921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: April 18, 2023, 11:46:10 AM
It's good to take accountability in times like this because it is indeed really your fault for not reading their TOS. Reading it will provide you more knowledge about the casino's nature and rules. You will know the do's and don'ts of the casino which will give you more insights and more things to ponder in order not to do something that could put your account into a 50/50 situation such as suspension or banning of account.

Just think of this as a lesson learned to not make the same mistake again in the future. It is really the players responsibility to read everything and to know every details as much as possible to avoid encountering preventable problems.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 18, 2023, 10:52:50 AM
I understand why some people turn to the lottery as a way to try to recoup their losses, but I personally don't see the appeal of the lottery. The odds are just too slim to justify spending money on tickets. I'd rather focus on other forms of gambling where I have a better chance of winning, even if the potential payout might not be as great, or just save my money and invest it in something with a better return on investment. It's all a matter of gambler's personal preference.

As for free lottery tickets, of course, who doesn't love them? It's like a little gift that gives you a chance to try your luck without having to spend any money. But they should never be seen as a way to recover losses from other forms of gambling.

Well, almost all of us want something that's free right. So why not have it if it's given to you without anything in return. After all, it will be impolite to accept a gift.

As for buying lottery tickers, the same with you, I also don't see the point of buying one because the chances of you winning is so small compared to all other games probability combined. It will be a waste of time and money if you will just wait to win until you become lucky to guess the right number combinations. But I guess, to each his own. There are people who find joy in betting in lottery games and we don't need to impose anything to them.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 18, 2023, 10:19:24 AM
I mean slots are a game of complete luck (unless you happen to be playing one of the fewer slot games that actually do add a component of skill) so whatever you're throwing in there, you've really just got to expect it's 100% going to be completely lost by the time you leave the casino.  Of course you can get lucky and when, but no one should ever be going in to a casino to play slots with the expectations that they are going to walk out with more money than they walked in with.

Yeah, and if you feel lucky then you might want to play slots. I have played it last night online, been playing in the afternoon till I feel sleepy. Had good wins early, withdraw some of my winnings and left something so that I can continue to play.

Then lost all of that, then I still can't control and deposit some money that I withdraw earlier. And it take sometime before I can get back the capital but then again, I push my luck and press max bet and in just a matter of minutes all my money is gone. Anyhow, enjoyed the game and still have some winnings from my only withdrawal so I'm still good. Just sharing my experience about how luck really plays a big role in playing slots as compare to sports betting.

There are really people who are very much lucky in playing slots. It's fortunate of you to taste some winnings made by playing slot games because personally, I seldom win in such even if I just do it for fun without bet included. Although it's just unfortunate of you to lose everything at once because you decided to bet once again.

Perhaps next time you should learn to control yourself to avoid losing all your hard-earned money. Just bet on what you can afford to lose to avoid regretting later on. If you are already happy with what you earned, quit playing for the day and enjoy your profit. Then come back the next time around. Greediness won't get you anywhere.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 17, 2023, 03:43:11 PM
Gambling addict will not listen easily, they are drowning on their greed and they need proper assistance and medication, I'm talking about the worst case scenario of being addict in gambling. As much as possible, you have to help yourself if you are still in the early stage of addiction, it's not too late for you. These reminders are being posted here repeatedly and I'd hope that many are already aware about the possible risk of gambling and the threat of its addiction. If you can help someone who are into gambling, please do so because you can save his/her life by guiding them slowly but surely.

I very much agree with this.

The help these gambling addicts must come from themselves first. They have to help themself in order to be treated and to overcome their addiction. Acceptance is the first key in healing. If these gamblers won't be brave enough to admit that they are indeed suffering from addiction and needs help from the professionals and to the people around them, then they will not receive the necessary treatment for their case. But if they do otherwise, they will surpass this challenge from their life.

Gambling addiction is a serious matter that needs proper intervention. One must be willing to be treated and one must be cooperative. Being in denial won't get them anywhere. It will just make the situation much worse. So if you have the chance, give them the pros and cons of gambling, not just the benefits of it for them to be aware of what they might encounter in the long run.
925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 17, 2023, 01:32:00 PM
~snip~
Well, let's take the example of football. in football, it takes 11 players and each player plays their respective roles. when the two teams compete, strategies and coaches are needed. So, in theory, football involves many parties. one mistake made by a player, can be fatal for the team as a whole. as well as performance, performance plays an important role to be a measure in every consideration of our analysis assessment. besides that, the absence of several players can also have an impact on team performance.

Well, the question is, can AI explore all of that? Can Al predict accurately, I say no for now. why, because football doesn't only talk about data and statistics, but it's more complex than that. and it seems, the machine will not answer what we need regarding 100% correct predictions. if only to find data, information, and everything related to the two teams that will compete, it looks like we can rely on Al. yes, because, they are more efficient. to predict, I don't think so. so, overall I agree with what you said.

The thing is that you can combine a statistical AI that has all the previous information about the matches, players, etc, and starts the match with an idea, say team A has 80% chance of winning.

Then, while they are playing you can have an AI trained with computer vision to actually look at the performance of each player and see how things are going, in real time, and update the odds in real time.

Something like that would be really powerful and I think it might be already out there somewhere.

This is a good idea. Although I think it will cost a lot to make an AI that incorporates all the previous statistical data and records of the players and teams to the real-time action and performance on the field. It will be a tedious task to code and to maintain the program as well because we are talking about comparison of the real time playing and previous plays of the players where the AI will draw or predict the winning odds.

But if ever this will really be created, it will be a good and powerful tool to use as a reference on how you will make your bet.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 17, 2023, 12:57:51 PM
It's good to explore once in a while.

I think one of the major reasons to play on a new website is to explore and try something new. Some of the pros will include you discovering what's the interface, how's the system in terms of transactions work, and if their games are worth it to try on. It will be a breath of fresh air to discover a thing or two yourself instead of hearing and learning about it from other people. However, there are cons too.

If you want to play in a new gambling platform, there will be limited to no reviews about it, given that it is newly established. Hence, you might encounter some inconveniences along the way which could be a hassle on your end because of exploration. You could waste your time doing it as well especially if you get the grasp that it's not what you expected and not your preference to begin with. You might fall victim into scams and schemes as well if you happen to stumble upon a website that doesn't really intend to operate for a long time and just want to steal fund from the players.

You just have to pick whichever weighs more for you. Personally, I'm in a 50/50 in this matter because I like to explore, but I don't want to be ripped off too.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting vs fantasy sports on: April 17, 2023, 11:13:38 AM
Sports betting are composed of real players playing in actual field which people bet on. It's either composed of a team or a one man with an opponent of the same expertise of course. Meanwhile, fantasy sports is played in the internet which is composed of teams that are virtually simulated with real players to play the role of a team member. I think it's almost similar to online games nowadays, but with a twist of betting on the side. Personally, I haven't been able to see fantasy sport just yet in a gambling platform, but it will be exciting to see and try for fun in the future.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 17, 2023, 10:48:51 AM
Slot games and spin game are designed to drain gamblers accounts. The way I look at it these two casinos are just for fun and not to win for income. I went to a hotel bar then there was a game section so I went to just have fun but was also hoping to cash out small chances from the game to my own surprised I was drained to the core and I came back with empty pocket. I really don't know how people are winning bin this game. The game is difficult to play though there are some people that expert on the game. But as me I have not win the game in any day so I am not interested to play for now but might try again later.

Well, these games are luck-based games that don't really need skills, strategies, and relevant information for a player to be able to play. Someone just need disciple and luck on their side for them to be win the round. Unfortunately, these games are mostly money-draining because it is designed for players to be hooked and continuously play after one game and another. These games are addicting especially if you are obsessed by chasing winnings. But if not, then it will be an easy peasy for you since it is a no-brainer game after all. Although we should admit that this type of game isn't for everyone especially those who don't have much patience.
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 17, 2023, 10:00:34 AM
Personally, I don't take part in lottery games because I just don't see the point of risking to such a very small chance of winning. But I did think of betting on it several times when I was younger. It was sure enticing to bet in gambling lottery because you might become a winner of such a huge amount by just betting a small amount. However, the chance of winning is very slim. There's a higher probability of losing in lottery, I'm not just saying this out of negativity but out of factual information.

Way back, my father is very much fond of betting in lottery. It became a habit of him to bet despite not winning anything at all in the span of years he's been betting on his "lucky numbers". But eventually, he grew tired of betting in lottery and perhaps he realized he's just wasting money and not really getting any entertainment to it. Thus he decided to find out another hobby to spend his time and money on.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much these features weigh most when you choose your favorite casino? on: April 15, 2023, 03:35:01 PM
I think one of the most important features of a casino is the ability to withdraw money.

If they make it too complicated, or with high minimums, then really it's not a great experience for the gambler, who in theory just wants to withdraw as much as possible.

Anything else in my mind is simply secondary, other than the game odds of course.
Right. And that's also a factor to tell how legitimate a gambling site is. The minimum amount of withdrawal should be less and as long as the gambler can sustain the transaction fees then let them get out.
I am actually happier now because I can see more gambling sites trying to reduce transaction fees. Before, I did experience 20k to 50k satoshis in just one go no matter how much I take out. It's hurting the gambler and this could lead to losing more clients just because of the damn expensive withdrawal fees.
The traffic is not that heavy anymore when doing cryptocurrency transactions, might as well cut those fees to make the platform more inviting to many players/gamblers.
7k sats at Stake.com. Never had any issues with them.

Agree with this.

Casinos should lower their transaction fee that won't hurt their operations. The fees should be attainable by even small time players so that they won't lose clients. It will be hard to make a deposit, make a bet, or play if the transaction fees are too high to the point wherein you can already make a bet and play several games with the fees to be paid. If casinos will have high fees, there's a high chance that the players will look for an alternative casino website that is more affordable and also caters the games they want.

Ease in transacting is essential for players. The process of depositing and withdrawal should be convenient for them to make continuous bets. If this won't be provided, then what's even the point of winning if they can't take out their funds.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Thought On Gambling Strategies on: April 15, 2023, 02:11:37 PM
I have that in my mind that I only gamble to have fun and whatever is come to my losses, they'll serve as my entry ticket to the casino to have fun and that's it.
That's a good thought that someone don't want to feel guilty with his loses because it's just too stressful that you've been losing.
We don't want to have that in mind so just think of those loses as what OP said, as an expense for entertainment. Regardless of the strategies you make, that's actually a good strategy to trick our minds as we gamble and whichever will be result of it.

As long as you play within your boundaries, there will be less to no reason for you to regret because of course, in gambling, there's only a win or lose situation. The moment you placed your bet, you decided to accept whatever fate will give you. But if you will play because of such a rush and impulsive decision due to peer pressure or just by greediness, there's a high chance you'll lose and you'll end up regretting big time. You should be able to control your emotions and your urge to bet otherwise, losses may come knocking at your doorstep.
932  Other / Off-topic / Re: Prepare for the life when you get old on: April 15, 2023, 01:02:17 PM
This is why either you or your partner in life knows how to budget the income that's coming in the family, because if neither of you doesn't know about financial management, then no matter how big you earn in your job, you're gonna end up with almost nothing. Savings is very important since that's the usual way of saving the money you earned for emergency purposes, though investing is much more better especially in Bitcoin or real state properties, etc.
933  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading is perfect work for jobless peoples on: April 15, 2023, 11:56:21 AM
In life there are many peoples wants freedom and this is available in day training and not any restrictions that whenever and wherever you want to doing work
If we thing about that are in enjoying with your family there you are also allow to work as well and also enjoy
Also freedom from your Boss.

I don't think so.

If you think day trading or whatever kind of trading is fun and enjoyable, you might want to rethink that again. Jobless people jumping to trading right away is a long run process of learning before they could totally enjoy trading because they are making profits. Also, if they don't have any savings, I don't see them doing trading as their job.
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can owning 1 Bitcoin make you rich in 2023? on: April 15, 2023, 07:00:07 AM
This would be entirely depends on how you define "rich" but if you do have the money to buy 1 Bitcoin, you're definitely not poor but not rich either, maybe in the middle. Also, owning 1 Bitcoin could not make you rich if you don't know how to make your profit circulates so you could have more. It is important that you know how to manage your money, because even if you have like $1M and you have to knowledge on how to make it grow, your $1M would vanish in no time because of unplanned spending.
935  Economy / Economics / Re: How do feels losing money? on: April 14, 2023, 01:49:01 PM
Background research first is very important if you're gonna invest your money on someone or something. You never learn until something happened, so I hope you do better the next time. The best choice is to accept it and move on, you can file a case about it but it'll cost you even more and will take much of your time, but it depends on what legal actions you guys wanted to do about it.

It's normal to feel down after such bad investment, or should I say ponzi investment, that are too good to be true, that's why don't ever trust your money to someone you don't even know.
936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF ONLY EVERYONE CAN EASILY ACCEPT CRYPTO on: April 14, 2023, 11:22:21 AM
They know Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, they just can't process it in their minds how it actually works and how come it has a value. They are ignoring it, I think that's the best term for them. They just love the old traditional fiat system because that's the norm in the society where we live in.

Some people are afraid because they thought of it as a scam because of the news they watched on televisions. We can't force them to deep dive to know Bitcoin much further, they just can't handle the risk that they are gonna take when they go in cryptocurrency or even Bitcoin itself. So mass adaptation is still on the process as of now because of so many reasons.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it take to become a Bitcoin investor on: April 14, 2023, 10:06:56 AM
The answer on your question is very simple, if you invested your money on it then automatically you're a Bitcoin investor, there's nothing more requirements about that, even if you have only basic knowledge about bitcoin.

Now, it takes a lot of courage and a solid final decision for someone to be a Bitcoin investor, because it ain't easy as buying at a random moment whenever you feel to and hope to have profits as quickly as possible. You are going to still need your technical analysis for you to figure out when is the right time to buy Bitcoin so you could be a bitcoin investor that will surely have profits in the long run.
938  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your most preferred Bitcoin investment strategy right now? on: April 13, 2023, 02:08:39 PM
I'm not active as of now on trading so I would say I only buy low sell high Bitcoin from time to time. Most of my bitcoin are on HODL for a certain purpose, I'm still waiting for the next bull run and gonna buy something with the profits. I believe it depends on each people who have Bitcoin on what to do about it, but newbies prefer HODL I guess if I'm not mistaken because that's the easiest way to make profits in the long run if you do have a lot of patient as well.
939  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience on Bitcoin on: April 13, 2023, 12:57:21 PM
Has anyone ever thought of investing in Bitcoin in previous years, but later left out due to negative though that Bitcoin will not have positive value in time to come.
   Let share our experience.
As for me I still regret my actions years back, but I still believe that it's never too late.

I never had this kind of thought in Bitcoin.

Never ever let the FUD controls your mind, because no one knows that will happen in the future, that is why we risk our money in Bitcoin. Instead of believing in FUDs, try to believe your own judgement, be unique, if other people are skeptical about Bitcoin, then believe on it, make a decision to know the result rather than having sleepless nights because of thinking "what ifs" because you didn't try in the first place.
940  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't encourage multiple trading! on: April 13, 2023, 11:53:20 AM
My friend loves opening different trades at a time, most at times is difficult for him to control what's should be. Trading on free chart with multiple opening can be very dangerous. Yesterday he experience unusual hit when bitcoin price drops again, four trades loss at once when the market go against him. Personally I don't advise multiple trade especially when you're not familiar with trade
What if your friend only trade one coin and the coin against the direction taken and the loss is significant? Trading multiple coins is not the problem, the problem is to know the direction the coins are going because if one coin is falling, other coins are most likely falling too. I also thought trading just a single currency is the best before, until I traded multiple coins that go towards my direction.

Tell your friend to learn risk management and also use a better strategy to minimize losses. It is good not to use leverage while trading, especially while trading altcoins.

Maybe what OP were trying to say is that his friend is already struggling with a single trade yet he did multiple trades that's why it backfired on him. It's hard to do multiple trades actually using a single monitor, in my opinion, or if you're not that experienced when it comes to futures trading, it could really increase the risk of losing your trades.

My only suggestion is to never enter a big trade with multiple entries per coin if it is your first time since you're only after for experience, don't risk it too far.
