yam miner updated to M7v version, now includes better support for MinerGate, as well as more performance enhancements.

Links are at @yvg1900 Twitter feed or at twitter.com/yvg1900

Isn't the dev's nick yvg900? Maybe I'm wrong, but it'd be a good idea to double check xD

Yes, my nick is yvg1900, NOT yvg900, and I am the dev of yam. And yes, my Twitter feed is official source for links.

Validity of builds can be verified by checking signatures via any Qt-based wallet (there are checksums and signatures files in file repo).

Btw, is there somebody impersonating as yvg900?

I'd swear I've seen an yvg900 around...maybe I'm crazy :p
Sorry.

Thanks a lot! Will need testing to get some profitability numbers now.

Come on guys, it can be simpler...I'd suggest using Yacoin's dynamic block reward and go multi algo as suggested.

Yacoin's usd valuation has been relatively stable, and the coin is still great for miners.

My client shuts down immediately after running the .bat (path is correct) - what's the issue?

Replace the text in run.bat with the following:

Code:
@ECHO OFF
IF EXIST java (
start "Qora" java -Xmx256m -Djava.library.path=libs/native -jar Qora.jar
) ELSE (
IF EXIST "%PROGRAMFILES%\Java\jre7" (
start "Qora" "%PROGRAMFILES%\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx256m -Djava.library.path=libs/native -jar Qora.jar
) ELSE (
IF EXIST "%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Java\jre7" (
start "Qora" "%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx256m -Djava.library.path=libs/native -jar Qora.jar
) ELSE (
ECHO Java software not found on your system. Please go to http://java.com/en/ to download a copy of Java.
PAUSE
)
)
)
Props to NXT developers. Not made by me, I just edited.

Nope, not working.

I installed java somewhere else, my bat looks like this and it works: (change the route yourself)

Code:
@ECHO OFF
IF EXIST java (
   start "Qora" java -Xmx256m -Djava.library.path=libs/native -jar Qora.jar
) ELSE (
   IF EXIST "d:\Java\" (

   ) ELSE (
      IF EXIST "%\Java\" (
         start "Qora" "d:\Java\bin\java.exe" -Xmx256m -Djava.library.path=libs/native -jar Qora.jar
      ) ELSE (
         ECHO Java software not found on your system. Please go to http://java.com/en/ to download a copy of Java.

Having this open sourced and running on linux makes it worth it.
Even with the speedups, it's still competitive.

Got some instructions to set this up on PiMP 64 bit?

What pools can we use?

Seems like pumpers dumped all their bags...for now.

Let the accumulation begin.

What do you think of GT 630 4GB for this coin?

I think it won't mine too well...r7 240 4gb is faster.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v4.0 on: June 28, 2014, 09:37:33 PM
well version 4.0 and drivers 14.6 on 6950's seems to be way touchy, driver crash and thread hangs 98% of the time..... will test 4.0 on 13.12 drivers and report results.
asus 280x's 2x achieve 1068H/s at 1190-1800 and stable on 4.0 miner with 13.12 drivers.
x2 7950's achieve 950h/s at 1145-1250 and stable with 4.0 miner with 13.12 drivers.
X2 Gb 280x's with elpida memory do 791 at stock clocks and stable with 4.0 miner and 14.6 drivers. have yet to OC to gain higher results....

Edit*
Asus 6950 runs 90% stable with v3.4 miner with 13.12 drivers. 200H/s at stock clocks, 925-1200 nets 215h/s stable.
x2 GB 280x's do 401H/s each netting 802h/s at 1170-1500, OC'ed. High OC seems to not really be worth it given the small gain's from the much higher clocks... althou its stable for now.

Works fine on a HD 6950 with 2GB of memory, but the 1GB version crashes. Seems like the old cards have to have 2GB memory  or more to run proper with the new 4.0 miner.

My 5970 with 1gb of memory works fine

Technically that's a 2GB card, 2x 1GB 5870's.

No, 1gb card, 1gb buffer mirrored on each core. 1gb usable mem.

Glad to see things moving, as usual. I have faith in both Qora and Node, really promising projects.
Do I need a link to my bitcointalk profile in the spreadsheet? Account and test node transaction id are there, but no profile link.

Thanks!

NO MORE FEES!
5% DONATE

The special program is created!
It is mini-proxy server - only one EXE file.
This program substitutes donate wallet for yours wallet.
Settings of the program are in the file: miner_proxy.conf
--------
[MAIN]
PORT=7777
POOL=mine.moneropool.com
POOLPORT=3334
--------

port - local port
pool - pool URL
poolport - remote port

This program has to be started before miner but on the same computer with miner.
As it is necessary to replace pool adress:
For example:
from:
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+tcp://mine.moneropool.com:3334 -u [WALLET] -p x
to:
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+tcp://127.0.0.1:7777 -u [WALLET] -p x

Instead "mine.moneropool.com:3334" is "127.0.0.1:7777"

Pool and program options in the file miner_proxy.conf

You can download right now:
http://vk.cc/2JHa6u

This is test version with restriction.
We can adapt it under yours wallet

232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] YACoin ongoing development on: June 25, 2014, 06:19:33 PM
A few people told me to check YACoin again to add to CPU Coin List since the difficulty made GPU mining much harder. Is that true?

I tried to check the HW stats on wiki but wiki is dead.

Is there an up-to-date list of GPU has rates?

I've got some insight for you:

Radeon R7 240 4GB - 1.1 KH/sec
Radeon R7 250 2GB - 0.8 KH/sec

Core i7 3610 laptop - 0.31 KH/sec

No GPU with 2GB of memory or less has shown to hit over ~1.2 KH/sec (750Ti).  I don't have solid numbers on the higher end AMD cards with 4GB, but none of them can utilize all of the available shaders without lookup-gap going to the moon which really kills performance.  If they hit much higher than 2.5 KH/sec I would be surprised.

so, the GPU advantage is likely less than 10x depending on what hardware you choose for GPU and CPU.

And I'm getting 410 hash/s on an I7-3770S which equates to 22 cents per day before electrical costs --> www.whattomine.com

I'm wondering how that matches up with other CPU coins on the list regardless of the 'GPU advantage'...

It can net 270h/s mining monero, so: http://www.whatmine.com/

Interesting...need to get back into yac mining, don't have any suitable gpu yet. :/
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty for Open-Sourced XMR/Cryptonight GPU Miner Bounties Thread on: June 24, 2014, 09:30:51 PM
How fast does it work compared to CPU mining? cost efficiency wise?

211h/s on a 60w gpu...you can plug 6 on a cheap h81 pro btc board, total power draw is 325w using a g3220 and 8gb of ram.
Total rig cost is less than the cost of a multi socket server rig.

1260h/s is rather good, and power efficiency is superb. It can only get better too, so yeah, well deserved bounty.

@tsiv
any thoughts about FCN and merged mining?

btw. your -l 8x60 is also with my rigs the fastest option i tried so far

I don't think you can pass launch configs to ccminer...cudaminer takes those, not cc, afaik.

LOL everyone offers alpha/beta testing. Make me laugh.  Grin
Did this happen before with Christian?
Stop this guys, this just makes us look greedy in tsiv's eyes. He will opensource this miner when he thinks it's ready. In the meantime, we still have a lot of others coins to mine.  Cool

EDIT: holy cow. He publishes it 3 seconds before my post. You see? LOL

I'm doing this the Microsoft Way (tm). "If it more or less works, launch it. Maybe fix some huge problems with it sometime next year, if enough people complain long and hard enough. Maybe."

Collect the monero bounty for an open source miner...it was rather decent!
Major props Cheesy
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v3.3 on: June 24, 2014, 01:32:50 AM
running a GV-R928XOC-3GD (rev. 2.0) r9 280x as my main display and hashing @ 370h/s. windows 64/default 13.12/bat:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+tcp://

am I missing something? Could I be burning up 80h/s in display?

Same here on one of the amd rigs...4x280x doing 1495h/s (maybe a cpu bottleneck?)

On one of the rigs I get an app crash, and it won't mine no matter what.

Wolf0, I've ran folding at home using alinux VM before (virtual box) and it ran like native Linux on the CPU side of things.

you could make a prebuilt mining is image for windows users to mine with. Might get you some extra tips too
what do you think?
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 20, 2014, 02:51:40 AM
I feel most of these "CPU only" coins already have a gpu from the start.

Take NUD, dev claimed cpu only with a variant of scrypt mining. Guess what? It was just a regular scrypt coin. Dev even said at release that scrypt miners would not work. My feeling was so that person or group could gpu mine while everyone else was cpu mining.

I know that might not make sense. But it seems like some of these coins are coming out with a few details being left out.

It's a good way to scam people that's for sure, they can hide an instamine with the no premine premise.
