1061  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy BTC at one exchange, sell it more expensive at another? on: June 19, 2017, 05:49:40 PM
Hey there,

is it possible to buy BTC cheaply at one exchange and sell it more expensive at another one? It seems to me that it might be actually possible.

What are challenges? Are people doing this?

Thank you!

This is very much possible to be done but for me I no longer thinks it worth the stress because at the end of the day one might end up making a loss considering the margin of the reputable exchange sites is not always much and it changes rapidly without any form of notification. Aside that the fees of transferring this coin from one exchange to the other might even erode the little profit and finally the wait period for it to confirm which might even render everything useless by the time it finally drops in the destination wallet, the price has dropped generally across board.
1062  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can anybody guide me to free satoshi? on: June 19, 2017, 03:53:06 PM
Hi i'm new!

I want to search for satoshi for free but do not know how to make a lot of money.

anybody help
thanks
Guy, since you are coming in fresh, you will think claiming faucets will make you big like you have imagined, I understand I have been there and quite a number of people have been there too but the real fact is that after a particular amount of time, I pray you can stay for up to a month, I am sure you will realize its a complete waste of time and you will be making money for some people who make more by you clicking or viewing the adds on their site. The way to earn bitcoin is either to buy and if you cant afford it, work hard for it.
1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if Segwit doesn't activate or activate? on: June 19, 2017, 02:57:07 PM
Altcoin price up or down?

Whether there will be uproar or even a pump no one can say for sure as we can only predict. Although, there is a believe that when there is positive outlook for bitcoin, it therefore means a positive one for ALT as well but this may not always hold as there have been situations that have negate that position. All I can say is that we just all wait for the implementation to happen and that is when we can then all strategize and take the next decision.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying coins without fiat on: June 19, 2017, 02:14:48 PM
Thanks guys!  Cheesy

Do you think 0,02 BTC to IOTA and SIA each is a good long-term investment?
I am sure that is a question you will have to answer yourself because no matter the positive or negative reviews you get, you will still be the one to make the decision couple with the fact that its your money on the line in this case and any outcome from such investment decision will be borne or benefitted by you and only you alone.
1065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Centralized is Ethereum? Should we be Worried? on: June 19, 2017, 12:13:31 PM
Nothing to worry about the unlimited Etherium. 85% of current ETH are in the hands of some whacky Russian dude.

Vitalik has too much influence on Ethereum but saying that he has most of the coins is simply not true. BTW, if that were true then he'd be a massive billionaire. Hopefully, he'll let go of control over time (he said he plans to).

There is no way to know if he has such amount of coins because he didn't come out to announce to everyone that he has such amount, But truth be said if anyone could even own 20% of the amount of coins as successful as ETH in this current time, then its a lot of influence which can be swerve to any where he feels. Lets just hope he uses the influence well or else, I doubt the survival of ETH in the long term.
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Squall Coin NO IPO, Made for you! STILL ALIVE on: June 19, 2017, 11:34:34 AM
the batch two coins have had their design completed and have been sent to the press, so whilst I wait I will be setting up the redeem codes on the squall coin website and getting ready for their launch.

Hi Squall, thanks for the update. I am sure quite a number of people would have been wondering if this is ever going to happen? But alas, the time is almost here. Thank you everyone for the support so far and don't forget to check out https://yobit.net/en/trade/SQL/BTC to get some of squall and you will be glad you did. We are still here and not relenting in our effort.
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How can I buy ethereum? on: June 19, 2017, 11:28:33 AM
Hello, I am a complete beginner. I would appreciate if somebody could direct me in how I can buy ethereum directly (with money: CC or paypal)? Thanks in advance!

In this dispensation, I would pardon you  Grin because a simple search on Google would have provided answers for you. But the means you are providing as your source of funds is something that might create a challenge for because most people dont trust Paypal because of charge back concerns but depending on you country there would be exchangers willing to sell for bank transfers or visit localbitcoin to know someone close to you which you can buy but mostly for bitcoin then you can now buy ETH from exchange sites.
1068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is all over the mainstream media lately on: June 19, 2017, 10:44:21 AM
The media has been very potent in circulating news about a project whether the good or the bad but the issue about bitcoin is that when they propagate any negative news about it, I just have the feeling that they are only doing more in propagating the news about the subject matter because someone somewhere will want to understand what is actually going on about this 'thing' they are talking about while those of us already involved are not worried about the issue.
1069  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin be accepted by USA or will the US try to denounce or embrace? on: June 19, 2017, 06:39:04 AM
Eventually that is what will happen if all their efforts to stop it or even destroy the technology does not yield any results after so much effort and money has been spent on that excercise. The only thing I see as a concern is that they have not being able to find a way to tax bitcoin successfully the moment they achieve that, I am sure they will do it. All the crime associated with bitcoin that they are propagating is just a distraction from their objective in my own opinion.
1070  Economy / Economics / Re: Anti bitcoin/crypto/gift card/redeemable legislature bill proposed in senate on: June 19, 2017, 04:33:55 AM
I am not seeing this as anything anti- bitcoin in any way because what they are doing is just exploiting the loophole which some people have given them the opportunity to exploit despite the fact that they have not even foxed their own issues politically. At the same time, I see this as a way for slowing down the growth of bitcoin but they cannot stop it unless they have the key to destroy everything all together which is something very difficult to achieve. When a group of people make a resolution to pursue a course if action, nothing is stopping them.
1071  Economy / Economics / Re: How to TAX Bitcoin. An easy way ! on: June 18, 2017, 08:40:47 PM
In my country, I have to fill a form every year for the tax department, including my year end bank statement and the salary bill.
Together with some major bills for insurance and healthcare, that's all they get.

So I can hide cash under the bed, or have an overseas account, or have some Gold bars, etc. The goverment has to thrust me quite a bit.
They can check some transfers, but if you like to hide it, you can do it.

So the actual way of getting the real numbers is quite bad.

In Bitcoin
If the Tax department makes it a rule by law, that you have to report every BTC address you own, or every wallet you own ...

All problems solved, because then the Department has also the addresses of the petrol station and the deli you spend money.
In no time the system knows which tax counts here and can claim the respective amount from both sides.

Sure it is still possible to hide Bitcoins, but then it is illegal.

...or did I miss something?

I really would want to know the country you are residing because what it means to me is that the government of your country AHS equally recognise bitcoin as a currency and that is why it can be allowed to be disclosed when filling the returns to the revenue agencies, over here its not like that so we still have something to hide under. At the same time it will be outrightly illegal not to disclose because that would amount to tax evasion which is criminal in nature that could earn one a prison sentence.
1072  Economy / Economics / Re: The legalization of bitcoin. on: June 18, 2017, 12:47:30 PM
Do you think if we create an initiative group for the legalization of bitcoin. To find uninhabited island, to announce the collection of funds for its acquisition. Everyone who contribute will receive a piece of this island. Based on the state of Bitcoin official currency of this state to make a bitcoin. Do you like this idea?

The idea is a very good one but the issue of concern here is that we have all mortgaged our freedom to the institution called government. Because if we all agree that we want to have a property there, then how do we migrate considering the fact that leaving from a country to another involves owning a passport and to which country are we saying we are going to and how will government allow us leave out respective countries among other concerns.
1073  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Problems with CEX.IO? on: June 18, 2017, 10:25:46 AM
I've been trading on CEX for about 6 months with no issues. Recently I sent a fiat deposit from a friends account that CEX could not accept. My error of course. CEX hasn't returned the money and their customer service is extremely vague / non-committal. It has been nearly 2 weeks now and I am beginning to suspect there is something going on at that has not been communicated. Is anyone else having problems with CEX too?
I don't think what you painted is enough reason to conclude that there is a problem with the site since the mistake originally came from you. The way it l, the process of refunds is not as simple as it is. Even the bank here some few years back when one is debited in error, it takes as much as 20 working days to get a reversal, the same issue might be happening to your funds might be due to various procedures necessary involved in making that happen but that does not mean that their customer care should not be more forthcoming towards you.
1074  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: June 15, 2017, 06:21:37 AM
Have you ever wondered how would the world's economy be like in the future as a cashless society?

Perhaps, with the increased traction of blockchain acceptance nowadays, could lead to the creation of digital fiat currencies powered by blockchains that are managed by governments themselves. With this in mind, there would be no need for physical cash, as digital fiat currencies would provide many advantages such as quick settlement, global payments, full transparency, implants use on citizens to make payments, and more.

If this becomes a reality, which I'm sure that it will, it would radically transform our lives for the better and reduce criminal activity as a result of the full transparency and auditability that a digital fiat currency would have thanks to the power of the blockchain technology.

Also, it makes me wonder if cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin would exist by that time, or will they co-exist with digital fiat currencies.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this.  Wink
Cashless society is what the world is actually tending towards without even taking a taking a break. Ever since I joined bitcoin community, I have never seen a physical bitcoin coin the only thing I know is that its available in collectible sections still I have carried out several transactions that's cashless. When it comes to the banking system, everything is now being designed that you can virtually do everything your phone or ATM without having to touch cash. That's where we are heading to and if anyone is willing to feature in that future one needs to be ready.
1075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you start gambling? (Because of BCT Promotion?) on: June 14, 2017, 10:44:19 PM
For me, I had started gambling right from the days of small boys but strictly based on skills like who plays tennis the best or who play football well in terms of teams in which I later left due to getting older.but bitcointalk actually leads me to the online version iin some of the signatures I have clicked and this has open my eyes to other opportunities embedded in gambling.
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Name your favorite cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2017, 09:08:55 PM
My very own favorite would still be squall coin because I believed in it and that's why I represent it. This is a coin that has been in existence for over 3years with the support still coming even from people who left the forum and still come back at the same time the promoter is not resting neither is he scamming anyone. After my first choice can now come others such as ETH or ripples etc.
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens for Token Recieved from ICO turn out to be scam?? on: June 14, 2017, 03:04:19 PM
I am seeing lots of ICO is happening in altcoin section . Some of really looks like really promising projects. But turn out be scam. what happens for the token distributed while ICO Huh

There are no two ways to something like that when thats token has been worthless from the beginning and that where you see a lot of noise for those who had partook in one bounty or the other, whether translation or signature campaigns even the manager of the campaign is not spared because all are expected to be paid in the token and they ended up doing free job for an individual that is morally deficient.
1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the ICO is scam on: June 14, 2017, 01:01:54 PM
Crappy website
No team/about tab in the website
You can't find the team member's names, faces, and/or their linkedins

All this features you have there are for Noobies scammers who can easily be fished out by those things that are obvious and even someone who is not techie can find out even without too much stress because I have seen several scams carried out that was able to bypass all those and more checks. However, I would say there no sure way to stay away from scams but it can be controlled with being careful and reading the constructive criticisms by reputable members and others with content.
1079  Economy / Economics / Re: What don't you like about Banks and Banks controlling your money on: June 14, 2017, 09:20:50 AM
Banks have had it's advantage but the major issue I have with them is the control they have on your money after they had cajole you to open an account with them, they then give a list of restrictions on your same money you earned by telling you the maximum you can withdraw, the ban on your account in case you have not submitted some form of ID, they charge your with or without your authorisation and equally with government backing meaning there is nothing one can do about it.
1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Live]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | Multi Wallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: June 14, 2017, 06:08:52 AM
Is there any information about how many investors joined the crowdsale  and bought tokens so far?
I can`t seem to find such information.
How can such information be verified?
I`m sorry if my questions sound stupid,i`m not very familiar with crowdsales.

Although, the question will actually need to be answered by the devs or by Lauda but the way I think its structured is that the total tokens will be distributed based on the amount raised which means that maybe by the time I see that say 2million $ has been raised, then I calculate the amount of tokens I might likely received, then I might be discouraged to invest or encouraged to put more money as the case may be.
