Number 1, rule on this forum do not ever allow somebody to post for you it is and will always be a niche for plagiarism.

You have lost .06 and that is huged, you just have posted a thread in scam accusation thread. Now you have lost both. I feel bad for you tho but you should start providing proof
709  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: December 14, 2018, 01:00:59 AM

Who proved the multi dimensional spaghetti god doesn't exist?

No one, unless there were spaghetti angels that would tell you. You have a since of humor btw

But if we are going to analyze it. Spaghetti were made out of something(milled wheat and water). By that said somebody or there is a being who created the spaghetti. Now if we can relate it to the issue of god's existence and the issue of life's essence is it just a common sense to think that there is a being who created everything makes sense?

If you were talking about the flying spaghetti monster gospel that i cannot answer tho
710  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: December 13, 2018, 04:30:06 PM
Proven by whom? when? where? What makes you the leading authority in the matter? Why do you expect people to take you seriously? All questions sadly even your benevolent god can't answer (because there isn't such a thing).

If your god exists, let him prove by killing me in the INSTANT I post this message.

-edit-

The experiment proved to be a success, god doesn't exist. I'm still alive.
I personally don't what badacker is trying to point out and i somehow don't want to cause i could still not understand it.

But i would like to also point out some of your points. I would also like to ask that question back,

Who proved that there is no God?, where and when? If you were going to tell me that science is the answer then ill just to argue with you that it isn't the answer. Even Einstein said that it is to difficult for us humans to tell if god really existed or not. (I'm not talking about the god of any religions)
711  Economy / Economics / Re: A Public Market is Turning 'Cashless' in the Philippines on: December 13, 2018, 02:31:46 PM
Think about which corporation or bank in that country controls mobile payments and why did the government enable it?

Obviously  gcash and paymaya were managed by the two largest network providers in the philippines. Everyone uses either of the network and what makes it more convenient is that since everybody is using this two networks you can load up your wallet thro mobile loads.

And yes, this is highly moderated and governed.

BTC was always there but why is no one using it in that public market?

You are a bitcoin user you should know the answer. If I am the vendor i would really not sell it using bitcoin. If ill sell an egg for bitcoin that equates to the value of peso during that tine(eg. 6 pesos) then at the end of the day suddenly the value of that btc ammount drops to 3pesos worth of bitcoin. That is a pure disaster, plus for the current bitcoin situation. If you are the payer you don't want to wait for several hours before you can leave because it took hours before your transaction was confirmed
712  Other / Meta / Re: What makes BTT so Good? on: December 13, 2018, 02:15:16 PM
What makes it so good is that you can get different type of information. I think it might be a little bit funny but there were really few users who actually consider this place as their social media platform lol.

By the way how does it relates to bitcoin discussion  thread
713  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Social Media is cancer on: December 13, 2018, 11:40:11 AM
His surely understands the problem. I also do and I am also willing to help him in my little own ways.

Social media is really a cancer when it comes to spreading fake informations.

Thro, social media everyone can become a reporter a weather forecaster a scientist, analyst and whatsoever. Without a proper degree or a professional license.

Would you want to have your child getting feed with bullshit information cause I don't
News have been fake since before social media.
Social media allows you to actively participate in picking your sources, so if you're smart, you'll get better quality than traditional media.
The bigger problem is social media addictions for the common folk, an even higher motivation to keep up with the joneses, jealousy, fake bragging and all that destructive garbage.
And since I don't care about news all that much I don't use social media (except linkedin).
No-one is forcing you to use it...

Well, i know that one and to be exact media networks has been using the social platform as well. That addiction you were talking about has also been one of the reason why there are a lot of shit news.

If before you can only get fake news being shown publicly now anyone can do that and can also hide from those fake accounts.

Well, in my case I still am using it since it is helpful for my part to communicate with my friends
714  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is banning weapons such a good thing? on: December 12, 2018, 03:16:25 PM
It is really very hard to justify if to either ban weapons or not. It is because not banning weapons can really help in a situation that you did not expect to as your protection.

My take on this is that since there are really license gun owners that are responsible enough. It only means that the rule should really have to be critical in this. All type of tests should be performed for all the applicants because what is really happening now is there are a lot of corruption and that was really causing the real problem
715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin bankruptcy on: December 12, 2018, 02:55:05 PM
until now I still can't find a reason why the price of bitcoin can experience a very sharp price decline. because of the current year. never happened in the previous year. from 2009 to 2017
because the price during 2009 to early 2017 never evet skyrocketed to its current price. It may be unstable before but the down margin is not that low since the price is not that high also. Yet during mid 2017 if i am not mistkaen thats the start of bitcoin chapter
716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TechCrunch throws shade at Coinbase on: December 12, 2018, 04:33:49 AM
coinbase is just another subsidiary arm of DCG.co. who seem more interested in the capitalist greed than the bitcoin/blockchain purist mindset.

It is true to say that Coinbase are far more interested in pure profit than they are in being blockchain or bitcoin purists, promoters, or users, but they are not a subsidiary arm of DCG. Digital Currency Group provided early funding to many crypto based projects, including Coinbase, Kraken, Ripple and BitPay, but these projects are not wholly or in part owned by DCG and therefore are not subsidiaries. Having said that, it is very suspicious that Barry Silbert (owner of DCG) is a big promoter of MANA, and apparently bought a ton more over the last few weeks prior to the Coinbase announcing they will start trading it. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the Coinbase staff had done a similar thing. This is exactly what happened during the launch of BCH. They are a shady exchange and there are far better alternatives out there.

Informed,I am not aware of this current moves made by Coinbase but since then coinbase has undoubtedly interested only with their profits. If that is the case then it is not surprising anymore that they will start to make shadu moves for their benefits

718  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos hope you take this advice. Thanks for reading! on: December 11, 2018, 11:34:21 PM
Pros:

It can be a good spamming thread segregation.
It is now easier for the spammers to know there niche. (Eg. Today this spammer wants to swarmed up the eth section then its an easy job for him to do so)
Users who doesnt want to read spamming in eth section can now choose to go to other spamming alt section (eg. Spamming is much better in the xrp section)

Cons

It is still a room for spamming in a nicer way tho hmm
719  Economy / Economics / Re: The relation between Bitcoin and stock market prices - has it changed? on: December 11, 2018, 11:11:59 PM
the two comparisons differ greatly. many investors are more comfortable investing in stocks, because with clear legalization. whereas in cryptocurrency only a few of the stock investors switched to him

So you were saying that you have the same observations with @legendster?

There are really more investors from the stock market as it was more established  if we do talk about the numbers there were really few scenarios that there were only few differences especially when we look at the volume of trading on that day
720  Other / Meta / Re: Give an indication why an account was banned! on: December 11, 2018, 10:46:26 PM
Instead of the reason, there should be a link to the rules, something like this >

"Sorry (username), you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
You have been banned by a forum moderator. Read the rules and you will find out what you were banned for. You may appeal here: banappeals-w6pquw43@theymos.e4ward.com""

That will make them read the rules and not abuse new account they open for appeal.

Good idea , but for instead of putting the rules after getting banned (that they might know in the first place. Well yeah that is not an excuse but when that rules were already given to them starting from their registration then it might lessen this problem.)
