1801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Yet another GPU miner release! [YAC] on: June 27, 2013, 08:33:17 PM
This version is my attempt to optimize the Keccak code as much as possible. 128-bit vector operations are used where possible. Unfortunately the core operations of Keccak are still 64-bit because Keccak is annoying. Speedup is pretty minor. My 7790 goes from 108 khash/s to 112 khash/s. This version doesn't use the vstore* functions and should work with very old compilers (not tested though).

Epic man, you work so hard on this...I'll try it out and post back with results. Currently running at 223kh/s with my 7970.
1802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Yet another GPU miner release! [YAC] on: June 27, 2013, 03:32:52 PM

Those are the settings I use to run it, nothing left out. I do have 8 gigs of system ram cause it's cheap. I leave s, q and e alone. Half the time the pool communications crap out, so it's a problem on their end...

Oh and it's Win7.

Thanks man, I guess it's my ram holding me back. Same for scrypt in general, everything BUT sha256 which nets me 750kh/s
1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Yet another GPU miner release! [YAC] on: June 27, 2013, 02:48:37 PM
I'm stuck at 223kh/s with my 7970...not too bad though. My pentium d does 1kh/s

I'm getting that on my 7950's. Shouldn't the 7970 get a bit more? Just curious...

Care to share your settings ? I can't go beyond 150 with my 7950.
Also what are your readings for WU in cgminer ? (mine avg 160)

Code:
yacminer --scrypt -o http://pool -u x -p x -w 256 -I 16 --thread-concurrency 21712 --gpu-memclock 1040 --gpu-engine 0-1040

I set memclock low because it does not have an effect on performance which is very strange since scrypt is memory hard, guess that only a part of the algo is gpu optimized ATM.
I have also noticed that lowering the memory speed boosts my WU from 100/110 at 1490 Mhz to 140/150 at 1040 Mhz.

Here's my yacminer stuff:

Code:
yacminer --scrypt -w 256 -I 18 --lookup-gap 2 -o http://yac.coinmine.pl:8088 -u x -p x --thread-concurrency 41000

Using Visiontek 7950s, core at 1000 and mem at 1500, voltage at stock, fans at 80%. WU will be rough estimate since I had to restart yacminer... damn pool died on me, again.... things should level out in a couple hours:

WU:  362/m

tried I 19 and it didn't like it  Wink

How much system memory and is that win or linux?
I'm at 225-250 with my 7970, i 13, tc 18368, lookup gap 3 g 2. 2gb system memory won't allow me to set higher TC.

Quick question: what is the best s, q and e setting? I get pool is not providing work fast enough from time to time.

Thanks for your continued development with this Mikaelh.

+1

N=10 settings for 560ti with no HW errors and v6 cl, 24kh
--scrypt --worksize 128 --lookup-gap 1 -I 11 --thread-concurrency 4192

Try higher thread concurrency and lookup-gap and then you'll be able to increase intensity.
You need a cudaminer :p

1805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Yet another GPU miner release! [YAC] on: June 26, 2013, 12:05:31 AM
How much until GPU mining becomes useless?

Doesn't seem really profitable when other coins give more than 0.017btc a day at 248kh/s (you can get 650kh/s with the same card and mine FTC)

I'm still mining it, despite my card doing 150kh/s (can't go over 12224 for TC since I only have 2gb of system memory)
1806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Yet another GPU miner release! [YAC] on: June 25, 2013, 10:42:05 PM
Trying it now...seems like yac either killed my card or my win 7 install got borked with your v5 kernel somehow (?)
I can't mine other coins either, getting tons of hw atm.
(this is when trying to mine ltc)

You will probably need to restart that computer.

I did...but same thing.
Tried the new kernel and it works! Problem is I'm stuck at -i 12 since I can't up TC more than 12224 in my pc. (2gb system memory)
1807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Yet another GPU miner release! [YAC] on: June 25, 2013, 10:18:33 PM
Here's a new version which should fix HW errors for most people.

scrypt-chacha-v6.cl
https://mega.co.nz/#!NhFFxSzC!I7gIqnxyL7LLR5rP8E60bAjAQQFGueDHv1wygufQm0c

Remember to delete your *.bin files.

If you are still getting HW errors, you need to increase either thread concurrency or lookup gap.

we will finally be on an exchange

Which one!?
1809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 7970 won't mine at all... on: June 25, 2013, 10:06:39 PM
Hi, I started having problems after mining yac coins with my gpu, not sure if it is related though.
I have a screenshot:

I did have a proper mining setup and cooling, and was doing 600kh/s mining ltc before this happened today.
I rebooted but can't get it to mine at all, not sure what is up since I'm not at home and am just using remote control to mine and test stuff.

Any clues?
I'm running a shitty board, D945GCCR (Intel 775 board) with a Pentium D cpu, 2x1gb ddr2 sticks (which might be faulty, or at least one of them probably is), a corsair tx750 psu and plenty of fans, using win 7 64.

Thanks in advance!

Hey feeleep any chance we can increase the cookie lifespan?  It seems like the yacp site auto logs me out every hour or so.  Smiley

just mine - dont check the wallet over and over again Wink

I will look in to this later today.
please can you fix manual payout on your pools

Thanks!

I'll notify you as soon as I order more shares.
1812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: http://yac.coinmine.pl/ - much better pool. 0% fee. Higher hashrate. on: June 23, 2013, 06:30:12 PM
Does this or any non p2pool work?

I get close to no accepted shares, and a friend with an i7 3820 is getting 29kh/s reported at the site, and only a few accepted shares.

It works, just not real well.  I'm doing about 30 kh/s and been getting an acceptance rate of around 50% today (or a rejection rate of 50% if you're the glass half empty type)  Undecided

Yup, I switched over to yacp.coinmine.pl and am currently gpu mining whilst running the cpu...hurts hash rate a bit but well, I'm experimenting a bit with yac.
I hope it gets somewhere since I like the idea behind this coin (and yaks :p)

I'm mining at yacp.coinmine and it's working fine for me...only thing is it doesn't report a hashrate unless I go to pool stats, and it takes AGES to get coins confirmed and in my account balance in general (I guess this is normal...)

Doing 545kh/s atm, should I stick to this pool or is the non p one better for me? (yac.coinmine.pl)

Por cuanto tiempo aproximadamente?

Seria interesante una p2pool de Digital Coin aparte de Litecoin.
