Hi, anyone gotten this to work? I'm using Win 8 currently...trying to avoid bamt since I want a 64 bit os for cpu mining and easier to setup monitoring and remote control (can't setup port forward with my isp)
I only get the os to recognize 4 gpus, not sure if I need to jump some pci-e pins or not, or maybe I'm missing something else.

"version with updated drivers for 280/290 GPUs and a x64 build for the CPU&GPU miners." bounty material indeed...
I think the 64 bit part is impossible with PE or so I read, but updated drivers, can't we just install them manually? I haven't tested this yet, I'll try it tomorrow.

Is there a better service and a more affordable one that could give you a better ROI?
Hard to tell, server4you or warriorvps, maybe...

Hi all. Need some advice...cgminer crash.
Windows 7 Ultimate 4 R9 290x Catalyst Version 13.11 (Driver Packaging Version 3.25.18-131007a-163536E-Asus)
Trying to setup cgminer 3.9.0 or Guiminer both which crash in 1-2 seconds stating "cgminer has stopped working"
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Use cgminer 3.5...

Touche'. I read 290. Need...more...sleep.
In all seriousness, anyone have any idea on how to get the individual GPUs to read out in CGMiner on a 5970? (per my above post) This has me baffled. Its hashing well now (~750 total) but when I toss in a 6xxx this weekend i'm sure optimizing is going to be a bee-hatch.
Just use a conf file, and use commas...you can figure it out easily that way.

Here's my fix for the issue with shared wallets I discovered earlier: https://github.com/mikaelh2/primecoin/commit/a1c3f5854e9970d2f9f13ff75601dc7c87bf83c3Basically this should help people who are running lots of miners using the same shared wallet. My fix is to initialize the extra nonce value using the current value of a nanosecond-precision clock. That should give a unique value on every machine. Boost.Chrono is now required for compiling and I have updated the makefiles to reflect that. Thanks a lot!

why only intensity 13? Should be able to increase that and subsequently your k/hs. I'd go with at least 16 (after your GPU/TC settings are dialed)
Because it's a 280X (or a 7970 rebrand with a better bios and ram), they like i 13 and g 2 dude. :p

I'm eager for cryptoave to open...I should scoop some DGC while the dumping continues.

Regarding the above post, all is working well, but after 2 days, now I'm only averaging in the upper 500KHs range. The GPU stays at 72-75 C, and upon a restart in the console, it goes back to the same range, not higher as originally. What would be the best thing to tweak without making it hotter? For example, thread concurrency > 8192?
Try this conf: "intensity" : "13, 13", "worksize" : "256, 256", "kernel" : "scrypt", "lookup-gap" : "2,2", "thread-concurrency" : "22336,22336", "shaders" : "2048,2048", "gpu-fan" : "30-90,30-90", "gpu-engine" : "1070,1070", "gpu-memclock" : "1500,1500", "gpu-memdiff" : "0,0", "gpu-powertune" : "20,20", "temp-cutoff" : "86,86", "temp-overheat" : "78,78", "temp-target" : "70,70", "api-listen" : true, "api-port" : "4028", "auto-fan" : true, "auto-gpu" : false, "expiry" : "120", "gpu-dyninterval" : "7", "gpu-threads" : "2",

Hi everybody, I am using GeForce 560 ti and Radeon 290x on my motherboard, and I have Radeon HD 7970. Nothing working when I put 7970 and 290 x on crossfire. I have on 290 990 khs and on GeForce 560 ti 160 khs. Why I can't use 290x and 7970?
Don't mix nvidia and amd on the same system! :p That's asking for trouble...I'd reccomend uninstalling all gpu drivers and starting from scratch, AMD only. 13.12+sdk 2.9 haven been great for me. Also, you can't crossfire 290x and 7970. Different architecture. No need for cables or xfire enabled anyway...

Hope everythings works out by tomorrow cant wait. same here! I'm mining in the dark right now :p Don't? Can't you guys change your payout address to something else? I used to deposit stuff at coinex.pw but had to get wallets for said coins...

Thanks, will try it asap. I'm trying to decide which cpu coin to mine, or how to split my resources between them. Looking forward to getting an 8 or 10 core xeon for my x79 board.

just got the wallet and it doesnt sync
the nodes seem to be outdated...
I'd reccomend adding mikaelh's seednode to the conf, google primecoin seednode and you'll find it.

Guys, can you help me set up a securecoin miner using ubuntu 12.04? I couldn't get it to work yet

Any updates on this?
I like beeeeer for xpm, but not sure if it's the best choice for pts.-

I know it's kinda offtopic, but anyone seen r9 290 results?

Been a while but it's definitely looking great I should start scooping some DGC again...keep up the great work Baritus

So with the diff change to 10+ now do we still use the default parameters when solo mining? Or should there be some changes to optimize the process?
Good question, and how do you apply the new formula mikaelh posted? Say I have 0.433335 cpd...I get something like this (which makes no sense): 0,43335 * (1 - 10.1326 + 0.035) huh O.o Fractional diff is the diff minus the integer part, so your formula should read 0.43335 * (1-.1326+0.035) = 0.39105504 Thanks guys! Silly me, fractional...duh, was there all along xD So, my theoretical dual xeon rig should get 0.4 blocks/day roughly. Interesting :p

I really like YAC... Anyone mining on gpus still? I might get an R9 290 soonish, wonder if it'll be able to mine with its 4gb vram buffer.
