41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If satoshi shows he has still controll of all of his coins what would happen ? on: January 26, 2024, 11:19:42 AM
Aside from a whale alert, nothing would pretty much happen unless Satoshi would transfer it to a certain exchange which I doubt that he will sell his Bitcoin.

Anyways, this wild idea has been always discussed and my opinion would still be the same. Satoshi Nakamoto would never reveal himself or even will give anyone a hint that he is here in the Blockchain, doing something. For sure he won't do anything that will risk revealing his true identity and things that won't benefit him in return.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Gold, land which better? on: January 26, 2024, 04:00:23 AM
Why not just save from your allowance and then invest it on Bitcoin. The only way to convince them is to show them that you can really make a profit in Bitcoin rather than depositing it in a bank, saving money won't make you rich but investing it will.

However, don't forget to do some research first before buying, for you to be able to buy at a very good price, don't just randomly buy out of nowhere because you wanted to.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: The productive capacities of an individual to the society. on: January 25, 2024, 03:29:44 PM
Personally, I am inspired with an utmost believe that the ability to accumulate the energy and knowledges to achieve a goal is aspired by when an individual is independently reliable to itself without the reliances of hoping on someone else even though there is a reputable. The essence is that you stays mindedly and focus with the agilities to reach out to your goals and targets.
The government and the governed have separate responsibilities assigned to them by the Constitution. To have a prosperous society both entities must perform their roles.  The government must protect lives and properties and also ensure basic amenities are available for the citizens to enjoy. The citizens must also live peacefully, pay taxes, and ensure that these amenities are not misused, vote during elections, etc. But in my location both the government and citizens have failed to carry out their roles this is why the nation is underdeveloped. The government and the citizens have embraced corruption and this is why the nation is stagnated.

But as individuals should strive to contribute our quota to national development by being economically productive and politically sensitive. Regardless of the problems we are facing, we should work hard to ensure that we live a financially stable life. And also help advance our nation in any good way we can.

NB: I am finding it difficult to understand your post and will advise that you write using simple words to state your points. Using conflicting words makes your post hard to comprehend. I am also confused by the word "masses", I think the meaning should be the people and not the government.

I don't know about the Government attending to their responsibilities assigned to them by the constitution.

Because in my experience, what's all matter to them is how to collect taxes from their citizens as much as possible. They don't even have a solid plan regarding about how to make their citizens be productive and have a much better wage regardless of whatever job they have to bring out their capabilities as an individual in the society.

Nowadays, most of the government are just a joke. It's just a way for them to steal a lot of money without being punished by the law because you have the power to bend the rules.
44  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay discrimination on: January 25, 2024, 12:12:48 PM
I also don't understand why they have different kind of treatment.

The other one has a diploma and the other one don't have or maybe a college undergraduate, nevertheless, they both work to build something or to create something, so there should be no discrimination and they both deserve equal treatment when it comes to salary. However, since we live in a cruel world where power always bully those who are weak, that's why skilled laborer or any blue collar job employees gets only few bucks for their hard work.
45  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Implications of War on Individuals on: January 25, 2024, 11:28:37 AM
I wonder how you can think about business when there's a war in your country.

Most of countries will use their armed forces to handle it, but if they lack of participants, they will force their civilians especially 18+ years old men to join in war and they also open for volunteers. The country will give a support about foods, place to sleep, and weapon, while the women and kids will stay in the most safest place.

So when there's a tension in your country, it's better to fly to other country. Don't too late because civilians will not able to escape except you have a duty to escape.

War is inevitable because there are few organizations that earn profit during war e.g. weapon seller.

Money is the reason why most of the bad things are happening around the globe, you name it.

People are too corrupt, greedy, and always think about money, fame, and power of course to dominate anything that goes against them. Instead of helping each other, we're too busy competing with each other, taking each other's weaknesses as an advantage, fooling each other, just to gain cruel power. War is nonsense, you exchange bombs to each other, destroy the mother earth where we live, leaving those powerful countries with money but a very polluted devastated surroundings.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: January 24, 2024, 03:16:52 PM
Understanding our personal self would be an advantage to us since we can do things that would always profit us to earn more. Once we understand ourselves as a gambler, there are some certain decisions that we don't have to neglect because they could help us become a better gambler. Ego have destroyed man to people due to there over confidence that they are going to make so much money in a particular bet. Once we understand what to do and how to do it, it would strengthen us to achieve more when we bet because we can always make profits when things falls to our fall when have gain superb experience.

This has a valid point.

One must know himself first before doing anything that could be life changing. It's not that you doubt yourself, but you don't want to end up losing everything at once because you don't know yourself enough especially in terms of making decisions. In gambling, you should be rational. You shouldn't let your emotions get into your way because that will just only be a nuisance. You should know your characteristics, whether it is suitable for you to be a responsible gambler, and you should know your strengths and weaknesses so you could plan ahead with a goal in mind as well as limitations.

Too much confidence can be harmful because you might overestimate your capability than what you could actually do. And being too afraid could hinder you into achieving things. So just do things in moderation.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a social or casual good guesser make better gambling prediction carrier? on: January 24, 2024, 02:33:26 PM
I don't think gambling and guessing are similar. They are very different from each other in my perspective. Guessing merely relies on intuition and luck. You don't have working knowledge about the topic so you just shoot your shot to guess what answer would be correct. Meanwhile, in gambling you can analyze the situation to prevent the possible outcome. You can base on data from previous games for instance, and check the updated and relevant information that could help you determine which trend or odds will the game have. It's not merely relying on luck or intuition. Rather it's a combination of having the necessary information, skills, and luck to predict a possible winning team.

This example is related in sports betting that doesn't really rely only on impulsive decision or answer like what your workmate did in your guessing game. Gambling involves risks. So I'd rather not get information to someone who's just used to guessing because there's no at stake and consequences when you get it wrong in that thing.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 24, 2024, 01:56:51 PM
I don't think patience counts for anything in gambling. Any gambling game has its own time frame and winning depends more on your choice and luck than on patience. Of course patience plays an important role in our life, but this skill is more suitable for investments, because in this sphere the ability to wait very often helps to break even a not the best deal.
Patience can help a gamblers for betting panickly. and if someone bet in relax way then it can help them to decrease lossing chance if they loss it will not a big amount. so patience can help but it can't help to quite gambling. It is normal to lose in gambling.  No one can win alone.  So if one wants to continue gambling then he must have the patience to continue gambling with low amount bets for a long period of time.  Then the amount of his loss will be less. But if you bet a large amount to make a quick profit without being patient, your loss will be boosted and the possibility of a big loss will increase a lot.

Indeed, patience can keep you from making stupid decisions. Sometimes people want to buy or to do something today, but later on, they'll regret buying or doing it. If you will have longer patience to think about it first, you can save yourself from possible trouble or wrong decision. If you could take time thinking about if it is really worth it, do it, so that you won't regret it when it's already done and you can no longer do something about it.

Additionally, you can use your patience on waiting before you bet again. Continuous betting can be very risky especially if you've done it in such a haste. Take your time to pause and reflect on it whether it will be a good call to bet once more or to stop and let some time pass before deciding again.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to win a game given to you in the dream? on: January 24, 2024, 01:17:43 PM
No, I haven't done this yet simply because I'm not gullible or desperate enough to risk into something that isn't well-thought of. I'd rather just save my money instead of betting it without putting much thinking and research. It will be a disaster if you will stake what all you have. Although they say it's better that you try rather than you don't and regret it later on, but I think it isn't very much applicable when it comes to gambling. Although of course, you do you. If you see gambling as something profitable and views it as an income generator, then go ahead. Just make sure to only risk what you can afford to lose. Never go all in if you aren't financially stable.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: January 23, 2024, 10:58:38 AM
A few days ago, my house was being cleaned. Three people are cleaning the front and back yards of the house. One of them was playing slots and I saw him. Actually, I wanted to suggest he try sports betting because I often see the guy watching football matches and he does have knowledge about many teams. So I was wondering if I could introduce him to sports betting so he could use his ability to predict every game he knows about.

Besides that, I just feel that if he deposited $10 = IDR 150,000 into a gambling site just to play slots, he would probably suffer a complete loss. But if he can place bets on sports betting, there is a possibility of him winning some money on small bets. Wouldn't that be an advantage for him?

If you were in this situation, what would you do? Introduce him to sports betting or let him stick to playing slots. Yesterday, I just let it go but we still often meet at other activities.

Are you close with him or not? If not, let him mind his own business. If I were in his place, I would be surprised if you will approach me and suddenly tell me what needs to be done because of your mere observations only. Maybe yes, he's fond of sports, but not really have what it takes just yet to bet on sports. Or maybe he's not into complex game that takes updated information and skills to predict the right outcome so he isn't participating in one. There might be various reasons why he isn't doing sports betting when in fact he has the knowledge of football and other teams.

You might want to share your experience and just start a conversation from there. Not really to encourage him to do sports betting, but to give him a perspective if he's not very much aware of it, if that's the case.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Increased Gambling Risk for the Younger Generation on: January 23, 2024, 10:23:19 AM
With the easy accessibility of the online gambling sites and tools, the younger generation is more involved in gambling. The risk for them is not only that they will lose money but gambling at such a high rate and at the age of teenage will cause them a lot of problems like lack of physical activity or no interest in the studies as they will more inclined to get easy entertainment in the form of gambling.
The appearance of Internet has pros and cons then the existence of blockchain cryptocurrency-based online gambling has pros and cons.

I agree with you that teenagers need to be protected when they have yet matured in physical and mental aspects. But to be honest, I really can not know how to achieve it in sense of 100% success. Like proposals to KYC all cryptocurrency wallets, addresses just to control citizen money flow and tax better.

It is unrealistic and I see similar unrealistic hope to block teenagers completely from gambling.

In this modern world, the technology is advancing rapidly. While gambling casinos can add additional security measures, it will only do so much because teens can keep up with its pace just to satisfy their need to play and bet. Indeed, there is still no foolproof way to distinguish whether the account owner is of legal age or not because KYC can be bypassed by using identification cards of their parents or friends. They can even have a fake ID done in order to get inside a physical casino establishment, and it will be rare to be caught especially in places wherein security isn't as tight as it should be.

Which is why it's essential to teach your kids at home about how to behave and how to be responsible. The moment they become curious about gambling, it's your duty to educate them so they won't be tricked by the benefits of it, without fully knowing the possible heavy consequences waiting for them when things go wrong. Teenagers should be aware of the do's and don'ts so when the time they seek to experience gambling on their own, they will be wary of the possible impacts to their overall well-being.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: January 23, 2024, 08:56:24 AM
My friends aunty called him on the call while we were conversing today, and  she was complaining about how her son has withdrawn #20,000 approximately $15 from her account through mobile transfer to play bet and he lost it all.
She complained bitterly and pitifully because she struggled to safe such amount of money.

Now, the mum is calling on everyone she could to intervene, discipline the child and force him to provide the money in any means he can without the concern of how he could refund the money.

Question: would she be so disheartened and mad as this if the son had won the bet on a multi million price?
Dear fellows, let's assume you are the mom, what would be your state of mind on this context?

Stealing is bad whether or not it was used in good or bad thing. Nothing can ever justify an action no matter how heavy the situation is. If you stole a money, that is counted as a sin. And every sin has its corresponding punishment and consequences even if you are blood related, no matter how small or big the amount may be. Like what they say, the end doesn't justify the means. So if I were in the aunt's place, I will still be mad because of the fact that my son had stolen something valuable from me. If he badly wants it, he could have asked. And if he badly needed it, he could have done something to gain it in proper manner.

If someone can't be trusted with small things, how much more in bigger things? It should be known to his son that his mother will get mad for doing something unlawful and shows no moral compass. Since he stole it, it is just right for him to pay back what doesn't belong to him in the first place. And this is why people have negative view on gambling. If you don't have the means to gamble, just stay put. If you can't, work your ass off to have funds to stake, and do not bother other people.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your view on this? Is it fun or addiction? on: January 23, 2024, 06:23:23 AM
So in weekends in my departmental WhatsApp group, we just randomly talk about soccer bets and sometimes drop a particular game and keep it open for correct score prediction to be made on it, and the first person with the correct score goes home with a data subscription, this has been going on for almost two years now and people have gotten used to it without knowing it.

This is one of the chat I just bumped into by one of us in the group chat and at this point I feel most of my friend have made it compulsory to always gamble every weekend.

Do you see this as addiction or just catching of fun?

Mind you, we just enjoy the moment and might just joke around with people making predictions based on the teams,  they love but we are mostly gamblers at our different ends.

I think it's pretty much BS. Gambling is nowhere near to give you generational wealth, unless you are a casino owner. It sure is not impossible, but it will take a really long while before you can be successful as a gambler. Mostly, it will not really come from being a full time gambler yourself, but having other means to have income such as being a live streamer or content creator about gambling, being an affiliate or ambassador, and having referral links and codes to generate more profit. But if you will just solely rely on gambling, you need to have strong mental health for it and lots of funds. Additionally, you must have a strong sense of discipline and responsibility so that you won't get lost in the process of achieving your goal to have more money.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 22, 2024, 03:57:41 PM
Yep gambling is getting better day by day. Day by day your experience increase you are understand the strategy for playing . You how how to make profits. You know how to play profitable bets. At the end of everything day by day it's getting better. Because of you practice.

Do you gamble every day? Do you always get victory in every gambling you do every day? and if you lose, do you learn something that creates an opportunity to win easily?
If you think gambling every day is good, you should do that. As you said, "Yep, gambling is getting better day by day", that means you do it yourself, right? and I'm curious if you gamble every day, does it make a profit? and if you think gambling every day is good with increasing experience and understanding gambling strategies, can it lead to consistent winnings?

Do you think gambling will provide consistent profitable wins? Therefore, you gamble every day so you consider the gambling you do every day to be good. I think it's actually the opposite, with the fact that gambling is just a game of chance, so it's impossible to always win, even though gambling every day in my opinion will not increase your chances of winning, nor will it increase your understanding of gambling. The chance of losing at gambling cannot be corrected or fixed, because it has become a certain thing. You should think again about this, because you will feel bad if you gamble every day.

Indeed. It won't really be sustainable in the long run unless you have many funds at your disposal to use just to risk everyday. But it will defeat the purpose because sometimes, you might even end up losing more instead of actually winning. You might feel that you are acing betting or is winning against the house with consecutive wins in the past days, only to lose more when you stake today or the following day. You see, nothing is ever guaranteed. So you have to limit yourself and set boundaries in terms of financial aspect and time. You should learn how to manage things properly so you won't regret a thing later.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: January 22, 2024, 03:12:48 PM
First thing first, before you begin to gamble, you need to first choose wether or not that you be a responsible gambler or becoming a problematic gambler, the choice is then left for you to make and come out with you reality at some point in time, because for sure it becomes very easy to spot when you have not set out a guide or rule to follow and at that point you already choosen that be a problematic gamblers.

But if you have a well planned rules and regulations and guidelines that guide your conducts on the casinos, it will be hard before you behave in a strange ways that outsiders will even notice that you gamble.

Who would even want to be a problematic gambler? Before someone enters gambling, they don't really decide whether or not to be a responsible or problematic gambler. It just comes out of them during the process. Once you are already gambling, the circumstances will tell and show what really lind of person you are, and what are your principles and characteristics. Along the way, gambling will show your true colors. Your attitude will be manifested the moment you are already in it, not before. So it's essential to have a self-reflection whether you can withstand the challenges that you may face. And when the time comes, what can you do and what will your approach be once you face a difficult situation such as temptation to prolong gambling routine because it's satisfying and entertaining.

You can sometimes break rules even if you don't mean to especially if you don't have the character that is built against enticing offers. So what you should really look forward into molding is your attitude, character, behavior, and discipline.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: January 22, 2024, 02:39:45 PM

Good for you that you're a changed man despite the allures of addiction, I've seen a lot of people say that if you're addicted, just seek help but they forgot the part where you have to be the one that's ready for the change and that the realization that what you're doing is only going to hurt you is going to be the start towards rehabilitation for any addiction. Although I still you're not fully recovered since you're still gambling from time to time, it's still is a moment for me to be proud of you and many others of similar situation because you've overcome something that a lot have tried to fight but either succumbed to the deepest pits of addiction and just gave it all up or died from it (although it's the worst case, gambling addicts have a low chance of getting to this stage).

When it comes to gambling addiction treatment and recovery, one's acceptance of his true condition, alongside with his willingness and determination to heal from it will really play an important role in the process. It's essential for one to acknowledge and accept that you are addicted. Some might be in denial at first, but it's needed for oneself to stop escaping the reality that you have something to work on to. To have a successful gambling rehabilitation, you must come clean to yourself and accept that you need help and counsel from the professionals. It will not really work as intended if you will hold yourself back because you don't want to acknowledge that you have to undergo to something and you have to remove things in your life that doesn't add value.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A brief advice for the newbie gamblers. on: January 20, 2024, 02:44:03 PM
5% of income from gambling is enough, and it can give us pleasure. We can limit our gambling activities with that amount of money and will not be influenced to continue gambling because it will exceed the money limit. We realize that slot games can be addictive so we have to really limit the use of money. Many people have been tempted to play slots and even end up using a lot of money, but they don't win. They also try to buy the Bonus feature, which is expected to provide big wins accompanied by large multipliers, but that will only increase the number of losses even more. That's where they start to get curious about slot games so they will continue to play them until they can win.

Gambling discipline should really be practiced so that people won't fall into addiction. It's common for people to fall into the trap of having bad gambling habits because oftentimes, they get past through their set boundaries. They keep on saying "just this time, it won't happen again" or "one last time" so they can ease their guilt. But little did they know that they have been going out of their limitation for a long time that it starts to harm their fund and time allocation, as well as their behavior. Once it becomes a continuous act, it becomes a habit that can be hard to eliminate. Hence, it's essential to watch over yourself to avoid this from happening.

Betting what you can only afford can possibly prevent you from addiction. It can also prevent you having financial troubles because you are willing to let go what you risked. Coming up with 5% of your income that won't hurt your budget for other things can be a good way to entertain yourself, without compromising your life.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins ? on: January 20, 2024, 01:45:04 PM
Nope.

Instead, I am so proud since I can buy all the things I want and especially my needs without asking money anymore from my mom since I was 20 years old. We're not rich, not even in the middle class, that's why I knew that she appreciates it big time that I'm helping her with something. Bitcoin is money, since we should convert it first to fiat for us to pay our bills, buy foods, clothes and other things that we need.

I don't spend it on my wants, but mostly on my needs so I don't regret anything 'till now.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: January 20, 2024, 12:45:36 PM
We can't say that it was a mistake because it is not even our Bitcoin and it's not our business to decide what to do with the Bitcoin of other people.
It might be a waste of opportunity to others, but maybe that someone has a valid reason why he did spend his Bitcoin to pay a house rent, (1) For experience, (2) maybe he just don't have any money on that period of time. For me, as long as you spend it on the things you need, it will never be a waste.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin an opportunity like land on: January 20, 2024, 11:31:01 AM
Both are good investment, if you have both then you're lucky.

It is true that land as a property is such a good investment, however, the tax you're going to pay per month or per year is also a pain in the ass if you don't put anything in your land, like raising livestock on it or plants fruits and vegetables to generate more profits. Here in my country, land that are near the roads pitch much higher prices than those who are in a very high places like in farms near the forest.

While Bitcoin, if you bought some and hold for long term, it is all about waiting game until you hit the price where you're contented about selling it, no hassle at all. Though each of them has their own advantages, so either of them is a good investment in short.
