481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto or Real estate on: September 07, 2023, 02:06:38 PM
I'd choose Bitcoin all the way.

Bitcoin is less hassle, no paper works, less tax, and easier to buy and sell compare to real estate. Though, they are both good profit generator in the long run, I just don't like selling real estate because they take too much energy from you, physically and mentally. In Bitcoin, if you're a holder, all you gotta do is to buy when it dumps hard and wait for it to skyrocket before selling it, easy profits.
482  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I found Facebook trading group they work with signals wolf of wstreet on: September 07, 2023, 01:14:06 PM
Don't celebrate yet unless you're really making profits out of their trading signals.

I'm not discouraging you or whatsoever but most of that kind of groups are just giving away useless signals, most of them are just posting their successful trades so you will think their signals do really work all of the time. They also post their wallet balance to flex their achievements but they are not really going to help you to have that achievement as well.
483  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions dealing on: September 07, 2023, 12:24:45 PM
Emotions is a weapon used against traders causing them to move out of a trade untimely which may eventually cost them loss.

How to avoid emotions:
  • set up  a TP(take profit) and SL(stop loss) for your trades
  • Stay away from the particular trade
  • Get in some activity that will keep you busy
  • Do your hubby activities at that moment
  • set up hours interval to check your trade
  • watch tvs and Go for walk Smiley

Note:Some of these might not be applicable if you are into scalping.

Avoiding your emotions is impossible but controlling it is possible.

None of what you've said made sense, because if you're trading, you can't do other things just to make yourself busy because that will lose your focus, I mean, it's not that bad to take a break if it is the right time but if it is trading time, making other things just to avoid emotions is nonsense. Even setting up a TP and SL will gives you emotions no matter what is the result of your trade.
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: September 06, 2023, 03:54:46 PM

Everyone should feel bad for the chickens involved because they are beating each other to death and one of them has to die only to get some people to win their bets and to entertain an audience. What kind of people would enjoy watching a poor animal die like that? There are thousands of games and sports in the world and there are people who are interested in watching and participating in cockfighting. Governments should ban such unethical and inhuman sports.

Some people compare cockfighting with boxing or martial arts and when you tell them that this is unethical and it shouldn't be enjoyed or should even be a sport, they will say that the same thing happens in boxing where two men beat each other, but they don't consider the fact that a human doesn't have to die in that game for the other one to win, it's just knocking out your opponent.

We share the same sentiments.

I find it inhumane to know that there are people who gets joy and satisfaction from seeing animals fight against one another to win their bets. It feels like they lack empathy and compassion and only cares about themselves. It's just pure selfishness and greediness to pray and hope for a chicken to lose then die just so they could take home the winning prize. But this is all in my head and I can't really judge them as a whole by looking into their choice of gambling since they can be a responsible person at home even if they approve and support cockfighting. Although I just really hope that people will eventually stop patronizing it so cockfighting betting will be put into full stop.
485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: September 06, 2023, 02:56:35 PM
Controlling addiction becomes increasingly challenging as we age, which is why age limits are often imposed on habits with the potential for harmful addiction. While some strategies can help manage these habits before they become addictions, it often requires prolonged periods of abstinence, and any relapse can reignite the problem

Indeed. The reason why there is an imposed age limit is to prevent the youngsters to fall into addiction at an early age. Gambling is addicting and can give troubles aside from relaxation and fun if it isn't well executed by the player. Hence, casinos limit the access to adults who can handle stress, sudden problems, and have the capacity to make good decisions without supervision. Once you became addicted, gambling addiction is challenging to treat. It even becomes more challenging if you aren't really willing and determined to change. Sure, there are many strategies to combat it, but the first step is one of the most difficult ones which is acceptance and then willingness to go through treatment and therapy to solve your issues about it.
486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fan of casino reviews online? This is a must-read on: September 06, 2023, 01:49:54 PM
It is the user's responsibility to do a background check not only once or twice, but several times if you think something is off or sketchy because it's simply too good to be true. For this instance, I'm glad you dug deeper to check whether the reviews online were actually true or just paid reviews. It's not really that much surprising that there are paid and sponsored reviews online. After all, it's a way of living for some. They get paid just to make a positive feedback or for campaigning for the said site/s.

Players should practice researching and verifying info before actually believing them. That way, you will avoid being trapped into some kind of scam that is painted to become pleasant and encouraging to the eyes. It will take you some time by doing so, but it will be worth it because later on, it will save you time from the trouble that may arise if you didn't do a background check. Remember, almost everything nowadays comes with a price. If it is too good to be true, then it probably is because it's paid by those scam casino websites to gather more victims.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take to play casino? on: September 06, 2023, 01:15:01 PM
If you want to play in a casino, you should have what it takes such as discipline, fund, patience, and time. If you don't possess these, it should make you think many times because you might find yourself in chaos once you get lost in gambling. After all, everything that is too much is harmful. Everything must be done in moderation and responsibly so that you won't be addicted then fall into deeper troubles later on.

Whatever you do, do not be greedy for the winnings because that could cost you a lot if something goes wrong.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learning from those who have experience on: September 06, 2023, 08:54:30 AM
Some people will says that gambling is a good way of earning but in my opinion gambling is a bad addiction and addiction does not go easily. A gambler have to minimize the timing for gambling, minimize the money for gambling and then he should overcome it by involving just one time in a week.

I think if a person is so busy in gambling that he initiate selling of whole things to utilize the amount in gambling then getting rid of such habit will takes too long time and gambler himself has no idea that what is bad or good for him because he is in continues trying of getting more money so in such greed he loss his each and everything even his own value in a society.

I agree with this.

For me, gambling isn't suitable to be a full time profession and source of income. It is a form of entertainment that could bring satisfaction and relaxation to you. A form of hobby or pass time that could let you earn on the side. But most often, people do not think of this, and rather view gambling as a scheme to get rich quickly when in fact it doesn't work like that. You can become addicted and dependent on gambling if you won't limit yourself from betting and playing. Hence, establishing boundaries is essential to prevent yourself from falling into it. Boundaries include but not limited to having a specific time and fund allocated for gambling.
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When to invest in bitcoin on: September 05, 2023, 03:27:39 PM
Not only in bear market but the right time to invest in Bitcoin is when you're finally decided that you are a 100% sure about it.

Because even in a bear market, it could even dump more and you might do a panic selling to avoid losing more profits, that's what newbies think most of the time so they regret it in the end because the truth is, they really don't know what they are into. What I mean is, if you're really decided to invest in Bitcoin, just make sure that you know how bear market and bullish market works, to avoid panic selling.
490  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you risking investment in other things? on: September 05, 2023, 02:19:34 PM
I only invest in Bitcoin when it comes to the majority of my savings.

I trust Bitcoin when it comes to investments, because it is worth the wait rather than storing it in a bank which only gives you a very small amount of profits. Investing in other things that you have mentioned is also a good thing but it may take a while before you get to know it well for you to make profits in a certain period amount of time.
491  Economy / Economics / Re: The Devaluation of fiat money is powered by Inflation on: September 05, 2023, 01:27:21 PM
Inflation is the most natural thing that happens in some corrupted governments around the globe.

And they are happy every single time inflation happens, because they are the only one that's being benefited by this kind of event. According to what I've read in google, inflation is a hidden tax, that's why government always try to minimize it only or ignore it because they don't want to waste the money of their own citizens because it is theirs already.
492  Economy / Economics / Re: Having a problem a Personal Finance? on: September 05, 2023, 12:19:03 PM
      -   You, yes, you. Are you tired? Can't make progress? Or every time you move forward, something bad always happens? Are you in a situation where you have to start from scratch again? Where does your problem start? in money? Why do you always have no money?

Are these problems really related to finance  Huh  Finance problems happen when you have enough money but you are unable to manage it properly.

If you are unable to make progress in your current job role or business and if everything to try turns out be against you, then it is not the financial issues but rather it is something related to your skills which you are not competent at or perhaps you do not know how to run a particular business and always end up in a loss.

I think you misunderstood OP.

What he meant by that is that, no matter what you do, there's seems to be no progress in yourself, since you can't budget your own salary due to overspending. And financial problem is not only for those who have so much money but doesn't know how to spend it properly. It is for people who does have a problem on budgeting their salary for their bills, it's either not enough because of being underpaid, due to overspending in their wants or they don't really have the privilege to earn a decent salary to sustain their needs.
493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Behaviours of gamblers you dislike. on: September 02, 2023, 05:55:16 PM
When I look at the generality of my gambler friends, there were times when impatience and greed went through the roof.I had these feelings at the time, but I improved myself by limiting myself in this regard and learned to be patient and not to be greedy as well as being patient.A gambler who manages to control these two emotions can be successful here, but it should not be forgotten that the luck factor should be with him.
As you said, most gamblers who complain when they lose are actually just as happy when they win. There is winning and losing in this business, taking this risk, the game is played anyway.

It's good that you managed to control yourself despite having strong urge to be greedy. It's really the discipline that can get your far in gambling without being lost and addicted in the process. Setting up limitations for you to follow and stick on all throughout is what will make you responsible to your financial aspect as well as to be patient when it comes to income generation. After all, not everything can be achieved instantly and easily. Sometimes it takes time for a good outcome.

Having luck and being disciplined are two of the key factors that can bring you to success in gambling. Combination of knowledge, skills, and the aforementioned factors even more strengthen your chances to win the play and bet you make.
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I go with Bitcoin or Altcoins for the upcoming bull run cycle? on: September 02, 2023, 04:13:31 PM
If I were you, I'd put it all in Bitcoin.

I'd risk it on altcoins but that would require a lot of research and decision making so I'll go for Bitcoin instead. It's better to invest on something more solid and strong rather than risking it to a quick rich hoping scenario that would happen. Just make sure to put that Bitcoin in a well reputable wallet, but don't put it all in just one basket, for some assurance that in case your wallet got hacked, at least you still have another one that's store the other half of your bitcoin.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: September 02, 2023, 03:21:06 PM

We can learn a lot from an environment of various people to gain new experiences that will be useful for us. From there, we can also learn to continue to increase strong self-control so that we will not be affected by the temptations of gambling. We can also avoid using a lot of money, preventing us from becoming gambling addicts like the people in our environment. But maybe the point of gambling is that the government can get more tax money to support the country's economy, especially if the casino is in a certain city. But perhaps people feel that gambling does not benefit them because it only adds to problems, especially making many people addicted to gambling.

Gambling is one of the tax generators of a country among all the other businesses that pay taxes as well. It contributes to the economy of a country specifically those places that have a couple good casino establishments that are also being used as tourist spot and must-go-to places of the travelers. One good example is Las Vegas in Nevada that caters so many gambling spots for the tourists and even the locals.

Regarding learning from other people's environment, yes, I agree that that is one of the good ways to understand something without deeply exploring on your own. That way, you can save yourself from the troubles that others have gone through because you knew it from their experience first-hand.
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope is all I have left on: September 02, 2023, 02:22:29 PM
If you have hope, there's a lot of ways for you to find ways to earn more money to invest in Bitcoin.
Once in every two months investing in Bitcoin is still an investment, don't belittle yourself, don't compare yourself to other people, because that's the thief of joy, as the saying says. Don't rush yourself, just trust the process and you'll eventually gonna get wherever you wanted.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: September 02, 2023, 10:54:45 AM

Yes, it is true that addiction will make a person poor, because I rarely see addicts becoming rich, on the contrary, it makes addicts bankrupt and moreover many commit suicide because of large debts because they are ashamed of their families, that's why they are always reminded to gamble with be responsible and gamble wisely because it is difficult to recover from addiction.

There are lots of threads discussing addiction on this forum so that you can remind beginner gamblers, especially not to play like that, starting with small bets then getting big and out of control, after being broke and poor, you only realize that you are addicted, I think it is important to continue to remind beginners to be more careful when gambling.

This is what I commonly see, hear, and read too. I guess the usual scenario of gambling addicts that don't have the means to sustain his vices in the first place really involves becoming poor because he isn't financially literate to begin with and having piled up burdens on their chest such as having anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses because they neglect themselves. They prioritize gambling instead of taking care of themselves and their future. Which is really a problematic thing since it will have a chain reaction if you ever go downhill.

Most rich persons who became rich because of gambling, I can't really say they are addicted. I'd rather say they are passionate about gambling because they managed to grow profit by playing. In this case, they have what it takes to be successful such as the knowledge, determination, and of course discipline that made them achieve their current standing. If they are just like any addicts, they wouldn't be successful since gambling addicts are known to chase winnings despite it being impractical and irrational.
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My experience as a beginner trader on: September 01, 2023, 03:38:38 PM
There are no experience mate Grin you lose  as a beginner to become a stronger trader  Smiley so for everyone out there thinking of QUITTING QUITTING is not the option here just keep learning  till you  can say "Gone are those days " Grin

I agree.

But it's not applicable for everyone, because we don't have the same wallet capacity, meaning some of us have only limited amount of money and some of us have enough to continue their trading path. Not all of the quitters are weak, because maybe they are fitted on somewhere else. We all want profits in cryptocurrency, but it doesn't mean trading is the only way to have profits.
499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not for everyone! on: September 01, 2023, 02:10:21 PM
I definitely agree with you.

Not because some of your friends do it and making some profits doesn't mean you have to do it as well. We all excel in different kind of fields, we only have to figure it out where. Trying trading in futures is not a bad thing, it only becomes bad if you're to mad, greedy, and frustrated every time you lost a trade, that's why you're gonna end up chasing your losses without any effective plans at all.
500  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: September 01, 2023, 12:09:30 PM
usually we spend money according to our prestige, this is what makes us stressed. If we only have enough money for one month, but instead want to buy luxury goods, we end up borrowing money from other people or even banks that charge interest, which makes us stressed. learning not to be prestige is the best way to manage money, I totally agree with the first point.

Prestige is an attitude that is born when a person does not want to look poor in front of the people around him so that people who feel proud will always find ways to cover up their weaknesses or poverty with various things. Overall or in general it is really not good for anyone to consider prestige in front of many people so that it is recognized as great by everyone, even though in reality one's life is still in debt and it has not been repaid by several parties.

The feeling of prestige is a feeling that can be changed or removed slowly from each of us if we want to live more comfortably and be grateful for what we have now. So if we don't want to experience stress or difficulties in life, manage our finances as well as possible because the basic problem can always arise when we don't have money in life.

Exactly.

Those kind of people will even lend money just to sustain their rich lifestyle even though they can't even afford it, in exchange on just to flex that they have "money" to the people around them. I don't know what kind of mindset is that, since there's no benefits I can think of on doing such kind of thing.

Based on my experience, this type of people never learn, they always do the same thing even after something bad happened to them like they ended up being broke for a certain period of time.
