I cannot verify this source so take it with a grain of salt - https://twitter.com/ArmedForcesUkr/status/1497425201969123328

Read reports hat Russian troops were planning on capturing Kyiv within last 24 hours, but the source above states no captures of any Ukrainian cities were reported over the previous day. I cannot imagine any circumstances in which Putin is retreating so early, so this only tells me prolonged occupation of Russian troops in or around major Ukrainian cities if Putin decides not to capture to put troops on the ground in Kyiv. This is being celebrated as if the Ukrainians are winning. I would remind those that celebrate such a minor victory that these events can last years. If not Kyiv today, then tomorrow.

I don't think the real assault has started yet.

Putin just sent special forces, reconnaissance units, and ad-hoc gangs of insurgents with the aim to destabilize the current government.

The real bombing has not started yet.

It is important Ukrainians destroy all major roads, bridges, airports, etc. to make it harder to carry out a full invasion.

To fan out some of the fog of war, some cities were already captured, and almost half of the assembled Russian forces are still idling outside of Ukraine. I don't believe underestimating Russian muscle is a benefit

Russia is probably getting kicked out of SWIFT.

Even disregarding the "probably" part, if that were to happen does that mean that EU will rip up all its current contracts and just stop buying gas/oil from Russia? Quick search shows that EU imports 40% of its natural gas from Russia.
https://www.bbc.com/news/58888451

Surely EU cant expect the product if they have no way of paying for it. Or can Russian then demand payment be delivered say in gold bars

Seems to be deleted and unlikely to be true given Turkey's position in the conflict.

Just like with Kremlin propaganda, posting clearly biased pro-Ukrainian tweets isn't the best source of news if that's what you're aiming for. It only takes a few minutes to cross check with other sources.

The fog is starting to get thick in these parts. Lets try to restrain ourselves and stay objective

I know some will not align with his politics, and others will (somewhat rightly) criticize his use of the word "crypto" a little too frequently.  But this guy really does GET Bitcoin compared to his peers.  He even got the fact that it will help the power grid in Texas, and his understanding of that is fairly deep.

Anyway, I get a kick out of his delight at the nunchuck letter.

Some may say he is a politician and none of them can be trusted... also possibly valid.

Not a fan of his, but pretty cool coverage. Much needed to offset the incoming, bitcoin is just a way for Russia to bypass sanctions FUD

Ukraine soldiers leaving for war and most of them will never return.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that guy in the first photo is a head taller than the chick he's hugging yet the runt playing nazi is a dwarf that a nazi would never call arian?

Also the runt's ears stick out while the others ears do not.

But its a false argument anyway because you can't paint an entire country from a few bad apples.  If you did then every countrys people would deserve to die.

People taking the comparison seriously? I thought it was a joke. Look this one has two hands, and so does this one! Coincidence? I think not!

Russians where forced to retreat in Afghanistan because they couldn't win that war, Poetin will be even more bitter if he loses this campaign and losing face when he needs to do that, that's what i mean with 'hilarious'.

Let's be real, Ukraine is not some far-away mountainous shithole, it's right next door to Russia's European "mainland" with easy access over vast flat land. So Russians can and likely will overpower it with sheer numbers and declare victory as soon as they install a puppet in Kyiv and that is likely the propaganda photo-op they're aiming for in the short-to-medium term.

What happens after that is a bit unclear. On batshit-crazy theory I've heard from my Ukrainian colleague is that Putin would have to deport a few million people to Siberia if he wants to break the resistance and hold Ukraine for an extended period of time. But we've seen enough crazy reality over the last couple of days to make it seem less batshit now.

History shows that US didn't need Cuba to become fully supportive of US. It becoming a failed state so it doesn't try anything like that again suited US just fine ...

Sounding somber and looking tired, Zelensky went on: “Who is ready to guarantee Ukraine's accession to NATO? Honestly, everyone is afraid.”
“I asked all the partners of the state if they are with us. They are with us, but they are not ready to take us into an alliance with them,” he said.
“No matter how many conversations I had with foreign leaders, I heard a few things. The first is that we are supported. I am grateful to each state that helps us concretely, not just in words. But there is a second — we are left alone to defend our state. Who is ready to fight with us? Honestly — I do not see," Zelensky said.

From the latest that i could find, Ukraine reports 160 missile strikes, and 137 casualties. Either Russia is pounding sand, cant hit their targets, or there are a ton of unmanned targets in Ukraine?

Of course they weren't hanging around waiting to be killed. Most missile strikes targeted air force and air defenses, with only a couple hitting civilian targets.

But those who died did so in style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z94QWGO3ILo

Yeah if the recording is true its truly epic. RIP brave souls. Whats even more chilling, it appears that the Ukrainian forces are speaking Russian between each other.

I have the above braindead asshole muted.

I  respect ALL of your rights to interact with him as you will.  But if you are on the fence about it, I respectfully ask you not quote that idiot.  Thank you.  Roach might have made more sense.

My bad, must be too wound up on the news to pick up on trolling.

The conclusion is simple, there are 3 countries that need to be bombed out of existence until they stop breathing:  China, America & Russia. Then we have peace.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

'Countries' and the political doctrine shoveled out by the elites are not one and the same. I have no problems with the Russian people..nor Chinese for that matter...or anyone else really. Its the perpetuation of fear mongering and strong arm tactics by these entrenched entities that seek control and power just for the sake of that itself.

Of those 3...at least in one you can still do this and not having too much worry of disappearing or having your social score adjusted.

...but not too much security...

Tell us that you know nothing about security, without telling us that you know nothing about security

SHA 256 is excessive for a 10 minute cycle.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

Maybe it was good to add those in a progressive way, like for example in 2032 to have SHA 224, and in 2048 to have SHA 256... etc.  Cry  Cry

Huh and wtf would sha224 achieve vs sha256? Faster calculations thus higher difficulty?

Hundreds arrested as shocked Russians protest Ukraine attack

Some 1,745 people in 54 Russian cities were detained, at least 957 of them in Moscow.

Makes me wonder what USs plan was when they supported revolution in Ukraine. Was the expectation that Russia will not retaliate (if so looks to be miscalculated), or was this reaction anticipated and the bet was on toppling Putin (currently being played out)

With comming sanctions those people will suffer, Putin and his inner circle doing all they can to stop the protests.

Mongols, Tatars, Vikings, Teutonic knights, United Europe under Napoleon's France, United Europe under Hitler's Germany, and now United Europe under Anglo-American Empire. Russia is under sanctions for the last 1000 years. They simply do not care about sanctions when they have to defend their country.

Conclusion:
There can not be security for the Brussels Union if there is no security for the Russian Federation. If you say that you don't care about Russian red lines you just get kicked in the backside.

Ukraine lost their sovereignty in 2014 and became Anglo-American colony under Nazi rule. Putin just gives Ukraine a second chance to have a truly independent, neutral and democratic country.

Meh, we've already been through this in the 60s, MAD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutual_assured_destruction that's the only thing guaranteeing security on this blue marble. When Soviets got too close to US through Cuba, US made Cuba a failed state. Now it seems US got too close to Russia through Ukraine, and Russia is about to make Ukraine a failed state. Sucks for the people, war is hell, but these proxy wars are better than the alternative of direct confrontation.

why bitcoin is the weakest link among stocks, etc., though?
idk

it surely goes down fast at any sign of trouble....then recovers fast, of course.

Appears that we need more pain before Bitcoin decouples from risky assets and becomes a safety hedge. Pretty sure Russian and Ukrainian currencies will go to shit now. Unfortunately this is the event that has the potential to do just that. No one wants to see the boat sink, just to see how the lifeboats float.

... shit's just got real, but gonna get really real shortly.

Putin's launched surgical strikes targeting military installations across Ukraine (you know all those hundreds of millions of weapons that UK, USA, NATO just freighted into Ukraine in the last months? yes those installations)

... but the pretext has already been well-prepped with the brainwashed sheeple, they need a major excuse to crash the shite out of the living-dead zombie financial system, freeze everybody's accounts and get this "Great Reset" going for real.

... or the nukes get launched, either way hope you've made your peace with the creator because they won't give you any warning if there's incoming death and destruction, maybe 20 mins only ...

Yeah no, if there were no nukes when missiles were in Cuba, there wont be any nukes over Ukraine.

How is it political? I even resisted the urge to add "Let's go, Brandon" to the background. By the way, let's go, Brandon.

Shame, putting ChartBuddy on ignore for now
