341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 24, 2023, 10:08:41 AM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?

It varies from one person to another. But i think one common ground they share is that they are very much hopeful that there will come a time that they will eventually win and get that jackpot prize they are aiming for. They use that as motivation and inspiration to bet more and play more, not knowing and noticing that they are losing more than they are actually gaining in doing gambling. Perhaps sometimes they know that they are gambling recklessly, but disregards it anyway because of the thinking they can recover that after they have won. But the question is when will it happen though. So it's best to don't chase winnings and set a limit to gambling engagement to avoid further losses and lower the chances of getting addicted.
342  Economy / Economics / Re: Dangers of combining company and personal funds in the same account on: October 21, 2023, 04:48:28 PM
There's nothing wrong with it if you own the company, but it's much better to create another account for the company's fund to track it's earning daily, weekly, or event monthly so you can monitor it if there's something wrong with the funds, etc.
There's no valid reason why someone would combine the company's fund to their personal funds since it would just mess everything's up.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: October 21, 2023, 02:44:11 PM

The mistake that people or beginners make is that they think that gambling is a source of income, so they think that playing gambling in a casino can give them extra money, but the sad fact is that many people lose at gambling and in the end become addicted. Instead of looking for extra money, it actually makes the situation worse. thus adding other new, unexpected expenses.

Gamblers who still have a mindset like that are difficult to advise even though they should be able to make extra money by trading or looking for a side job, it's not a good way to make extra money by gambling because it will only waste time and money so don't ever think that gambling it can make gamblers rich, that is obviously impossible due to the fact that many gamblers have lost a lot of money because of gambling.

Well, gambling can really be a source of income ONLY IF you are responsible, skilled, and lucky enough. It takes courage, time, patience, and of course, money to be able to make gambling as one of your stream of income. It is risky, yes. That is why it is important to establish your goal and your limitations the moment you enter the gambling industry. After all, it isn't for the faint hearted and it isn't for those people who aren't responsible enough for their own actions. Since every decision and action you make will have its repercussions, it's important to be wise so you won't fall into addiction or into bankruptcy.

It's possible to get rich in gambling, however, it will surely take time and money. Being focused to get what you want without sacrificing a lot of money and time is one of the key. Since at the end of the day, the most significant thing to do is to prioritize your necessities, your main job, and your family.
344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You are also like them? on: October 21, 2023, 01:58:38 PM
Watching these YouTuber 'technical analysts' is like witnessing a comedy show. They just scribble lines on a Bitcoin chart and act like they're gazing into a crystal ball. But the reality is, they're about as accurate as a broken clock – right only twice a day. It's laughable how they sell this snake oil, predicting the future with squiggly lines. I wouldn't bet a Satoshi on their so-called insights!

Yeah, most of the YouTubers I see on YouTube shares their "technical analysis" but it's not working well to be honest, they're just posting it for views to earn money.

But I've seen one with a legit content that really helped me way back then, I forgot the name of YouTube but it's a gem there. YouTube tutorials are just to teach you basic stuff about trading, like the basics, candle patterns, types of indicators that could be use for beginners while exploring the trading world.
345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Trading on: October 21, 2023, 01:05:37 PM
I agree to all of what you've said, especially about when the market is not favourable to trade.

Most of newbies force themselves to make a profit even though the market is complicated to analyze, leading to a series of lose trades and emotional damage. That's where everything will become uncontrollable because of too much going on with a trader's mind. This is when trading randomly starts without any technical analysis involve, just a random trade to chase losses that will only lead to more losses and devastating experience because of lack of plan and self-control.
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 21, 2023, 12:21:05 PM
I personally care about it enough that I am sure they will not share it with my government since it would be illegal for me to play in a foreign casino. If I trust that they will not share it with my government, then I am fine about it.

And 99% of the places do not share it, so I can easily give my KYC without a worry, it doesn't really change much and doesn't really end up making it any different, we just need to end up with something that would be a little bit different. I know that not a lot of people end up with something that would be a lot worse or better, we just need to end up with something that needs to be secret enough from outside sources. Me sharing it with the casino is fine, it would be not fine if they share it with someone else.
One the terms and conditions of about gambling companies is never to share their customers personal data to any third party unless it happens that a customer involves himself in any illegal engagement in the company that requires them to provide personal information to a third party and most times the third party will always be a legal firm. So that's why I don't think anyone should be worried in providing their personal information to gambling companies except the person in question has in engaged in some illegal activities.

I beg to disagree. It's still much better to be careful than to be sorry later on. You can't really guarantee that a casino will not sold your personal information to other third party applications because some don't really keep their word, especially those sites that just suddenly emerged and are still new to the industry, which means there's still no reputation to uphold and to stand by. If ever you will give your personal information such as your full name, address and the likes, always make sure that you are giving it to a trusted site. Because if you happen to trust the wrong website, your identity can be robbed in a snap, and your card details can be used and be exposed to thieves.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: October 21, 2023, 11:18:47 AM
You know what they say that success is everybody's friend but failure is a bastard, so if you're a gambler and you're making fortunes from gambling, at the same time making out quality time to be with loved ones, believe me you'll hardly have a problem with their relationship. Especially when you're responsible in meeting up with your financial obligations without making any excuses. I think that the reason why some gamblers might have issues in their relationship is mainly because they give excuses in their financial obligations, if there's nothing to show for all the efforts that they put in gambling.

Another reason why gambling can affect relationships is because it is associated with addiction and people who are addicted to gambling don't always heed to reasoning, they're main focus and happiness is on the gambling that they're addicted to. In the long run the habit can affect their relationship because of the priority put on gambling over relationship.

This is very much on point.

A gambler that is responsible to his duties and obligations will less likely have a problem regarding his gambling routine and to the people around him, and this includes his connection and relationship to the people important in his life. If someone is disciplined enough to practice moderate and responsible gambling, there will be no spouse that will complain and be irritated about the gambling practice. If the needs are being met at home, no wife will be a nagger and there will be no argument. So as easy as that, you should be responsible to your financial obligations to your family and to yourself so you will avoid trouble.

Additionally, you should practice allocating just enough time in gambling so you could have some spare for your family and friends for bonding and relaxation. Having enough time for your family will make them feel loved and cared for and if you lack hiving it to them, they will feel neglected resulting to negative effects to your relationship.
348  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much money can you make by investing in Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2023, 01:36:47 PM
The profit you could make in the long run will depend in your skills, because if you're good, you know when to buy to maximize the profit you can make in the long run, you also know when to sell your Bitcoin holdings.

What's gonna matter also is your funds, that is also a big factor when investing in cryptocurrency, the bigger funds you invest, the bigger the profit you could have in the long run if you're not gonna mess up your DCA. It's not complicated, you only need 2 things, money and a reputable bitcoin wallet.
349  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 20, 2023, 12:24:56 PM
When you wake up to a sea of red in the market, the instinct might be to either rush in to buy or hastily sell. However, the best response often involves taking a step back. It's essential to learn to recognize warning signs that indicate you should pause and reflect before making decisions.
Buying for investment or buying for trading is different. The first one will be more calm and the latter one will be more emotional.

If you are an investor and applying Dollar Cost Averaging, dips are great chances for you to accumulate bitcoin and surely good for DCA. This is not applied for altcoins because altcoins are shitcoins. They can be minted during a dead spiral like Terra $LUNA and must note, many altcoin tokens have a Mint function to do the same thing did by Do Kwon in May 2022.

Buying means entering a long trade and selling means entering short in trading, correct me if I'm wrong though.

DCA could be use either in trading in futures or in spot trading, so it's either me or you who misunderstood what OP meant with his terms. Anyways, I agree with OP with the pause whenever something's bad happen in your trade, or whenever your mind is clouded with a lot of things that could lead you to making bad decisions in your trade. Always remember to rest and clear your mind before continuing your trade to avoid confusion and bad trades.
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife. on: October 20, 2023, 06:47:36 AM
A very nice gift but I think it's better if you teach her first the things she needs to know about Bitcoin before giving your half investment to her. Anything could happen, I mean what if she randomly sold it because she wants to buy something that's needed in your house, and the amount of Bitcoin she sold was suppose to make a lot of profits in the next bull run, that would be a waste, in my opinion.

351  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people ever get tired of trading bitcoin? on: October 19, 2023, 02:02:49 PM
2 reasons why people will stop trading in my opinion; (1) They got bored with it due to their age and they got plenty of profits already with all the years they've spent in trading cryptocurrency. (2) They lost too much money on it, chased their losses, got depressed, and other emotional issues because of their trading journey, so they quitted, healed themselves instead and will find another source of income that suited their skills.
352  Economy / Economics / Re: Young people needs productive mindset to be happy in life on: October 19, 2023, 12:58:59 PM
Sometimes it's not the dream job that we really want, it's the money from a job or a business. Business for me is much more profitable and less stress source of income, because you're the boss of your own, you're the one who will be listened to by your employees, you're the one who is in control of your time, money, actions, and decisions.

It is up to you want kind of workplace you want, you have choices always, unlike when you're the employee, you don't have any choices at all but only to obey what's your senior tells you to do.
353  Economy / Economics / Re: In times of war, Gold rises. What about Bitcoin? on: October 19, 2023, 11:53:06 AM
Don't compare Bitcoin to gold because they have different backbone, just because the price of gold is rising doesn't mean that Bitcoin should too.

But if you're being hopeless because of that scenario, then let's compare. Why gold price doesn't increase that much compare the Bitcoin when it exist for a long time already unlike for Bitcoin which only started way back in 2009, correct me if I'm wrong. Gold is too old fashioned for me, hard to store, prone to thieves, etc.
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: October 18, 2023, 03:46:38 PM
Yes, because I have a family and children, my top priority is still family life. I will not have a fixed balance to gamble regularly. And I also don't keep track of my wins and losses during the year. I don't care if I make a profit or a loss. Because even if I lose, the amount has been predetermined, I can still accept that loss. I know I have bad behavior, but I still have reasonable control over my behavior.

You are good enough to have complete control over your behavior because that is the most important thing a gambler needs. Because there are many cases where gamblers become aggressive when they lose, especially gamblers who have families, sometimes they take their anger out on their children or wives which makes their families miserable.

This is so true. This often happens in most household and commonly, the children are the affected ones because of bad behavior being displayed by their so-called role model in life. I've heard and read a lot of stories about children growing up to be miserable and depressed because of verbal and physical abuse at home because their parent/s is a gambling addict. Gambling addiction really impacts the relationship within the family and affects the upbringing of the children. It's important to be disciplined and control the anger issues brought upon by gambling. This way, no children will be traumatized and no wives will be battered due to financial issues and temperament problem brought by the aforementioned.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: October 18, 2023, 03:00:34 PM

But if there is no internet, children cannot do the online assignments their teachers give. This is a dilemma bute it all depends on how parents can educate their children well. And today's children watch YouTube more often, and many things are inappropriate for them to watch. As parents, they should be able to filter what they watch for their children so that they don't see inappropriate things.

We don't know what the future holds for our children, but at least by setting clear boundaries about what they watch and don't, we can make them understand it. And if they are adults, they can filter what they watch for themselves and won't make the wrong choice.

I agree with this. But in contrast to your statement that without internet the children cannot do their homework, well, they can. Only if there's an accessible public library in the area where they reside. They can use the books for free if their city has one and permits so. Although it will be such a shame if it has none because not everytime we have internet to rely on and not everyone is privileged enough to have gadgets and net connection. But that's another story. Going back, children can use internet as long as they will be carefully supervised by their parents or guardian.

It is the duty of the parents to monitor their children's reach on the Internet because they should be the role model of their own kin. Blocking certain websites such as those with explicit contents and gambling contents can help, to avoid the kids being involved at a young age in gambling.
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: October 18, 2023, 01:16:04 PM

Support from family is very useful for addicts so they can reduce their gambling habits. It is very likely that this family attention is able to motivate the gambler to really stop. Indeed, this step is not easy, but slowly gamblers will realize that the love of their family is able to restore or become a treatment for the gambler to recover from his gambling addiction.

Indeed. Having family supporting and guiding you while you undergo from rehabilitation and treatment can be very beneficial to the gambling addict trying to recover and be healed. Moral support can boost the fighting spirit and the determination of the gambler to be better and do well so that they can go back to their normal life again. Personally, it will motivate and inspire me to know that I have people who will have my back during the time I was struggling to be the better version of myself, if I were a gambling addict. So yes, one possible way to stop addiction is having a strong backbone to support you from quitting. It can definitely be of an encouragement.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: October 18, 2023, 11:48:12 AM

Less exposure to gambling means fewer losses or wins because you don't play much on it and you just gamble for fun because that is a low chance that you won't get addicted and will have full control of yourself. I also gamble rarely so I do belong to people who are not willing to risk money. It is true that there are times that you regret not spending much time gambling because of the possibility of winning but that kind of risk is good because I do prefer staying in my comfort zone when it comes to gambling than losing money.

The probability of the win in the game was very low in the gambling. But some of the gambler had analysis the same and play the gambling for the entertainment. The good gambler will gamble and understand the risk in the gambling. So they use the extra money from their income, sometimes it may be the saving from the gamblers. To stay safe in the gambling,it’s better to use the gambling for the entertainment purpose. So the gambler never expect the returns from the gambling, this will never hurt the gamblers in the gambling loss. The free money using in the gambling will safe to risk high money into the gambling.

To be safe, you need to make sure that you are in control of your entertainment, not that deep to avoid making that mistake in pushing for more instead of enjoying your stay, most of those who lose a lot of money are gambler who forget about their limits, to be safe you need to consider that big factor, setting your limitation and not allowing your ownself to exceed that's the important thing that you need.

Taking time to give yourself a paused when you feel that you already going deeper, it's a must and you should be aware.

Very much agree with this.

In order to be safe from falling to addiction, you have a lot of factors to consider such as having a specific budget intended for gambling, specific time to play or bet, and having self-control in general. You must have a goal in mind the moment you enter gambling. If you are in it for entertainment, you can have fun as much as you want and as long as you are responsible enough for your actions and for the consequences of it. And the moment you feel like you are straying far away, you should reassess your values and priorities to keep in track.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 18, 2023, 11:15:40 AM
You don't have to agree on this, gambling is in fact an opportunity to make income and it's not news that people are making money from it. But it's rather not the means to rely on income making, I hope you get the difference between the two now.

Like myself, I gamble and make money somewhat consistently with sportsbooks but I dare not rely on such as my sole means of making income. It's at the time I believed too much that a bet would win that the bet would lose, if one relied on that, such would get disappointed and get himself to blame. Gambling generally is a game of chance and no one can perfectly predict an outcome which is why it's bad to rely on it for a living or budgetary plans as it will affect one's mental state and even more than that.
Winning affecting our mental state, ofcourse no excepts we depend solely on it for survival. We're in the system and ought to apply precautionary measures that would aides in maximizing profits and minimize losses. Whatever we know shouldn't deviates from us because nowhere is safe out there. Jumping from one sector and game strategy to another would not help, we mainly focused on the strategy that works for us and keeps consistent practices till we become pro with that particular strategy, that's how to find a pro gambler with a great dealnl of experience.
This is one of the reasons why many gamblers do end up with addiction. We need to be very careful how we go desperately to gamble and make winnings. Sometimes we might be so confidence about a particular game thinking we are going to win but we because we are not so lucky and our strategies can not give us what we intend to get, we might not be able to win the bet. Gambling is very dangerous to our mental health if we are desperate about gambling and we don't have something doing to earn money for ourselves. If we can work on ourselves and work on the way we gamble, this can help us to earn big from the gambling.

It's really important to know when to stop and when to continue so that you won't fall into addiction. Skills and strategies are important in gambling as well as luck. If you combine these altogether alongside with your self-control and discipline, you will surely go far in gambling without getting lost in the process of betting and playing. Responsible gambling is the key. And to achieve responsible gambling, you should set boundaries to abide, specific fund allocation to spend so you won't go over your budget, and specific timeframe or period of playing so you won't crave for so long gambling engagement. These can help maintain a healthy mental health and well-being.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 17, 2023, 02:08:50 PM
Personally, I wouldn't risk my winnings into further uncertainty and would rather withdraw it instantly and bring it home. I know this sounds somewhat a cowardice to some, but I wouldn't really consider it as one. For me it's a move of bravery to accept what you already have and not be greedy to aim for more. You know, sometimes it's better to quit because knowing when to quit can help you and be a benefit as a matter of fact, instead of being a failure. In gambling, the more you engage in it, the more you have to lose. Although it will be a good thing if you win because the higher the risk, the higher the rewards if it turns out well.

I just don't want to be that kind of player who started it small, win huge amount, then eventually lost the winnings for being so thirsty to achieve and bag more. It's intoxicating if you are so hungry for money. Instead of bringing home a good amount already, it might end up into ashes if you will risk and play more. Then the cycle will continue because you will want to get back your winnings. So you'll end up betting and playing more and more without noticing you're getting addicted because of chasing the monetary prize.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 17, 2023, 01:10:59 PM

You don't have to agree on this, gambling is in fact an opportunity to make income and it's not news that people are making money from it. But it's rather not the means to rely on income making, I hope you get the difference between the two now.

Gambling generally is a game of chance and no one can perfectly predict an outcome which is why it's bad to rely on it for a living or budgetary plans as it will affect one's mental state and even more than that.

Gambling is indeed an income generator to some players. It actually varies depending on your goal the moment you enter. It can be a sideline for some while it can also be a sole entertainment to those who can afford to gamble without any returns. If you are in it for the fun, you'll less likely to chase the rewards and will be more of actively after for the thrill and the excitement it brings. Although some people make it their profit generator as alternative to doing specific jobs.

But for me, gambling shouldn't really be made as main income provider for a person or household. This is because it is very risky to put your money to an uncertain scenario. You can win or lose in gambling and it's probability will depend on different factors, so it won't always be a 50/50. Luck and skills will play a role and it depends on the circumstances and the odds whether you'll bring home the bacon or not.
