Personally... i am fine with not getting on an exchange right now... difficulty is low so am stocking up on meows..
Also the wallet hasn't been updated yet, right? so i wouldn't suggest we try an exchange till that's settled..and that likely wont be settled till we get the LOGO contest down..
I would however advice a Viral Campaign immediately after the wallet update.. on the par of and beyond doge.. a viral campaign with a reefer smoking cat will fail.. doge was cute.. so it pretty much was accessible to everyone and anyone..
You got the right idea here. We are trying to circle the wagons on kittehcoin, looking for more devs to help out; get the wallets aligned branding-wise, update the website and wiki, and then do a campaign. If you want to help out ( if anyone who wants to help out) please PM me! Kitteh will be better than ever if we spread the workload, and there will be more ideas on how to make it awesome! I'm willing to handle the OSX wallet maintenance, wiki maintenance, and some website work as well. We need people to help with windows wallets, another web guy for when I'm busy on OSX wallets, and someone who is good with marketing. IMO to make Kitteh fly these are "next steps":1. Determine final MEOW logo- Monday 1/7 via a poll https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=394978.02. Update all wallets with new logo in ALL places, update wiki with logo, update website with logo (this should be quick) 3. Update wiki with info on where to get wallets, what exchanges MEOW is on and what sites support MEOW (also pretty quick) 4. Update website 5. (optional) setup MEOW forums, seems beneficial, MERGE /r/kittehcoin and /r/kittehcoinmeow and brand the subreddits correctly 6. Marketing / Viral Campaign What do you guys think of that? I think we are a week or two away from #6 at which point the price should increase nicely. I'll help any way I can. I'm a seasoned Windows/.Net/MSSQL developer but pretty rusty (like 10 years ago rusty) on Linux and C++. And I pretty much such at graphic design. But I do own a web hosting company with several servers, 40+MBps dedicated bandwidth, backup generators, the works.

And in his Dec 31st update he did mention he was looking for help because people want much Kitteh! He especially needs help with getting the wallets compiled with the latest logos (cute cat is the logo for now, but contest will decide new logo by Monday if Lonestar108 is cool with it- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=394978.0). Dev has been a ghost on these forums for the past 2-3 days at least (no offense to Lonestar108 - he seems very devoted, but he has been absent lately), logo is undecided, not much promotion being done.... in my opinion this coin hit the exchange about a week too early. Give it time, now is a great time to buy.
He's been sick he even posted that in this thread. I've been helping out- we got a working OSX 10.7+ wallet working and a logo contest in progress without the main dev even being available. i think lonestar will be shocked at the coins progress

Does anyone have any instructions on how to compile this in windows. I got QT-creator installed and mingw32 properly installed, but trying to get the rest of the libraries linked properly is proving to be a real pain.
If someone could post the kittehcoin-qt.pro windows file, I could go from there. I just think a good windows wallet without the marijuana cat is necessary for more widespread adoption.

If you get it figgured out, use the cute cat gold coin logo on front page ...way better better off just holding at this rate. No way am I going to sell my kittehs for the same price as the failed mooncoin although I may buy  I'm holdin ma kittehs  We've grown this much while the Lonestar108 has been sick, think of how much more it'll grow once we actually start marketing it and get the official logo set and updated across all the platform wallets. more importantly.. coinedup while decent.. has always had a small volume of trade.. any1 have any idea how they make money? cos they even shut down their mining pools
We'll get there, we just got the wallet for MacOSX working today and we're working on a better logo then there will be a stronger marketing push. Good time to buy if you can score a good price (and kitteh is not just for sale on CoinedUp, there are other places to buy that require more trust - ebay, reddit, etc) |
