1021  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: March 17, 2023, 02:07:26 PM
Losses has the best format to teach both money management and risk control. Profit for a newbie is like a blind folder. It builds confidence for massive loss in the future. Most of my strategies was perfected during my losses because i saw what wasn't working for me and it helped me improve on what did work. If there are no losses there will never be a better understanding on how currencies move both in forex and crypto.

Correct.

But not having any losses since day 1 is impossible, unless you're really good in everything. Not losing any trade or commiting any mistakes doesn't mean that you will not have a better understanding, in fact it is the other way around. Winning could give you more boost up in your confidence in trading, which will help you to grow quickly than others. However, when you first experience losses after a very long time of continuous successful trades, I bet that will hit hard.
1022  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Being drunk while trading what was your experience on: March 17, 2023, 01:12:12 PM
I don't think it's a good idea, unless he's just monitoring his trades that he entered already before that drinking session. But if you're gonna make a trade while drinking, I doubt that you're gonna make a very good technical analysis while your head is aching because of alcohol. Trading needs a lot of focus and good decision making, and a beer parlor is not a good place to do such thing.
1023  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The patience to hold is a gift on: March 17, 2023, 07:47:16 AM
For small and medium investors who start with a low amount, the potential ROI may not be significant in the short term. However, if they hold onto their investment for a longer period, there is a possibility that they may see significant returns if the price of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies increases over time.

Understanding the underlying risks attached to the asset in quoteis very important.

I agree.

Not all coins except from the top coins and other big coins has the potential to be profitable in long term. Random altcoins that you're gonna buy because it's cheap and you can afford it doesn't mean it is worth to hold for the long run, most of the time, it will just make you regret holding shitcoins. Bitcoin however is a different topic, holding it for the long run after you bought it in a dip gives you confident that it will definitely gives you profit in the long run.
1024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Beginners Should Not Go For Future Trading? on: March 16, 2023, 01:05:54 PM
It's not that they shouldn't, it's more like proceed with caution. You'll never know what's waiting for you in trading unless you try it yourself. Let the result help you to realize something, maybe it's something you need to improve to continue futures trading or something that you need to realize for you to stop it. Future trading is a risky kind of trading especially if you're not taking it seriously, like just relying on "free" signals.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: March 15, 2023, 03:12:31 PM
~snip~
You shouldn't rely on AI completely, that's for sure, but it is still not known whether using our knowledge is better than AI's recommendations. If we knew everything and were always right, then asking AI about something would be pointless, I agree. But the thing is that we know from our own experience that we are often wrong in making decisions. Too often to rely only on our knowledge or on our feeling what to do. We need a support, and AI can provide us with that support.

There is a limit to what our brains can calculate intuitively though.

For example, you don't need to calculate the math for throwing a rock and hitting something. You can do this without "thinking" because our brains evolved in that direction. It's just native to us, we just "know" how fast and in which direction to throw the rock. No need for physics equations.

But, for many other things we're actually quite bad at this. For example statistics. We have a very poor native feeling for statistics. In those cases we need math because our intuition is often wrong. See Monty Hall paradox as an example.

With ChatGPT and other AI systems we will be able to tap into maths in a more natural way.

This has a point.

As humans, our capabilities has limitations. Most of the time, people suck at math. And that's already a big problem if you want to engage in gambling industry because you have to do a lot of math, from placing your bets, to calculation of the risks and the probability of winning based on the odds and the information at hand. So it will be a tough time if you'll only rely from your stock knowledge. You really have to do a research to make sure you are betting on the right choice.

However, despite our limitations, we shouldn't fully rely on using AI to predict outcomes then bet on it negligently. We could use AI to check and compare predictions but not rely on it solely because AI won't also guaranteed a win despite it having many resources. Since sometimes, the resources stored are outdated and there are other angles that haven't been analyzed in terms of considering other factors which might be relevant and timely.
1026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 15, 2023, 12:16:32 PM
Street gambling isn't really ideal in terms of privacy and safety. This is because from the name itself, it is done on the streets. Meaning, you have no specific place which is secured enough to gamble with your money. You will be playing with different set of people with different backgrounds and personality. You will get to play with the good ones if you are lucky enough, and bad ones if you are that unfortunate. Of course, we label them, based on our standard and moral grounds. So determining which is which will be a subjective manner.

Aside from playing with different personalities and no enclosed space, anyone planning to do street gambling must be wary of thieves. Sometimes, these robbers are engaging or pretending to be a fellow gambler, but the truth is, they are just watching closely which person to target after the game. So this will put your life at risk and at the same time, your winnings. So yes, street gambling isn't really for everyone. If you have the guts to play it despite its cons then go for it. Otherwise, just pick a reputable physical casino and play in the premises of it to avoid unwanted attention of robbers and get to enjoy the ambiance as well.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free sports betting tip on: March 15, 2023, 11:43:11 AM
I have 10 years experience in sports betting and i will be posting daily free sports tips

I will post parlays for football and basketball ' NBA '

My goal is to build community .

We will start today and i will be preparing two parlays .

Your idea isn't a bad one though only that we have in recent times had such projects as this promising to providing winning tips and predictions only for persons to lose good amount of money  after trusting the process which ended up not working. And mind you your 10 years of experience is not a yardstick to measuring how well your games will play but a prove of previous ones you have won can be convincing if you do post them in this your thread too.
And moreover, am one of those that don't interest themselves in commutative games (parlays) due to experiences where subsequent games may play giving you hope of winning only to be disappointed by the outcome of the game's carried forward. Anyways, let see how it goes with your tips eventuality.

While OP has good intention of helping fellow gamblers, I think this will be a 50/50 situation.

There might be a chance that players who are interested in parlays will actively join the community and thus, will make an active community which the members can exchange opinions and suggestions aside from the main posts daily by OP to gather more information, knowledge, and perspective. However, of course, players will have to consider whether this will be worth the shot. Since like you said, ten years of experience doesn't constitute to a guaranteed right prediction and winning. Since the ways and strategies might be a little outdated or might not work for others the same way it worked for him.

But yeah, I still wish this will be a success, just never set an expectation too high though to avoid disappointment.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 15, 2023, 11:01:41 AM
This is a habit that new players have, and it's not only in casinos or gambling I have no idea what people typically think when they skip reading the rules and regulations, which is why it usually doesn't work out well and you see them breaking the rules or losing money. Because they neglected to read the forum rules, most newcomers end up being banned from the community. It's either ignorance or negligence.
Some are not ignorance or negligence, some people only want to take advantage of some promotional offers, especially the newcomer 100% deposit reward, some people do not use it to joke and they can like to create more account to collect more offers for deposit because the offers are limited to certain amount of money in some gambling sites. The last gambling site I opened recently to take advantage of the offer, it was limited to $133.

Some people are from banned country but they want to gamble and if they use some of the gambling sites, they may be able to gamble, but if they win, the gambling site will check for all these and if found to be playing from a restricted country or having multiple accounts, they will not let him be able to withdraw his money and also ban him from using their gambling site.

In these scenario above, you can see how some people may know the terms of service but just want to be smart.

This has a point.

Most people already knew what is stated in the TOS, yet they still choose to break it because they want to take advantage of the promotions and bonuses. This is common and rampant in sign up bonuses and free spins wherein players create multiple accounts just to get those perks for newbies when they aren't newbies and it's already stated that it is prohibited to create multiple accounts. Sometimes, the people who even rant are those offenders. Which is really courageous of them since they had the guts to even complain of the suspension or banning of their accounts, knowing it to themselves they did unusual activities which lead to their account being compromised.

To cut it short, some people are not ignorant or stupid, rather they just want to make the most out of something they saw worth profiting.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is for the strong. on: March 15, 2023, 10:26:22 AM
Hmm, I think the most appropriate one would be "Gambling is for the risk takers". Simply because in gambling, there's always a risk of losing. The moment you decided to gamble, there's already a certain percentage of you winning or losing the game. Your probability will not only depend on your knowledge, strategy, and luck, but also to the rtp or odds of your account. That is why it is important to have the information, knowledge, and skills at the very least to fill the gap from luck and odds.

Adding to the reason why it shouldn't be 'gambling is for the strong', gamblers tend to be fragile and weak the moment they lose track of what repercussions lie ahead during they give into addiction. Not being able to discipline yourself isn't for the strong. Letting your emotions take control over you instead of setting it aside for your aim isn't a characteristic of a strong person. Just like your friend, he got carried away on chasing winnings and perhaps chasing the fun to the point he lost track of reality. Then now, he's suffering the consequences, the regrets and what could have been's if he only did better. But it's not yet too late though. He can still start over from a clean slate and make progress his future self would be proud of.
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some of my big losses (Gamble Responsibly) on: March 15, 2023, 09:29:00 AM
This is what I'm waiting. With your previous post, I already thought that many people might ask you for advice since you won such a huge amount with using only $300. Winning hundred thousands of dollars with only hundred as your initial deposit will really make people curious about how you did it and thus, encourage them to gamble by thinking they also have the chance to win such amount. There's really nothing wrong with using your experience as their driving force or motivation to gamble better for a chance of winning. But of course, they should be reminded that in gambling, there's no guaranteed winning despite how sure and confident you are on the bet you've made. And I'm really glad you posted once again to address this issue.

There's always two sides in gambling: the good and the bad one. It's either you win or lose, there's nothing in between. Hence, you must be careful not to make impulsive decisions that could cost you so much and will make you hate yourself later on. Losing is a part of anyone's gambling journey. But its percentage can be lowered with the right approach and possessing the necessary qualities such as being disciplined, knowledgeable, strategic, and with a little mix of luck.
1031  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: March 14, 2023, 01:05:34 PM
~

True. Word of mouth spreads quickly when it comes to better services. There're lots of gambling sites already and all of them  offers the same, it only depends on what bonuses they give and some perks alongside different marketing strategy, but most them have a common problem which is customer support. I have been watching the sidelines on those gambling sites and sometimes do gambling or bet whenever I feel betting, and most common things I encounter is because of lack of customer service.

That's why I think that investing in customer service is more important than investing in advertising, and maybe even more important than investing in some sophisticated site design. Make it simple, but without bugs and properly working, and gamblers will be drawn to your site by things that are more important to them: a good customer service, fast withdrawals and stuff.
Mate, you have said well. I personally prefer gambling or casinos to really put efforts or spend some resources on their customer care service because it has the power to make or mar any organization be it casino or others. I have gradually followed up cases and complaint on this platform and majority of them are customer care related by which some customer care are not responsive in any way. Customer Care Service is one of the strongest department of any business organization because they attend to customers mostly at every hour of the day. So therefore it is pertinent to say that the success and failure of every organization lies on them. So it is advisable that organizations give attention to their customer care department so as to know what is happening. It takes a whole time to build but just a little effort to raze down every thing you have built. The customer care service is very much effective and should be properly taken care of.

Agree with this.

For me, the major turn on that will make me a loyal to a certain platform is if their customer service is great. If not, then I'm off to find another one. This is because during the entirety of your usage on that platform, minor inconveniences and major issues could happen. These circumstances could only be solved if a company has a good quality of service provided to their clients. Otherwise, the complaints will just pile up and there would be endless of them which will affect the company's reputation soon after.

Word of mouth is a powerful tool to either make or break something. Casinos should give their clients a proper resolution on a given timeframe so they won't lose customers and at the same time, retain those existing ones. A satisfying resolution over a problem, whether it may be small or big will have an impact to the name and to the reputation it's trying to uphold.
1032  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: March 14, 2023, 12:18:54 PM
Actually, sometimes there are waste bets because of of failure to analyze the risks and return or for betting without prior knowledge and information at hand about the game. Therefore, wasting the bet that could have a higher potential to win, if only there was a proper assessment and course action done. To add, miscalculation and misplacement of bets happen from time to time to anyone. I've seen several confessions about having regrets because of misclicking an amount to bet or even because of betting due to high emotions. So, yes, for me, there are waste bets. It just so happen that we learn a thing or two from our wasted bets so it just counted as a fee for learning and experiencing to do better the next time around we have the chance.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 14, 2023, 11:25:59 AM
This is really one of the mistakes of newbies in gambling, not only in gambling actually, but in using other platforms as well.

Some people are not fond of reading, I'm well aware of that. Most people just nonchalantly scroll past the terms and conditions instead of actually reading it for their own benefit. Simply because some are too lazy to read and some don't really bother what's the content of it, so they just click the "I agree" button then proceed without knowing what they signed up to. It became a habit because some do not know how important to know the information stated in the TOS. Which results to having conflict to some of the rules imposed by the casinos and developers in general.

It's such a shame that some problems ratted out here and even inconveniences most people encounter could have been prevented if only they weren't too lazy to read the policies before agreeing to it. Hopefully though, people, especially the beginners will take seriously the TOS and read it with comprehension. Because it could really cost you so much if you are being negligent.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: March 14, 2023, 10:48:12 AM
~snip~
because luck will come to those who are willing to take risks. in the sense that if luck is waiting for us but don't do anything or don't make any bets, how is it possible that luck will come.

like we have a strategy that we have made but we don't bet anything in our strategy, even though the strategy that is made is luck waiting for us.

Maybe, maybe not.

That's the whole point of "luck", which really is just probabilities.

You can estimate the probabilities of someone winning a game. Then check the payouts. In general, casinos make these calculations very precisely and make sure they always have an advantage.

That's why in the long term the house always wins, because even if someone gets "lucky" and wins big, which is unusual but happens, they will probably continue playing anyway, eventually losing all their winnings.

Luck isn't guaranteed to side on anyone's favor. It can come and happen to you, it might not. The thing here is, you should have so much high hopes in order not for it not to be that painful. Because the moment we expect something, it might not turn out the way we perceived it. Winning isn't guaranteed despite how much intelligent or lucky you are. Although yes, the probability of winning goes higher and higher if one has the skills, knowledge, talent, and luck on his side. But again, there's always room for turn of events even at the very last seconds. So being complacent won't do you any good.

Calculating your chances of winning for me is a smart thing to do, since there's only a certain rate of probability you are going to win or lose. Now, it just depends on how you will execute your gameplay. You can win against the house, but in the end, the house still benefited out of you and other players for engaging you and other gamblers to play and spend.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: March 14, 2023, 09:51:05 AM
Wow will be an understatement. You are so lucky, mate! Congratulations on your winnings! It's such a huge amount from $300, who would have thought odds will be so generous it poured most of it while you were betting. I really do hope luck will side me even once in a while. Although surely, luck isn't the only thing why you've gotten that far. Vital things such as skill, knowledge, and information certainly played much. it's right that you played without involving your emotions because it could really get in the way if it'll overtake you. Good thing, you set it aside and focused on the prize.

I hope you allocated properly your winnings to where it should belong. You know, prioritizing what should really come first. But I have a feeling you did because you have the logical thinking in the first place. May your next bets turn out great like this one. But still, be reminded of your limitations and boundaries to avoid regrets.
1036  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too late to start? on: March 11, 2023, 02:52:18 PM
As long as cryptocurrency exist it's not too late. We don't know how far will cryptocurrency go especially Bitcoin. Its price is always proving that it can go even further, we don't know its peak but I'm sure investing on it is really worth it. So instead of thinking a lot of thoughts about it, like a negative one, just invest on it already and find the answer for yourself.
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 11, 2023, 02:01:52 PM
Good job op, rather than saving it up on a bank, investing it in Bitcoin instead is much better. My mom is curious about Bitcoin but doesn't want to invest in Bitcoin, she just want to save her money on her safety vault because I think she likes it when she can easily access her money just in case of emergency.
1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ponzi Schemes - People are confused. on: March 11, 2023, 11:48:42 AM
Very confusing to be honest.

Those people knows they didn't lose their money in Bitcoin but in ponzi scheme, they are just blaming Bitcoin for their stupidity believing on those ponzi schemes that are not even new anymore, they just never learned. They are one of the biggest player actually on creating FUD to scare other people by their own mistakes.

So instead of cryptocurrency getting a round of applause for being great by creating opportunities to people to earn more than in fiat, others chose to doubt it and judge it.
1039  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting now. on: March 11, 2023, 10:40:55 AM
I had a different thread on how to start on Bitcoin and had so many useful and helpful knowledge given to me at that thread. I just wanna say thanks to all those who replied to my post. And also, yes, I will be starting to do trading on cryptocurrencies. With that being said, I also want to take this opportunity to ask, what would be the best cryptowallet to use at this time?

I've been using Electrum for almost 5 years already and thanks to God nothing bad happens. Hardware wallet is the best for me and cold wallet is the second of the best. Always make sure your funds are safe and invest as well on best wallets as much as possible to avoid losing all of your funds. Also don't put all of your funds in just one wallet.
1040  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: March 10, 2023, 01:21:16 PM
If we're gonna talk about economy, no one get any benefits from war. The production of weapons like guns, bullets, missiles, tanks, jet fighters, helicopters, warships, are very expensive that most of the economic budget are being used. Also, the damage of war is the worst, everyone could be affected in the whole world if it's gonna be a nuclear war and more. Whoever wins, it doesn't matter at all, because everything will be destroyed.

War is all about abusing of political power and greediness.
