Hey cbuchner1, how about bout that To Do list >>> TODO <<< Usability Improvements: - better CUDA error handling and recovery from errors - add failover support between different pools EDIT: And no Cudamanager isn't a satisfactory failover implementation. Cudamanager eats some of my hash rate...yeah, we need failover more than anything else.

Is it possible to add --nfmin --nfmax and --ntime command line arguments?
That would enable this miner to work with any scrypt-jane coin. :-)
Get the 3.4.2 version, it already has those commands.

Would be cool...haven't had success yet. Dude just link me the drivers you want on Gandalf's ISO, I'll load them and send you a link. Awesome! I wanted to try it for nvidia gpus, so: http://www.nvidia.es/download/driverResults.aspx/73251/esAnd I'll need EVGA Precision X, not sure if you can run that as a portable app. (also, cudaminer, the latest release)

... So you're doing +600 in addition to the EVGA overclock in bios or including? Mine seems to throw cuda 30 errors anytime I approach +415 in the precision x app. Still have only been able to get 315 on one of my evga ftw cards. The MSI gamer cards seem to get to 298 before giving the same error in cudaminer. Seem like totally stable overclocks besides those errors happening eventually. It's luck of the draw, oc wise, but it also depends on the types of memory chips used by the manufacturer. We can say on average 300kh/s per 750ti after ocing it, which isn't half bad for 70-80w. Now, is that smarter than mining yacoin with them? Probably not the case, keeping in mind all of them seem to do over 3.2kh/s and draw 18-20w whilst doing so.

I was using 3.4.2 and 3.3.1. Somehow memory got stuck at 500mb even if card was not doing anything. I had to disable card in windows and than enable it again. It is working ok now. maybe something went wrong with my card or maybe the program. Just to let you know.
For R7 240 4GB (from wiki): --worksize 128 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 -R 640 --thread-concurrency 24576
Isn't 24576 weird number? I use 25600 (20x1280) and it works great.
24576 is just 1536mb per thread with LG 2...I have to run 40696 with LG 3 on my 2gb cards for some reason. If I do the equivalent with LG 2 I get HW. lol :p

Blower type coolers, 100% sure draw air from the front of the card towards the back where the monitor plugs are. I'd suggest both a front intake as well as a side exhaust fan, the same fan that blows cool air towards the pcie slots, flip it, and have a second fan pointed at the cards from the front (pcie connector side) perpendicular to the pcie slots, so to speak. The best solution would be some sort of duct to funnel cold air to the gpu's intakes and cool the board while at it.
Having some warm air reach the psu's internals doesn't sound like my idea of fun :p

Hmm, thought yacminer worked with the sj-**** variables to mine other variable n factor scrypt-jane coins (?)
Can't get mine to do UTC (was experimenting a bit with a new card...r9 270 2gb)
It does, so long as you're running 3.4.2. I mined ThorCoin with it for giggles, and lottery tickets too. Hmmm, I'll try again later tonight. Thanks. let me know if you have problems. BTW - the new version I'm working on fixes the scrypt support and adds N-Scrypt support, so you can actually use one program for pretty much any scrypt derivative coin That would put you on cudaminer levels of awesome, but with failover support, and other goodies (more awesome :p) I hate having all those crappy cgminer forks made by who knows who in my pc...not a dev, as to examine the source code myself anyway.

lol, yeah, that was confusing...and nice rig Christian.
Don't you cook your psu like that?
As for the cards, did you try placing the psu on the other end of the gpus?

Is there a way to calculate how much ram is actually needed vs the # of cuda cores or something along those lines, or scrypt mining? ie: Would a 2gb 750 mine faster than a 1gb 750? Regular scrypt, no, but scrypt-jane it might do better than the 1gb one.

This coin has a lots of potential, imho, and the developers and community behind it does help. Anyone else looking forward to those scrypt asics showing up in droves? hint: loads and loads of high end used r9 270 2gb/7950/7970/r9 280x/r9 290/290x cards for sale, for peanuts...

Been mining at the cow today, and yeah, getting tons of disconnects, so I just added a second pool with load balance enabled for now :/

Stanr010, did you enable frame rate targets in precision x? If so, disable that...
|
|

I'm adding network and gpu drivers to a winpe build I have...will try your latest vnc enabled one later.
This one boots to either a 64bit or 32bit winpe 8.1.
Thanks for the tips, post a donation address or pm me catcha.

It's really strange, I had success one time installing wireless drivers in the x86 os. Rebooted and drivers were gone, tried again and it didn't wokr This is really confusing to say the least :p The system drive (X:) loads into ram. When you're running it live you could erase half the files and rename the other half random gibberish, and on reboot it would go back to exactly how it was. You gotta use dism to load drivers, offline. Here, extract this and go to where dism.exe lives and run those commands I told you a few posts back to add drivers: http://l.bitcasa.com/DmXx2MckThanks a lot! Will give it a shot in a while...was trying to get my GTX 780 to run some 3d benchmarks at ridiculously high clocks (my idea of Saturday night fun)
