and my compiled windows client: https://mega.co.nz/#!U4FDwS7b!N1LsCiXXh55gAtlQFDrRyn4DUOB4xadaLLBpMWhIUac note, use at your own risk, it's better you build from the source directly in github. Thanks, I'll try my luck at building it for linux...compiling for windows is a pain.

With the mess that is cryptsy, I'm discouraged to trade with these other alts...I'd rather stick to mcxnow but they don't trade starcoin or others (for obvious reasons).

I've gotten 6.42xpm in four days, but I only mined for short intervals, I'd estimate 12hs per day.
so you're getting way more ~2x more than I am. are you using any special settings? what cpu do you have? I7 3820 at 4.3ghz, compiled the primeminer myself using hp10 optimizations posted in mikaelh's linux compilation guide. Getting 2 chains per day, vs the 1.2 chains per day windows build gave me. Settings I cannot post them right now since my pc is off and I didn't install ssh to connect via putty yet (lazy lol) That's why I don't mine 24/7 yet :p I'll post them here for you later today. is mining in linux any better/faster than windows? or linux in a vm? Depends, for me it is...since I compiled the binaries myself and optimized them according to my cpu type/arch.

Great, thanks!
I'm without a gpu now but I'll get back to this pool as soon as I get my new cards.
Keep up the good work.

Abandon Thread!
Consider this thread abandoned! It was fun while it lasted. Maybe we should offer a new bounty, held in escrow, which will be released to a new developer (or team) which can improve this miner so it meets certain pre-set goals in terms of performance and stability. We could even put a reasonable time limit that if the pre-set goals are not met, the bounties are returned to the donators. I would provide a few coins to such an endeavor - we could use the forum moderator Saltyspoon as the escrow or someone else trusted in the community like John K. or Dooglus to hold the funds. That's a productive post...a change from the rest of them in this thread. Who's in for this?

Please, stop feeding the troll. The mods should just delete his posts. Enough derailing of this thread.
Back to issue: I have a question related to the price decline at Cryptsy:
Even if people buy up large amounts of digitalcoins to a higher price, the autosale drops do not adjust to the new highs at all. Someone could buy it up to 50.000 and the next price would still be 13050 !??
He has some trollish posts, but the one related to the amount of blocks till the fix is implemented is perfectly valid.

is there a thread somewhere where we collect different paramters (sievesize etc) for different CPU models, as it is usually the way with scrypt and sha256 GPU wikis? or is it still every man for himself?
I just created a wiki for this purpose. Feel free to join, and we can all work together to figure out the best settings for all the miners! Official Announcement Thread: http://www.ppcointalk.org/index.php?topic=511.0Site: xpmwiki.com Thanks!

Mikaelh said HP11 introduced a fix which made CPD look less impressive, but is more accurate. First page....
|
|
|
Yeah, we all know how donations work, but not many know how much a developer the caliber of mtrlt could make in the time he took to make this miner...pretty sure much more than the btc he got as donations.
It's not great, but it exists, and that's a big feat by itself.
|
|
|
What's the CPD you are getting ? Want to see if the formula used to "predict" blocks has actually any meaning, although variance can be a bitch
FWIW I have a total of about 3 chainsperday on HP11 across many machines. At current diff I only see about one block per day or less. Did you try beeeeer.org to compare profitability?

I wonder how many months after the public release it will take until the GPU miner is actually mining at least a bit faster than the CPU Miner.
I'm guessing never. This project was a complete failure and a borderline scam. I don't know about that - just need some good coders who love primecoin to take up the project. Hopefully mtrlt will stay involved and provide leadership. He said borderline. That means not necesarilly but it sure feels like it. Absolutely 0 of the donators got any kind of ROI whatsoever. True but now the primecoin community has a working, albeit buggy and inefficient, gpu miner with source code to serve as a starting point. That's something at least, but yeah, the donations part was rather disappointing for now, to say the least.

It's an amazing logo, and your work makes it stand out more. Shame price has been going down and down again...

Middlecoin needs some competition, and so does multipool. I don't agree with coinchoose's profitability charts.

Nice man, I'm gonna get back into this with my dual card setup soon...running a 4350 atm.

I'm without a gpu, but I used to be 80% of the pool's hashing power. So it did grow lately :p I'll probably return to it after I get my dual 7970s in a week or two.
