1081  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Accidentally sent LTC to BTC address on: June 14, 2017, 04:29:45 AM
Even if eventually sent it, I expect that it should be returned back to your wallet since there is no way it would be delivered and the moment that is not happening it going back to source. But like the earlier poster said how will that even be possible considering the destination address will be wrong. But if the fund was lost, then I see that as a deficiency on the part of blockchain technology.
1082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Core devs are invested in success of eth...this is why bitcoin has been stalled. on: June 13, 2017, 08:28:51 PM
Read this: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/6gwv4x/yesterday_i_pointed_out_eric_lombrozo_is_an/diu0260/

Makes all the sense in the world.

Eric Lombrozo (core dev and crazy uasf hat troll) is a co eth founder...
I don't even know which side to belong to because even on a daily basis using this forum as a case study where several projects are being shunned out on a daily basis but what I discovered is more are relying on ETH compared to those relied on Block chain but I dont want to agree that bitcoin is static because of that. Bitcoin has been increasing whether in price or in popularity and this is also an indicator that core developers are not just sleeping even though we might not get to have another project breaking out.
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is hoarding bitcoins good or bad for it's growth? on: June 13, 2017, 08:03:12 PM
Hoarding from my point of view is the worst thing to happen to bitcoin and I am sure its not the intention of the founder because it would mean just restricting it to function as a "store of value" which will not increase the amount of users needed for it to achieve full potential of becoming a global currency. Hoarding will mean if I want to come into fresh in bitcoin because of what I have heard, I then cannot do that because I can't get to buy when no one is willing to sell.
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many ICO - new scam scheme? on: June 13, 2017, 03:01:22 PM
I have just noticed that there are too many ICO around and most of the projects are similar to each other. As you can see, we both have monaco ICO and token card ICO. DO you think that it is worth to invest in ICO? I have a strong feeling that there are many people abusing the ICO in order to build a new kind of MLM scheme. People will lose their money once the coin get on some exchange.
Every new ICOs will come out as the next best thing to happen to the crypto-world but in all they are just another repetition of what has happened in the past. However, that is not to say some are breaking the norm of just created a coin at least there is one, sun contract which is all about exploiting solar energy, if the developers are serious then that one gets my attention. The bone of contention is for one to do adequate analysis of what he wants to out money into.
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is about to take over Bitcoin on: June 13, 2017, 10:52:16 AM
The marketcap is moving closer to Bitcoin's, the price is going up like never before. Lets give ETH some time, I can see that is about to bury Bitcoin.

Is it not in the same crypto space that we all are? Market capitalization is just an argument that makes sense to those who are very much inclined to trading and exchange details but to the million users out there who does not even know that discussions like this exist or even taking place, the only crypto currency they know exist is just bitcoin and nothing else matter this set of people are the ones that will make the difference in whether ETH will overtake or not.
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a mess. ETH is a freight train. on: June 13, 2017, 10:17:53 AM
BTC has been stuck in impasse hell for over two years because Adam Back and G. Maxwell want to monopolize transaction processing on their Lightning.  Although Bitcoin seems 'decentralized', Blockstream/Core has complete control over the impasse and only they can break it.  They won't.

On the other hand, ETH is like a heavy loaded freight train going straight down the tracks toward an awesome goal.  Many, many, many companies are now building onto that platform as the future.  That platform is far more dynamic and far more powerful.  It offers many opportunities that don't even exist with Bitcoin.  Many of these features are actively being deployed now, not just a bunch of talk like the people at Bitcoin.  Ethereum is highly organized and orderly.  Even in major crises, they get it sorted and move on in a short time.

ETH will pass Bitcoin in about 2 more months.

It's not too late.  Time to switch or get left behind.

Discussions and arguments like this have happened several times in the past and its always against pro and anti-bitcoin and this issues have remain unabated however,  the simple fact is the reason we are all seeing all those faults of bitcoin is because of the growth of bitcoin that has given room for those lapses which was not there several years ago and the same could happen or even worse for the acclaimed ETH when its adoption can get to what bitcoin is today.
1087  Economy / Economics / Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency? on: June 13, 2017, 07:45:50 AM
i do this question because i´ve read in this website issues with bitcoin, slow mining process, high fees, etc. and i´ve read too good reviews of some altcoins, ethereum (smart contracts), ripple (for transfers between banks), dash and nem. these altcoins called 2.0. could bitcoin become just in future virtual gold reserved to companies and rich people?

Actually, those features you listed there are something that beholds the eye which might move bitcoin to the background considering the current technological development they possesses but at the same time, I see most of these projects complementing each other rather than replacing them, the block chain that backs bitcoin is another fundamental infrastructure useful to a large extent and that several organisation are equally adopting this alone might create a fixed number of years before it can be changed into another software.
1088  Economy / Economics / Re: volatility and transaction fees... on: June 12, 2017, 08:21:03 PM
i think these things overtime will make bitcoin not as valuable.. plus the fact banks (while hated by most), have hundreds of years of reputation behind them and are easy to access... Just reading and learning about the ins and outs of bitcoin make my head hurt and I'm fairly saavy when it comes to most tech
Volatility is a serious issues that when price increases, it goes at a percentage so high and when it does go down, its just massive like what we witnessed today but at the same time it also presents an opportunity for everyone to tap into who feels the price at the time is on the high side to be afforded. The other part is the transaction fees which I feel is still bearable compared to the high price of bitcoin which I believe its still affordable for users of bitcoin.
1089  Economy / Services / Re: Arbitrage script on: June 12, 2017, 02:51:05 PM
This will be a nice concept to behold if it will do the trading accross board without any need for human intervention. I am still waiting for a review to be able to understand how this works because checking all the sites one after the other and the importance of timing could discourage arbitrage trading and I hope the script will consider the fees of the sites and transaction fees of moving the funds.

1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ethereum or zcash for long term? on: June 11, 2017, 08:38:41 PM
hi guys i just got back to cryptocurrency because of ethereum and zcash

i got interested on ethereum since a lot of big companies likes it jpmorgan microsoft intel etc etc

i also stumbled on an article that jpmorgan will use zcash technology of some sort.

right now im mining both. and im thinking to just mine one with better chances for long term growth.

which do you think would be better? z cash or ethereum?
To start with, comparing the two to me won't be a good idea because you have the two you are mining which I am sure they are both getting you the fees at least to pay your bills. Both have the potentials to grow but zcash to me is going long-term with higher profitability than ETH because ETH currently has create a niche for itself but zcash is yet to get to that point which I believe with time, it will get there.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with Monero? on: June 11, 2017, 08:29:12 PM
Hello friends,

How think if I start Gambling site use only Monero.. is this good idea or not?

Thanks.

My contribution to this would be for a new site coming on board, the basic currency is bitcoin which is something to be consider as a start but along the line, you can start pursuing your interest directly. Because by doing that you would have gotten your market share and the moment users are loyal, they won't mind any currency to play with according to your dictates by leveling on the current diffculites bitcoin is witnessing to swerve to your initial plan from the beginning.
1093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler's Fallacy (and you are committing it all the time) on: June 11, 2017, 07:55:12 PM
With what OP have there like others have said, it's nothing new because when it comes to online gambling, no matter your mentality, its not dependent on whether you will win or lose because it has been configured in addition to that the provably fair mechanism which has added to the reputation of gambling sites around here have equally taken off the issue of unnecessary thinking and mentality issues.
1094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing casino games online a good idea? on: June 11, 2017, 07:33:38 PM
It's been weeks now since i play gambling games or we may say casino games, sometime i played it just for fun but when i won, my greediness comes and trying to recover my lose bitcoins and want to earn more but ending up losing all my money. For me gambling is good just to have fun and beat boredness but if you want to make money by playing casino i think it's not a good idea because you never know how many luck you have it's either you lose all your money or double it. but most of the time i lose all my money for you guys what do you think of playing casino games is it good or not?

This is a question you should have asked even before venturing into it rather than asking now. But its still good. I am sure if you had been winning you would have claimed its best source of making money right? However, its gambling and from time immemorial its never a sure source of money as you will win some and lose some based on chance and the way the site have been configured. So for those who knows their way around it, its a good idea but for you, if you cannot afford to lose money, don't just go near it.
1095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling give you lessons in life? on: June 11, 2017, 02:31:46 PM
The only lesson I learnt in gambling is that there is no free money any where no matter how simple it seems and that there is need to take risk at any point in time. Aside that, the higher your risk the higher the reward and vice versa. The lesson from others experience is that if you are not careful, gambling might make you poorer then your peer.
1096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From faucet to thousands on: June 11, 2017, 08:04:04 AM
Do you know a good strategy to increase faucet satoshis (300-500) to couple thousand?
If there is any strategy like this then no one will work and no one will leave faucet claiming for any other thing and in short you won't meet any faucet claiming site because those who are here before you would have claimed everything long after you arrived. But the simple truth is if you can invest the whole 31days in a month, 4 weeks in a month and 365 days in a year, then you can make thousands but don't forget to check every hour of the day.
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Someone won freebitco.in lottery already? on: June 11, 2017, 06:26:41 AM
Even though I have not won anything big there as at the time I was playing there, but I have read several threads to confirm that they won but its slim, as well as the jackpot some one has won it in the past but its not something common or else it would have crashed. But I still feel they need to be commended to have stayed that long in the face of challenges and increase in the price of bitcoin. I wonder how many satishis will be won on hour basis.
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LOW priced cryptocoins with BIG time potential on: June 10, 2017, 05:00:07 PM
Every alt developer will currently believes their coin is still lowly priced and are optimistic of it increasing in the future despite the fact that several others might not believe in it. So what I am saying in essense is that the proof of authenticity is on you or anyone who wants to invest in any coins whatsoever and not on suggestions because we never know anyone allegiance to any coin he/she is suggesting.
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if dogecoin value goes 1$??? on: June 10, 2017, 02:26:19 PM
Hi guys i am having around 1k dogecoin in my account its value currently around 3 $ . I was thinking what if dogecoin value goes to 1$ . I know that dogecoin dev's left project long before and it was considered dead . But even its having market cap of 36,97,14,195 according coincap result .Is there any way of reaching at least 0.1 $ ? . If any highly influential please reply

When it comes to alt coin, the importance of the developers can not be underestimated under any circumstances and that is what is facing Doge coin that after a period of time that its has been in existence, its still grappling for $1 when coins that even launched last month have surpass that level and funny enough that won't happen by magic. Op if you cannot take it any longer by waiting, just sell, contu your losses and move on.
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most promising 50 satoshi or below coins on: June 09, 2017, 04:15:49 PM
I don't know about now since I haven't check in a while, I bought some BlueCoin some days back at a price less than what you have there. Like I said you can check it out to know the current price and you can as well lay your hands on it if you are interested because it could have some potential as well as Squall which you can trade on yobit.
